I was very disappointed in this show and had a much higher expectation of this event. Firstly, the seating was totally unrealistic as they seated seven adults in a pew that was designed for five or possibly six but absolutely not seven adults. I was unable to sit back in the pew and this resulted in me having to move to a vacant seat that had an obstructed view. This is unacceptable and unfair and as a result I could not sit with my family nor could I see the stage. Secondly, Amy Grant started the show without Vince Gill who was nowhere to be seen. She sang a number of songs and remarked the following, "Has anyone seen Vince?" Eventually, Vince Gill did arrive (without explanation) and he looked as if he had rolled out of bed. Instead of the suit that he is seen wearing in the promotion of the Christmas show, he was dressed in a flannel shirt and jeans. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against this causal attire but this is a Christmas Show and I did expect a better appearance. The man is a true talent, great voice, superb musician and just a natural talent. I love the guy but he looks burnt out and I actually felt sorry for him and I'm not even sure why. Amy Grant is well, ordinary and that is all I can say about her. On the plus side, the staff are super nice and friendly, the parking attendants are great also. I don't mean to be harsh but I would not attend another one of their shows, and I would not recommend this show to others. Also, The Ryman did nothing special in the way of Christmas decorations on the stage. All they had as a backdrop were red and green spotlights. Wish I could get a refund! Go elsewhere for entertainment....these two look like they just go through the motions! Very disappointing!
