The Staten Island Yankees game experience starts with the ferry ride from Manhattan. The cool breeze on a summer day and the city view and the Statue of Liberty On arrival it's a roast beef sandwich on whole wheat bread and sprite at Subway. Ball park admission included a promotion "vote for the canidate" choice of red or blue stars and stripes baseball cap. During the game there were fans participation fun activities between innings. It was a great game with a tie score up to the 7th inning when the Yankees took the winning lead. A spectacular fireworks followed. The night time ferry ride back to Manhattan was highlighted by the lighted Statue of Liberty and the breath taking view of the NY sky scrappers. Memorable Staten Island Yankees game experience.

We (Dutch family of 4 persons) visited the game as part of our city trip to New York. In general: It was an overall awesome experience!!! Nice atmosphere during the whole event, good food and drinks. ....One minor item to mention: The Staten Island Yankees lost the game (you can not have all)... Anyway: Great Great Great experience!

The game was very exciting. The ballpark is beautiful. Any seat is great. They put on shows for the kids in between innings. The ballpark has an entertainment center of balloon rides for kids if they get bored of sitting. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I went with a 2 year old, and while he did not sit the entire time, he was entertained for most of the time. I was amazed to see lots of other toddlers at the stadium. Definitely fun for both kids and adults.

Having fun in the sun, watching baseball and having the NYC skyline in the background - what more could you ask of one lovely, sunny Sunday afternoon? That the team would win? Well, yes they did. This is a great way to introduce younger children to baseball. The stadium is comfortable and pleasing and one of the best little extras is that they allow the children to run the bases after the game.

The SI Ferry leads to an easy walk to a wonderful minor league ball park along the harbor with magnificent views of Manhattan and Jersey City. Stroll over to the September 11 Memorial, which frames lower Manhattan, for an opportunity to remember what should never be forgottan. Then enter the family-centered ballpark and enjoy baseball! The double headers were played quickly by players developing their skills and abilities. There was more impressive pitching than hitting but the games were competetive, interesting, and well-played. The vendor prices were reasonable and allow an entire family of four a night out for less than $100! After the game, a magnificent fireworks display was choreographed to modern patriotic music! Patrons then had an easy stroll back to the SI Ferry or to their $6 parking spot at one of the two large lots adjacent to the ballpark! It's not the major leagues but that may actually be what makes this such a jewel!

The Ballpark at Saint George is a nice facility with good amenities. Keyspan Park is one notch abve. Parking at the Ballpark at Saint George is not fan friendly on a Friday night.

From the minute we arrived to the time we left, this park was a delight! The location is amazing (the city views are priceless), a wonderful summer breeze blew in across the water, there wasn't a bad seat in the stadium, the food was standard ballpark fare but affordable, the between-innings entertainment was sweet (wonderful minor league kitsch), the crowd was engaged, the staff was attentive, the closing fireworks were a terrific bonus and oh, the baseball was fun albeit "minor league". Even with the long drive on the Belt we can't wait to do it again!

Went with two friends visiting from Europe. Great seats right behind home plate cost a tenth of what the MLB millionaires would have us pay elsewhere in the city. The playing was good and the atmosphere "American" in the best sense of the word: friendly, enthusiastic staff and spectators, a very nice and orderly stadium, beautiful singing of God bless America by an 8-year-old. Adnd a sepctacular fireworks display upon its conclusion. Add the ride on the Staten Island ferry and you have a near-perfect moment!

I live on staten island but I grew up in Brooklyn so naturally I rooted for the Cyclones. Im also a Mets fan. The Cyclones were getting killed 5-0 yet only 3 innings went by. But the Cyclones regrouped and as the next 6 innings passed, they caught up little by little to eventually win 7-5. I love to see the underdog beat the favorite. I cant stand the yankees organization. LETS GO CYCLONES! LETS GO METS!

Friendly family environment. The kids love being so close to the players, players were friendly and responsive to the kids. The stadium crew selected my 8yo son and I to participate with an on field gaming event between the innings which he loved and will not soon forget. After game fireworks were nice bonus. Only negative- wasn't told about parking situation. Had very difficult time trying to park. I understand the garage will be opens shortly

the parking for this stadium has been drastically reduced due to construction. there is no mention of this on the S.I.Yankees website. We arrived to park in the usual parking lot 20 mins before the game only to find these lots were closed. There was a sign instructing people to park at another location which was about 1 mile away. We finally found parking in one of the muni lots associated with the S.I. Ferry. I am disabled and the walk from the parking lot to the stadium proved to be too much for me. We arrived at the game to see the end of the 3rd inning and my foot and ankle so swollen I was uncomfortable for the remainder of the night. At the end of the game while I waited for my husband to come back with the car there were 2 gentlemen announcing they were the shuttle drivers for the mile away parking lot. No advertisement nor mention of this service through any part of the game.

