Another great Fear Factory show at the Gramercy Theater. This time around the boys started the show playing Demanufacture from start to end and never missed a note or lyric. The songs just kept coming with tracks from Obsolete to their newest release Genexus. Dino and Burton provided retrospective on the songs and the bands beginnings to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of Demanufacture. Let s hope for another 20 years of FF though I don t know if my body can hold up to that much mayhem.

The show was completely mind blowing! The room was well lit and just the right size. Amazing night, and the bands all brought their A game! A night to remember!

This show was amazing! Fear factory played a huge setlist with a variety of music, even with the band member changes, it was still awesome.. They totally engaged the audience..

Fear Factory and all other bands they brought with them rocked the place at the House of Blues. Not a single hardcore dancer in sight since it was a totally metal show. Dirge Within was great, Periphery was good as was Winds of Plague. Fear Factory brought out almost all of their great stuff even going all the way back to one of their first album's songs. they ended with a string of Demanufacture tracks as a semi-encore to a long set that was killer.

Saw Fear Factory in Hollywood about 8 years ago or so and they were more techno or used more synthesizers. I'm glad the old guitarist came back to the band. The drummer was awesome as usual but the mike wasn't working right at the beginning of the set so the vocals were not coming through. Later in the set , the vocals were better. I was distracted by the mosh pit since it seemed like it was staged until later that night. The space was too big for a mosh pit so it caused us to be pushed to the back towards the audio engineer and audio equipment.

Nice minimal stage presence, no amps and sound effect crates strewn all over stage, very clean appearance to focus on the musicianship. Drummer Gene Hoglan sounded awesome playing new and old stuff as expected. Nice balance of blending in killer new material with killer old material.

It's been over 2 years since Fear Factory last moshed it up with the burque's. In typical Fear Factory fashion, they brought their mix techno-metal and put on a decent show. The Sunshine Theater is not known for its acoustics, which generally makes for a loud bass driven performance. However, they did a great job of leveling out the volume, allowing for a pretty good sound. The performance was a little low keyed, but still had the crowd going. Burton's voice sounded the best I have heard in resent years. I wonder if the other members for Fear Factory (the ones who are currently not turning with Fear Factory) can reconcile and be back in the line up soon.

Gene Hoglan, who has been the drummer for Dethklok, Dark Angel, and Death, is now drummer for the great Fear Factory. The show was simply great! I'm gonna see them again asap.

Have seen Fear Factory many times, they never disappoint. They're the best in small venues, saw them at Tramps (not sure if that's around anymore and The Opera House in Toronto). 1200 at Irving Plaza is a good size. I was a little concerned because of the lineup changes and I'm a drummer so I like to watch and hear Raymond Herrera, but Gene Hoglan was great. Typical tight, kick ass Fear Factory. No gimmicks-just play what we want to hear. The only thing I missed was Decent, but I guess you can't play everything!

Fear Factory is one of the few bands out there that have retained their integrity over the years. People need this band to play as often as possible so we can get together and help each other keep the faith. Bands of this caliber are rare these days and I will try to get as many people as I can to see the show with me. Fear Factory truly respects their fans and that is something I really appreciate.

Fear Factory was great...sounded heavy and tight. Gene Hoglan is one of the best drummers around and really brought the band a great sound. New album is great and sounded better live! If they come back to NY...im there

Fear Factory was amazing!! They sounded great live, not many live bands sound as good live as they do on their albums, but Fear Factory is definitely great live. I have seen them a few times now, and each time they blow me away. The energy the band has really gets the crowd involved, so the energy in the whole room is wild. I didn't see the opening bands so I can't comment on them. But I would definitely recommend Fear Factory to anyone who is into hard rock/metal. I can't wait to see them again.

I had seen Fear Factory once before (about 10-12 years ago), and was not impressed with either their sound nor Burton's vocal abilities. Please don't get me wrong. I love the band, and am very much impressed with Mechanize as a whole; but back then, they just couldn't make that same magic live that I felt for the record. Unfortunately, this is still true today. The musicianship of this show was better than the last time I saw (part of my reasoning to see FF again was simply to see Gene Hoglan who is always amazing); but Burton still can't properly merge his moments of actually singing with his growls (one of the main reasons I love FF's records). It's not that I think Burton is tone deaf; but I believe it is just too difficult to be able to gauge those melodic moments with the massive wall of sound surrounding them. On a side note, the opening bands did nothing for me (I missed the first two, but saw the latter two before FF came on); but I was very disappointed that the concert started at 7:30pm yet FF didn't come on until 11:20pm. At 12:05am and after Burton started a rant about BP (I'm angry at them too), I figured it was time to go. I know many artists embrace the stage as a pulpit for their views; but I paid my money to see a music performance not a spoken word show or political rally. Ultimately, I just don't think I can bring myself to try a 3rd time to see them live. I will however remain a devouted fan of their tracks.

