Bunbury Music Festival

LOVE the river stage and the acts I saw there. Tall Heights and Magic Giant were wonderful! Sir Sky should have been given a bigger stage.

Great value if you buy early and buying a three day pass. Fantastic array of music. The people watching is amazing and we were fortunate to have great weather this year. Already planning our trip down next year!

I love the Bunbury music festival. This year did not disappoint- the line up rivaled major festivals across the country!

Amazing music, beer and food. They had an amazing line up of artists.

We were very confused and dissapointed by the lack of signage for entry into the event. Very poorly organized. I felt sorry for all of the event volunteers who had no idea what they should be doing to help people!! The music was great and I wanted to see most of the acts but the food lines were ridiculous. I missed Old Crow Medicine show because we left the festival to try to find somewhere to get a bite. The water lines on Friday were ridiculous also!!! If it had been a hotter day, I think there could have been serious health issues!! The setting along the river was beautiful but the space seemed too narrow for the size of the crowd. This was one of the poorest run festivals I have attended.

The venue is lovely, and arriving early, it was a great experience -- then everyone showed up. We were not allowed to bring in water, but the filling stations became quickly overwhelmed. I ended up using my "food" money to purchase water at $3 a bottle. But, but the end of the night, the beverage stage near the main stage had run out of water and any diet sodas, so I had my first Red Bull. (At least it kept me awake long enough to get home) I understand that issues were addressed for the 2nd and 3rd day, and people we allowed to bring in water. I think if it weren't for the sell-out crowd, it would have been a perfect event. But the resources were not sufficient.

Royal Blood absolutely was the best act at Bunbury this year-rock and roll!!!

I am extremely disappointed by the set-up of this festival. I have been to many other festivals that hold more people, and they have gone smoothly - so I know it's possible. The limited access to water fill-up stations met with the nasty security that was forcing camel back emptying was absurd. (And only one entrance was even checking full camel backs). NEVER should I have to wait for an hour to get water, but only 5 minutes for a beer. It was like a joke that there were "misting stations". How about we use that water to hydrate the guests next time instead of letting it run all over the ground? (HELLO WE HAVE A DEVASTATING DROUGHT ON THE WEST COAST) It seemed like SUCH A WASTE. Don't even get me stared on food lines. This festival was poorly planned and this lead to me having a mediocre time.

Bunbury is my favorite event!! I love the music and the people!

can't wait for next year- music and experience was great esp after first night when ligistics of getting in were a little lackluster. I'll be back next year!

The line up was incredible. The event didn't seem to be very well organized. It was difficult to find the entry point, and for an event with this many tickets sold, there needs to be more than one entry. The staff tried hard, but were very inefficient at getting people in. The food vendors were very inefficient too. Took way too long to get through the lines and had to wait 10 minutes for the food to be delivered. Beer lines were ridiculously slow. I believe too many tickets were sold, especially for the price of the tickets, for the size of the venue. Not enough room in front to see The Black Keys. The closer's stage needs to have more room. Hard to get out of the venue too. Need to have more exits!

The bands were fantastic, but, it was the worst organized festival I have ever been to and they oversold for the size of the venue.

This was not well planned and it seemed to be oversold. Not enough water. Long waiting lines.

Poorly planned and inadequately staffed event. 45 minute line to enter event; 30 minute line to get water, only to be told no water. No re-enrty?!? Forecastle and Lollapalooza are the real deal; this is a pathetic (yet profitable) attempt of a music concert. Last one I go to.

The venue was nice, however I am not sure because of the rain if the TV's were busted for The Black Keys set. There really should have been all screens on for their set. No one could see if you weren't right up on the stage. Also, saw them a few years back and the sound wasn't as good as last time. On the other hand, Tame Impala was amazeballs! Even in the downpour. Feedback to venue: have more entrances to get in ( line was redik), beer lines were terrible ( need to do drink tickets or some other system).

What a waste - the lineup looked so promising, yet when it came time, the venue didnt deliver. Lines for everything from food, to beer, to the water fountains were 20-30 minutes long everywhere, porta-potties were filled to capacity, and water was impossible to find during the hottest part of the day. The new owners clearly cared more about selling tickets and packing the place with people than actually caring about us concert-goers.