Not a bad day at the ballpark for the price. The concession stands and concourse could use an upgrade compared to ther ball parks. View of the skyline in center field woulda been nice but it was too cloudy this day. Overall, I'd make another trip here.

The food was tasteless. The tickets were more expensive than the Trenton Thunder. The parking or should I say what parking does not exist. We had to park 4 blocks up a very steep hill. No roster of players on either team.

Game started late due to a double header, unable to see the fireworks due to extra innings, but the weather was beautiful as well as the seats on the opposing team side. The kids and adults loved it and of course, we will go again! Not our first time there, we have recommended this venue before and worth the trip and visit while in NYC. Plus, the ferry ride is FREE with a great view as well as the ballpark.

This is a great ballpark with terrific views of the game, harbor and the ferry traffic. The fireworks were a plus. It is a worthwhile experience overall. Here are the problems. There is no parking anywhere near the stadium and the food lines are crazy long and disorganized. The parking is not the fault of the team but it is a major problem. The food delivery was a surprise -- I hope they get their act together later in the season. Still a good place to take the family that could be great.

Game was great View is fantastic Stadium is small and friendly Concession stands and food service were appalling: 30 minutes wait in line for a hamburger (six innings into the game) My son gave up on the Nacho line after 25 minutes Hot Dog line was over 30 minutes and the staff were unable to give change Express Beer line took over 20 minutes to get served PLEASE EAT BEFORE YOU GET THERE and get beer from the walking vendors

The Staten Island Yankees (NY Yankees short season "A" team) play at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. It is one of the most beautiful views to watch a ballgame. As you watch the game, Brooklyn is to the right, Manhattan in the center, New Jersey to the left. Tankers, freighters, tugboats, and the Staten Island Ferry sail by the outfield all during the game. Plus, you get to see tomorrow's NY Yankees stars today : Cano, Wang, & Gardner all got their start there. The night I went was a doubleheader so free baseball. Unfortunately, their food options need to be upgraded. Mostly just standard ballpark fare, but my cheeseburger was under the warming lights too long, and the "beans & bacon" purchased at a different location was thick as glue.

The ballpark has incredible views, and is lovely in and of itself. All kinds of good food. This was a brilliant promotion - George R. R. Martin of A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones was there, signing autographs and raising money for a wolf sanctuary. The teams wore special uniforms and there were various GoT-themed events. A good time was had.

Love coming to this park. Unfortunately, I could not stay for entire game. Wish the Sunday games began earlier. A surprise that this game was part of Blue Lives Matter. Wonderful as I am retired from the job. Highly recommend a visit. Watching baseball and the ships passing by. A great way to spend a Sunday.

This night was the perfect evening for all Game of Thrones fans, and a great night for baseball fans as well. Between the funny sound cues, the on field entertainment, the appearance by George R.R. Martin and his wolf, and the giveaways to the fans, it was one of the best nights of 2015. The reason I only give it 4 stars has nothing to do with the event itself, but how the crowd was managed. I, along with my group of friends, waited online for 3-4 hours prior to the gates opening, as did hundreds of others. When the time came to open the gates, they did not honor the line, and opened up a second line for people who just got there. It did not effect me getting the gate giveaways, but it did prevent me from receiving an autograph from Mr. Martin. It was very disappointing and unfair to the fans who put the time in to wait. If they repeat this evening again, they need to be better prepared to handle the volume of people who love Game of Thrones and organize the lines better.

Missed two innings of baseball just trying to get kids some pizza,incredibly mismanaged concessions staff. Concession stand next to seats was closed for some reason. People on lines were frustrated. Ballpark did not open until one hour before game which caused a line to wrap all the way back to the ferry. Unable to see batting practice waited to enter stadium for over an hour. On whole spent over 2+ hours waiting on lines.

