Scorpions

SCORPIONS IN CONCERT:German band Scorpions has been electrifying audiences since the early ‘70s with their signature hard-rocking melodic metal and power ballads. With the 2010 release of their 17th studio album Sting in the Tail, the band proved that age had far but mellowed them, kicking off another high-energy tour that has fans eagerly awaiting the chance to see them in 2014.FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:“What a blistering, incredible and energetic concert the Scorpions put on tonight. Wailing guitar riffs and solos, thundering rhythms, and of course Klaus Meine's signature, crystal clear, high tenor voice soaring across the arena…Tonight the teenage boy in me returned for one last concert with my favorite band ever.

I hadn't made it to the Scorps back when they were big. This was my first concert with them. I did have excellent seats which made all of the difference. I was blown away at how good they were. Almost perfect to their many, many albums.

The Scorpions concert was an EXCELLENT show as always. Megadeth opened for the Scorpions and they rocked too! This was my 36th time enjoying my favorite band the Scorpions. The sound was perfect and the Chase Lounge pre-party was a treat too! I look forward to many more concerts at The Forum! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had waited all my life to see scorpions in concert and it was well worth the wait. Love those guys and hope they play forever. Megadeth warmth the crowd up playing some hard rock in jams. And scorpions came out and played every song you ve ever wanted them to play live. I was on my feet the whole concert rocking out with everyone there. The crowd and the staff were amazing and there was a good vibe through the whole concert

Great show. While the lead singer was just getting over the flu and apologizing time and again for not hitting the high notes, this was one show worth going to. They gave it their all and it showed. They thrilled their fans with the energy of each song. The new drummer is amazing and his solo was outstanding. This band will be missed if this is indeed their last tour.

I caught the Scorpions opening show of their US tour last night at the PNC Bank Theater in Holmdel NJ last night. Although Klaus Meine was suffering from the flu the band went on and rocked the place like a hurricane! Klaus couldn't hit the high notes due to his illness, but the audience helped by singing along to all of the songs. Great guitar work by Mattias Jabs and Rudolph Schenker supported by excellent drumming and base work. My wife and I had a great time hearing the older stuff and the newer songs. Go see this band before the tour ends - they are retiring from touring and albums!

Overall the show was OK but I've seen them better. Klaus had nearly no voice and even said so during the show. The music was awesome though and I like that PNC added the video screens to the rotunda. That made my lawn seat that much better. I was surprised at Cinderella as the opening band - I had no idea they were still around. They were also OK but I wouldn't go out of my way to see them again. Klaus said he did not want to cancel this show but I would have preferred a postponement if he would have sounded better. I hope they come around again but supposedly this is their farewell tour. I've heard that from other bands before though (and certain NBA and NFL players!) who claimed 'retirement' :) Come back and play the Beacon again!

For our wedding anniversary I bought Scorpion tickets for my husband. He had never seen them live and I knew he would love them. First all Holmdel was a perfect place for the concert. We arrived a bit late and picked up our tickets at the box office without any problems and our seats were amazing. While Klaus had some technical difficulty with his mic and later his voice - he managed to sing an entire set with the flu! I thought he might pass out he looked so sick and he did explain to the audience that he did not want to let us down, he wanted to sing from his heart but his voice was gone and he did not want to cancel the show. The whole band played passionately. Thank you Scorpions for sharing a wonderful night and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the music over the years!

just bought pre-sale tics for Scorps here in Sacramento this will be the 25th time seeing my favorite band. One year I believe it was 1983 the year of the US festival I saw them five times that year. Hands down they are the best live performance you will ever have the chance to see, many bands need the studio to reproduce there sound not my boys. I have scene 100's of shows from following the dead around for awhile to Disturbed and even Kenny G. While I have scene individual dhows that would rank higher such as Pink Floyd the Wall tour and AC/DC 2 months before Bon left us none can match the durability and consistency of the best live band ever THE SCORPIONS lets all hope this truly is not a farewell because nothing can replace the memories over time of my band Mathis rules!!!!!!

I saw the Scorpions at the last Texas Jam, Monsters of rock tour in 1988. The Scorpions were the next to the last band. Van Halen finished and Sammy Hagar lost his voice, so they couldn't play a whole set. Thank God because the Scorpions wore me out! Most people stood on top of their seats the whole time. They rocked! One of the best bands I've ever seen, and trust me, I've seen most. Didn't want to miss them on this "farewell tour." In case it really is the last time they tour.

i have to tell ya, i have seen the scorpions 7 times. from coast to coast i may say *wink* they have been one of the best rock and roll concerts i have ever been to. i have seen a lot of groups but these guys will always leave you wanting more. i took my niece the last time they were in reno, nevada at the grand sierra resort. the next day she bought 3 of there c d's. i remember in tucson, az. i took my girl friend candy when they performed at the casino of the suns ampitheater . she had no clue who they were. after the concert she bought 3 of there c d's. and that proves my point. there performances are just that good. so yes i am glad i was raised on rock, in them big city nights, and they will always be no one like you guys. rock you like a hurricane.