Everything about this festival was great. The food prices were reasonable, beer prices were reasonable and the overall set up was great. I loved that they had free water stations, especially since it got really hot. The bands that played on Friday in particular were fantastic as well. Catfish and the Bottlemen,Walk the Moon, Royal Blood, Matt and Kim and The Black Keys were all phenomenal!

After the hiccups of the opening day, I was totally impressed that Promo West reacted and made some important changes. Could not have been happier with my time at Bunburry.

Music was good. Logistics were a disaster. Waited in line to get in for an hour because only 1 entrance gate. No booths were selling water and it was 90+ degrees. ATMs all ran out of cash.

We loved the bands and the stages and sound. Getting a drink of water or adult beverage or almost any food involved waiting in a long line. In late afternoon it took 30 minutes to get to the drinking fountain. We would recommend the show with hopes that food and drink service would improve.

There are a lot of great things happening at Bunbury. -Ease of access - Easy to get into -Cincinnati is a pretty good location -Being on the water adds to the beautiful venue -Beer was accessable and it is only moderately overpriced. -The bathrooms were well kept for the most part -Good food and choices at the start The negatives -Food vendors ran out of food -River stage was too small for the acts featured. Crowds of people would stand in the walk way trying to get a glimpse of a screen. It was comical watching people tug on the sound tent to get a glimpse through the tent's gaps. -Cutting the crowd in twain for the audio runs created unnecessary crowding in the lawn -The vape booth at the south side of the beer village created a bottleneck of people as they traveled from stage to stage. -A lot of feedback during Jack White's performance.

I always have a great time at this event! Love the atmosphere and the people!

Need more food locations..too many choke points ( water station by portopotty) food lines become outrageous, only one lemonade booth. Overall needs a new layout.

The VIP 3 day pass is the way to go. The VIP area on front of the stage was the best part. My son loves concerts and we were up front for each act. The discounted drinks, soda and water were great too. The bar staff were all amazing. Buy the ticket and enjoy.

I will never forget how amazing those 3 days were! Got to see my favorite bands in such a fun city and there were so many interesting things happening in the festival! The beer was great! The food was tasty! The people were fun! And the bands kicked major buns! :) I hope to attend Bunbury in the future! Thanks for the memories! :) :)

My siblings and I hit up Bunbury every year! It is such a great festival. Only downfall is the layout. It is hard to get around when the venue is sold out, like worse than any other festival I have been to. (I go to about 4-5 festivals a year.) That's why we always do VIP! VIP is the best. Only downfall this year is that they promised free food 3x a day, but the only way to get it was to stand in line a half hour early & even then you weren't guaranteed any. To be fair, they may not have been prepared for the number of people in VIP since they were sold out all 3 days. I am going to assume they will fix this issue next year. So yeah, if you are thinking about Bunbury, get VIP or suffer through the miserable lines & crowds in GA. Good times await!

I have grown up always hearing about bunbury but had never gone. This year I bought a single day ticket and absolutely loved it! it rained but that didn't stop the music. It only made the atmosphere more fun. My friend and I had a great time and parking wasnt as expensive as I planned on it being. The bands there really loved it to. The way it was set up was good -- but if you like a certain band you better line up! I will definitely be buying a three day pass next year! totally worth it!

Show was great however there were times when 2 good bands were playing at the same time making me choose which of the band's I paid to see that I wouldn't see. That sucked

I'll go every year! This show was awesome and the venue was amazing!

out of all the festivals ive been too this one was just blah... It had a good variety of music but it was hard to get to one side of the festival to the next to see the bands we wanted too. Headliners would start right after one another and if you wanted to see both you'd have to miss 10mins of one the shows. Please never schedule a rock band before a rapper again. During the coheed and cambria show we had little kids sitting on the ground during their concert. it was rude and disrespectful towards the band causing them to end their show 15mins early. On sunday that was one of the bands I was most excited for and all the little post Malone fans ruined it...

Of course it was a bummer that Blink 182 cancelled but over all this years line up was a little disappointing. Post was great and a lot of the lesser known bands were great but for the price of going would love to see more people I love!

