This was a great show. The evening passed quickly...a sign of a good time. Watching and understanding the TV taping process was interesting. Great sets and lighting. A great array of talent...something for everyone. Thoroughly enjoyed this show and can't wait for December...DVR will be ready to go! The recording we make of this show will be the best souvenir of our Nashville trip.

It was fun. Enjoyed music. Jennifer was awesome as a host. The funniest part was Vince Gill singing with Miss Piggy...

First the arena was ice cold. The event started extremely late and to pay for the tickets was Ridiculous for where we sat. To many stops and starts for even a show that was being taped. I would recommend kids over the age of 10 as the event is long and never ending

I had such high hopes for this event. Unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed. It was an extremely disorganized train wreck. First, they had not gotten all of the artists together beforehand to rehearse the finale, so this turned out to be a joke. They taped the finale (the first act of the night) three times and the third wasn't all that much better than the first. Then the individual acts performed...which was good except for the fact that there was at least 20 minutes of downtime between each performance. We were there for two hours and only got to hear five songs. We were so exhausted from listening to Stormy Warren trying to entertain the crowd in between acts with stupid Christmas jokes that we just couldn't take anymore. Not sure what time the event actually concluded, but at the rate they were going while we were there it probably would've been at least midnight. If anyone is considering attending this event in 2012, please don't waste your money and time!

It is always nice to see the country stars make such an effort to bring the magic and warmth back to Christmas. This is the second year we have attended the taping and it is a wonderful show. I hope they continue to do this for many years to come!!!

I should have known with a live event there would be a lot of stops and starts, but it was way too many (long ones at that) and I could not fully enjoy the show. I also suggest CMA amp up their organizational skills. Questions I had: Who's running the sound board? Jennifer Nettles should not have had to keep telling them she was heavy on the left side in her ear. Those guys running the board need further training or should be fired. Who's the MD for this show? There should always be a musical director for the show, if not for little things like, who's singing what in the finale. If they had one, that person is lacking as well, because anyone who puts Kellie Pickler's part (sweet girl but not with the best ear or the strongest vocally) right after a quick key change is not making a wise decision. Bless her heart she couldn't get it. By 10:00 p.m. there was the (disastrous) finale that they performed first (makes sense logistically) and maybe 3 or 5 performances. Granted, this was supposed to start at 7:30 (it was more like 8 p.m.). Bottomline, people should be charged way less for an event like this.

This is not quite the experience I was expecting. Since it is a made for tv recording, it is very produced and the opposite of entertaining at times. I thought it would be like any concert or live show, but multiple takes and re-dos of songs makes for a very long night. I enjoyed the chance to see country music stars sing christmas favorites but you learn quickly how diva some of them are with the exception of a few - Vince Gill and surprisingly the American Idol contestant winners Scotty and Lauren Alaina who probably actually practiced prior unlike Kellie Pickler.

Seeing the performers was wonderful. Getting seated was a long process because of ongoing practices. It was way too cold in our seats so we left right after the Brad Paisley numbers.

I had a lot of fun attending this concert. I would recommend going if you are closer than the nose-bleed section. They have to often re-start the songs and you can barely seem them, and I got a little impatient after 5 hours and left. Though I did have fun, I will only go in the future if I have closer seats!

First of all the general admission was awful. We got there before the doors opened and stood in line. Once the doors opened people were walking past us and jumping the line. It took 30 minutes or more to get in and then we went to club level where the seats were and ended up waiting outside of section 210 for about 40 minutes until they opened the curtains to let us in. Then the curtains on either side of us were opened before our line so the seats were filled before we could even get down the steps. We had to go back up and search out 4 seats together. Very disorganized mess. The performances were awesome when they finally got around to them but it was often 15 minutes or longer between performances leaving the audience with Storm who ran out of bad jokes and had to ask the audience to send him some. There were many delays due to sound equipment and other equipment problems. The first hour they had performed the finale 3 times. The show taping was suppose to end at 9:30 but by 9:00 there had only been about 4 performances with many more to perform. We left at 11:00 and there were still more performances we did not get to see. It was not all what I expected and seemed unrehearsed and disorganized. Next year I will save my money and watch it on television.

It sounded like a great idea, but we were very disappointed. Why is it general admission??? We were pushed and yelled at like cattle. It took 45 min to get 2 songs taped, It was a great line up and Jennifer is a great host, but if you have to wait 10-15 min in between songs it is hard to get into the christmas spirit. We left "early" at 11 pm, as did a lot of other people. The live taping just takes too long. I am looking forward to seeing it on TV

The event was chaotic and not well planned. Had to leave at ten and only got to see a few individual acts. Hopeing to be in the Christmas spirit after we left, but just tense. Kids were bored and didn't have the patience to sit still. Also, when we got there at 7, still not letting us sit down. Everyone was running into each other and very irritable. Making statements about how unorganized the event was. Was interesting to see the process of filming for television. And, to get a chance to see the country singers for a bit.

Never been to a live taping such as this before. It was a hoot to watch and be involved with. Show airs on TV 12/1/2014 according to the host Stormy Warren. Seeing the re-takes was kind of unusual but I completely understand why they do it.

