Jackyl

The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach is a great location to watch a show. They make it even better by having someone serving alcohol outside so the wait is even enjoyable. Inside is even better, as there are no bad areas to watch a show. Lighting is great, sound is even better.

Jackyl is nothing but a top notch show. Jesse is one of a kind and this is one of my favorite shows to go to. I only hope they come back soon and maybe to the Ramkat in Winston where Ziggys use to be. That would be awesome!

I have seen jackyl 15 times sence they came out in 1990 they were a warm up band at first. I just love jesse's voice i will continue to see them as long as they keep playing. what made this one so speacial is of course jesse james doing something crazy like mooning everyone at the end of the show ooooooooooooooo not just once but twice awesome show is kid nigels is freakin bad ass too.

Seats dead center in the intimate Midland Theater. Despite obvious amp problems, Jesse James Dupree's son and his band soldiered on and started the night's rock party. The affection with which Jesse and his band hold KC Rock 98 DJ Johnny Dare and the KC audience was immediately evident. Lots of familiar chat and kidding - the house had the feel of a private party, not your normal concert. It was a FUN night and it's too bad the band had to leave town afterwards for their next date in KY - the whole house would gladly have spilled out into the Power & light district to continue the holiday party with the band. DMC was a fabulous addition to the show, adding an element that had everyone rocking out at the top of their lungs. Really great show, really great atmosphere. LOVE the 98 Rock shows at the Midland. VIP party feel to everything they do!

The show was really awesome. My buddy and I both had a great time. It was a great value for the low dough price but I would have paid more. The bands played great and the sound at the Midland Theatre was great!

This was the second time I have seen Jackyl live. This time I was 10 feet away and it was great. The temperature had the guys really sweating right from the start. Only bad thing was the 4 hours of standing on pavement.

Once again Jackyl was great. Jesse and the band were as good as I've ever seen them. The sound was good and the show was flawless. They had a great mix from all of their CD's. I recommend that everyone should see a Jackyl show. It is pure entertainment with great rock n roll. His opening band was The Nigel Dupree Band (Jesse's son). They had a unique 1980's sound, a mix between Skid Row and Kiss. There is no doubt that he is following in his dad's footsteps.

This is our family band - my husband, my sons and me attended every concert for years! Then my youngest son was killed the night before their Columbus concert at the Newport in 1998. It took eleven years to attend another Jackyl concert - my eldest son came up from Louisianna to Ft. Wayne for work and we drove over to meet him and his co-workers ...... what a show!!!! Front row - face-to-face with Jesse James! We had a fantantic night ... the boys are still kicking it! Jackyl never ever disappoints!

Excellent night at Piere's with one of the most eccentric bands, Jackyl. Full of energy and spontaneous. Wonderful crowd pleasers, and they make sure you have a good time!

Jesse James Dupree was incredible as always. The new songs were great, I will be buying the cd!

Jackyl took the stage Saturday evening at Rocklahoma and I just knew we were in for a treat. Decked out in white cowboy boots and a bright red union suit with the trapdoor flappin JJD hit the stage and proceeded to tear it up. Playing all the hits and a few new tunes(which rocked) we were treated to an hour and 20 minutes down and dirty hillbilly metal. Only down side was JJD seeming inability to sing and play guitar at the same time. While doing one or the other he was fine, both at the same time not so much

Awesome set list, great volume, energy and the band still has an obvious good time on stage with each other.

It was a small crowd but the band did an amazing job! Hoping they will return to Destination Harley again next year! We definately want to see them again!!!! Great job guys!!!!

One of the best shows I have been to. Connected with the crowd & rocked out. Would def see them again. JingerKroa opened & will definitely see them again.

If Jackyl comes to your area, do yourself a favor, and go to see them. They put on a great show, and keep the audience engaged the entire time. We were about 8 feet from the stage and loved every minute of it. These guys have not let fame go to their heads. After every show, they will stay out at the merchandise tables and shake hands, sign items, and take pictures with each and every one of you. Some of the nicest guys in the biz. They kick ass on stage!!

Jackyl did a wonderful job of interacting with the audience. It was wonderful seeing them in a smaller venue. We definitely would recommend anyone going to see Jackyl and going to see any entertainer at Effingham Performance Center!!

