I've been wanting to see them live since I first learned from Gotan Project while listening Buddha Bar IV in 2002 (CD 1, track 14). I own all their albums and their Live album was really good. Tango 3.0 brings some cool new sounds and some very memorable songs and there's no better way to listen to it than Live, I will remember this performance for years to come..

Amazing show and music. Hung around and met some of the members. Very friendly - signed autographs and posed for pictures. Standing-room-only was not the best way to see these guys, but we found some wheeled leg rests and used them for seats. Overall, Terminal 5 is great, with 3+ levels, plenty of screens to watch if not at the edge and the artists were amazing. Coming in with no expectations, I can objectively say I had a great time and would definitely return.

The place was perfect, though i didnt like the fact that they made us go all the way to the terrace just to come back down 4- 5 flights.... The band was incredible, their performance so aesthetic I couldnt have asked for more! The music, the sound and the visuals were perfectly performed and arranged. Im literally dying for more! when are they coming back? I have been their fan for years, but never saw them live before! they were as i said : beyond expectations!

I have heard some of their music before and was quite surprised how amazing they were live. I did not expect to be moved by the squeezebox but I was and the Wii controller that they used to make music was a riot. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in lounge/world nightclubby music.

The Argentine-French tango-influenced musical group was a band that exceeded my (limited) expectations as I had not been fully exposed to their music nor this genre prior to the show. Intriguing was the hip hop influenced piece... bien fait.

Really bad, uncool, and the members of the band lack enthusiasm. The crowd could never take off....bad...as an Argentine I recommend to everybody to simply forget about Gotan and start paying attention to Bajofondo. Muchbetter...

There were some highlights, but overall I would recommend this for a 1.5h ride in an elevator. And what is this that people go to a concert to LOUDLY discuss anything but the music?

We loved Gotan Project, when they finally came on. The problem was that while the concert started at 8:30pm, Gotan Project did not appear until 11pm. There were two other performers and wide gaps between the performers. The security personnel was unhelpful and rude. If you have a disability, don't expect the staff to be all that accommodating. They treat you as if you're a nuisance.

I had an amazing time at this concert. Gotan Project has proven themselves to be better LIVE, which is something I have never said about any concert I've been to...especially since there is an electronic undertone to this music... Simply breathtaking, every single song and melody is playing in my head right now...

Having seen over one hundred live stage shows in my life, I would rate this the best ever. It was satisfying, exhilarating, joyful, mesmerizing and beautiful to view. It excited all my senses. If lifted my vibration to new levels. The combination of sound, light, holographic images and music was ecstatic. I am already looking at their schedule to figure out a way to seem again soon.

They played all their signature songs and the stage was set nicely. Very classy act and thoroughly enjoyed the show. My only gripe was that the opening act didn't start until 8:30, and they lasted a good 45 minutes, then 15+ minutes in between for set-up, so Gotan did not perform until 9:45, which was a very late start for a Sunday evening.

Love the Gotan Project, but they need to mention that there's an opening band, and that even the opening band will start 1 hour late. Gotan themselves started after 10pm (even though the show tickets were for 8pm). That's just not cool on a Sunday night when people might not have 2 hours to stand around.

If Gotan hadn't been totally and completely awesome, this review would be 2 stars for sure... the 2 "bands" before gotan were seriously questionable. I asked the usher next to our seats when the show would start as it was 8:45 and the show had a start time of 8pm. He said, "Oh, it already started... That random DJ over there is the first act." It wasn't that the DJ was bad, but there was no focus on him and the music was too low so no one even knew the concert had started! Act 2 was an interesting band but I didn't like them enough to buy any of their music and the stage they set up was incredibly cluttered so it looked like watching a new band in a dive bar... but then GOTAN, I would argue they actually sound better in person, their stage set up was crisp and clean, and the light and visual show that accompanied it was the icing on the cake. I would see them again in a heartbeat. However, everyone else loved them too and somewhere in the middle of the show, the ushers keeping the aisles clear for our seriously fab seats (DD 104/105) disappeared and all these random people started dancing literally right in front of us so we couldn't see. Luckily all moved when asked, but it's pretty annoying to ask someone to move about every 2 minutes for the last 45 minutes of the show... and very distracting to the awesome band we're trying to enjoy. Warfield, WHERE DID YOUR USHERS GO?!