Let me start off by saying there is no point to even state that I am an avid Game of Thrones enthusiast, because EVERY single person that attended this event was. The weather was absolutely perfect, with a slight chill in the air (-winter is coming). Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to meet the great George RR Martin, nor did I get the complimentary hat and books. My boyfriend and I got on the line to enter the stadium at 5:15 pm and it still baffles me that 2,500 people entered the stadium before us, as we only waited on the line about 20 minutes. Pre-event it was stated that the first 2,500 people would receive the hats. But alas, I digress, the event was an excellent night filled with food, beer, Game of Thrones enthusiasm, and, oh yeah, an ARCTIC WOLF named Flurry, who decided when nature calls, he must oblige. Being a huge animal lover, I really hold in high regard the fact that the proceeds of this event went to the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary, and I'm sure a vast majority of other donations were received. He may kill a lot of Starks, but I certainly admire George RR Martin for using his fame to raise awareness for what he feels so strongly about.

First time catching a Staten Island Yankees game and it was a great experience. Tickets are overall an excellent value for the price. My tickets were for the Game of Thrones themed "Meet George R.R. Martin Night" and I loved how the ballpark and the teams incorporated GoT into so many different elements of the game. Really fun time.

Great Minor League baseball at a great price. If you haven't been to a Staten Island Yankees game, it is worth the visit. I got a great seat by the home dugout for $20. Not only seeing the game up close, but the view of the Manhattan skyline plus the Staten Island Ferry has to be the best view in baseball. There weren't many fans at the game, it did make it more intimate. The short season is almost at an end, and the Yankees are in last place sorry to say. They are a short season single A team, so check their schedule.

The game of thrones theme night was fabulously organized. There were so many theme oriented elements, music, the guests, the giveaways, the games. A family fun night for all. My only complaint was the lines were confusing. I waited so long in line and I came two hours early. Then people I knew came after me and got to the gate quicker than I did. The place was packed so concessions were crazy. They could have used a few more staff to help out. Best fireworks display ever. Wonderful night overall and great memory.

I bought tickets to the Staten Island Yankees vs. the Brooklyn Cyclones because I had never been to a minor league game, it was the All Star break for MLB and I thought it would be cool to see the Mets vs. Yankees rivalry with a friend who is a Mets fan because I root for the Yankees. First and foremost, I was impressed with the stadium. It is a beautiful ballpark with a magnificent view of the Freedom Tower and the NY skyline of lower Manhattan. Also, it is easily accessible from the Staten Island ferry. Lastly, it was extremely affordable for front row seats right behind home plate. I will definitely include the Staten Island Yankees in my future travel plans when visiting NY.

Wonderful facility with a great view of lower Manhattan. Friendly staff at the Clubhouse Shop and concessions Free Sundae Foursquare announcement caused a waste of a full inning as they did not disclose that it was capped at 25 users who received the appropriate Foursquare badge so there were plenty of people (including myself) arguing with the hapless staff about not receiving our sundaes. #SIYankees Fail The announcer took the time to announce all of the groups in the audience but of course was prone to mispronouncing many of the groups. "Douche Bank" for Detusche Bank caused many in my section to turn around and look at each other and say "Did he really say Douche Bank?" Enjoyed Scooter The Holy Cow (mascot) and the very young and energetic cheer squad to keep things fun in between innings Game could have been considered a pitchers duel as it went scoreless into 12 innings, so everyone essentially left at that time to catch the ferry back to Manhattan. I would attribute the lack of scoring to the lack of batting talent and experience for this single A level.

I love watching baseball, at any level, in any park. This was my first 'A'-level minor league game. Though the on-field play was a little rough at times, we had a great time. Great park, with views and easy access via the free Staten Island Ferry from Manhattan.

Ballpark is beautiful. Consessions & bathrooms were close. Almost as nice as MCU park. Parking was a little bit of a hassle, parking lot # 1 was full. Had a great time, especially because the Cyclones won!

So easy to get to, an exciting ride on the SI Ferry, cold beer and snacks on the ride there. The Ferry lets you off 50 yards from the entrance to the "jones beach" type stadium for the SI Yankees. Your background view is the skyline of Manhattan\u2026.NICE\u2026...We sat right behind home plate~never done that! They have raffles and games, cheerleaders, all children 12 & under get to run the bases after the game, they had fireworks at the end, a hot dog was only 2 bucks, they also offer a ticket with all you can eat accommodations\u2026.the tickets were so cheap i would recommend this to any one who wants to have some summer time fun. thanks for reading

I grew up in SI and part of this trip was a chance to see SI again. We also got a chance to see the 9/11 Memorial which is right next to the Ball Park. The Richmond County Bank Ballpark is in a great setting- there is an outstanding view of NY harbor. Parking was easy and there were no lines to get in or for the purchase of food or the restrooms. The SI Yankees provided enjoyable entertainment between innings and fireworks. Unfortunately, my team lost but I'm still glad I got to experience this event!

