Only first heard of Paolo a month ago when heard Let Me Down Easy on the radio. I thought he was an older soul singer maybe from NoLa. Then listened to more of Caustic Love and found out he was a gorgeous young singer from Scotland. That was a surprise. Went to the concert at Term 5 and he is one of the most incredible singers and raw talents I have seen in years. Not only is his voice unique, soulful and gutteral but the music is his. If you are responsive to his music, the voice hits you viscerally - in the heart, the stomach and the groin. The band is excellent - this is beautifully complex music. Songs that take more than one listen and Paolo's phrasing of them shows artistry of a great caliber. Seeing him live, you know you are seeing a true original. He leaves everything on the stage for every song.

Paolo Nutini is the most original, talented guy to come along in a long time! I have been following him and his music for 8 years, and he just keeps getting better and better. If you've never seen him, I highly recommend it. From Paisley to Harlem...congratulations Paolo!! xxx
What an amazing night! Paolo Nutini is truly one of the most talented people I have seen live. Him, and his band, the Vipers, had so much energy that electrified and energized the whole Terminal 5. So much passion from him and his band, it's unbelievable. I'll definitely will be seeing him next time he's in the area.

I saw Paolo Nutini in Atlanta five years ago. It was an incredible show and went down as the best concert I've ever been to. I didn't think it was possible, but his last show in Atlanta beat it. Paolo just keeps getting better and better with age. His talent, along with the talent of his band continues to surprise and impress me with every show I'm lucky enough to attend. It's like he and his band go to so much trouble to make their live shows a truly spectacular musical experience. You can feel the passion for the music they perform and feel and see their joy as they play. It's infectious. I left the show happy and with my cheeks hurting from smiling so much. I highly recommend a Paolo Nutini show. You will not be disappointed!

Paolo Nutini delivered a maturity and sound in his new album Caustic Love that built on the first two, layered in some funk and life experience, and then took the whole sound to a new level. In this live performance he simply elevated his game to an entirely new level. With classy remixed versions playing appropriate testimony to what got him here, he went on to deliver song after song that drove the crowd wild. The Variety Playhouse has long been my favorite venue in Atlanta for it's intimacy and ability to draw great talent and again it did not disappoint. The crowd was silenced in the slow stuff one minute and then sung back every word another. To me this is what the live music experience is all about plain and simple. Paolo you have a fan for life.

Technically, the concert was amazing: vocals, audio, band, instruments, performance - everything. I only gave 4 stars because Paolo didn't really give homage/recognition to Atlanta. I think it's pretty PC for performers to do this everywhere they go and it also really gets the fans pumped up. So, that was disappointing. Also, the setlist was such that it wasn't REALLY high energy at the very beginning of the concert (first few songs). I felt like this also put somewhat of a buffer on the excitement. Fans were excited, but I felt they/we could be MORE excited. And he doesn't do much audience interaction. However, can find no fault with the venue or the performances - Paolo and all the musicians are great. Paolo's vocals: emotional, sexy, soulful as well as clear and melodic and lilting depending on what song is being performed. Hope it's not 5 years before he tours again!

I have been a fan since Sept 2006 & have been to 4 shows ... 2 at the Wiltern! Paolo Nutini holds nothing back in his performance. His passion & honest emotion & enjoyment of performance can be felt ... brings tears to my eyes. I loved the new arrangements of songs like "Candy" and Jenny Don't Be Hasty" from previous albums. His appreciation of the audience is genuine ... a gracious person. The audience around me (some of them only saw him sing one song on Good Morning America in September 2014) was enthusiastic & fully engaged. All in All ... Awesome Experience!

Paolo Nutini is such an amazing singer! His band is really good, too. Unfortunately, the band was WAY too loud. They totally drowned out Paolo, and there's the rub. Paolo doesn't really NEED a band. It was a great show, don't get me wrong. But when he gets out there and does some acoustic stuff and you can really hear his voice, it's just SO powerful. So, Paolo was great, but the next time he comes around, I hope it is an acoustic set so we can appreciate the real talent.

I bought tickets to see this concert at the Wiltern thinking I was going to see Paolo Nutini, who has a great voice and great music, not Paolo Nutini and the Vipers. This concert was not billed as such. The music was still good, it just wasn't the concert I came to see. He performed one older song in the middle of his upbeat rock concert, that didn't even resemble the song. I recognized the words, but not the music. His very last song of the encore was also a much adored song of his, though he still changed it up. I'm not sure why he thought his original music was no longer of value. I originally fell in love with his ballads, which were nowhere to be seen. Who was that guy?

