Slightly Stoopid

Slightly Stoopid

Discovered by Sublime’s Bradley Nowell while they were still in high school, co-founders Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald have turned Slightly Stoopid from adolescent upstart to one of the most successful summer festival bands on the circuit. Known for their  eclectic mix of rock, reggae, punk, funk, and hip-hop, the band's eight members deliver a beachy, vibey live concert that never fails to delight their devoted following. Their most recent album, 2012's Top of the World, was also their most successful to date, peaking at No. 4 on Billboard’s Alternative and Rock Albums charts and earning praise for its sonic ingenuity and ambitious exploration of styles.

The show w/ Stephen Marley and Slightly Stoopid was great. I'm a long-time fan, meaning I'm over 35 yrs old. I never miss Slightly Stoopid, but I must say I wasn't a big fan of Snoop! He could of played 30 min less, so we could hear more Miles/Kyle.

Awesome show. Good call on the lineup order. Both snoop and slightly are equally good artists in my opinion, snoop having the elder edge but slightly with a newer sound. But slightly really closed the show out with some mellow jams. Wished I could have seen Snoop rip some slightly stupid instrumentals

This concert was my first st the SB Bowl and I couldn't have picked a better line up! Mickey Avalon did his thang, Steven Marley is the true air-apparent to his father's throne, Snoop got everyone up on their feet, and Slightly Stoopid brought it home with their smooth herbal melodies. Marley's musical style and voice resemble the timeless yet politically relevant sounds of his Father. Between the lovely ladies singing with him and his son(?) dancing on stage I could have listened to Marley all night!! Snoop gave us some of those classic jams most of us have grown up knowing which are as gangster as ever...would we expect anything else? I have never seen Stoopid in person and was only familiar with ther bigger hits... I was very pleasantly suprised with the length of their performance and the quality of their sound in person!! DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND GO UP IN SMOKE!!! Peace & Love!

My husband & I had a blast! The music & atmosphere were exactly how we imagined it! Snoop's performance was awesome & Slightly Stoopid was a great way to end the nite! One problem that we had, we waited in line to get our alcohol bracelets the entire stephen marley section... Very sad to have missed it, but sounded great anyways!

I had so much fun at the Blazed & Confused concert last night...Although we got there at the very end of Mickey Avalon's set, we got to hear "Jane Fonda" which was a winner, as always. Stephen Marley was awesome!!...and being at the SB Bowl outside made it even better. Snoop was so much fun to watch, and he performed some of his best songs. He had the whole audience on their feet! Slightly Stoopid was a great way to finish the concert, especially since it had gotten dark and their music is so chill :-)

We've always loved Dirty Heads and Slightly Stoopid, but this was our first opportunity to see them at the same venue/event. Bottom line, excellent... Dirty Heads were great fun to hear live and we enjoyed their energy and playfulness. Slightly Stoopid was just fantastic -- they are as good, if not better, live than in the studio. They played tight, the horns and sax were spot on, the mixing was just right... Just a great concert overall. Plus, it's hard to beat the venue...

This was an amazing show! with it being a smaller venue, at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus Ohio, the band can get physically and mentally closer to the crowd and its also more affordable! Slightly Stoopid, Stephen Marley and GLove were awesome! This was not my first time seeing them all, nor my first time at Sunset Cove, but it again will not be my last! Sunset Cove is by far my most favorite amphitheatre in south Florida, from Miami all the way up past WPB. The venue is set on a lake where the sun always sets during the start of the show. It really sets a great vibe!

Missed Fishbone since we got there late but we were able to catch Stephen Marley (who by the way, covered his some of his dad's songs!), NoFX, and Slightly Stoopid. I have been wanting to see NoFX since I was 11 so the 20 year wait was worth it! Slightly Stoopid had the crowd going! Everyone around me was out of their seats dancing if they weren't stoned out of their minds.

These guys really know how to put on a great show! Their set list was really diverse not only because it spanned a lot of their different songs, but because they even threw a Nirvana cover out there. They even encouraged the audience to shout out their requests. They've got some really great stage presence and they like working up the crowd and interacting with them. The special guests that joined them were a great addition to the show as well. Over all it was definitely a good time seeing them live.

All three acts were amazing. Atmosphere was absolute perfection. Slightly Stoopid killed it in the driving rain. Been dying to see them both for years. And Tribal Seeds got things started right with a nice reggae groove. Beautiful night, even with the rain, great (but small-ish) crowd, and amazing music. This was my 3rd time seeing Slightly Stoopid and my first time seeing the other three bands that performed and it was awesome! This was my second time at the Sleep Train venue and the vibe there is amazing. Sometimes the security gets annoying but that's everywhere you go, they are just trying to keep everything organized and safe. I liked the concert: I am not a huge fan of underground hip hop but my girlfriend is. She was dying to see Atmosphere live, so we arrived very early and got good spots in the pit when it was still the warmup party. We had fun: the crowd was friendly, no one pushed you or stepped on your shoes. Food and beverage options were available even though very expensive. When Atmosphere came on stage, people were going crazy (including my girlfriend). I have liked the music and could see people knew the lyrics by heart. We didn't stay for Slightly Stoopid but I am sure it was as good: lighting and sound effects were amazing too. Maybe a bass that was too strong made me feel dizzy sometimes! But I would totally recommend the band and the crew!

