Trapt

TRAPT IN CONCERT:Trapt continue to make heads bang with their melodic brand of nu metal, delivering another strong collection of grungy alt-rock anthems in 2013 with Reborn, their sixth studio album. Whether charismatic frontman Chris Taylor Brown is tearing through hits like "Headstrong" and "Stand Up" or reaching out to touch fans in the crowd, his dynamic presence always ensures the perfect balance of aggression and intimacy, making the band's shows as appropriate for mosh pits as they are for sing-alongs. Back on the road and tighter than ever, Trapt has fans eagerly awaiting their upcoming tour dates.BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Formed by a group of California high school students in the mid-'90s, Trapt played their first shows before even graduating, landing on tour with Papa Roach soon after.

This was my first time at the Masquerade and it will not be my last. Me and a group of friends came to see Trapt in concert. We showed up 30 minutes before the entire thing started and got a wonderful parking spot, there was no line, and the staff was wonderful. Then the music started. We were lucky enough to get a front row view in the pit to see three up and coming bands. First was vault 51, next was an amazing concert by Adakain, and lastly there was First Decree. Unlike many other music venues I have been to this one was set up in a way to encourage you to get close to the stage. There was a space between the stage in the pit where security was but you were still able to get super close to the bands. When Trapt appeared on stage that's when it all went down. This has probably got to be one of the best concert I have ever been to in my life. That's saying something because I go to a lot of concerts. Despite there being two fights break out, which happens when you get a bunch of people drinking smash together in a music pit listening to rock music, the security handled it swiftly and professionally. I will definitely be back and I give this venue highest rating possible because they definitely deserve it.

Trapt is comprised of four extremely talented musicians. These guys put on a great show - they put all of their energy into it, no doubt. It was probably one of the smaller venues that they have performed at, and they didn't act like it was beneath them at all. They appear to really appreciate their fans, and enjoy doing what they do.

Trapt puts on a great show and sound even better live! First band, Inept, was ok. Second band, Divide The Day, was terrible! They're just a lousy copy-cat band of Papa Roach and Avenged Sevenfold. The third band, Since October was very good! Got to speak with the frontman while he ran their merch booth on his own. Very cool! Good album/

Trapt was one of the best bands I have ever seen live, and currently that count is 69 bands, so thats saying something. They had great energy and presence on stage, and Very involved with their audience. As an added bonus they explained/described the meaning behind every song before they played it. And they had amazing bands open for them making the concert all that much better. I would go see them again in a heartbeat, cannot wait until their next show.

Trapt at the Troubadour was amazing. Since the Troubadour is so small, you could see the band closely no matter where you were standing. They played an array of songs from all three albums. The only downside was that they only played for an hour and 15 minutes, surely not enough time to get in many songs. After the show, Chris and the band came out and signed autographs and took pictures with fans. That was pretty sweet.

For the price of $20 (including tax and fees) this was a good show. It wasn't the best, nor the most exciting, but I really like Trapt's music and I thought the opening bands did a great job as well. Inept, Divide the Day, and Since October were all good to listen to. I'd definitely go again, especially if it was so cheap. I probably wouldn't spend much more than that on a ticket though.

Trapt played a greatest hits set, most notably who's going home with you tonight, echo, contagious, still frame, stand up, and headstrong. While the setlist would please any mid-2000s hard rock fan, I felt that, for whatever reason, the performance was a bit stale and lacked a certain degree of energy. (This may be understandable for a band past their prime playing in a small venue in northeast PA.) In any case, the best band of the evening was Righteous Vendetta; despite that I'm not a huge metalcore fan, RV brought a youthful and energetic performance which got me moving, unlike the other bands of the evening. Overall for Trapt: good set + stale performance = average show

I have never seen trapt before and always wanted to so when I saw they were playing in Vegas my sister and I hopped in the car and drive from San Diego basically speeding all the way! I knew they would be good but OH MY GOD they blew me away! Chris is such an amazing performer with an amazing voice I would definitely go to another show in a heartbeat. Also the beginning bands were great, I really enjoyed 3 Pill Morning. Trapt come to San Diego soon please!