I had read reviews before buying tickets to the CMA Christmas show. All were a very mixed bag ranging from hating it to raving about it. I decided to get the tickets as a 24th anniversary gift for my wife. If you are reading the reviews to determine if you would wish to attend the CMA Christmas, I have a very short quiz for you. 1) Do you love Christmas and Christmas music? 2) Do you love country music and "A" list country talent? If you answered yes to both of these questions, you will love this event. Keep in mind that this is a TV taping so it will not flow like a concert that you may normally attend. With that being said, the whole event ran very smoothly and there was very little down time between songs with the average gap being 5 minutes or so. Storme Warren kept the crowd warmed up in between songs and the evening seemed to pass very quickly even though the show was not over until around 11:00. The performances were fantastic and a few had to be re-shot. That was not an issue as all were songs that we enjoyed and were very happy to hear them again. If you have a young child, they may get tired due the late hour finish. In short, I would HIGHLY recommend this event if you like Christmas and County. It will surely get you ready for the Christmas season! I now look forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary next year at the CMA Country Christmas.

Had a great night at the live taping. Definitely went in not expecting a start to finish show. Expected the starts and stops and the possible repeats of certain stars. It was a star-studded night that was a very fun filled for me and my family. Wouldn't recommend it for kids under 13. Because it becomes a late night. We all laughed,we all smiled and we all got a little taste of Christmas.

I would definitely go to this again. All the acts were great. Have never been to a taping of any sort of show before so getting to see how things work behind the scenes was pretty neat in my book. Lasted over 3 hours. Jennifer Nettles and Stormy Warren did a great job of keeping everybody entertained between sets. Sat in section 305, sound was great but view was lacking. There were only too small projection screens on each side of the stage. Had they turned on the scoreboard screens it would have made all the difference in the world.

Show was amazing. Paisley and Tyler were the best. First time in Nashville and would definitely come back again next year for this show! The parts between taping when the host is just "chatting" with us should be puy on the big screens so the theater can see the activities and kids signing on the floor seats.

If you have never been to a live taping of a show, then this is the one to attend. In addition to seeing an incredible lineup of talent (country, rock and pop), you get to see how a mega-show is put together. And if you can do all of this with the spirit of Christmas thrown in for free, then you cannot help but realize that this is one of the truly great experiences thatyou can have. If you have time to get to Nashville in November, look for the dates and make sure you attend.

My friend and I love country music and thought the Country Christmas concert sounded like fun. How could it not be, considering all the amazing talent they had lined up. We weren't disappointed! It was funny to watch how they do TV shows - most acts had to repeat their performances, which was pretty awesome for all of us. I would recommend getting tickets - it was Christmas in November, which started the holiday season off right.

I have been to all 4 of these tapings. The first year was free to those who attended the CMA's- since then the price has risen each year. This was the worst of the 4 - would like to see the artists singing better songs - more traditional, but not necessarily faith based. Was really looking forward to Jake Owen and he sang a silly hawaian song - although he did it well - wasn't what I wanted! Rascal Flatts, Trace and Luke Bryan all great - Kelly Pickler always good fun - someone should give her her own show Similarly - don't need to see Mary J Blige - definately not a country artist promoting her christmas album

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed being at the taping of ABC's CMA Country Christmas on November 8th at the beautiful Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Jennifer Nettles looked great, and her singing was absolutely wonderful. She made a fine host for this show. I have never seen Darius Rucker perform before, but my wife Debbie has, and she told me that he "stoled" the show at a concert she went to last year. She was right, I was really impressed with Darius Rucker's singing. The producer of this show was obviously a perfectionist. Every singer with the exception of Lady Antabellum had to redo their performance. All in all, the concert was absolutely wonderful, and I am so grateful to have been there with my wife Debbie at the taping of fine show.

I really enjoyed the CMA Country Christmas show! It ran really long because some of the artists had to do their songs twice for sound and technical issues, but it was nice to hear some of them twice. It was cool to experience the TV recording process as well. The only thing negative I have to say is that the tickets were quite expensive given it was a TV recording and not technically a concert. And when I tried to get floor level seats it said they were sold out but there were a ridiculous amount of empty seats.

I expected a Christmas Concert that was taped for later replay on TV but instead we were just a part of the studio audience. Bravo to CMA for getting people to actually pay to come in and clap on queue but this was not a concert. The entire event was focused on the television taping. Many of the performances were done twice for the taping and stopped during for "technical difficulties". I won't be going back to this one.

My friends & I really enjoyed going to the 2012 CMA Country Christmas. The line-up was great & the program ran smoothly, having audience participation in between sets. There were some retakes, but the crowd seemed to love getting to hear some of the stars a second time. I have attended CMA Country Christmas for the last three years. This was the best year. They had artists performing for the first time on the special and a wide variety of new holiday music. Seeing this film for later broadcast is a treat. Many times songs are performed again for better visual or audio quality. There's great banter and interaction between the stars (and sometimes the audience) when the camera isn't "on". They kept adding surprises this year and I was thrilled with the end result. A good 3+ hours, so be prepared to sit and people-watch between performances. Have always been floor or lower bowl till this year. Had upperdeck and still a great experience.

