I thought Olate Dogs would be a show about different dogs doing interesting dog tricks. I was wrong and surprised that part of the show is a solo guitar player singing, juggling act, short video about dog food. The only dog tricks are their dogs (about ten) all doing the same dog trick: standing on their hind legs. Sometimes the dogs are dressed in outfits and walk on their hind legs. It is not an interesting show and about half of the show is actually boring.

Cute dogs but all they did was walk on their hind legs and sit on a stand looking at the audience. We got to watch an amateur singer and juggler take up 1/2 the show another quarter of the show was spent learning about the dogs and then watching a very long fashion show with the dogs walking across the stage in some ridiculous outfits oh and let s not forget this 10 minute movie that was so stupid! I don t know how these people survived a year in Las Vegas but I do know why their not there any more! Save your money even the kids will be board to tears!

Maybe I m spoiled by Mutts Gone Nuts.....but I was severely underwhelmed with this show. Hardly any tricks unless you count dogs walking on their hind legs a trick.....that s all they did. Then there was the 20 minute fashion show . Again it was just dogs walking on their hind legs in costumes. The guy sang during intermission and then finished the show showing his juggling talents. Overall a very disappointing show.

I was very disappointed in this show. I spent about $200 for our family of four to attend and I was expecting more! It feels as though the Olate family was not quite ready for the big leagues considering most of the time was spent on "filler" material. We had to listen to the son sing an Ed Sheeran song (what does that have to do with dogs?), watch the son and his wife juggle and ride around on unicycles (what does that have to do with dogs?), and even the "dog" parts seemed half hazard and not very rehearsed. One skit involved a dog not listening and doing what the trainer wanted.. although meant to be funny, I could have stayed home for free and watched my own dog do this. This felt like something that should have been done at a local high school where I maybe would have spent $5 to attend. LAME. Stay home and save your money.

The show was great, however they had no one outside to direct you where the event was. I showed up 20 minutes late because there were similar venues everywhere around the event. I was not from the area, so had no idea where this was held.

Love the dogs....wish the show featured more tricks. While the humans were delightful, I really went to see the dogs. Not necessarily unicycles, juggling and guitars. A little over prices for not having as many dog tricks.

I loved the dogs in Olate dogs! They did some really cute and amazing tricks; however, there wasn't as much with the dogs as I thought there was going to be. The show had the son singing (as he was just signed on to a record deal and he was trying to promote himself) and some juggling going on. I understand the dogs can't work nonstop but I did not expect that in the act. I thought the comedy skit with the dogs was cute. It was a good show but I had pretty much seen everything on America's Got Talent. Overall, I think they do a great job on training the dogs.

This show was not worth the $37.50 ticket price. The dogs are adorable and well trained, but that does not sustain over the evening. The singing, juggling and cycle riding were amateurish and if the MC said, "are you having fun?" one more time, I was going to explode. Whoever was running the audio and video board was clueless.

The dogs are EXCELLENT! Beautiful, amazingly smart and entertaining. I think, worth the price of the ticket if you are a dog lover as I am. I definitely would have enjoyed seeing more dogs and less humans but I get it. When I booked this show I wondered how dogs can perform for two hours. Apparently, the only way, being with a lot of fillers. The show was broken up with mostly boring videos and less then perfect juggling and circus type acts. I would never want to see the animals overworked and put under stress...but I think the filler acts should be vastly improved to make the show the best it could be.

The show was wonderful for people of all ages!! I had tears in my eyes all the time in awe of what these once shelter or abused dogs could do. I had a smile on my face all the time I was there. The father and son are doing wonderful work in showing the unconditional love that rescue dogs can give and how amazing they can be. Their tricks were wonderful and the father's story was unforgettable!! It shows that miracles still exist!!

The dogs were great. The rest, not so much. We don't need to be asked every five minutes if we are having fun. It was very difficult to understand the fathers broken English over the speakers. We didn't buy the tickets to listen to the son sing or to watch two videos (one didn't work). We figured out the dogs could walk on two legs but we didn't need to see every dog in a different costume doing the same thing. The extremely trained and talented dogs need to perform more to really get your moneys worth.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show and being in the Five Flags Center. These dogs are amazing, and you can tell how much they are loved.

I can't believe this was the act that won $1,000,000 on AGT. It was tedious and boring. The dogs were the best part but it needed more dog time and less pantomime. If the MC had sung that song on AGT they would have been booted. This was honestly the worst show I have ever seen.

Disappointed because we did not feel the act warranted the price we paid for the tickets. Nice people with a nice story but a very limited array of dog training or tricks It was probably more suitable for very young children with little or no expectations

Don't know what was more unsettling, the quality of the show or the poor condition of the Cohoes Music Hall....Sorry...

After a very difficult week, this was the best reward I could have received. My grandsons 12 and 19 and myself loved every minute. The love among the group is so obviousl

Great for kids and kids at heart! Just a tremendous amount of talent on stage. The tricks were not your "dogs chasing frisbee" type acrobatics. They were intelligent, role-playing skits and stories, enough to keep everyone's interest. I was pleasantly surprised. Also, I see where people are complaining about an intermission. Anybody with kids knows an intermission is a blessing! And as for the show being too short, since when is 90 minutes too short? It's the perfect length for a kids' show. How many times have I gone to see a national headliner and they played barely over an hour after we endured an opening act? No problem with the length of the show. In fact, no problem with the show whatsoever. Can't wait to go see them again when they're in the area!