All the artists that played at this event were fantastic, Chris (Trapt) put on a great acoustic show. Played a good mix of songs and even a few brand new songs. . Easy Friends, his brothers band, and an opener for the show, was really good and brought alot of energy to the crowd. Other openers- Insomnia, Misty Eyed and Sojourn all did great. The venue employees in charge of sound check did a fantastic job, it was apparent they really cared about their jobs. I cannot say enough great things about the bands and their performances, hence my 5 star rating. The venue however was very "meh". The Tabernacle is worlds nicer. Only perk is that it is super easy to access, parking deck is literally attached via a breezeway, however the area itself isn't that great after dark.

Tickets listed show time as 8:00pm EST, we arrived at our seats at 7:30pm EST and had already missed the first band. Show actually started at 7:00pm EST. Sound was mediocre, vocals were muddy and overpowered by the bass. If you didn't know the words to the songs, you were out of luck. Overall the bands were great, just wish we could have heard the vocals better.

I really loved this event for several reasons. It's worthwhile simply for amount and quality of the bands you get to see. All of the bands made it feel like they were there to have a good time with you. Then Salvia came on stage with a very captivating and energetic set. That momentum rolled right into Trapt's show. There is something so appealing about a band that's in there element on stage and wants you to enjoy it worth them. It certainly put a smile on my face.

So decided to try the VIP meet and greet State Theater offered. I am going to start with that experience rather than the music. We arrived at 4 as instructed. We waited and waited and then someone came out to tell us we would be going inside but they were still setting up. So they check our tickets and IDs and give us wristbands. Then we have to have tickets scanned. The guy scanning made me go through all the tickets again to show VIP even though the wristband lady had just done that. Then we were closed in an entry way and waited and waited and waited. Finally we get to go in. Only a few band members came out to meet us which was disappointing. But we did get photo ops and were able to hang with the guys who did come out. The staff was fairly rude and non helpful. I really did not like how they treated the customers. The music however kicked a$$. It was amazing. Short sets as there were so many bands and one band listed was not there. We stayed mostly for saving Abel who delivered beyond expectation. We left during Trapt so did not see Saliva. Trapt was not the best. They kind of fell short after the set delivered by Saving Abel. We has already been to Revolution Rock the day before and still had a two hour drive from Portland to home or we would have stayed for the whole show.

Overall the lack of audience nearly killed the show for me. The artists were the same amazing outstanding artists I remember from my childhood and they tried their best to really pull everything they could out of the crowd. But the mass hysteria and crowd roar is the biggest part of the concert experience and there was little of that going on. As well it was advertised that Alien Ant Farm would perform and they were nowhere to be seen and no explanation was given. Ticketmaster and the venues need to do a better job with explaining who will be present and if they are not giving a reason why. All I can say is, an artist is a magical entertainer capable of pulling emotion from you and forcing you to display it and enjoy yourself, but the entertainer can only do soo much. So do yourself a favor and don't try rocking on a Sunday.

Awesome show! Love Chris's was of connecting with the fans. He doesn't just sing and leave. He speaks to us and gives us words of encouragement. It's nice that there is a band out here that isn't always so hard. Trapt is real and sings of real things and real feelings and that's what it's all about. I've been listening to Trapt for 10-15 years. It's moved me. Trapt's music is part of me, and it was just amazing to have a chance to finally see them live. I wish he would have pulled me on stage to sing with him ;) The 2 opening bands I saw were great, as well. Third decree had some great lyrics, great melodies, however they're just a little too radio for me. However, the other band I saw, Adakain, was just jaw dropping impressive. It takes a lot to impress me, but WOW they played great. They really reacted with the crowd. Adakain has definitely gained some fans. I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan R and Corey. They signed my CD :) so awesome. i got some merch too. nice guys.