Paid extra to close seats in the balcony only to have to move way up to the top to see the band. Huge speaker stack hanging from the ceiling blocked 90% of the stage. They shouldn't sell the seats on the side. Gotan was great, but the Warfield sucks. Will never go to a show there again.

Total bummer, I had uber high expectations for this concert & they left me disappointed with aching feet. The opening band was catastrophic and waiting for Gotan Project to finally come out and perform was shocking (2 hours & 51 minutes to be exact). I have never waited so long to see an artist perform. However, they did play my favorite song so I wasn't too completely bummed out, but I doubt I will be seeing them again any time soon.

Club Nokia is a great place for these kind of events... now when it comes to the bands... the first one did not play (visa problems they said), the second one (General Electric) was great, very energetic musicians. I went there primarily for Gotan Project, I have listened to their music before and I liked the way they fuse electronic with tango, but I had the strong feeling (same for my friends that were there with me) that these guys did playback most of the time. I did not like at all this to be honest. Next time I better listen to a CD, as the show General Electric gave was 100% better than the one that Gotan Project had.

General Elektriks got the place hopping with a tight set of tunes from their latest effort, "Good City for Dreamers" Gotan Project then took the stage and mezmerized the packed house with their flair for sexy tango dunked in electronica, with a twist of hip-hop. With their cosmopolitan vibe, strong melodies, and great musicianship - the dance floor was pulsating from the opening note of the show! Fantastic.

I was longing for the day to finally see Gotan Project live. Now I can totally say that I am GROUPIE!!!!!!! too bad couldn't meet them in person to hug and tell them how amazing their band is. Such a majestic music, the combination of electronic with the sexy tango vibes it's the best that the 21st century in music could ask for. If you appreciate Tango, and you have some kind of likelihood on electronic music, Gotan Project would be your best bet!

The visual presentation was really effective and the variety of flavors added to the tango were contagiously received. Very classy with a modern edge, the show included many forms of visual imagry including video, lighting, costume, lighting with graphics and some techno visual thing I am still wondering what it was... speaking with the performers at breakfast the following morning only reinforced my already positive response.

I went with three friends and all of us liked Gotan Project, and General Elektrics, the band that performed previously. I give Gotan Project 4 stars, because my very favorite in this genre is "Bajofondo" with Gustavo Santaolalla, a *****+ band. Also, I think Gotan Project could get a higher qualified singer. I don't mean that the current singer is bad, but she isn't convincing.

Absolutely wonderful music. Incredible rich arrangements and a spectacular vocalist. I would go again anytime they are here. The concert was simply amazing... the venue, the people, the band, the sound (maybe the best live sound that I have heard in my life), the lighting... I could go on and on about this marvelous concert... Seeing Gotan live is an experience that can't be put down on paper (or screen) easily. The sensations that get transferred from the stage to the audience are simply to extensive and complex to be able to write a fair description. The show gives that dark, moody, powerful feeling that tango has in itself, but manages to control it and ends being able to jump across a full spectrum of emotions, from sadness to melancholy to happiness to euphoria to anything and everything that you are willing to let yourself feel from the music and the show. I would highly recommend for anyone that has the chance of going to one of their shows to do so. Even if it requires traveling to another city or selling your unborn child... seriously.

Great concert. I was originally a bit concerned about listening to the music in a concert setting as you can't really Tango in a pit or in a seat, but it worked out great. Gotan Project put on a lively, energetic performance that was accent by an interesting multi media component. Provocative videos were projected behind the band as they played, giving the show an additional visual element. This was a useful device, as they really did not engage the audience directly all that much. It almost felt at times that there was a kind of invisible wall between us and them. And while at times they tried to break that plane, they stilll felt a little detached from the audience. There was more connection in between songs when they spoke to the crowd, and that made them feel more a bit more present. But their musicianship and attire was very classy and appealing. All were dressed very formally, in suits and evening gowns. The attire added to the sophisticated cosomopolitan feel of the music. What was also impressive was the rhythm programming and how the computerized beats meshed with the live instrumentation. They produced complex, layered beats without having any sort of actual percussionist on stage. It was all done with sequencing yet it felt very natural and organic. Gotan Project makes fun music to listen to, dance to, imagine to. I hope to see them again someday in either Europe or South America.

This show is a mix of live instrument playing and vocals. Most surprising is that a much of music and beats were from recordings as well as some vocals. I did not expect to pay $40, have mostly standing space to watch a recording. The sound was less than average in that venue as well. This was supposed to be a show not just a music band playing half-live.