Great show! I may even like this venue better than Red Rocks! All three bands Fan Freekin' Tastic. I'd hardly heard any Pepper but they were barrel o'monkeys fun. We were in the back on the bleachers and it allowed us to watch the trees to stage right blow in the wind. It looked like they were doing a hula dance to the music. Freaking Magical. My bf and i booked this show back in Feb and have been psyched and talking about it since! That's a lot to love up to and i gotta say. Way to live up to expectations! Fortunate youth put on a great opener. SOJA second with an amazing set. Nothing ever changes actually got me choked up. It does on the track, in person was just so overwhelming. They love their fans, and humans in this place called earth. His whole set talking in between songs about being good to each other.. that if you see somebody down...to help them up. Soja has become my favorite band since waiting for this show. Slightly stoopid played amazing and such a great set. From what i heard the switched there line of songs up from what they've been playing on this tour and they played a lot of old jams. I had such a great time. It started out with some rain when I got there, which delayed the performance a bit but the clouds broke & the sun came out. They had the summer stage set up outside where Cypress Hill & Slightly Stoopid performed. As always, a great performance. Collie Buddz even came out on stage with Slightly Stoopid. The Stone Pony is a great venue, located right accross the street from the boardwalk. I love the fact that they block off the under 21 crowd. Over 21 has full access, including the inside bar area. The beverage price also beats any other venue I've been too. Collie Buddz performed inside with the Brooklyn Band "New Kingston". I was very impressed. I look forward to seeing them again. I'll be back at the Stone Pony on Aug. 25th to see Sublime (w/ new frontman Rome). Stone Pony Rocks!

The Slightly Stoopid concert in Seattle was unforgettable! I ended up getting Kyle's guitar pick! I was right next to the stage... closest you could get! They were incredible and the the AGGROLITES rocked my world! I ended up hanging out with the bassist and the Singer at like 3am in a little restaurant near the space needle. They ended up putting me on the guest list for the sold out Portland show! At that show i gotta another pick from Kyle and C-money's towl! and gotta see jeff the bassist from AGGROLITES again! they were absolutely amazinggg! Also dancing around in a hot boxed room and goiin crazy was the best ever!

Got there late but just in time to catch Marley. I had gone just to see Stoopid but Snoop Dogg really opened it up for me, his set was super tight and it was an unexpected surprise. The venue's sound had some echoing which was ok. The stage setups were really cool (backdrops, lights, props were all good) Finally Slightly Stoopid just made my night, solid set list and good performance. The only disappointment was that I didn't have enough time to roll a blunt and take it in and that Snoop didn't come out and rap with Stoopid, everything else was everything I wanted in that show.

I arrived too late to see Mickey Avalon, but i didn't mind, i really went to see Slightly Stoopid, and Snoop Dogg was a major plus! Stephen Marley didn't really amaze me much, he was good background noise but nothing major. I think it was mainly because when he played it was still light outside so the atmosphere was different and i wasn't in concert mode yet. Snoop Dogg was so incredible i loveddd himm, he put on an amazing show!!! Slight Stoopid was also sick, they played more of their reggae songs to go with the rest of the concert and personally i like their punk rock songs more but still an amazing show nonetheless!

First of all the venue was perfect for this show, and the weather was great. Stephen Marley came out and put on a fantastic show with tribute songs for the Late Great Bob Marley and The King of Pop. Then Snoop got the crowd hyped up with some classic gangster tracks from the 90's and early 2000's with favorites such as "Drop it like its hot" and "Gin and Juice". Then Slightly stoopid came out and brought the roof down. They played almost all the favorites.

The show at redrocks with snoop dogg and slightly stoopid was awesome!! I've seen them both before, but together was just insane! Stephen Marley was also great to see. If you get a chance to see this tour somewhere else, do it!! Glad I went, best show for me so far this summer!

I'm from germany and this is my first time in the US. A good friend offered me that opportunity to go and see Slightly Stoopid and Snoop Dogg at Red Rocks. It was amazing. It was the first concert I went to. The whole atmosphere was breathtaking, when everyone was supporting the lyrics. I heard Slightly Stoopid for the first time and they were giving cool vibes. All in all? More than worth going to see them where ever there are next! Enjoy it if you plan to go, I really did!

Third time I have seen Snoop Dog perform and I always have a blast from the past. His energy is so fun and happy. Snoop never skips a beat and has me dancing from beginning to end and cant get enough. Slightly Stoopid has very cool fun songs that keep me grooving. Definitely a great time.

Union Bank & Trust did a great job of putting together the stage and venue area to make the concert a really enjoyable time even though the pavilion was down for construction. Great show by Pepper, Stick Figure, and Slightly Stoopid

Six of us had looked forward to seeing Stick Figure and Slightly Stoopid since buying tix two months ago. We weren't disappointed, they were both awesome! We would have been fine with less profanity throughout the evening, and Redhat Amphitheater definitely needs to at least double their restroom capacity. Still, very happy to have seen SF & SS!