Paolo is one of the few up and coming acts that has legs. He's got a unique, soulful voice. Charisma. A crack band. Great songs that have a pop sensibility. The show did not disappoint. So many of the young bands sound the same and their songs make me want to fall asleep. Like the opening act Phox from Wisconsin, and I'm from Wisconsin. Not Paolo. He rocked, rolled, and he's got soul. Also, The Wiltern is a cool Art Deco venue in Koreantown part of LA with great restaurants around and open late.

I just had seen Paolo on The Today Show and fell in love with him. So I bought two tickets for me and my boyfriend to see him. As soon as I had sent him a Youtube of Paolo we both fell in love with him. His style reminds me so much of Marvin Gaye and this kid is on his way to becoming very famous here in the states! I would see him again and again and again. He put on an amazing show and he has a great band behind him. The opening band was a band by the name of PHOX and they were also very good. A group of kids that went to high school together. I was pleasantly surprised by there style and there music!

I have been watching this young man since he started writing his own music at 16. He has come a long way, So humble and evolving as he goes. The guitar and bass player have been with him for the entire time. Excellent additions with horns and a power house back up female singer that blends in seamless.Sold out in Europe, USA is to busy with 25 dancers and hair machines, which is fine. If your want to see a band playing actual instruments and amazing lyrics, don't miss Paolo Nutini. Still on tour here....

Of all of the live shows I've been to in my life, Paolo Nutini was hands down the best show I've been to. The talent that this man has is beyond amazing. My husband introduced Paolo to me a few months ago, and I quickly fell in love. Back in July, I looked up Paolo's tour schedule and was thrilled to find that he would be doing a couple of shows in NYC. I immediately purchased two tickets as a surprise for my husband. He was insanely happy to find out we were seeing him at the Apollo nonetheless. Anyway, it's been 3 days now and we cannot stop talking about what an amazing show Paolo puts on. HE IS THE VERY BEST!

Paulo Nutini emerged as a somewhat effete and mumbly pop-singer around eight years ago but the last five-year-layoff has seen him reinvented as a mature bluesy performer with Motown influences. Despite his Latin name, he does indeed come from Paisley, near Glasgow, in Scotland as his parents ran a chip-shop (fish and french fries to our American cousins) in that town. His delivery was immaculate and the set list lasted an hour and a half, only slightly marred by the incomprehensibility of his inter-song banter. Someone should remind him that, on this side of the Atlantic, the movie Trainspotting is shown with subtitles. The stunning performance was concluded with five encores, all richly deserved, and I justify this exuberant review with the disclosure that I have booked a ticket to see him again at Terminal 5 on September 22nd when he finally launches his brilliant new album Caustic Love over here.

I saw Paolo in 2009 in Amagansatt.....a very small venue ...that time as part of a largish Amererican tour. I enjoyed it very much but worried that hew didn't engage with audience at all, sung with eyes closed. I Afterward had chance to chat...and it seems silly now...to advise him on this. Well, four years away he has 'obviously been spent taking care of that little problem. So excellent singer songwriter and now performer... It was a very polished concert. Started on time, all numbers crisp. He seemed not at all afraid of his audience. Quite the opposite. Very much in control. I suppose he also made a personal journey. I notice he tweaked some of his own lines. In one song about his old girlfriend who he was with from grade school to 2010 and who has been his muse he originally sang 'However much you love me, I will always love you more' this time he sang 'However much I love you, you will always love me more.' Great job. Great album. Happy to be part of trajectory.

Anya Marina opened the show with a cute little voice and a big personality. She's got a great sense of humor and is really engaging. Paolo is a phenomenal singer and musician. His band has some new additions, including a harmonica player, a horn/piano player, a new drummer and a new guitarist, called Dave. His band bring lots of new energy, and some more stage presence to the somewhat shy lead singer. Dave was hilarious jumping around and moving during the entire show. Paolo's new style really suits him and it's clear that he is enjoying what he's doing. After the show, I hung around near the back gate and got an autograph and a picture with Paolo. There were some pushy people, and he was very gracious with everyone, and stayed until there weren't any more things to be signed or pictures to be taken. All in all, the fox is a beautiful theater and it was an awesome concert experience.

