I enjoyed Questlove's set but it wasnt a Questlove Event. It was a charity event and Questlove was the entertainment for the dancefloor segment of the event, i.e. the last portion of the event. NOT A SHOW.

Questlove went on at midnight and was still going when we left at 3:30am! He didn't speak the whole time just kept mixing song after song while bobbing his head. Danced our asses off right up front. Great time.

I am a video major and I was able to see the entire performance that took place, rescheduled the weekend when The Roots performed with Public Enemy at the African American Museum opening in Washington DC. Thanks to ?uestlove everyone had a great experience dancing and we stayed for the entirety. It's located in DC close to the 9:30 Club. I promote shows with IMP and 9:30 Club especially so see lots of concerts in the area. This is a wonderful location to see great live music. The Roots regularly come to the area and I've seen them 9 times. Their musicians are extremely talented and sing and play multiple instruments. I put my reel and videos together for ?uestlove as a thank you. Being a concert promoter of nightclubs at concert venues where I have seen him perform means the world to me and they are one of my top 3 favorites live acts. I adore his music and would love for him to read my letter I included in my gift that I got to him at the end in Howard Theater where he slayed and the staff there is truly special. It was a fun night, we might do Jazz there very soon. Thank you!

DJ ?uestlove spun an awesome party at Howard Theater. Music across generations and genres. The dance floor was packed with dancers enjoying music from the 70s, 80s, 90s through today. Artists from David Bowie to Jay-Z and everything in between had everyone getting their boogie on!

Was definitely rockin' with the best! Questo spun for like 3 1/2 hours & played EVERYTHING! He absolutely has the ear of a musical genius...from Nirvana to N.O.R.E to Luda to Dilla to Hov to Busta & on & on...Had a great time & would go again!

I came to this event not really knowing what to expect. The descriptions of the event were also pretty vague and didn't seem sure of what ?uestlove might do. I was really hoping for a guest appearance (which may have happened but I left early) or to see him on the drums. The music was great, the venue was great.

?uestlove had awesome music. Too bad I couldn't hear it over the idiotic ramblings of the "hype man." I was really disappointed by this show - the guy was seriously just "singing" (I use that term very loosely) over the music. He didn't even know all of the words! I left early, it was that bad.

Although i was only there until 1230ish ?uestlove and Jazzy Jeff were whippin up some serious beatsauce for all the down to earthlings that made it out that night. Some really awesome classics roundhousin it through those speakers, I will say it was a little mercurial at times but that's my only qualm really, good crowd good vibes it's nights like these that im reminded why Philadelphia is the city of brotherly love. Hats off Gentleman.

this was the event to bust a move...seriously, jazzy jeff spun a nice mix of new and old school, quest with an amazing dilla tribute, and j rocc killed it as usual. i left drenched in sweat when drama came on, not my taste.

I went in expecting him to throw together some mixes of old school tracks I wouldn't expect and he did not disappoint. Id definitely recommend his show to anybody who is into old school R&B and funk. Only negative i can say is that I wish he kept "Doin the butt" on longer...the ladies went crazy when it came on then he got off it :(

Unfortunately ?uestlove is hit or miss. This is the third time that I've gone to one of his parties. Sadly, it will be my last.

It was an experience! Quest paid an incomparable homage to Prince. The crowd & vibe was laid back and liberating. Even the management was personable. I hope he has more events similar to this and on a consistent basis.

Advertised as a HOF Induction ceremony after party, thus one expected to hear HOF inductees music. Instead, it was a load of partial songs, record spinning, none of whom were HOF Inductees. Overrated. Not worth the money.

Can't believe I paid to go to this. Had nothing to do with Rock n Roll. The music was horrible and not the same crowd as at the induction ceremony. Why this was labeled as the after-party is beyond me. Stayed fifteen minutes and left.

Once I saw the tweet earlier that read "Spinnin Hov all night" I knew it was on. Q did an amazing job mixing various Jay Z songs from all different eras, feature records I forgot about and intertwining other sounds and drum patterns in the mix. I have to go see him again.

All he did was play Tribe. No mixing, blending anything else from the era. That time period produced some great hip hop, but he didn't spin it.

Quest is a great DJ.....however, he also chose the night of his show at the Howard in DC to honor Tribe....who is not my favorite group.Fulfilling for him; not so much for me. Would love to have heard him explore his musical mind, rather than to just cover one group.

I can not wait to see Questlove again. He is a true musical master! Seamless transitions throughout the decades of music which he sampled. The Sinclair is a perfect venue to see a show like this. I would highly recommend checking him out wherever he is.

The even started right on time....and I'm not too sure when it ended as we had to run out the door at 3:30AM before another awesome song came on. Questlove was awesome -- and I'm so happy that I saw him, again.

Aside from a few drugged up people at the show, Questlove totally rocked his set - had everybody grooving throughout. The Sinclair is intimate and a few times really felt like he was performing a private show for us.

My review is only fair, because perhaps I did not know what to expect concerning. What a strictly musical standpoint, I love the Roots and am a big fan of ?uestlove. So the music was good, somewhat loud, but enjoyable from what he mixed. The execution would be what I call 2 Gots! It was supposed to start at 11:00 p.m. I get there at about 10:30 and we're told we need to form the line outside Howard Theatre. That night was cold, even for a polar bear like me. I mean cold, colder than a witch's.....cold smile. So I'm standing in line outside, for over an hour. By the time they do let us in, homeboy ?uest did not get on stage until about 12:20 a.m. That was enough to sour any hype I had about the event. Howard Theatre, get yo stuff right!

Let's see the show was enjoyable but the venue was less to be desired. It was VERY hot and it appeared as if they overbooked because there were too many people and not enough air circulating in the place. In addition the show was set to start at 11p.m. well at 11 the line was wrapped around the corner which I didn't think was good.

This show was an amazing collabo between D'angelo and ?uestlove meant to give the audience a look into what a studio jam session looks like. D'angelo was the star of the show performing some of his old joints from his albums while ?uestlove killed it on the drums. At the encore The rest of The Roots (minus Black Thought) came out and performed. This show was fire! D'angelo still sounds amazing was a little shy in the beginning but engaging as the show progressed. A great show!!!!

After the 2.5 hour wait, an hour of which was outside, praying it didn't pour down rain, I can't even find the words to describe the awesomeness of this show!! The set consisted of some D'Angelo classics, like "Brown Sugar", "The Root", his sexy cover of Prince's "She's Always In My Hair" but with a funky twist...just D on keyboards and Questlove backing him up on the drums. At the end, the crowd was chanting for an encore and we got just that. The RootsCrew came onstage and rocked one last tune. I can't wait for the next album...D'Angelo performed a track that's sposed to be on the new album. This was better than a full blown concert!