Our first year going to this festival and we loved it. It s a smaller venue than what we re used to and it was fantastic. The location was great - right in downtown Cincinnati along the river. The stages were small enough that you could easily watch the artists (especially the amphitheater style one that Bishop Briggs and Sir Sly played at - our favorites of the fest). The line up was amazing. Plenty of delicious food choices and alcohol choices. We d definitely go again!

I love Bunbury, even though Blink 182 canceled on us, and I wasn t too keen on the lineup this year otherwise. But this year, it was packed. Wayyyyy crowded. It seems that she outgrew her venue about 3 times over. Would love to see Bunbury expand to allow the crowds somehow. Otherwise, it will be absolutely intolerable next year.

Beyond incredible weekend! No other words for it!!

It was overcrowded. You couldn t hear a lot of the bands.

Really awesome experience. I thought the set up was great.. the venue is perfect for the event. I can see sawyer point outgrowing bunbury at some point but right now it s perfect. Plenty of room, lots of bathroom areas, lots of food and drink areas set up. Lines can be long for bathrooms at times but I don t know what else you can expect for such a crowd that s drinking all day lol. Possibly could be more liquor trucks or stands because that line got way too long! Plenty of stands for beer and guys walking around selling. Volunteers did an excellent job of keeping everything moving. Everything was on schedule. I already bought tickets for next year :)

What you would expect from a concert. It was busy and there were plenty of performances. The thing that pissed me off was that water bottles were $3 no matter the vendor and $6 for a beer.

Title says it all. Will definitely put together a group next year to come to the Bunbury. Music was great - I didn t even mind the lines to get in, venue was great, beer and drinks plentiful. Only recommendation would be to add more food vendors for the mid-afternoon to late evening times. The food lines were too long for most of the vendors, especially by the Saylor Point Stage.

This was by far the best festival I ve been to and I would definitely go back again!

The scheduling needs improvement. Time between bands is needed in order to make it to stages in time for the show. If your trying to prevent too many people at one stage then just overlap more and make people chose! The way it is now isn,t working. Also for the river stage put speakers on side of stage, so everyone sitting on the sides can enjoy, so distorted otherwise. Great festival, going back for sure. Great beer prices!

Other than Blink not showing, still had an amazing weekend. This was my 4th time at Bunbury and this one was definitely one of the best lineups. Crowd came out for it as well. Never seen so many people at this event.

I loved the Chainsmokers! They were so energetic and they engaged the audience. It was a blast!

It would take the world's most spectacular lineup to get me back. I'm talking all 4 Beatles, Prince, Michael Jackson, etc. The communication of the festival is garbage. They didn't bother to update any of the schedules and materials without Blink, unless you used their app. But let's not forget how terrible cell service is at a music festival full of people. They only had 1 set during the evening hours, which seems nice because you get to see all headliners, but they were on opposite sides so you had 1000s of people rushing from stage to stage together, which was just a mess. There was great food options, but not enough and the lines were longer than lines at Disneyland. I came from out of town and I will not be back. The lineup was good, but the way it was split was kinda crappy. They were just majorly disorganized and had 0 hospitality.

I had a BAST! The venue was amazing and the staff was very friendly and very helpful!!!!! Spent most my time at this song o spent most my time at the Sawyer stage!!!!!

My best friend & I chose to go to this festival because of the lineup, mainly Young the Giant & The Front Bottoms. The groups that we saw were incredible, but the festival s scheduling was pretty terrible... during the late afternoon/early evening, there would be conflicts which is normal for a music festival. However, the last three time slots of each evening wouldn t have any conflicts...SO, that means that everyone is going to one stage for three acts in a row... it was nuts. Not well thought out at all. The festival was sold out for all three days, and I think that next year Bunbury should work on the scheduling to prevent overcrowding at one stage all night. Another thing was that Blink-182 had to cancel at the last minute. This was one of the big headliners. Bunbury did not replace this act at all. I would expect a festival to have backup bands on call if one has to cancel for any reason.

They re usually pretty meh with the lineup, but typically there s at least one headliner i like. They started doing this SUPER ANNOYING thing where they have a guy wander around the crowd selling beer during a performance. Totally ruins the experience when you re trying to watch the show and some guy selling beer decides to post up right I m front of you.