I went last year, and thought it was much better than the one this year in 2014. It seems each year the "country" Christmas ends up being more like "rock" or "pop" Christmas. My family of 5 came to see nice pretty country songs, not all the jazzed up rockabilly type music. We'd like to see more traditional Christmas songs sang by the stars. We'd also like to see more older country stars. Alan Jackson was awesome, but he was the only older star there. The rest are brand newbies that we've barely heard of. A better of mix of old and new would be better. Things did run smoother this year, as only a few acts had to perform twice. Sometimes it's good to hear the song twice, if it's slow and pretty! Having to sit though the rocky songs twice was more of a chore than fun. I may not go again. I'll have to see the lineup ahead of time before I get tickets next year.

Overall great event! Enjoyed the guest line-up, and the song selection was very good. This was our first time being part of a performance taped for television - very interesting how it came together. I have attended the CMA Country Christmas taping for the past 3 years and I have loved every minute of it. I am hoping I can make it to this show every year as I really do enjoy it.

2014 CMA County Christmas was a blast! So fun to be part of a television production. LeAnn Rimes absolutely nailed Carol of the Bells - both times she sang it. Great way to get into the holiday spirit - a little early! We are planning our December 1st viewing party!

Jennifer Nettles demonstrated genuine enthusiasm which created Holiday Spirit. The performances were incredible especially Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Jennifer Nettles, LeAnn Rimes and Idina Menzel. The sets were beautiful and the acostics were outstanding. I can't wait until next year

This is my second year attending the event & it's always so enjoyable & really gets you in the Christmas spirit! It's such a great variety of artists for the ticket price that no one should be disappointed!

The acts playing were beyond talented and a pleasure to watch perform. However, everything was done for tv and they didn't really care about the fans. Storme Warren did an amazing job engaging with the crowd in the blank spaces of time. I would recommend this event just be aware that they can redo songs up to three times before getting it right for tv purposes.

The CMA Country Christmas event was a disappointment. The entire event was centered around a successful taping for a future broadcast. Stormee attempted to entertain us during downtime during production resets. One of the highlights was the magician. So unless you want to watch the event multiple times during a single seating as you virtually watched every artist have multiple do overs excluding, Trace Adkins.

The concert was so fun. It was cool to see how a concert meant for tv gets filmed. All of the artist were so good! Trace Adkins was the best by far .....although my daughter would say Luke Bryan !!! My family and I will definitely come back next year!

This was my second year attending the filming of Country Christmas. It was again a unique experience to see this ABC special being filmed. Great lineup this year and always love host, Jennifer Nettles. Was very impressed that attendants held participants from constantly moving in seats while performances occurred. That didn't happen last year, but made it an even better experience this year.

What a great opportunity to be a part of an amazing taping. It was really enjoyable to see the artists in more of a relaxed environment. What a wonderful experience!!

We really enjoyed wating the taping of this event. Although is was 4 hours long due to repeating several performances for TV, it ws well worth watching so many Country Stars

We had a great time! We had never been to a live tapping so it was different but very enjoyable! The artist made it fun in between take and the entertainment was very considerate. It would have been a little slow if not for the extra for the crowd between takes. Overall it was great! The artist were great! It was a treat getting to hear a few of the songs twice. Can't wait to watch it on Tv.

Mary J Blige is good, but not country. Most songs were not traditional country. Disappointed! I did not know it was not a country show. It was a tapping. Most unprofessional.

I treated my son's and his friends to this show for his 16th birthday! It was so interesting for them to see how the taping of a show is put on for television. They got to see a lot of stars for the price! They loved the magician that did acts between sets...amazing!

I wanted to love it. Heck, I even was willing to just like it.....but it was impossible. Sitting in the nose bleed section, was not the "bad" part. The bad part was the music. Almost every artist sang a non traditional song. Maybe they were trying to keep the music up tempo, but it was awful. Making the "bad" worse was the fact that almost every song was sung twice (this was a taping after all). I went to the first CMS Country Christmas and loved it. I left this one before it was over when a guy from Duck Dynasty sang a song and he sang worse than me. 3 hours of my life gone.

Beautiful sets…Great artists and song choice. Downside: we bought tickets to see and listen to Counry Christmas…not a magician. He was very good but after every set it got a bit much… Plus it was a LONG taping…didn't leave until 11 pm…and the show didn't start at 7:30 as stated…magician came on…show didn't start til about 7:50 Lastly, I received at least FOUR emails stating No white…wear dark/holiday…or could be asked to move…we sat in lower bowl in our festive Red yet the floor people who will be on TV were 3/4 in light or white tops…and when seat fillers were needed…there were people that looked like they walked off the street. The ushers could have been told to funnel those attending and wearing Holiday attire be put up front.

This was our first time to attend the taping of the show, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We started with dinner at the Patron Platinum Club which was awesome and then went right upstairs to great seats in Section 118. The performers were all wonderful, including the magician between sets. The taping ran a little long but we stayed to the end and the beautiful Christmas sets and music really helps get you in the mood to get out your Christmas cards and shop for gifts.