This show was superb! The opening band, First Decree, straight up energy with a familiar feel. Everything you want in an up and coming band. Great group of guys to chat with after the show. Darling Parade was good, but not being a true appreciater of female singers, it wasn't my cup of tea. However, props to them for rocking out! You definitely won't be disappointed by their performance. The Veer Union...what can I say about them? Oh, right...they kicked major ass and were by far the highlight of the bill. While I'm familiar with some of the catalog, the songs I didn't know kept me hungry and wanting to hear more. Crispin's energy was outstanding! Dan squared, Ryan, and Amal all sounded great and we're very much into the set. Sadly, they are only out for two more shows after tonight. Trapt, for me, was okay. After seeing The Veer Union, the energy level came down a lot. Picture it this way, First Decree and Darling Parade are your warm up laps during your excercise routine. The Veer Union is your hard core kick asss sweaty workout, and Trapt is your cool down. It was disappointing, but they sounded good, so I can't fault them for that. Bottom line...go check out any of these bands if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed!

TRAPT's debut album has been solidly within my top 5 favorite albums of all time since its release. So naturally, as soon as I heard about this show, TRAPT playing their debut album in its entirety in a small club venue for only fifteen dollars, I jumped on the opportunity. I must say, they did NOT dissappoint. The ticketed start time was 8 PM, so I made sure to get there by 7:30. By this point, several local acts had already taken the stage, so I figured TRAPT would be coming on at 8. Much to my surprise, there were five openers running until past 9:30. Though they were all talented, entertaining, and engaging, it seemed a bit excessive to have that many openers in such a small setting. However, as I said, they were all good, so it was worth the extra wait. Playing through the album in order, TRAPT opened with a stellar rendition of Headstrong, setting the pace for an energizing and down-to-earth set. One might think opening with your signature song would diminish the rest of the show, but in this case the energy only continued to build throughout the night, especially for those who were very fondly familiar with the debut album (myself among them, singing along with every line from every song). They played through songs such as Hollowman, Made of Glass, and Still Frame, every one becoming surreally better than the album version, the charisma of the room bringing the excitement to euphoric levels. Then, rounding out the set with a quieter tone, a beautiful acoustic solo performance of Stories made the transition from the album to the rest of the show. Continuing on with newer hits like Stand Up, Black Rose, and the ever-energetic and appropriate way to end a show, Who's Going Home With You Tonight. All in all, great venue, great show, great price. Convenient parking, freindly staff, nice crowd, and a wonderful (albeit late) night to be had by all.

Shallow Side, Righteous Vendetta, The Veer Union and Trap! What more could you want? We drove 6 hours for this show. The show was AMAZING! All 4 bands put on a high energy show! We also did the VIP for Trapt. Got to hear their sound check, got into the venue before anyone else (which I highly recommend!) and got to do a meet & greet with the guys (who are awesome!) The only thing I didn't like was there was this female who crowd surfed over us, not once, not twice, but three times! (We were front stage, on the railing) She wasn't a small woman either, and the security would just grab her and walk her away from the front of the stage. After the 2nd time, she should have been thrown out.

this was my first time seeing trapt and i so enjoyed it they did a good combination of some of there older favorite songs as well as playing music off there new album. they sounds awsome live. i would def see them again if they come play here again. they put on a great show the good thing about the stone pony is they do not allow moshing and such so you felt safe to be in the front and just have fun

If they come to your local venue its definitely worth seeing them. They put on a high energy show and have a great relationship with the crowd. This is the second time I've seen them, and they have gotten better with time. Perfect act for a small venue where you are always close to the stage. Trapt is an act meant to be experienced, not simply heard. Great show.

Trapt put on an amazing performance! They started a little late but they played a mixture of old and new songs! Love this venue as always for the small, intimate experience.

I recently attented a Trapt concert and was looking forward to the show as I am a big fan of their music. To say their live show is a let down is an understatement. Chris wasn't bad, but the rest of the band looked like they couldn't wait to be done. They looked bored and had no energy. Also, their live show would benefit from other members singing backround vocals as opposed to Chris trying to do it all. I am glad I went to the show though as I was exposed to 3 Pill Morning for the first time. That band is going places. I encourage everyone to check them out. In my opinion, they should have been the headliner with Trapt opening for them.

Awesome intimate concert where the band is right in front of you. The only problem my girlfriend and I had was that the speakers were way too loud for such a small venue. Other then that it was a great experience.