Fear Factory was amazing, I think it was the only show I've sen where every song was sang by the crowd, except maybe Metallica.Prong was great, Tommy was in great form. I think this incarnation of Prong is probably the best ever! As for the other 3 bands on the bill, I really didn't care for them. I don't believe it was their fault but the Trocedero Theater in Philly has the worst sound system I have ever heard.

Local band sucked. Thy Will Be Done sucked, the singer wouldn't stop babbling. He accused the audience of being lazy and self serving. Good way to win a crowd. Silent Civilian was ok but Mr Santos needs to learn when you scream louder, you don't get closer to the mic. Prong was awesome. Fear Factory saved the entire night be destroying everyone.

Fear Factory was incredible, I was worried that the new lineup wouldn't feel like FF, but its the best incarnation of the band EVER!!!! The show was great, Jaxx is a really personable venue, very cozy to see a band so devastating and LEGENDARY! Also, PRONG is a band you need to see live...YOU NEED TO SEE LIVE :) Seen these guys a few times now, and every time they rule.

Fear Factory is just spectacular and just the rawest band! Amazing band and love everything about them! Jaxx Nightclub though, the speaker quality could be a lot better! This would have pumped up the sound a lot better! But Great Show nevertheless! Thank you Fear Factory! I even met the whole band after the show and got their autograph! FF! But Prong, the band prior to Fear Factory, really wrecked my ear by how loud they were on the microphone. You need to plug your ears to not bust your ears, seriously!

Fear Factory is back after almost 5 years of absence. Dino is back on guitar, and it is great to see him with the band again. Great set list, with no songs from Archetype or Transgression played. I guess Dino didn't want to play any songs that he didn't write. Burton's voice was going out for some of the show, but considering his vocal style I guess that is to be expected. Gene isn't as good a drummer as Raymond, but he still does a great job. Byron's bass playing is good, but you don't really hear much of him. Great show, and I will be going to Chicago to see them again this July.

Fear Factory did a phenomenal job Friday night with tons of energy and enthusiasm. The only complaint we had was that you could hardly hear the rest of the band over the drums. I think this was the fault of the venue, because every band had the same problem. Other than that, we had a blast, and I can't wait to see Fear Factory again! We will also be purchasing CDs from Dirge Within and Winds of Plague.

The only thing that really brought me to House of Blues last night, March 26 2010, was Periphery. They are a band I have had gotten to watch develop long before they took their recent contract with Sumerian. These guys are really persuing a sound in metal that hasn't been truly tapped yet. Most people hear these guys play, and don't quite know how to react to their music. This band has devilish screams and angelic soaring like singing, with super technical polyrhyms, complex chord and melody progressions which I think leaves a lot of people scratching their heads, "Going wait, you can't sing and be that technical of a metal band. Can you?" Well ladies and gents, you can. Periphery is the band for you if you are all about serious dynamics in your music. If you like non-stop blast beats and cookie monster screaming, not so much. If you want pop-radio friendly metal, not so much. However, if you love it when a band goes form crazy heavy, to melodic and ephereal and atmospheric in the same song, these dudes may be just what you have been looking for. Most of the other bands were ok, but far from impressed me. Missed the opening band from Austin, but didn't hear anything positive about them. About destroyed my neck headbanging during Periphery. Dirge Within was ok, but sounded like bands I've already heard before. Winds of Plague was pretty good, but I might have been slightly biased because they had a super hot keyboard player, but the keys also added a uniqueness to their style. Fear Factory's instrumentals sounded pretty solid, but the singer was kind of pitchy. His screams were on point, but his voice sounded blown which is why I think he didn't sound on point during sections of the songs in which he sang. Hands down, I really think Periphery was by far the most talented band on stage that night. Had the chance to talk to most of them, and they were all super cool and down to earth.

Fear Factory was simply amazing, this was the first time I had seen this live but have been a longtime fan of them for years! The crowd wasn't the biggest but the energy and talent put into the songs was well heard all night. We also got to meet the members and shake their hands as well as getting autographs from each one on the new "Mechanize" CD I bought. LoL just kidding...that was TicketMaster's suggested review title example. Anyway this was an awesome concert. Fear Factory is better than ever with Dino back on guitar and the addition of Gene Hoglan on drums. The Culture Room venue in Ft. Lauderdale is extremely small, so it made for a more intimate concert experience...They also have great sound acoustics as well. Most of their set comprised of songs from Obsolete and Mechanize...usually one old song and then one new song. They played 1 song from Soul of a New Machine (Martyr) and I believe 2 songs from Digimortal. They finished off their set playing 4 or 5 songs in a row from their Demanufacture album. Overall a great show, I'd definitely recommend seeing these guys in concert. I've seen them a ton of times and they never disappoint.

