I'm proof that even a 26 year old who grew up listening to the oldies, can have a blast with the crowed who grew up with Doo Wop. My mother and I had floor seats and the view was perfect. The stage was in the middle of the areana and most of the performers made sure to give each side of the audience their attention. The car show before the event was just as amazing, truly stepped back in time. Overall, the group harmony still lives and any age audience will never forget a night of Doo Wop. We will be going back next year!!

This show was amazing, funny, and such a happy time. It was great to see a lot of the "older" groups and performers that still sound the same from so long ago. We were most impressed with Jay Black. He is funny and a true artist. The Crest's were another group that made the show so memorable. All the groups performed to the highest expectation! Myself and friends would all recommend this show to anyone who loves classic cars and classic sounds!

Just the perfect size dose of 7 Doowop legends intro'd the the heart touching performance of 15 year old Amanda Nikka. All acts were timed out "Short and Sweet". Not once did I catch myself looking at my watch nor fidgeting in my seat. Not one performer dissapointed! The show had the perfect climax with the immortle Jay Black. I can never get tired of seeing this guy who's without a doubt my favorite male vocalist. But its not just Jay's singing but his stage presence altogether. He is just such an all around entertainer!

I have gone to this show faithfully for the last ten years and each year its seems to get better and better. Great perfomances - best music of our lifetime - makes you feel like a teenager again. I look forward to it each year and hope Debrah Nader will continue this tradition in memory of her late husband, Richard. Excellent!!!!

If you like Doowop music, this was an enjoyable concert. The acts were older, but most of them could still really sing. They did a good job.

Doowop Reunion XXll, was a blast from the past indeed. I was taking down memory lane to flying on cloud nine. My husband and I feel in love all over again. We brought our 10 year old grandson he thought that Kenny Vance and the platones were really cool. The brooklyn bridge, Jay Black, The Duprees, All the groups that was present just completely blew me away. We really enjoyed ourselves, afterwards we went to stewarts because, they bring your food to the car like in the old days. That was the topping to a great evening

This should not have been called a doowop concert- less than 75% was doowop. It more accurately was an oldies concert. Even the main event-Jay Black- is definitely not a doowop singer, nor for that matter are the Duprees or the girl group ( Chiffons? - I forget). Doesn't Mrs. Nader know the difference? Where did they dig up Johnny Thunder - he was awful. The highlights for me were the Planatones and the Duprees.

THE SHOW WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE. ONLY ONE PROBLEM, THE BOX ONTHE LEFT OF OUR SEATS WERE VERY LOUD AND WE COMPLAINED AND NO ONE DID ANYTHING TILL THE SECOND PART OF THE SHOW. BUT ALL IN ALL IT WAS GREAT. I HAVE BEEN A JOHNNY MAESTRO FAN FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND SEEING THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE WITH FREDDY AND LES BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. THANK-YOU FOR HAVING THEM

We have had tickets to two shows previously and were unable to attend. This was our first one and it will not be the last. The performers were top notch. Jay Black stole the show of course, especially with Cara Mia. Unbelievable. I was sorry when it was over.

I've seen Richard Nader's Summer Doowop concerts before and they are amazing. I would like this show to go out in the Alantic City area some time like in one of the casinos. I would go there in a heartbeat.

I took my mom, aunt and their friend for a Mother's day gift to each. They all grew up with the music. They loved the show - and I did, too! My mom just had surgery a few weeks before and the IZOD had a service where they took my mother to her seat in a wheelchair. This saved the night!! They were nice and professional about making sure she got to and from the seat without any issues. We sat in the 3rd row from the stage and it happened to be infront of the band...which I liked, but the older crew didn't like so much....oh well, to me it made it more fun!!

Incredible show. Duprees were great, Kennny Vance and Jay Black amazing. The best part of show was Kenny and Jay singing let it be me. It should be released as a single. This music is the real thing, not like the trash put out today.

good show, easy to get to, and great seats, except for the speaker that was directly in front of us, but I am sure that this cannot be helped. A little bit of a neck strain, but better than having to look around or over someone in front of us.. Overall really good!

Over all, the acts all met or exceeded expectations: the performers all put on good acts; their backup singers and musicians all did a good job, but . . . the Pru Ctr does not really lend itself to concerts (and especially so concerts of this nature). From the very, very poor stage lighting to the terrible, terrible acoustics that are at play here, having to sit through this performance was "uncomfortable," at best, and "painful" at worst.. Add to this the fact that many of the acts stood facing that part of the arena where there were, for the most part, just row upon row of empty seats, it meant that the rest of us just got to see the backs of their necks #and those other areas that lurk back that way#. More than once you could hear a "Hey! Tell them to turn around!" coming from the audience; sometimes it got results; sometimes it didn't. My suggestion is that, next year #and in the years following# the Nader group takes this show to a different venue. Additionally, this is a "Doo Wop Show," right? With that being the case #as some other reviewer has already pointed out# what in the heck was Mary Wilson #late of "The Supremes"# doing here? Noting that she sang sounded anything at all like a Doo Wop number!

