Well worth the wait in the cold December evening in a St. Louis winter. Everyone at the Pageant was incredibly nice, it was impossible to get a bad seat. They had coat check for $2 which was a great deal, and Ludo had Christmas characters handing out hot cocoa and cookies to the people waiting outside, and then we were greeted by cookies when we came into the seating area. You could take pictures with Santa (I think they were free), and the entire stage was decorated for Christmas. The show started about an hour late, but it was well worth the wait. Ludo had two opening bands, Option//Control was first, and they were decent. I believe they are a local St. Louis band, and they were okay performance-wise. They opened with a Christmas song. Treaty of Paris went on after them, and they were incredible. My husband and I loved them, after they went off, while Ludo was setting up, we went to the merch booth and bought their CD for $5. Ludo went on and the performance was spectacular. Easily best show I've ever seen. Perfect mix of songs from all 3 of their albums and Broken Bride.

You know you'll get a great show from Ludo since St. Louis is their home, but Ludo is just one of those bands who makes every show a personal and epic experience. They did Love Me Dead as a sing-along again and everyone participated in the Whipped Cream dance. Andrew performed Horror of Our Love and gave a pump-up speech before the encore (after which they smashed 4 acoustic guitars over the knocked-over basketball hoop). Ludo is easily one of my top 5 bands to see live and I will go to their shows until the day I die!

Ludo...is simply an incredible band. They are amazing in the studio, but their live performances are where the band really shines. I've seen a lot of bands live, and I can say with absolutely no doubt in my mind that they are some of the best live performers, ever.

the title basically explains it. I've been seeing them since they were the opening act at shows. they have come a long way and I can't wait to see them again. :) hopefully in Phoenix, because Tucson is a bit far for me. :(

The venue was such a nice setting for this show, the old hotel-turned-club was perfect for this off the wall concert. The opening bands were full of energy, a great prelude to the main event. Ludo was great, eccentric as expected and tons of fun! The air was electric and it was an experience I'll never forget.

Ludo was hands down one of the best bands I've seen concert. However, as for the concert itself, four opening bands was far too many, and I regret showing up at 6:30 when I could have waited until 9:30.

The concert was amazing, Ludo put on a great, and unique show, that kept me both laughing and singing along the whole time. They are a great band with a great stage feel. When they played their most popular songs from recent albums, they got the crowd involved (Love me Dead campfire sing along?) and kept it interesting. I would definately recomend you see them when you get the chance!

The concert was very good. A lot of energy but that's to be expected, Ludo always puts on a good show! I especially loved the venue. It was my first time at The Basement and I was impressed. It's a tiny place but if you get there early you are so close that you could touch the band. Loved it!

I think that Ludo out did themselves this time! The show was extraordinary and was so much different than any of their other shows. They bring new songs, old songs, and ones that they haven't played before. They bring friends and great bands and have a good time! Best Ludo experience yet!!!!!!

Ludo's performance was absolutely fantastic as always. I have yet to attend a Ludo concert that was disappointing. They always put on a good show that is not only entertaining in the music, but the overall presentation as well. Highly, highly recommended!!

The show was great. Ludo did an amazing job and performed with a lot of energy. The show was full of antidotes from Andrew and great music. It was a terrific experience and the Pageant is a wonderful venue. The only flaw was the fact that there were so many opening acts. But Ludo definitely made up for it. It's great to see this band back in St. Louis where they belong.

Andrew's energy never ceases to amaze me. All of them are VERY good showmen. The 4 band billing could have been annoying, but all the bands did a good job - so it was actually a great build-up to the main event. They are Excellent live.

This was, hands down, the best show I've ever been to. Tommy and the High Pilots were the best opening band I can remember seeing. Ludo put on an amazing show...they just keep getting better and better. Their stage presence is so commanding. Going to a Ludo show is like stepping into another world!

I bought my boyfriend Ludo tickets for our birthdays. He'd already seen them and told me they were good live. I was excited... it turned out to be AMAZING! I will never forget this show. My boyfriend said it was better than he'd ever seen. Andrew's voice was so crisp and clear and every time he stopped singing the entire crowd was screaming the lyrics. it was unforgettable!!!

Ludo plays very well for their home town. They really put on a show and kept the crowd moving the whole time. There was never a dull moment and Ludo likes to keep things fun. It was the last show of their tour so it was a once in a lifetime not to miss thing.

Their concert was amazing. They interact with the crowd great. The best part was when the sang "Love Me Dead" acoustic, and out in the middle of the pit. I also enjoy their quirky antics on stage. It was also great when the whole crowd was asked by the band to stand up and do the dance that is performed on the Whipped cream Video. They first taught us the basics and then we did it while they sang. They are one of the best little/big bands to see live and i have seen many great live concerts. They also had some great opening acts. Tommy and the High Pilots were great.