My friend and I showed up early to get a good spot and we ended up in the front row. Anya Marina opened and although I've never heard of her, I was really impressed by her voice and sound. Her whole performance was just her and her iPod for the backing instruments and it ended up sounding really good. There were girls in the audience next to me and when Anya found out they were from Brazil, she did an impromptu Brazilian song that was one of the best songs of her set. She also covered T.I.'s "Whatever You Like." I've definitely become a fan of hers. Paolo came out and the whole set was performed with such passion and intensity that makes it hard to describe. The majority of songs were backed by a full band, while others were just him and a guitar. The combination of upbeat, rock driven songs with the more mellow acoustic songs, made the whole evening so fresh and fun to watch. After the concert Paolo came outside and signed stuff, took pictures and talked to all of his fans that were there. I would say that he hung out with us for about 30 minutes, making sure that he got to all of us. I got a hug and 2 pictures with him! The whole time I couldn't believe that I was talking to same person that I had just seen on stage. He was so humble and genuinely kind. Meeting Paolo and being able to hear him live was an unbelievable experience and I can't wait until I see him on tour again.

I have been a fan of his music from the first CD, These Street, and I must say for the first time seeing him live I was very impressed. His band was amazing, and the show was just the right length. If I had one negative thing to say it would be that he always sings with his eyes closed, and never makes contact with the audience. I saw him last night on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, and he did the same thing. I guess that is just how he performs, and if that is the worst I can come up with I guess I must of enjoyed it. I have told all my friends to go see him if he comes to their town, because he sounds really good live unlike a lot of the acts out there today. Spend your money on this one you won't be let down.

Paolo Nutini came on to stage to a packed House of Blues last Sunday in Dallas, TX. The crowd was diverse - from teens to grandparents - and all seemed to be thrilled to see the Scotsman in Big D! It's obvious that Paolo does not rely on studios to "smooth out" his sound like some artists. This guy sounded great live - as good as his recordings! My only minor let-down was that Paolo did not make a lot of eye contact with the crowd. His eyes were shut and head was turned down during many of the songs. I know folks are there to hear the music but, personally, I like to hear some stories from the performer, to feel more connected with who the artist is - get a feel for their personality. I didn't get any of that. Maybe Paolo is just shy... Nonetheless, it did not take away from my experience. When it all comes down to it - it IS about the music. I'll gladly see Paolo the next time he's near my hometown!

To me there is no better place then to see your favorite artist than the House of Blues in New Orleans. First of all the Concert was Amazing. Paolo, the band, the lights, the sound, and the music! These guys are pure Genius! I mean the entertainment was heaven from a start to finish. Not to mention the fact that I got to meet Paolo before the concert and he was a very cool cat. He chatted with us and took pictures and was just overall a great guy. A definite old soul. Speaking of Soul. This band has so much variety from soul to rock to mellow folk alternative to Jazz. Something for absolutely everyone to enjoy. Just the most awesome riffs. I'm no musician, but I know what sounds good and can appreciate the instruments and what critical sound each one brings to Paolo's "prowess soul". The dude rocks! Honestly, I could probably sit and listen to the man sing ABC's and be in awe, but his words have so much meaning in every song it just makes the words come off his lips that much better. Did I mention he is HOTT!

It was my first time at a zoo concert and it didn't disappoint! Both openers were great and Paolo was incredible. I was a bit worried about his stage-presence--hearing that he was very shy, and he came out all hunched over--but he proved to be a very dynamic performer. Amazing for such a young performer to convey such emotion on every song. He obliged us with a few encore songs that were amazing as well. I don't think anyone wanted to leave, Paolo himself seemed surprised at the crowd's enthusiasm. Hope he comes back soon!

Paolo was fantastic, but any fan of him would be able to agree with that. This was the first time seeing him live and I will have to say on the drive home, listening to his songs on my Ipod, I felt spoiled. My friend and I stood in front of the bassist, who had the most beautiful white and gold bass I have ever seen. That brings me to the band. A singer is only half as good as his band, and WOW, these guys were fantastic! From the harmonica player to the guitarist to the sound guys in the back, the delivery was genius. Paolo is lucky to have such a great team. I was skeptical because one of the sound guys was not good for the opening acts and even the performers complained. The opening acts were superb as well. When I got home I downloaded both acts on Itunes. After the concert, my friend and I went around back and got to meet Paolo and the band. It was interesting to see an age range of 22 to even somewhere in the late 50's or early 60's working in unison. Paolo was very nice by letting me take a picture with him. I could hardly breathe I was so excited! I can't wait until they go back on tour, literally. I may have to look into where they are playing again on the east coast before the tour ends...

Paolo sings his little heart out at every single show! He puts the whole force of his body into it, so he hunches over a lot. This means get there early and get close to the stage if you want to see him... He puts on a very entertaining show though, and he has an amazing band. The variety playhouse is a great venue in a very fun part of town. It's mainly adults who attend, and the shows are almost always sold out.