Assumed it was just going to be Soilwork and Fear Factory at the show but then the Masquerade decided to throw in 4 other bands into the mix - Double Barreled Democracy, Legion X, Martyrd, and Spades and Blades. Legion X and Martyrd were the best out of those 4 bands with the edge going to Legion X. Good music and a lot of energy, enjoyed seeing them perform. Double Barreled was the opening act and I did not care for them. Spades and Blades were the last of those 4 and they did alright. Soilwork was awesome again, as they were when I saw them with Darkest Hour, Threat Signal, and Mnemic several years ago. They performed 11 songs and rocked the house! Speed was somewhat ill at the time so his vocals were off a litttle...a minor complaint, though. Fear Factory performed above and beyond my expectations! I heard that they were not so great live but I was proven wrong. Burton Bell was amazing during their nearly 2 hour set, Campos has finally found a new home with Fear Factory after his stints with Static-X and Soulfly, and Dino was great and kept the crowd energized. Amazing show from them and would definitely see them again! Only complaint was that the entire show was 6 hours - way too long for any show, in my opinion. They should have cut a couple of bands from the show and kept it at 4 hours - that would have been a lot better. If Soilwork or Fear Factory is ever in town, though, check them out! You will not be disappointed.

The last few times I had seen Fear Factory, their show was lacking in many areas. Previous show let-downs made me ask if I would ever spend money to see them again. Well, Fear Factory totally redeemed themselves by playing to their core fans with focus on Demanufacture. Energy was back, sound was tight, and the fans were on-point with lyrics and energy as well. It had been a few years since BCB sounded this good with his vocals. I know that on previous visits, the band was sick, but we got out money's worth. I saw FF tour in 1993 when they opened for Fudge Tunnel and Sepultura (the Nailbomb tour) and that originally sparked my love for this band and the latest show rebridged the gap that was missing all these years.

The concert was better than I expected. I enjoyed Once Human & Before the Mourning but I liked The Bloodline the most. Fear Factory was awesome. This is my first Fear Factory concert and I'm glad I went. Fear Factory sounds just as good live as they do in their studio albums. The place was small which made it easier to talk to the artists and see them around. 4 groups present in Culture Room, quite small place... so very close to the groups. Silenmara, Kobra and the Lotus, Hate Eternal and Fear Factory... Nice shows with different metal styles. Very good Fear Factory as usual, except for the clear voice of singer Burton C. Bell, which seems now difficult for him to stand. Excellent interaction of all members with the public (around 100-150 persons).

It was a warm and sticky night in ft lauderdale luckily the air was cranked. As the usually rabble of metal heads accented. The 3 support spans the metal gengre from grind to Scandinavian Inspired affair. The sound in this venue was a little below par but loud enough. Fear factory cranked out a few old and not so old numbers and didn't need Much encouragement to get the circle going in this tight little space. It nice to hear the drums with there natural sound and not amped to death. It reminded me of why I like metal. Raw and basic attitude arey. It was the best venue $8 beers or one of my top ten bands but still a great experience and Mix of old timey and young squirts to keep these guys around a little longer.

Had a blast watching them destroy Starland Ballroom starting off with the song " The Industrialist". It was a Powerful set list and they were really energetic. Surprisingly, this was my first show at the State Theatre and I was definitely impressed. It's not very big and is set up much like a club - they also have decent drinks at good prices! Anyhow, the bands were overall awesome. I was looking forward to seeing The Browning for the first time, and I must say, they delivered! I never heard of them until I bought my ticket for the show, so I checked out their tunes and was anticipating getting to see them - very kick ass! I've seen Shadows Fall once in 2009 so I was looking forward to their badassery, and they also delivered. I wasn't a big fan of Fear Factory cause they seemed a bit old and worn out.. crowd liked them though. I skipped the other band cause I didn't want to see them. Overall, great show!

Even though we had to wait through several bands to hear them, it was worth it. Dino's other band Divine Heresy played several bands before Fear Factory and they, too, were amazing. Tim Yeung, playing drums for DH was unreal and he was a really nice guy. Fear Factory came out last and tore it up. I wish the mix was a little better on Burt's vocals, but to hear him belt out his melodic style on the choruses was nearly euphoric. I think they played only songs that Dino has recorded with them, but that was just fine. Dino shredded it and we got to hear all of the best stuff. He and Burt were also really nice guys to meet. I was kinda scared to meet Byron . He was an imposing, and non-smiling figure. Props to Gene Hoglan whose syncopated, detonation, resonance manipulation brutalized my grey matter. My only concern with this band is that if Burt gains any significant weight, they will have to change the name of the band to Fat Factory. Them's some big boys up there.