Great job again, Bunbury folks! The lineup this year was stellar and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, as we always have at each Bunbury festival. Can t wait until June, 2019!

I am a concert fanatic and live music is just one of the greatest things I have ever experienced. I decided to make the trek from Milwaukee for Sundays lineup especially since Thirty Seconds to Mars and Muse were there. But the line up from the start with Caamp who I found to be an amazing act and now are one of my favorites on my phone. The festival was in a great location along with river and Cinicinatti is a great city. I would make the trip again in a heartbeat.

The festival was so much fun and Jared Leto is an awesome performer!!!

I saw the end of Flogging Molly's set. The songs I heard were great. They had the whole crowd moving and singing along. A.F.I. put on an amazing show. The sound was very well mixed and sounded like a studio album. Each member had so much enthusiasm. Thirty Seconds To Mars was okay. Jared Leto sounded off key quite a bit when playing some of their recent music. When they played older songs, he sounded better. Jared Leto singing "The Kill" acoustically by himself was pretty great. The last band of the night was Muse. They always put on an incredible show. Their sound was incredible and their visual effects were insane as always. They had multiple video screens that moved and lights all over the place. My only complaint of the show was the time down time between bands. I understand they have to set up and do sound check but there was only two other stages and I did not want to see bands on those stages. I spent most of the time between bands walking around and getting food or trying to save a spot close to the stage for the next band.

The quality of the acts I saw this year was fantastic. The standouts for me were Killers, Diarrhea Planet, and Worn Flints. The lines for food and beverage were much improved over last year.

The food vendors were numerous, with a variety of food choices and all excellent! Beer and drink selection should have kept everyone satisfied all day long. And Florence rocked the crowd at the end of the night. All in all it was a GREAT day. The only reasons it doesnt get five stars: 1. The electronic wristband registration process was not working, confusing and disappointing. Although the procedure of "tapping to pay" is excellent in theory. 2. $2.00 to load your own money on the wristband, to buy their stuff seemed excessive. 3. $3.50 to get your own money refunded back to you is absolutely excessive 4. $5.50 for the whole process is just raping the customer; because you have no choice! 5. And you only get your refund IF you request it online, and becomes even more confusing because you can only refund to a bank account, not the original credit card you used, AND you had to know the bank ROUTING number and ACCOUNT number. 6. The computer at the main gate kept freezing and the wristbands couldnt be read until the computer came back online, which was frustrating and certainly made entry to the event more cumbersome than it should have been. Just one of these issues would have been acceptable, but to deal with all six issues sure gives Bunbury a black eye in my opinion.

Amazing weekend. Anxiously looking forward to next year!

I went to bunburry for the Saturday show and it was an amazing time! I showed up around 4:45 and had no problems getting into the show. If there was an issue on Friday, the staff really seemed to take note and fix the situation because we had no issues with lines. I loved how each stage had a totally different feel and back drop. The bridges and the river in the background to the left and to the far stage, you had the backdrop of the great American tower. It was awesome! It reminded me of lolapalooza in grant park in chicago with all of the trees and greenery in an urban environment. The lineup keeps getting better and better too! Keep up the great work!

We saw so many great shows! Got to hear some acts we had never seen before and loved seeing some of our favorites all together!

This was the first big music festival I ve ever attended and I m so glad I went. I only bought one day tickets because I really only went because Jack White was on the bill, but I ended up really enjoying some other acts, such as Dropkick Murphys. The weather was beautiful,as was the scenery, being right by the Ohio river. The crowds and vendors were friendly, and the choice of food and drinks were pretty good, too. The overall price was very fair for what you got to experience. I ll be checking the lineup out next year for sure!

Bunbury was a blast. I had gone to Coachella early this year and had an amazing time but Bunbury is great in its own regard. Getting to and from the venue was super easy. Also it wasn't mega crowded so we didn't really have to wait in line to get food, drinks, or go to the bathroom. Also nice that its right downtown so its easy to go to a bar or restaurant before or after the shows.

Park is beautiful, staff was excellent, bands rocked!

Really set up well and staff and patrons were friendly. Great atmosphere. Only problem..the bands played on top of each other and going from one end to the other took awhile. I guess that just says how much good music there was! VIP tickets were worth every penny!