Paolo Nutini came out on to the stage hunched over clutching a glass of red wine. He warbled through "New Shoes" - at times skipping words - and announced "no more shoes". Several of us didn't think he would get through the show he seemed that drunk. But he did - for the most part drunk - and he did it pretty well. I was a bit disappointed that I spent time worrying about whether EMTs would be called for alcohol poisoning. However, his band was amazing - amazingly talented and fit well together. Paolo seemed to get better as the show progressed. Either he became more settled or more sober. Perhaps both. By the end I could enjoy the show but I wonder if this could have been one of the best shows I had ever seen if Paolo could've waited until after the show to start seriously hitting the booze.

Okay so I go to lots of concerts, and of course each one would be judged differently depending on the genre, artist, etc. etc; however, Paolo Nutini truly put on one of the best shows I have ever been to. The openers Matt Hires (adorable, by the way) and Erin McCarley were great, but seriously no one compares to Paolo Nutini. He and his seven band members utilized multiple instruments to construct Paolo's unique sound (think trumpets, saxophones, harmonicas, a few guitars, and an adorable old man with some chimes) and they sure looked like they were having a blast doing it. Nutini played all the songs I expected and hoped to hear (excluding, sadly, "Rewind" which I was really looking forward to!), mixing both of his albums. Starting off with "New Shoes," he proved that he'd keep us dancing and singing along all the way through "Jenny Don't Be Hasty" at the end, which was a huge crowd pleaser, and an epic sing along (as was "Last Request") Paolo downed his glass of wine, a beer, and some fruity looking drink throughout the show, but that's just how he works best, I suppose, because it definitely seemed to do him good..although his not standing up straight was probably annoying to people in the back who could not always see him. Also, he was sometimes hard to understand when he spoke (all the drinks kicking in ha), but it didn't even freaking matter because I got it i the end and he is still amazing. Definitely one of my favorite artists. Some other memorable songs were "Loving You" which was fantastic and such a sexy song (one of my favorites of his) and "10/10" which the rest of the band (The Vipers) seemed to really enjoy playing. The stripped down version (well, him and his guitar- I guess it's already pretty raw) was so beautiful, and it really showed how much emotion he puts into performing his songs. "Coming up Easy" was also fantastic, of course his new single "Candy" was great, and "No Other Way" was so so so incredible. I cannot tell you how much I love that song and how excited I was to hear it at the show...so great. Nutini's voice sounds amazing on that track, and it was even better live-another song that he puts so much emotion into-especially live. After it, he "ended the show" only to come on for an encore, playing a couple more songs before pretending to leave once again, and then coming on for the last time to play "Jenny." Overall, Paolo Nutini is AWESOME, and the two years I waited till I was finally able to see it were so worth it, because his concert was one of my favorites, if not my number one. And trust me, he had some tough competition. It was a bummer when it ended, but next time he comes within two hours of me, I am THERE. It's hard to believe this guy is only 22 years old. I'm not a fangirl, but I have such a crush on him. I never thought a mumbling, rarely sober Scotsman could be so damn sexy.

The show last night was nothing but amazing. Paolo Nutini's talents are indescribable. His voice is like nothing i have ever heard before and seeing him live was one of my best concert experiences (and that's saying a lot because i've been to a lot of concerts). The opening artists were also surprisingly great. I had never heard of either Matt Hires or Erin McCarley but the second i went home i downloaded both because i was so blown away by each of them. I went to the show by myself and not once did i feel lonely or upset i wasn't with a friend. The music was all i needed to enjoy my night and i absolutely did. So thank you Paolo for a great night of music and fun. <3

No one performs with more conviction and passion than Paolo Nutini. It is obvious that his reason for being onstage is the music and not some drive to be famous or seen. It is all about the music. ANd his voice is like no other...soulful, sweet, soaked in scotch whiskey and soaring. An unbelievable talent that should be on everyone's radar and on everyone's playlist.

I almost missed the show, had no idea he was in town but as soon as I did I bought my tickets and got lucky to still find 2 available. Took my brother with me who had no idea who Paolo was and at the end of the night Paolo had gained a new fan! I've wanted to see him live for years and this show by far exceeded my expectations which were high to begin with!! It was one of the best live performances I have ever seen, just amazing! I was so happy to be there, I absolutely love it. Can't wait to see him again, even if it s the exact same show!

This was an awesome show. I saw him about 7 yrs ago and wasn't impressed with his stage presence. This time he interacted with the crowd, sang with such passion, and played his songs different from what you hear on the albums. I def look forward to seeing him again. I enjoy his new album too, caustic love. It's a bit different then his older music but still good. Totally pleased!