Let's face it, you go to the game to do exactly that "Watch the Game" everything including the concessions and so forth should be to enhance your enjoyment of the event. My buddy and I both in our mid 50's found the price of beer way out of whack. $6 for domestic $7 for imported. I love Bud but was not available, So I had to settle for Corona at $7 a beer. My next issue was still no "Smoking Section" I've been going to this ball park from the day it opened with no where to smoke. Last year at a Cyclones/Yanks game at Keyspan in Brooklyn they had an area inside the ball park where you can light up. In any event we did enjoy the game and all the pomp between innings.

Great baseball mixed in with a lot of fun for all ages. Just about a two minute's walk from the St. George terminal, the ballpark is easy to get to and makes a great (and cheaper) alternative to the big club. Between-inning entertainment keeps the kids happy and makes sure that their is always something to do. Concessions prices aren't cheap, but they aren't that bad (fries $3.75, medium drink $3.75, cracker jack $4, etc).

there is nothing like going to Staten Island for a Staten Island Yankees game on a beautiful night. It is like a time-warp to another era, when things were innocent and good clean fun was the norm. Usually I see local minor league ballgames at MCU Park in Coney Island. For the first time, we chose to explore Richmond Park on Staten Island and will definitely return again. It draws a more serious baseball crowd, calmer atmosphere (versus Coney Island), and the fireworks were much more impressive. I still love my Brooklyn Cyclones and will see them play a home again, but I will also incorporate more Yankee home games especially for their post-game fireworks. Getting to Richmond Park Stadium was a much easier, more interesting, and smoother commute for me considering I live in Jersey City NJ. The Staten Island Ferry really makes it hassle-free and accessible. Last but not least, I was pleasantly surprised to have access to Yankee players before the game for autographs.

We went to our first game this past August. Phenomenal! Then we went to another one the following week, then another, and then another! We're hooked! Our boys love the stadium, the food, the great environment, and of course, the Staten Island Yankees! The park is beautiful, clean, and the staff is in incredibly friendly, and helpful too! Just a first class operation...I have season tixs to the big boys and had never been here...If in NYC it is well worth it...Free ferry ride over and the ball park is right there when you get off the ferry...VERY convinient ...

I took two of my grandchildren to the SI Yankees vs Auburn Doubledays game. We had an incredible time. Our seats were two rows behind the visiting dougout giving us a view of the game we couldn't get at any major league ballpark. Beacause of the proximity to the field the kids had a a real personal connection with the players. Great value for the buck!

The game against the Jammers was awesome. Tied at 7 and SI Yanks score in bottom of the ninth to win. The stadium has a real homey feel and all seats are awesome. It is a great family event, tickets, food, souveniers cost less than $100 for a family of 4.

I had a great night with my son and father. We rode the Staten Island Ferry and walked a VERY short distance to the stadium. We were able to have hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts AND cotton candy. Everything is very affordable. It makes it a doable event for single parents like myself. We were even on the big screen!

Game was kind of boring but the yanks won , the ballpark is what it is.its clean and seems well ran. I'd go back, the food was nice .. the people working there seemed to enjoy being there... didn't expect much but the ballpark is right near the water with the city in sight and the statue of liberty .. and boats going by the park .. fun times.

I know it was finger food in VIP section but for small crowd, should not have run out of any items. Also, too many moderator questions and not enough questions from the crowd. Maybe give a chance to submit questions in advance and the moderator can pick some to go with. Nobody who had a question in the middle of the theater in VIP section got to ask a question yet we were the VIP section! Drop the all there guys.

First off, I paid way too much money for these tickets to the George RR Martin ball game and very disappointed that I paid twice the money than a regular game for a game that was just themed. I bought them for my boyfriend who is a huge fan. I planned out the whole day so he can at least get a hat. We arrived 2 hours early and waited in line. By the time we got to the front all the wrist bands to meet him were gone and so were the hats. It would have been less upset until we saw a man leave the line with a stack of 10... 10 hats, walk across the street to his car and leave. Another couple got hats for their whole family that didn't attend. They didnt have merchandise to buy and we watched them toss a hand full of tee shirts to one section. My suggestion is if they are going to double and triple the ticket price to an event that they knew would be sold out to at least include everyone who unfortunately didn't make the cut off with a sticker or something. The people behind me on line drove 4 hours and were in the same situation. It was a big disappointment and rip off.