I have seen every tour since 1984 (Love at first sting) and have never been disappointed. They always give you your money,s worth and even as they get older they still rock. I am sad to see this is their farewell tour but they have earned it. There new album is one of their best in years (Even though I loved Humanity) this one reminds me of vintage Scorps (Lovedrive, Animal Mag, and Blackout). I cant wait to see them in a great venue like Citizens Bank Arena in So Cal.

This band is a must see. I have seen them 13 times soon to be a 14th. One of the bthe est moments was when I won tickets to the Crazyworld tour using two pay phones and won two front row center tickets to this fantastic show. In Seattle, Wahington. On stage always being the most professional. Crazy but no to much hype. Like I said professional. Klaus, Rudolph, Mattias, Francis, and Herman, probably the best lineup but not to undermine the current lineup with James Kottak. Kottak a great drummer htwith lots of personality. If not known he was the former drummer from 80s band Skid Row. During the show after perfoming Tease Me Please Me, Rudolf threw his gutar pick out into the croud which I caught is one of my most prized rock possessions I have among all thirteem shirts from all of the shows I have seen this band. Since this is the last tour, It is a must see. You will not be disappointed but will be glad to see one of the best bands in rock and roll history!

This was outstanding. I had seen these two bands a few nights before in Oakland and the shows were not even close. Both bands brought their A game to the forum. Megadeth opened and absolutely shredded for a full hour then the Scorpions came on and in the first few songs Klaus seemed a bit off but then just took over the venue. The Scorpions Rocked on until 11:15pm. We found out after the show that Klaus had voice issues and they had to cancel the rest of the tour. It gave me an even greater respect for his flawless singing. Great Bands Great venue!!!!!

The Scorpions rocked the Tacoma Dome for more than 2 hours playing songs that spanned their 40+ year career. Klaus Meine can still sing rockers and ballads effortlessly at age 69. Guitarists Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs energetically traded riffs throughput the show. The Scorps enjoyed themselves and the audience provided backup vocals for most of the night. A really great show!

Scorpions were awesome at Laval on Sep 19, and they show no signs of slowing down or aging! I was not impressed with Megadeth. You could hardly make out the lyrics! The Scorpions, on the other hand were spot on! Klause's voice is as strong as ever! The new drummer has added a new level of energy to an already rocking group. The only complaint that I have with the Scorpions is that they didn't play long enough. They performed for about an hour and a half. They have so many hits that they left out.

Up next were the headliners, Scorpions.Despite announcing their farewell tour 5 years ago, they have returned with a vengance.A blistering set and fantastic production. These old rockers have not forgotten a thing and played hits from almost every era of their storied careers. The Scorpions are still one of the most legendary rock bands featuring a pair of the greatest guitarists in history. Everyone knows the classic hits, but the band has been up to good work, writing some really under-rated heavy new material over the past decade. The Scorpions can still bring the rock. Klaus Meine still has a great voice and is an underrated front man with Rudolf and Matthias providing sold guitar work. Only thing to knock off a star was the set list was a little short, would have like to seen them play a few more hits like Holiday and Love Drive for their 50th Anniversary. This may be it for them but the way they looked and sounded they could go another five or ten years.

I bought a ticket last minute as Queensyche's publicist flaked on me last minute. I got to the venue (my first time here) & I have to tell you all if you go to the Santa Barbara Bowl the drinks/food is cash only so please be aware! Not a problem for me as I am a cash girl, but the website doesn't tell you that. The ticket I bought wasn't so bad, but the people were sitting during Queensryche, which I don't get! I HATE seats, they are too confining for girls like me who want to dance, so after annoying my whole section by dancing up a storm I went to see if i could upgrade or find a place for dancing girls. I did both! For $10 I upgraded to the front section & was told there was a pad where I could dance so I danced like a hurricane during Scorpions. Everyone at the Venue was really nice, it's a nice place, however, I was told by some locals that I could have bought my ticket (sans fees) day of show, closer for the same price, as they release the season ticket holders tickets at doors. Live & learn, could have saved a few bucks to spend on beer! Queensryche was great! First time witnessing Todd La Torre on vocals, I wish they did Lady Wore Black & Warning, but they only have so much time! Scorpions were on fire as well, although I would have liked to have hear Alienation & Unholy Alliance, but maybe I am the only one. Regardless these 2 together rocked! I felt bad that no one was rocking out to Queensryche but the audience was an older crowd, maybe they missed the whole MTV era? After the show Michael Wilten & Eddie Jackson signed my new Queensryche shirt & took photos. ROCK & ROLL! See live music every time you get a chance & keep metal alive!