I have been a fan of his since his first song came out and was hoping he would play some songs from his first album but was disappointed. He sounded incredible but played way too much new stuff that was quite different from his first album. The crowd felt the same way as they were not into the new music either and kept shouting to play Last Request or Rewind, but he did not. We didn't stay the whole time because of this.

Paolo Nutini is a singer songwriter from Scotland who deserves to make it big in America. With his throwback voice and cleverly written songs, he captivates an audience of any age. And that's only his recorded songs. His live performances are thrilling and passionate; pouring his heart out on the stage and leaving the audience beyond satisfied with the show and leaving you waiting for the next show to be announced nearby. This is one artist you do not want to miss!!

Paolo Nutini's talent is unreal. He is a world-class performer, and his voice is very unique. What an amazing night at the Apollo. And then, after the concert, he came out to meet with his fans and was truly genuine with everyone he met. Paolo even kissed my mother's hand and gave her a huge hug after I told him I had brought her to his concert for her birthday. He's a very classy man and musician. Can't wait to hear his future work.

I was shocked at how small The Apollo theater is but pleasantly surprised to get such an intimate venue for such a talented musician! What woman isn't in love with Paolo Nutini? It just made my crush stronger to witness him interacting with the audience the way he did. Those few extra songs performed solo at the end of the concert were unforgettable. What a talent! I have to admit, I cried a couple times out of pure joy and in response to his raw passion.

This time I saw Paolo, he was even more soulful and amazing than last time. He was smooth as silk, engaged a lot with the audience, although they weren't as ready to listen to him..which was a downer, they just wanted to cheer. I get that, but I would have loved to hear him speak more. Best show ever for me!!! The man has talent like no other.

This was, no joke, the best non-friend concert I've ever been to. The crowd was giving Paolo and his band a standing ovation several times throughout the concert. It was the most fluid set list with the perfect blend of old and new. I've never been to a concert where the whole band held hands and bowed twice with such gratitude like the end of a Broadway play. I've also never witnessed an artist who so obviously didn't want the show to end as much as we didn't in one of the most historic venues in the greatest city.

Terminal 5 remains one of the worst venues in the city. The bar apparently no longer allows you to keep the lid on your drink so that's a downside. Also, there are always sound problems there, but they were minimal this time, restricted mostly to the opening act and Nutini's back-up singer. Otherwise, the show was pretty solid, but Nutini is not the most interesting performer I've ever seen. He's not great at transitioning between songs, staying awkwardly silent most of the time, and the show was oddly paced. He would often build energy with a few wonderfully performed songs the Jenny Don't Be Hasty/New Shoes medley of the first album and then let play a much slower song that let all that energy deflate. This happened quite often and made the show a little exhausting. He does, however, sound fantastic live and when the energy is up, there's nothing like it. The performance of "Iron Sky" was a highpoint. Definitely recommend seeing him live, but perhaps at a venue where you're allowed to sit every once in a while and react to the mood Nutini is currently setting.

Paolo was amazing. Expected a slow rhythm to the show but it was a smooth and upbeat vibe. Surprised that the crowd knew all the songs considering his not well known in the states. Loved that I could sing out loud my Paolo Nutini songs and everyone around me love them just as much!

Concert started on time. Warm up band Phox was good and played a good number of songs that was not too short and not too long. Paolo came on about 1/2 hour after. He played about an hour and a half, which was just right on a weeknight. Home by midnight! Music had a great sound (not too, too loud) and he and the band Vipers had lots of energy throughout. Not sure if it was a sell out, but there were a lot of people on the first floor and a fair number between the second and third floors. Of course it was our choice to see the show at this venue, but seats would have been wonderful! There were some tables that were not all filled on the second floor. Not sure who they were for and how one would have gone about getting them, since there was only a general admission price online. We arrived about an hour before the show. On the way in, there were many guys (and a girl) in yellow shirts. They were a pit pushy and in your face. They were young guys that did not seem very respectful and came across rude.We went up to the 3rd floor where we got standing spots front and center which, although far away, gave us a good view of the stage. Enjoyed the evening and would go to see him again. But hopefully at a nicer place with seats.

Pablo has so much charisma and a velvet voice. He played half of his old songs, some with a new beat. His new rock sound was a big hit and had the audience dancing, as well as singing along with him and to him. Can't wait to see him again. Show was sold out. He put his heart and soul Into his performance and it was 1/12 hours of sweet sounds.