GRRM Night at the Ballpark at St. George was done very well by the home team Staten Islanders. There were great giveaways (2 novels and a hat) and great between innings entertainment, as well as a great fireworks display after the game. The only quibble I have was that the queue for meeting George Martin for autographs before the game was somewhat haphazard and not handled very well, with a second line being formed inside the gates to get a limited # of bracelets to reach the autograph area. Otherwise, everything was great!

This place was miserable. Absolutely miserable. There are approx. 3 places to get food and drink and each had a line that took over an hour to reach the front. Seriously. I waited for at least 2 innings before I even made a dent in the line. Looked around...and went home. Not to mention a 30 min. cattle-call on the ferry to get there and back. Don't waste your time.

Its a beautiful stadium a great night out for a family. The ticjets are all great seats, foods a little pricey but thats to be expected. I parked on the street but there are 3 parking lots that are very reasonably priced. Stadium staff are very friendly although their cheer squad and mc r a bit on the boring side.

The venue, RCSB Park, was DISGUSTING! It was dirty and we had to wipe off our seats before we sat down (Section 11, row 3). It appeared the place had been "hosed down" but much of the paper trash was not picked up before the hosing. There were 5 in my group, wife, adult daughter and friends and all felt the same way. We had little appetite as we felt like we were sitting inside of a garbage can. I've been to many minor league ball parks and this place was a disgrace to the Yankee name! The 5 minute fireworks show was a joke too. We attended a Somerset Patriots game recently and the park was immaculate and the fireworks show was over 20 minutes. Do the Yankees realize how poorly they look with this place bearing their name? i was ashamed to be a Staten Islander and a Yankee fan.

My seats were in a giant puddle behind the home dugout. It rained 10:00 am the day of the game and the employees of Richmond County Bank Ballpark never swept away the puddle before game time. When asking someone who worked there about getting it cleaned up with the other garbage that was left behind from a previous event, I got the old "I'll get someone" and no one ever came back.

The positives were friendly staff, fun game, terrific between inning contests, dancing, etc. Food was well prepared. Great view of lower Manhattan from the park, and loved that the park is only a block from the Staten Island Ferry. A couple of negatives - The seats in Section 13 were not clean when we sat down. Looked like bits of paper were stuck to the seats. Water pressure in the bathroom seemed to be a problem in the late innings.

The Brooklyn Cyclones played against the Staten Island Yankees and the Cyclones played good. Brooklyn jumped out to a 4-0 lead early in the game. Staten Island came back in the game to cut the deficit to 4-3. But then the Cyclones pitching controlled the rest of the game and Brooklyn beat Staten Island by the score of 4-3.

We had a blast taking the ferry (FREE!) to the game. It was a super easy walk to the stadium and we were able to get our seats easily and quickly. The stadium is a manageable size and had much cheaper food and drinks than I'm used to at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx. Overall we had a great time. Zero hassle.

It was a really well played game. Unfortunately, it seemed the support staff was in short supply. The concession lines were horrendous. I waited 40 minutes just for drinks. I realize the parking is handled by a private vendor, but that too was not handled well. There was no organization and poor communication. We come to the stadium every July 4th. It's usually a terrific experience. We hope the new management will make the necessary adjustments

First TicketMaster was great about exchanging tickets that I bought for the wrong evening. Second, the game was fun! The venue is a few steps from the free Staten Island Ferry. The view is insanely beautiful although the Yanks should take down an unused black billboard that obstructs the view. The game was cozy. They do raffles at the game - it feels like a hometown event! The team lost (sigh) but in every way the evening was enjoyable.

A free Staten Island Ferry ride from Battery Park, this stadium is modern, clean and offers a wide assortment of food options. The seats provide admirable views of the NY Skyline and of the fireworks on the East River, Hudson and from Jersey City although far away. The stadium fireworks and music accompaniment was pretty darn good too.

My wife and I enjoyed game and fireworks, due to parking debacle we will NOT be attending another game. I waited 45 minutes to get my car, Poor lighting, no organization with attendants retrieving vehicles, took tickets from anyone who handed them a ticket, did not go to front of line. Too bad we do enjoy the games, until they improve on parking system, we will not go back Walter
