really liked the contrast in musical selections between the two. suggest preacher skit be edited and cut a bit. could be offensive to some and was a bit amateurish. i'm not a clay mate . both have wonderful voices and a comradery that seemed sincere. i enjoyed the show very much . surprised theater not full and think a bit more promotion is needed. musicians top notch and so was female singer, especially since on short notice she had to fill in for other singer who was ill and not performing that night. since this was only the second night of the tour, i'm sure it will keep getting better and better.

What an entertaining, fun show! Great music, sung by great singers--including Casey Thompson!--with comedy and some nostalgia thrown in. I was up on my feet with the rest of the audience during portions, and just listening with a contented smile on my face--and in my heart--for the rest of it. These 2 guys are SO much better than most of the "singers" today, it was a pleasure and an honor to have them sing to me!

The show was absolutely fabulous and very entertaining! They did not just come out and sing songs - they danced, had a lot of comedy and they sang well over 50 or 60 songs! A very fast paced, but wonderful show. The back-up singer, Casey was also fabulous. I would definitely recommend the show to everyone and would definitely go back again! Clay's voice it truly amazing!

We drove 2 hours to Jacksonville and stayed at the Hyatt a block from the theater. It was totally worth it. 2 hours non stop of amazing music and performance. The two play off of each other so well and the girl singer was phenominal.

Not at all what I expected -- Loved it!! Their interaction was so natural -- Clay the animated one and Rueben right behind -- I especially enjoyed the 60' 70's music and loved the dancing and vocals. I thought it would be about their own music but their voices made ALL the music sound wonderful! I would recommend the Sound Tech lower the BAND and let us hear more of their voices. I was on the second row and it was apparent that Clay and the band kept asking the sound person just off the stage to bring up the voices -- it would last one or two songs and then back to the same sound. In spite of the glitch -- I would highly recommend this concert to ALL people who want to have fun, laugh, hear great music and have a wonderful couple of hours!!

The show was much better than I expected. They both sang popular songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. They played off each other well, and had lots of fun with each other. Had a fantastic backup little blonde singer with the show that could really belt out the tunes also. Just had a great time.

The concert was high energy and very enjoyable. I loved all the song selections and enjoyed both Rueben and Clay. The only complaint that I had was that the music was way too loud and at times would drown out the beautiful voices of both performers. I would have like to have heard more vocals and less band.

The event was Amazing!. My big problem was that for $30.00 seats x 2, We had a view of two camera men during the entire show. Our seating was ORB F, seat#'s 7&8. When I attend the events I love to watch the complete choir as well as other guest performing. I was disappointed.

What a great night of music and history. There is no better entertainment for the money you spend. The pre-show recordings and reflections of MLK were inspiring however too loud to the point of being annoying. I felt that the time allotted to that portion of the program was excessive probably due to it being over-amplified and the noisy analog nature of those recordings. A very fitting tribute however to a great man and an important part of American History.

I would recommend this event to everyone. It's a great event for the entire family especially when kids can see the young dancers in the show and it can inspire one to dream and take an interest in the arts, and there is always a historical value where you learn something about Dr. King that you may not have known.

My husband and I were blown away by Ruben's talent back when we first saw him on season two of American Idol, well before he won the show. He is so special, exudes warmth and joy, and has the smoothest, most effortless voice that is mind-blowing at the same time, as he makes it look so much easier than I am sure it is to sing like he does. We have been to many concerts, and this is hands down, one of the best and most impressive. When someone just needs to sing, and doesn't need all kinds of distractions going on stage, to mask or make up for any downfalls, that is true talent. Ruben sounded amazing, and his band and backup singers rose to meet him. It was a great show, and one we would highly recommend it to anyone considering going. I don't think most singers would be able to tackle Luther's music, but Ruben slays it! Gladys Knight was right on the money when she coined him "The Velvet Teddy Bear." He certainly is, and his voice is one of the best in the business!

I fell in love with Ruben's voice the first time I saw him on American Idol. I found that love again at this show. His voice is smooth and his presence is relaxing. Ruben singing Luther's songs is a match made in heaven. I found myself wiping away tears a couple of times throughout the night.

This show was amazing! Ruben had my attention from beginning to end. His band was great, the background singers were great and the location was great! The location was just small enough to be a nice intimate show. Ruben sounded so much like Luther Vandross. My only complaint was I would have liked to hear Ruben sing at least 1 of his own songs.

I m a little mad about this concert. The comedian was a little vulgar, funny, but borderline for me. I had to purchase a $70 ticket for my 2 year old. Rueben only sang for an hour. I never would have paid $209 for 3 tickets of I d known tee concert was not really from 6-9 as stated on the website. Just a bummed Studdard fan. I don t feel like I got my monies worth for fewer than 10 songs.