Bunbury didn t disappoint. Music was unforgettable, food was great and venue was spectacular.

Went for the three-day VIP access and was able to get very close to the performers I was excited to see. Definitely worth it for that! However, the free food was somewhat of a joke. There were no vegetarian options that I could find, despite being promised them in the VIP info email. Also, once the food ran out, it was out, even if it was only a half an hour after the serving time started. Another qualm is the lack of VIP viewing for the riverfront stage. Still really happy with the show and would do it again.

Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness was amazing too!

We have been previous years and always a good time w/great bands. This year was a disappointment though with the crowds. We will opt for one day only next year if adjustments aren t made.

Misterwives was the best Bunbury show I ve ever seen, and the lineup was amazing

Enjoyed my time at Bunbury! I wish I would have gotten the 3day passes! It would be nice to have more water stations though!

It's understandable that they couldn't replace blink 182 with two days notice but as reimbursement they offered 30 bucks or so for ga off of next year's tickets if you bought them in June 2018 knowing that blink will be there next year but not knowing who else. Another band cancelled as well though I don't care for them which is a bad look. Another band I looked for was coheed and they were plagued with a few sound problems and a bad spot which led to their entire crowd being people who just wanted to see Post Malone and I feel bad for the band and for myself as a fan. I feel a bit cheated. It's not like I didn't have a drop of fun but after attending a few festivals have a bar that must be attained and this fest just fell short.

Zoo trippin was probably my favorite show of the whole weekend! Sounded fantastic and such an entertaining show! Then of course Third Eye Blind was amazing too. Honestly, might have enjoyed the lesser known bands more than the headliners. Set up for the even was great. Will definitely be going back next year!

Seriously, why would you book a band that backs out of prior engagements for new engagements? I seriously feel like I wasted a lot of money on 3 days passes when I only went one day for several hours because there wasn't much of anything but local bands or very small name bands there the majority of the day. Bunbury is much worse under promo west than it was with its old promoter. Can't say I will be making an immediate effort to purchase passes next year with Blink headlining after they canceled this year for their Vegas residency. Better planning people, better planning... BETTER BANDS ALL DAY not just 3 hours of the day. This is coming from someone that has been at Bunbury every year since inception. Also, no one at the info booths seemed to know anything, your volunteers at ADA locations were allowing able bodied people stand so that people in wheelchairs could not see any of the performances. Really disgraceful.

The concerts were all amazing & the food was fantastic (wish I had time to try it all)!! The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is because of how unbearably crowded it was :/ It s understandable for the shows themselves to be crowded, but even the walkways and park itself were packed. Overall, I would definitely still recommend going though!

Not at all what I was expecting. I go to a lot of music festivals and this one was by far my least favorite due to the set up and band schedules. First of all, way too many people for the space provided. You should be able to walk comfortably around and you couldnt do that unless you were near a stage a band wasn t playing. Second, this is the only festival I ve been to that played basically one band at a time. There were a few unknown bands that would play at the same time, but otherwise the bands just rotated one after the other on two main stages. Meaning every band you wanted to see, so did everyone at the festival. It was really annoying shuffling from one stage to the other with 10,000 other people. Also, for whatver reason they decided 2 liquor stations was going to be plenty for that many people. The lines were outrageous. I waited 45 minutes to get a drink. And since bringing in outside liquor is prohibited and we watched them throw people s liquor away that were trying to sneak it in, it made the lines unbearable. The only good things I can say is getting into the festival went smoothly and there is plenty of parking available for the festival. Also the bands were good, its no slight on the bands. Otherwise, the festival was a dud.

Every Persons set we went to was legendary I highly recommend going next year

This was an excellent venue by the river with plenty of vendors to choose from. The bands were outstanding and gave 150%! I felt like we could get so close to see them without the screens! But the screens definitely helped for shorter people and detailed shots. Would love to come again for the whole weekend next time!

Fun event! Would for sure go again! Can get a bit crowded from stage to stage due to small walkways.

I reallly like the venue: a lot of reasonable parking options, polite staff/security, a lot of shade, many food options, beer is cheaper than other fests. Music selection is not quite in my taste but quality overall.