Just did an awesome job ... Bottom line ... One of the best decisions I've made in a while ... I had so much fun and still get a smile about the whole experience ... Excellent

Scorpions were stellar. Glad did not miss this despite the fact it was close to home in Windsor. Wished it was in Detroit.

Coming off of a 4 - 5 year hiatus from touring, you might expect these veteran rockers to be a little rusty? Not the case! This show had the energy of their first trip to Cleveland in 1979 along with the professionalism we have come to expect and enjoy from the Scorpions. Superb light show only added to the evening. Hope they don't wait so long to visit us again!

Saw Scorpions and Queensryche in Columbus and all I can say is "wow." What a killer show! This should be on any rock n roll fan's bucket list. Todd De La Torre is such a great vocalist and Queensryche has never sounded better!

I actually bought these tickets to see Tesla but because I never caught a Scorpions show "back in the day" I was excited to see them. Unfortunately that excitement spun out when the Scorpions started off their show with several ballads. They never really mixed it up between new and old so, despite the fact that their light show was very cool and they're a good band, I got bored. I actually left early. I think I've only done that at one other concert in my entire life. In the 8+ times I've seen Tesla they have never disappointed. They are a consistently good, solid rock band, that still releases new and relevent music while not forgetting that their fans from the 80s are the reason they still take the stage. For that reason alone, and regardless of the fact that they usually blow away anyone else they perform with, I'll continue going to Tesla shows until they stop touring.

I have been listening to the Scorpions since the late 1970s and am impressed that they are still rockin'. It was a lot of fun to see them again; it was also my youngest son's first rock concert - he loved it! They played all their old stand-bys and were fantastic! The show was a bit short - they only played 90-minutes - I wish they played longer. Also, I was also amazed at how many old people like me were in the audience, too.

I haven't seen the Scorps since th 80s. They blew the crowd away. They got as much or more energy than any young band around now. I can't believe they might hang up there guitars. Klaus sounded perfect and Rudolph and Matthias tried to split the rocks. Kottak is crazy. Never heard the first song "Sting in the Tail" but loved it. The crowd sang along to everything. Fortunately the band was loud enough, you didn't have to listen to the guy next to you LOL. Great show and you got to love Red Rocks!

I had not seen the Scorpions since the Savage Amusement Tour 1988 in Germany. This one was even better. With the Colorado mountains as a backdrop and the huge red rocks coming out of the ground providing acoustics, the Scorpions sounded better than ever. Klaus, Mattias and Rudolph were in sync on every song. Tesla was a good opening band but a little uninspiring. Scorpions automatically ramped up the energy and the sold out crowd stood up the entire time. Klaus had a great rapport with the crowd and praised Red Rocks as the best, most beautiful venue they play. I met a great guy named Dean that gave me a extra ticket he had and got me bumped up from General Admission to row 37!!! Also met a couple that flew in from Des Moines Iowa just to see Tesla!! I got the autographed drumhead by Kottak and a roadie gave mea copy of the setlist fromt he stage!! GREAT JOB SCORPIONS, I HOPE THIS IS NOT THE FINAL SHOW IN COLORADO.

What a fantastic night. The venue was packed, the crowd was amped, and the show kicked ass. Opening the show with surprise local (California) fan favorites Tesla was a great marketing move by the Scorpions. They wanted the crowd pumped and that s what they got. The show opened with James s drum set rising in the air. I thought the band was going to come out from under the drums like they did during their World Wide Live Tour. I was fooled along with other diehard fans as the band came running out from the sides of the stage. Once they started, they never stopped. From one song to the next, they kept the energy surging. Their only real break came during James s drum solo which is always exciting. A super group like the Scorpions could never play all of their hits during one show but they played songs from as many of their hit albums as time would allow. Kottack drumming was fabulous as always. James loves what he does and it shows every song. I still have a problem with Matthias. His playing skills are unquestionable but he continues to stay locked at his stage left position. He came to the right side of the stage only a couple of times during the two hour show. Not fair to snub/ignore all those fans Matthias. The star of the show always seems to be Rudolph. Running all over the stage during every song, he never runs out of energy. Too bad the same can't be said for Klaus. The wear and tear of years of touring is showing. He looks tired and his stage presence/movement seemed to confirm that. There were moments of life during a couple of songs but for the most, he was walking back and forth throughout the show. This was a great show and it left no doubt that the Scorpions are one of the top super-groups still touring. Find a way to see them. You won't be sorry. The Final Sting World Tour Leg 2 of 3? Say it ain't so. Let's hope they keep adding more Tour Legs and keep coming back for years to come.

This is the fourth time that I have seen the Scorpions. This show is basically what is on the Scorpions 3D DVD. The band was playing for the fans, they have nothing to prove and the fans responded with one voice . The vibe in the arena was euphoric. If you are on the fence about going to see this show, hop off and get your tickets.