What a lovely evening. The Chandler Center for the Arts was a great venue for this show and as it was my first visit to this theatre, I found it easy to navigate, positive feel of the surroundings and acoustic qualities were also positive. The comedian, Terry Hodges was a plus to the night and I was glad to be entertained by him prior to the music. Thanks for that. Ruben is a performer and I appreciated his responses to the audience and the moments that he allowed us to sing along with him. What a great show. I could have heard more, yet that is only because I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and not because he cut it too short. Save that voice as I hope to be hearing more and more over the years ahead. So glad I was there.

We purchased tickets long ago and had other opportunities for this night, but we decided to attend Ruben's concert WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! the concert was amazing. Ruben was funny, charming and that voice... WOW! Would highly recommend seeing him. Several of the songs actually brought tears to our eyes.

Ruben came on stage a little over one hour after the scheduled start time. A very funny comedian warmed up the audience with fun, playful humor. He was mostly PG, but had a few R rated jokes. We especially enjoyed his interaction with the crowd, mimicking guests who walked in front of the stage and were late arriving. Ruben sounded great and his band and 3 backup vocalists were pretty tight. Ruben took time to share some stories about his walk with the Lord and his Mother s obsession with Luther. Ruben moved side to side frequently and had big stage presence. We would definitely recommend the concert and will go see him again!

Ruben was better than I ever could have imagined. We were on the side of the stage and he worked it, always walking over. There was a older woman next to us, her daughter brought her and just to see her clapping and dancing was a joy! Love Ruben's face, it is so feel good, he is so feel good. I watched American Idol from the very first season and remember Ruben winning on Season 2. To be perfectly honest, I was actually upset cause I loved Clay Aiken's voice but I must say that Ruben's voice was mesmerizing at this concert making me forget all about Clay! Have always felt this man sings so richly but so effortlessly at the same time. I loved his falsettos, his mannerisms, and his warm, funny and engaging personality. He's also a great dancer! The whole show including the back up singers and band were awesome. And of course I love Luther's songs but would have loved to hear just one other, maybe along the lines of Hallelujah! This concert was so enjoyable. I no longer drink or drug, and I thank Ruben for giving me such a natural high!!!

Ruben put on an excellent show, he keep the crowd entertained and happy for the entire performance. I sang to every song and danced to my feet hurt. The Clay Aiken/Ruben Studdard concert was full of entertainment and quality singing. Watching the two of them together was great... they feed off of one another and the entire 2 hour show was full of non-stop entertainment. The venue (Snoqualmie Casino) was beautiful... the weather was perfect.... and the show was absolutely amazing. If I could, I would travel to see the show again, it was that good.

Originally, I only wanted to go see the show because of Clay. I've never really been a fan of Ruben's. While Ruben is a great singer, I'm not that much into his music. I assumed one would go first and then the next. SURPRISE...they played off each other throughout the event, so it was a great way of presenting their show. Not only was the music by BOTH fantastic, but there was lots of teasing each other, jokes, and the dynamics between the two of them became a huge part of the show. Great show, great entertainment, great singers! Fun time! While I grew to like Ruben more, Clay is still my favorite!

SO MUCH FUN!!!! These guys have remained friends since AI in 2003! They both are so different in personalities and voices - which they used to their advantage and "playe off each other" . Central Park Summer stage - Gospel stage from 3pm. It's free concert series that we can enjoy trend artists with free of charge. This day, in the foggy rain, bunch of people joined together to enjoy the stage. This time I found many black people in the crowd. I am always interested in audience because it seems that the type of audience is depending on the type of artist. The stage started at 3pm on time with an organizer's greeting. At 3:12 pm, Ruben showed up on the stage. He was in a black suit and white shirt. His performance was stately and calm. He sang many famous songs such as 'So Amazing'' Having a party'. They are my favorite songs. He has his OWN vocal, which means his voice is his original and characterized. I really enjoyed familiar songs with different arrangement. I do like men's mature voices. The show finish at 3:25pm.

I attended this show at the Hard Rock Live, in Orlando Florida, Ruben Studdard, was fantastic in concert, I was bowled over by the venue, but above all Rubens amazing voice, singing a tribute to Luther Vandross, just out of this world, would go to another Ruben concert tomorrow, would not hesitate. I took my 78 year old Mom to the Always and Forever Concert for one of her Mothers's Day Gifts. She had a ball. She is still raving about it. I enjoyed it as well. Ruben Studder is brilliant and classy.