Bunbury overall was amazing and super fun. However the last concert, post Malone, was a huge disappointment. He was drunk and you could barely hear him sing. Chainsmoker was the best concert I have ever experienced. Bunbury is a great way to start the summer:)

Bunbury was totally awesome! The selection of music genres performing was surprisingly diverse, the venue was great, and there were lots of cool vendors. I would definitely recommend going and will probably go again in the future myself!

Not enough shows. Everyone was just walking in a herd from stage to stage. Bunbury is not really a festival, it s just a day-long concert.

Venue was easy to navigate and changes were communicated well!

Lineup was top-notch. 1st minor problem was the online map was useless for newcomers. Took us a long time and a lot of asking to find river front stage. Maybe, like the Nissan, label the stage so you can see from the crowd where you are. Most importantly, the food lines were required to cross into walking traffic. Once you were at a venue it was great, but a nightmare to go from one to another.

This was the 3rd year in a row that we have attended Bunbury Festival and it never disappoints! They do a great job scheduling a variety of genres and the venue is great! It would be nice if there was a bit more time in-between sets to get from one side of the venue to the other...we definitely missed out on some bands because of that. I would also love to see the cashless wristbands and lockers come back...it made it so easy to not have to carry a bunch of stuff around for 10 hours!

Overall, I enjoyed Bunbury. It was a long three days and I would recommend to a friend, but I'm not sure that I would attend again. Pros: The beer selections were decent, the number of food trucks and variety of food was also good. The number of bathrooms was excellent and they were very well maintained throughout the three days. Cons: the venue seemed a little small for the number of people that attended. It was also a HUGE disappointment that we didn't get to see Blink 182 and also didn't receive any compensation for it (aside from a discount on NEXT year's ticket... which I will not be purchasing). Had I known Blink wouldn't be there, I may not have purchased tickets.

Great, spacious venue, amazing view of riverand city. Entering was easy and fast as was leaving. Had a great time and we highly recommend going!

Pluses: Great set lists this year. Hit on a lot of good bands that may not be as much "head liner" material. LANY, Misterwives, and ARIZONA are just a few that come to mind. Opportunities: Play more bands at one time to try and spread out the crowd. So often there would be just one band at one time, and one band immediately after. Mobs of crowds would transport from one stage to the next because there was only one performance to choose from at a given time. Implement credit card machines for food and drink.

Line up was amazing this year even with the Blink 182 hiccup. I m giving it 4 stars because of the lack of vendors and no lockers. Hoping they can fix it next year! I think last year wasn t as great of a line up but they had tons of vendors ( drinks and food) but I think bc of the crowd the vendors didn t make any money so they had less this year. There was a slightly older crowd this year and we all wanted to spend the $$$ but didn t have as much of a chance. Hopefully they can fix this for next year!!

This was our first time going to bunbury so we weren t sure what to expect but the perks of VIP seemed worth the extra money and it absolutely was. 50% of the stage was dedicated to VIP only, meaning you only had to get there half an hour early to be front row for most performers. They supplied us with buffets throughout the day, sunscreen and water, actual bathrooms (you don t realize the importance of this until it s pitch black and there s no lights in the portapotty) and own entrance so there was never a line to get in or out of the festival. Overall it was an amazing weekend, the food trucks were delicious and it wasn t too overly crowded. Definitely recommend!

Post Malone was honestly the best performer I have ever seen. Bunbury itself was definitely tiring, but he made it all worth it.

Had a BLAST! Danced, Sang, and Shouted all three days. The band selection was awesome.

I d ask for my money back if they d give it to me. The lack of originality is what is killing the music festival market. Won t bother going back. Sorely disappointed.

Beautiful venue along the Ohio River. Even with the rain delay on Friday, scheduling was great. It did feel more crowded this year, probably because of the great line up. My only complaint is I wish they had more liquor booths and fewer beer booths. Food lines were all pretty long too, but not sure they could fit anymore selections in.

The venue was alright. Blink 182 canceled. Peter and John Bjorn canceled. Coheed and Cambria walked off stage. River stage had overheating equipment and technical difficulties. because the crowed was standing there for Post Malone. The vendors were only women specific. Food 7/10 Bev 8/10 Talent 8/10

Friday and Saturday were great but Sunday left me disappointed. I love discovering new music! I will be back next year!
