Bad Plus
THE BAD PLUS IN CONCERT:Avant-jazz sensation The Bad Plus is the kind of band that must be seen to be believed. Comprised of bassist Reid Anderson, pianist Ethan Iverson, and drummer David King, the genre-defying trio specializes in combining '60s jazz with indie rock elements to arrive at a thoroughly modern sound. At their improvisational live shows, the group transitions seamlessly from rhythmically steady pop anthems to heavily syncopated jazz arrangements. In addition to their extensive catalog of original material, The Bad Plus dazzles ticket buyers by deconstructing familiar rock hits by artists as diverse as David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Radiohead, and Queen.

I am a fan of both Bad Plus and Joshua Redman. I have seen both previously. Redman fits seemlessly into the group. This music isn't for everybody, but for fans of their music this is a can't miss.