Annie's is a small venue. Had great seats and view. We've seen Jackyl many, many times before. They are always very entertaining, every time. even after over 25 years together, they seem to enjoy themselves on stage. The crowd participation is outstanding. The banter with the audience from the band is entertaining. Jessie is very funny and watching Roman , Jeff and Chris is amusing. They all put on a good show. They are all drenched with sweat by shows end. The meet and greet after the show is always a nice touch. They will sign anything and shake everyone hand. I feel they truly appreciate their fans. They are very friendly and speak to the fans with true concern. Always a fun night.

I've always loved Jackyl, this was my first show. I loved him on the show full throttle. His concert was even better than I thought it'd be.

As always Jackyl cuts it up from start to finish literally and figuratively. Hits old and new plenty of audience participation! If you haven't made it to at least one Jackyl show add it to your bucket list!

The only problem we had with the entire show was how delayed it was getting started. Both bands were awesome but the wait was not.

Great show but with buying VIP tickets didn't know that had to pay extra for a seat!! Would have been great to know! With me bein 5'2" a little difficult to see!!!! Other than that the show was awesome! (Drinks a little expensive)

This my wife and I's 3rd time in 3 years seeing Jackyl..they never disappoint. And they do meet n greet/photo/autographs afterwords for free at their merch booth..and they are all very very cool.

The show was great and the venue was good too. Loved it!

Trixter put on a great show however it was very sad. It was a 1200 seat venue and there could not have been more than 250 people there if that. I really thought they were the headliner but it turned out to be Jackyl who were absolutely horrible!!! It was a fun night anyway. Looking forward to new music from Trixter in 2015

Jackyl is one of the most fun hard rock bands you'll ever see! If you don;t have fun at a Javckyl show there is something wrong with you.

ok this is half a review....im not familiar with jackyls, and thats not why i was there....i was there for trixter....they rocked the house as usual.....they engage their audience....during the show, they are also speaking to the audience.....and after the set, they did a meet and greet with the audience....pictures, autographs, chatting.....they aim to please

The show had many layers and all were good. The venue ""Wild Bills" was a great place to see a show also, friendly staff and good quick service. I'll watch for other bands coming to this venue. Great job Jackyl!

Wild Bill's is always awesome. Jackyl is a band I have always wanted to see since the episode at KMart in the early 90's. Jesse James Dupree is outrageous, fun, exciting, and creates a party atmosphere. This band brings incredible energy.

Great show it always a good time when Jesse and boys are rocking the house.

The small "opener" guy was cool but got boring fast. Once Nigel came onstage it rocked! His band was good and he's very entertaining. Jackyl was awesome. They are so nice and down to earth. We got to meet the band and get autographs after. They were amazing and the show was great. The only thing was since the show was inside the "bar" there was some feedback and echoing. Not bad enough for me to change my thoughts on it though :)

Show was great from start to finish! Nigel Dupree kicked ass!! First time at Wild Bills, and really liked the venue. I had read some bad reviews, but found it to be great. Very good acoustics, plenty of space, and good drinks. Had a blast, and plan on going back!

These guys rocked it. Cannot wait to see them again.

Had a blast Saturday night with the classic southern rock of Jackyl those guys killed it and put on one of the best shows I ever seen the only band to play a chainsaw in stage it s a unforgettable experience hope to catch them live again

Jesse James Dupree took my buddy's kid on stage n helped him with chainsaw n he also fired the shot gun. Total class act.

Seen JACKYL in 1994 and really did not know What to expect..... It was as GOOD as it was in 1994! If not BETTER I had never been to the venue before as for the the price of the Ticket very reasonable.., Very Loud! The set up of the stage could have been different .... Having tables and chairs in front of stage felt like it held the Audience back enough to where you where being told, "listen but don't dance" and the lights where alittle much in one's eyes !

Great show! Been waiting to see them for 15 years. Jackyl did not disappoint and I can't wait to see them again!

Everything I expected and more. Played all the hits I came to see. Jesse is the ultimate entertainer and the definite leader of the band but Jeff Worley more than holds his own as Lead guitar player of the band ( I was surprised how well Jesse played guitar )

As always Jesse and the guys rocked the house. I've seen Jackyl half a dozen times and from 500 to 50,000 they give you everything they've got and a few extra!