3pill morning was better than trap...ive been a trapt fan since they started out, but seeing them live they were flat with no energy. All they played was their new stuff I heard two songs that they were actually known for. Their vocals were even balanced right so consequently u couldnt hear a damn thing he said over the drums. Bottom line I left before it was over. I was that disappointed, 5 dollar black jack at terribles was more entertaining.

I had never been to the Brighton Music Hall before, so I was wary of maybe not begin able to see the stage clearly, or too many people, or being uncomfortable. But really, it was perfect!! It's a small venue, and I was able to get right up to the stage. The first opening band, Acidic was very personal and came down into the crowd several times. The second opener, 3 Pill Morning, was spectacular!! They were having the time of their life. Trapt came on, and it was amazing!! Words can not describe. Bass was high and vocals clear, something hard to come by at shows. Afterwards, I was able to meet all the members of all three bands, and everyone was very friendly. Definitely seeing any one of them again when they tour. I *Highly* Recommend!!! Go have the time of your life!!!

I've been to about 25-30 concerts and I have to say I was looking forward to this concert for months. I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never seen Trapt live before but I'm SOOOO glad I bought these tickets! They were AMAZING and I didn't want it to end. The venue was small which was nice because you have the opportunity to get up close. I was about 3 people back from the lead singer Chris Taylor Brown... and boy was I a happy girl!!!!

Trapt was awesome. The venue was perfect for them plus I am a huge fan of smaller club bar concerts. probably only 150-200 people. Cannot wait to see them again!

State Theater was great, not too big and not too small. We didn't even have to get their super early to get right on the stage. Openers were great but Trapt was seriously unforgettable! They played their new songs but mostly their old stuff which is my favorite. Two songs for encore brought the house down!

Fantastic show! Trapt was professional and sounded great. It is a shame that Atlanta's market doesn't promote rock bands or rock shows. The only way I knew Trapt was coming was because I received an email from Ticketmaster. I spoke with numerous people at the show and the story was the same. It is a shame when the local rock station doesn't care when a great band is coming to town. Trapt must have been astounded when the realized they were playing in a bar - but the rose to the challenge and played just as they would if they had been in a large arena and the crowd was more than enthusiastic! I feel fortunate to have been able to see such a great band in such a small venue!

Poynte was a great opening band for Trapt. The Cringe(sp) was NOT a good second band. Show was in "Hell" which is the basement for Masquerade. Super small and very open. Sound quality was good and they performed old and new songs. Did great. Annoyed with the encore. Bands should just utilize the time they are given and not make fans beg.

I love Trapt, they were very much awesome and rocked the show. I would and I am definitely going back to see those boys again!! The concert should've been sold out. There were plenty of people there and the service was great. If there was a fight then Staff members broke it up so that no one got hurt and the drinks were made with perfection. The band was social and not stuck up like some can be. The show was awesome!

The amount of energy they had at this show despite it was there last stop on their most recent tour is incredible. Chris (vocalist) was jumping all over the place and he puts the same amount of heart into the lyrics as he does in the studio. I met everyone in the band. They were all very friendly and signed autographs after the show. Highly recommended.

It was my husbands birthday and I wanted to do something that night, so I looked into some bars with local bands but came across Trapt. I like them but only knew the earlier stuff. We showed up and they did the perfect mix of both old and new music. They completely rocked out. I forgot how much I loved this band. **Side note** It was kind of funny seeing the 16-17 year olds there who only knew the new stuff but had never heard the more popular songs like Headstrong or Stand Up.

5 Stars for Trapt & Acidic. Both were great with the crowd and sounded incredible! Trapt's new stuff is the bomb grats to them going independent. Acidic is a new band out of LA and I ended up buying their CD, have a nice sound that is like a less whiney and more edgy Green Day. I knocked off one star for the opening band which was a bit too Scream-o for most of the crowd and certainly for my old self. The $11 beers were a bit insane, the rap bumper music was probably not the best choice for a Trapt show. Chris had some mic issues at the start of their opening song but they got it fixed really quickly. Like my daughter said, at least you know they aren't lip sycning!

This was my first time seeing Trapt as well as going into the new Vinyl venue. They totally rocked the house! My only complaints were that I wished they played a couple more old songs and I wanted them to do an encore. But other than that I sang my lil heart out and had a great time! :)
