I went to the Demolition Derby as a kid, and loved it. My fiancee wanted to go to the Allentown Fair, and I jumped at the opportunity to go to the demolition derby again to re-live a childhood memory. It was even better than I remembered.

There are better options nearby for half the cost. We thought that since this event was run by a professional company at the fair that it would be a good event. The lot available for the demolition derby was small so they could have many cars compete and it took 3 times as long to clear the field after each heat than it did for the cars to actually compete. They only had one vehicle to remove the damaged cars and they made the process painfully slow. I also don't know why the DJ played only cartoon theme songs after the first heat...most people in the audience would have preferred silence instead of that blaring. In almost 3 hours they only had 5 heats, by that point we left and didn't feel like waiting for the last one. I'd recommend other Demolition Derbies that put on a better competition and where they can clear the field faster so you can spend more time watching the derby and less time watching them clear the field.

Lot's of cut back's this year, smaller heats, only 1 truck to remove Cars between heats which made for a very long drawn out evening. Hope they address these items and get this show back to the glory it once was.

We love this event and go every year..... The food at the fair was lousy, overly greasy and way too expensive for a venue such as this, but the Demolition derby never disappoints

It was an over-all great show. The compact car heat was a little weak but the big cars more than made up for that. There was a lot of heavy hitting and a lot of drivers that knew how to put on an exciting show. I have attended demolition derbies for years (and driven in a few). This was one of the best demolition derby shows I have seen in years. My son and I had a great time.

It was once again a great show only complaint was that it took too long to get the demolished cars off the field. They used to have more pick up truck helping and this year it just 2 front loaders. That was the only complaint

The cars were already beat up from a previous derby and the action was slow. Drivers were allowed to hit driver side doors, I think that's dangerous.

Very exciting, action was non-stop. J n J does a great job keeping the flow so there is not too much waiting between heats. The only problem was the 400 lb man stuffed in the seat right in front of my wife s seat . Say no to crack!!!

This was my first visit to the state fair and a demolition derby. it was great fun for me and my girlfriend, whom i didn't expect would get so pumped up by metal mish-mash. truck demolition was intense. i did hope for monster truck appearances, but i guess not in this one. definitely a must see for first timers, and for having a good time as a group.

For my first demo derby as well as the first for my 7 and 11 year old boys, we were impressed by the number of cars involved, the great announcing, and the entertainment. The grandstands protected us from the rain but allowed for a muddy field which made the event even better. Even watching the sledge hammer crew at work on the tie rods was cool in between the heats. Overall, a nice couple of hours of enjoying good old fashion smash mouth demolition.