We came to see the many performers and we were NOT disappointed. It is amazing that after all these years their voices and the exuberance has not dwindled. The harmonies were right on and if we closed our eyes, we were transported back to a bygone era. To hear the Duprees, Mel Carter, Mary Wilson, the Harptones and all the other acts one more time was a memory I will hang on to for a long time. There were some issues regarding the production of the concert. The new venue seemed to catch the team off-guard. The lighting was a major problem and the sound cut out sometimes [though I suspect it might have been the singers not holding the mic close enough]. The main complaint was perhaps that the singers had their backs to many of the audience as the stage was set up to be "in the round". Overall, I would go back again, if only to hear the wonderful talent offered. I appreciate the opportunity to see these acts whenever possible.

Overall it was a great show, the Heartbeats were great, Willie Winfield and the Harptones were fabulous, Sonny Turner, Mel Carter all wonderful, the only one that was a problem was Mary Wilson who seemed a bit out in outer space.

This is the second show we saw two years in a row. Our disappoint came at the ending of both shows. Last year was Jay and the Americans, who had no start in Doo Wop this year was Mary Wilson who belongs to Motown and not to Doo Wop either. Disappointed in both shows and we contemplate attending again. The announcer who explained herself to have the best job didn't really do her homework on these shows! Nor was she born when Doo Wop was born.

The performers were wonderful! The songs brought back such fond memories of being down the Jersey shore. Tommy Mara and The Crests were terrific. Mary Wilson was amazing! She's 71 and strutted her stuff effortlessly. I would definitely see this again. Age has blessed their voices. What a fun, fun evening!

Loved this show-- The Tokens, The Duprees and all the groups amazed with their voices, their showmanship, loved how they walked around in a circle so that we could see them no matter where we sat. For men in their 70s(?) they sang beautiful songs it was a very nostalgic evening.

Got there early to see the classic car show, which is always a blast and brings back great memories of the 50s and 60s (just like the music of that era!) Most of the groups sounded good and had good harmony. The Duprees, the Crests, the Excellents, and the Tokens sounded great! Jay Black's voice is not the voice anymore. I know he'll be 75 in Sept. (he told us so), but I've seen him live for the last 30 yrs and he was wonderful. Somewhat disappointing now, even tho he still is funny in his banter with the audience. Gene Chandler did a great Duke of Earl routine and the Tokens with Jay Siegel still sounded super on all their big hits. A really fun evening!

Where to begin. Fabulous. Favorites were (in no particular order) Tommy Mara & the Crests, Jay Seigel's Tokens, Gene Chandler, John Kuse & the Excellents and Lenny Coco and The Chimes. Even the kids that opened the show "The Whip Tones" with their acapela number were great. Some little low points, they need to lose the Elvis impersonator; looks like him, has the moves, can't sing. Get rid of "Twin Gold", horrible voices but they sang a patriotic song so they charmed the crowd. The BIGGEST disappointment was Jay Black. He really needs to retire. Dressed like a schlub, could hardly walk and the voice is gone. He can still hit the high notes but the quality of his voice has dramatically changed. He belongs out there with the remnants of the BeachBoys. Brags about turning 73 and looks 83. On the other hand, Gene Chandler who is 75 years old, brought down the house. Still a tremendous entertainer with a magnificent voice to match. Tommy Mara, what an incredible talent. Thanks to the Nader people for keeping the music alive.

It is sad to say that this music is slowly being forgotten. I was so impressed with all the groups from the late 50s early 60s i think they all sounded amazing and have kept themselves in amazing shape all except for one and he should know that it is time to give it up. Even tho I am a child of the 60s/70s i remember most of this music thanks to my sister. It was a great nite of music and I would definitely do this again.

the show was fantastic as usual, great old time singers. We were disappointed however that there were not enough brochures for every ticket holder. I was there early enough with 2 friends and none of us got any pamphlet/brochure because they said they ran out so we had to rely on the announcer to know a little about the artists. We like to keep one every year for memory sake.

Show was awesome. I love the 50's music. It is great. I listen to it in my car all the time on my Sirius radio. I have gone to this show for the last few years now and it gets better every year. This time I went to see the car show and got autographs. I plan on going every year if I can. I have to say Jay Black is amazing. He could still hit those high notes and he is so funny. I do wish he would have sang "Only in America". I missed that.

It was great to hear the music that I grew up with (and still love). Granted, the performers looked different - but so did most of the audience! Not all of the audience was "oldies" - there were some "young people" sitting behind us who weren't even born when the songs that we were listening to were on popular radio (WABC -77 AM). Gene Chandler was, by far, the best performer of the evening! What a showman - he performed better than many people 20-30 years younger. His "Duke of Earl" - with an off-stage entrance through the floor seats was pitch-perfect and brought the audience to its feet.!