As always Jesse and the guys tore it up! Great song selection, excellent audience feedback, and guys played and drank on without a break. Not to mention they take the time after a show to shake a hand and say howdy to anybody that wants to meet them.

this is the 4th time I've caught a Jackyl show. Been a big fan since 94 & glad they're still bringing the house down. Hope they come back often!

First time to House of Blues. Service was outstanding at the venue inside & out of music hall. Opening band Wayland (?) was okay but mic had feedback & squeals & they were just too ear piercing loud. We upgraded to upstairs for another $30 so we wouldn't be deaf by the time we left. Once Jesse & Jackyl came out it was a great concert! He is so entertaining. I was able to go back down to GA to get some pics & hear a few songs & their sound system was so much better! Can't wait to see them again, they put on an awesome show!

I love this small quaint theater and the box seats above the stage. Jackyl's performance was outstanding. Bring earplugs if you are sitting in the box seats.

First time seeing Jackyl and being at the Underground- both were amazing. Definitely will go back and see more venues there and can t wait to see Jackyl again!

4th time seeing Jackyl... They always Rock the House. Great Show!!!

My 2nd time seeing Jackyl. Always a rocking band. Good performers. The acoustics of the venue are lacking but overall enjoyable and would go again.

The time said 2pm for this event. Got there and found out Jackyl did not play till 8pm. Very deceitful to people. I really did not want to hear second hand bands for six hours until Jackyl played. Not only that the first band played at 3pm so basically standing around a bar for nothing. Not going to pay bar prices for a drink, which I'm sure is what Masons Live wanted people to do, drink for hours so they make money. Very disappointed with this venue.

Concert was great, drink prices too high. Will go again.

I use to go see jackyl at annie's in cincinnati. . then it got moved to bogarts. . place too small and sound sucked... jackyl was great there but jackyl at 8 second Saloon AWESOME. . worth the drive from cincinnati. .. this was my 2nd year there and will be back...

Tickets stated that doors opened at 6pm. We live 1 hr and 30 minutes away and checked the time so we knew when to leave. We arrived 15 min early. I chose not to wear a coat because I was only going to be outside. at 6:15 we were still in line waiting. I checked the 8 Seconds Saloon Facebook page, it said it was open. I checked the event which said that doors opened at 6. I called and the person that answered responded with doors open at 7, I said well my ticket says 6. The response was, doors open at 7 and they hung up. I stood outside freezing because of their inability to have the correct information not only on their tickets but on their Facebook page and event page! Once in we waited 2 more hours for a bad cover band we knew nothing about. The tickets stated Jackyl, not any other band. Once we got through that torture we waited another hour at least before Jackyl came on. We were there for 5 hours total before we even saw the band we came to see. Once they started playing we were so disappointed and angry we simply left. I will NEVER return to this venue.. no matter who plays. They were rude and basically set bands up so that those people did nothing but waste money on beer. We went knowing the plan was 2 beers for my husband and a drink for me. We sat there watching people get drunker and drunker waiting for entertainment. It is a horrible way to do business!

It's not even a question whether I'm going or not when Jackyl is playing. Only question is how far am I willing to travel to see them. As I've told friends and family, Jackyl is ALWAYS a good time!!! This was my first time going to the 8 Second Saloon. Parking was good. Prices and service were good. I'm looking forward to the next event there.

All the guys of Jackyl put on a great show. Jesse has so much energy and really makes sure the crowd is getting into their performance. They truly seemed to be having fun - like they were jamming in the garage with a bunch of buddies.

I did not even know who Jackyl was until a few weeks ago. My friend recommended I go with her, as she has seen them preform before. I am now a fan for life! The Performance was very exciting!

I'm not much of a Jackyl fan, but got tickets for my husband. I only know about 3-4 songs of theirs, but it didn't matter. They put on a high energy, rocking show. Jesse is the most down to earth person and just a regular guy. I really enjoyed the show and would recommend it to anyone.

By far the best show I have ever been to, it was a sold out show.and they gave us our money's worth. The only bad thing was the idiots that had to fight, there was 2 fights all night long and everyone involved was thrown out and it went back to normal, I'm giving security a high five for doing a good job on breaking it up and tossing out the trash.

It's a party every time at a Jackyl show. They interact with the audience and each other. You can tell they still enjoy playing together. They shake hands and autography anything after the show. They joke with each other and the fans at the greeting table.