While the father and son team are endearing, the show lacked substance. The majority of the show consisted of the dogs walking around on their hind legs. The intermission seemed completely unnecessary and the video they showed should have been played during the intermission. More and different tricks would have made the show better and the dogs could have looked a little more groomed.

Very entertaining but short and too much filler. One trainer sang a song, and there was a short video about dogs, but not performing. And a protracted explanation of where the dogs came from and how the trainer got to America. And with that, the show still was only 90 minutes long and had an intermission. Felt like there wasn't enough substance to fill a show.

The Olate Dogs were my favorites on America's Got Talent, and the chance to see them live at the Bergen PAC was a real treat. Very inspirational program. Not just a bunch of dog tricks, but some comedy and skits involving the dogs and a long fashion show during which two dogs danced with each other to Frank Sinatra and another drove onto the stage in a Batmobile dressed as Batman. So great! The kids loved it. So did grandpa!

Great show! Dogs were wonderful and the Olate father and son were wonderful with the dogs. The only negative was maybe a few more tricks with the dogs and a little less talking. Dogs are all rescue dogs which made the show even more touching. We had VIP tickets and got to meet and greet the dogs after the show. We really enjoyed this and one of the show people will take pictures of you while you meet the dogs.

Very average. 10-15 minutes of very well trained dogs and 40 minutes of filler.

This show was a waste, thedogs did very little except walk on their hind legs and a few other tricks. Then one of the trainers sang a song and juggled with his wife. It was not billed as a variety show! Everyone was disappointed.

Once I realized that these were the same guys from AGT, I was in! Of course my wife, is a huge dog fan as am I. And at $22 a ticket, you can't go wrong. The show was at the Egyptian room. Which was fine. A fair amount of people turned out for the matinee. We sat close to center and about 7 rows back. It was not too bad to see. The handlers do an awesome job. You know they don't abuse them at all. The dog's are happy. The show is simple but cute. The dogs walk around on their hind legs. Performing tricks. There are 3 main handlers. The Dad, son and son's wife. They fill in with juggling and guitar song which is fine since they are very talented. When you hear the story of the Dad, trying to live on the streets in Chile you can't help but want them to do well.

This is a gun show if you are a dog lover. The show is kind of slow when they stray off track by singing and trainers ride bicycles and juggle. It seemed a little expensive for what you get. They actual dog part of the show was neat but stretched out to make an 1 1/2 hour show.

Enjoyed the show a great deal! I loved the fashion show and the affection shown towards these dogs throughout the show. I didn't think the juggling and cycling were needed but I guess they don't have enough material to fill the entire venue time. I would recommend this show to my dog lover friends, but would inform them that the show needs some fine tuning. The addition of more dog tricks would be a great upgrade to this fun, heart warming show.

I didn't know what to expect. How were they going to fill 90 minutes with dog tricks? Not only did they do amazing tricks, they had a "dog fashion show" which was adorable, plus some skits. The MC Nicholas had a very bubbly persinality and actually sang a song on solo guitar while the dogs were going through costume changes. Just a delightful show and very thankful the Arts Center booked it. Go see them!

This show was very enjoyable but probably not for everyone. While I totally enjoyed it, I think my husband would have hated it. These beautiful, smart dogs were so fun to watch. What I loved most about the show is the obvious love they have for their humans and the love that the men have for them. The story about Mr. Olate's life and how he began training dogs was very touching. There were a few moments where the show seemed to drag, but overall I loved it and would go see it again if the price was good.

The first half of the show was super! The chairs were arranged so viewing was uncomfortable... I could pass on the son singing & the last dog trick, which was too long and not interesting. Need more content for an hour show.

Great family show. These dogs actually smile while they're performing. The love between them and their humans is something to see. If you ever get the chance to see them take it. It will be a very entertaining night.

We went and paid to see the dogs--they were great, but they were only performing for a fraction of the show. I did not come to see a singer or a juggler or a clown or a movie, all of which were sub par. All in all it was just OK--would not recommend it to a friend.

This family and these dogs are amazing! It is a great story how they achieved success. As god owners and lovers, it make you appreciate the skill and talent even more. I can not believe how well these dogs are trained! Considering they are rescue dogs make it all the more impressive. The show was so fun to watch live. We brought our 14 month old son and he literally could not take his eyes off the action. My wife and I enjoyed the show just as much. I agree somewhat with some of the other reviews that more dogs would be outstanding but understand that they need breaks, set changes, etc. The filler acts were funny and entertaining and every time the dogs came back out, it was even better! The show is wonderful for everyone but perfect for families and children. I would highly recommend.

After reading some of the reviews on earlier shows, I was wondering if those people saw the same show I did. I saw the show today and it was magnificent! The Sunday matinee was sold out and that's quite a feat here, going up against NLF playoff football. Of course you don't see dogs doing tricks for 2 hours. The Olate family spices it up with humor, stories, short films... an immensely satisfying entertainment experience, like I was watching an old episode of the Ed Sullivan show or something. Funny, touching, NOT boring for the kids at all. Go see them!

This was not your ordinary dog show. This was a true variety show. I wondered if I would get bored watching 90 minutes of dog tricks, or if my kids would pay attention. I'm happy to say the show was thoroughly entertaining and the kids were on the edge of their seats. The tricks alone are amazing enough, but there's enough skits and comedy routines involving the dogs to keep things moving along. You won't see any Frisbees flying. What you WILL see are dogs with personality, doing things (and NOT doing things) that leave you laughing or in tears. As a family show, I could not recommend this show any stronger!
