Just a wonderful show before Christmas. John Trones was at his best along with the ladies. Jim Brickman as always can't be beat and was so glad to see him in town again since Orchestra Hall is shut down.

After a two-year hiatus, John Trones' "Christmas in the City" returned to the Pantages Theater on December 23. John and special guest Jim Brickman never fail to deliver the perfect balance of Christmas spirit and holiday romance, and the singing talents of Jen Burleigh-Benz and Maria Stukey added a beautiful texture and dimension to the evening. That this performance was a fundraiser for the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund made it all the more special and relevant this time of year. For some reason this concert doesn't get the attention & attendance that it deserves. Folks who missed seeing "Christmas in the City" 2013 missed out on a beautiful evening wrapped up in a warm holiday hug. Here's hoping that John & Company will return again & again in the years to come.

This was my 4th show and it gets better every year. John has such a wonderful voice he makes any classic Christmas song sound new and magical! Be sure to catch him next fall with the MN Orchestra doing a tribute to the Carpenters!

I'd never heard of John Trones until hearing him advertised on FM 107. (Sorry, John....but true.) I invited 3 girlfriends to join me. EVERYONE loved the show! I got kuddos for picking such a great performance. Will definitely watch for the show again next year!

All the singers were in amazing voice! And the piano playing was superb. The performers clearly enjoyed the stage. Only complaint is that the show started late, and the intermission was way too long..so the show ran longer than planned. [had dinner plans after]