I went to this concert really to seen The Graduate, but my friend is a Ludo fan so we stayed. It was awesome! I only knew a few of the songs, but I was entertained the whole time and it was so cool to be in the STL crowd, with everyone singing along to all of the songs. It was one of my favorite concerts I've been to, and now I hope I can go back and see them again in STL sometime!

I have been to a lot of concerts, but this past LUDO concert was absolutely outstanding!!! The music was excelent (it felt like forever to get through all the pre shows to get to LUDO but they were all pretty great). When LUDO came on the stage though, I was lost in the concert! I didn't want to leave and I felt like could party with them the whole night (I wouldn't even cared if I were tired). The band kept me excited, laughing, and was full of suprises! The best part of the show was when LUDO came out into the audience and played Love Me Dead with accoustic instruments. Even my cousin who came with me thought that was freaking awesome! This concert will be very hard to top in my mind and I can not wait for them to come again for the next show!!!!

Guys, this was my first Ludo concert, and I'll just tell you now - it beat every other concert I have ever attended. If you're a fan, buy tickets NOW!! Go see them anywhere, anytime. They were fantastic. Even though the concert was part of the Prepare the Preparations tour, they also played all the favorites from Broken Bride, Ludo, and You're Awful, I love you. The whole evening was magical (and I'm not exaggerating) and just a lot of fun.

Ludo is amazing, if you have never heard of them please look them up they are always a lot of fun and a band for your inner nerd. they also have beautiful love songs, but so i don't deter the rock lovers, their rock opera broken bride is to die for, just look them up and see for yourself, but this concert was the best lots of extra fun things that they did not have to do and that other bands would not even give another thought to, like playing acoustically in the crowd, having a free meet and greet and giving out presents, hot chocolate, candy canes and cookies all for free. put this one your list as a must have for next year

Never been to a rock concert where they had-- on stage-- giant Xmas inflatables, a cardboard fireplace complete with stockings, dudes in reindeer and snowman costumes handing out cookies at the door and dancing on stage. Plus, Santa made several appearances! But the coolest part is when Ludo stopped the punk rock, waded out into the under-age crowd and did 3 traditional Xmas sing-along-songs before launching again with the Love Me Dead song.

This concert is one of the best parts of the Holiday. The bands all play Christmas music, the Pageant is decked out, and Santa even greats you as you come in the door. Ludo's music is already fantastic, and this concert is just one of the million examples of why Ludo is known for being great live.

As always, Ludo was fantastic live. Their on-stage antics, energy, and sound never disappoint. I am always amazed by their ability to excite and involve the crowd. The opening acts were also very impressive. Tommy and the High Pilots were a phenomenal band and should soon be opening their own shows. Lastly, the friendliness of the band members of both Ludo and the High Pilots made me feel closer to the bands and more involved with the shows. I would definitely recommend seeing either one of these bands if you want to go to an exciting, energetic show where the music sounds just as good if not better than on cd.

This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Every single band/act was great. Without a Face was funny, Stamps was very good, and Tommy and the High Pilots rocked. Sparks the Rescue was pretty incredible, and are very good in concert. But Ludo was absolutely fantastic. This band really knows how to put on a show, and they ROCKED their home town to the very foundation. They better come back, because I already want to see them again.

The show started of great with Without a Face, an unexpected, hilarious treat. Continued on with great energy with Stamps. Tommy and the High Pilots rocked the crowd with a cover of "You've Lost That Loving Feeling." Then there was Sparks the Rescue. They killed all the energy and forward momentum the show had going. They had many technical difficulties (many due to show boating) and was over-all a bad fit for the rest of the bands. Then Ludo came on... Dracula's, Spacemen and Basketball Players. They played a lot of crowd favorites from the early albums and did a great mashup of "Rotten Town" and "Skeletons on parade." The highest point, among many high points, was getting the crowd to cooperate; Everyone was told to be silent, sit on the floor and don't touch the band as Ludo walked out to the crowd and played an acoustic version of "Love Me Dead." The Pageant was a great venue; very clean, great sound, lots of room for people that don't want to be in the pit and there wasn't a bad seat in the house.

I'm not a really big fan of concerts. I have been been to the huge festivals and I have been to the smaller, more intimate venues and I've seen Ludo in said tiny venues and it only got better this time around. Generally speaking, the smaller venues are a testament to a group's lack of popularity (though not always) and this seems to be the case for Ludo. The end result was an amazing music-going experience and this band definitely knows how to connect with it's audience. Excellent times were had by all...
