Juan Gabriel

In 2013, Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame inductee Juan Gabriel celebrated four decades of recording with a 40th anniversary tour, starting in Mexico City's monumental National Auditorium and continuing throughout Central and South America. Gabriel is deeply patriotic and has a profound love for his home country’s music in all its forms: pop, bolero, mariachi and regional Mexican music. It’s no wonder that his 2012 album, a compilation of some of his greatest hits released to coincide with the anniversary, is titled "Celebrando (Let’s Celebrate)." His concerts remain one of the hottest tickets in town, with monumental two-and-a-half-hour sets featuring an extravagant 30-member band backing him and an ambitious setlist including songs from his whole career, up to and including his most recent single, "Por Que Me Haces Llorar?"Before Gabriel was “the divo of Juarez,” he was a poor orphan on the streets of Juarez.

He will be missed. P.S. The Forum needs to prepare and better handle the traffic situation, I have friends that were over an hour late due to closed streets and gridlock.

I had always heard Juan Gabriel put on an amazing show and was super excited when my husband brought the tickets. Juan GAbriel did not dissapoint. The entire concert was amazing. He's such a great entertainer and his bands (mariachi & regular) are great. So amazing he doesn't need an opening act. He did start the concert a little late but once it got started it was definitely worth the wait. Would love to see him again

From the moment he stepped on the stage to the very last wave goodbye, Juan Gabriel gave a heartwarming and powerful performance that will live on forever. His unwavering energy was impressive--he sang the whole night (2 1/1 hours to be exact) nonstop! Very commendable and inspiring! I bought tickets to his show as a gift to my mom for her bday, and needless to day, this day will go down as one of her favorites. We are very saddened to know that Juan Gabriel passed away right after but very fortunate and blessed to know that he shared his last moments with us...with his publico (audience). As I type this review, tears fall from my eyes. Mexico and the rest of the world has lost an icon. Being part of his last show was more than an honor, it was History. Juan Gabriel, or better know as JuanGa to his devoted fans, gave you his last breath in every performance...he never disappointed - he knew how to please the crowd regardless how he felt inside. From the moment he stepped on the stage, an unexplainable magical feeling surrounded The Forum. As the show continued, you can see how he was hurting physically, but his eyes told a different story. Those eyes, heart and soul wanted to give the fans what only he knew to give - magic. To Juan Gabriel the show must go, and for the next, almost 3 hours, he brought IT. His fans knew they experienced something out of this world.

I grew up listening to Juan Gabriel so I knew all his songs but I had never seen him in concert and boy am I glad I did. He was 15 minutes short of singing for 4 hours straight!! The most fun I've had going out, ever! I have loved Juan Gabriel since I was a child and grew up with his music. Seeing him and being able to sit so close to the stage was the best $200 dollars that I've ever spent! Those 4 hours at his concert were so much fun and made me forget of everything else and just enjoy the show! He sang all of his classics and changed them up just enough to still hit those beautiful and unique notes like only Juam Gabriel can do! I love him and I'm glad I took pictures and videos to always look back on this night!! My first convert as an adult (I'm 31) and in definitely DID NOT disappoint :)

Juan Gabriel was great. He merged his favorite songs with new singers. Like La India, Zona Priera and others. He added some humor and displayed pictures of himself as a young boy and with other Latino stars. It was Amazing!!!! The only thing I wasn't happy with were the seats and the poor television sets.

This was my first time seeing Juan Gabriel live in concert!! Expectation was great and he just surpassed it. He delived a great show and the forum was alive during the entire event! One thing that was unexpected was my seats were obstructed view!! Normally this eould be noted at the time when I buy the tickets and then it's my choice to buy them or not. Everything else was just great.. I LOVED the show and enjoyed the happy hour. Keep in mind these photos are zoomed the most I could with an iphone 6 plus. So you are not really that CLOSE!! The photos uploaded show the speaker hanging from the top. The artist is on our side of the stage but when he was in the center other side you couldn't see him.

An absolutely amazing show and words will not describe this performance. I saw him at the Gibson Amiptheater back in 2005 and he only gets better with time. The choreography and the audience interaction\\integration was excellent. The sound at Pepsi Center Denver was LOUD (in a very good way) and you could feel every bass thump from 7th row floor center which I did not expect from arena sound...great work to the sound engineers for producing this great audio. My only complaint was that the floor seating (typical WWF steel chairs) at Pepsi Center Denver was complete uncomfortable hell but at least I got a chance to get friendly with the chubby but very hot lady seated beside me - unfortunately she was married though which made for a somewhat uncomfortable evening. Anyway, do not hesitate to spend your money to take in his show. I drove about 1000 miles to Denver and back and I'd do it again to see him.

Juan Gabriel, One of the Most Talented Mexican Artists Who Ever Existed, Performed For His Last Audience On Friday Aug 26th. It was a good performance. He did take a seat often as he walked his stage and rested at every corner. We were blessed to have been able to be part of his final performance on this day. He has left us with much to remember him by and enjoy.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents and grandmother that attended this show. They said it was 2+ hours of his jams. The venue was packed and everyone was dancing and having a great time. He had a lot of dancers and the mariachi was even dancing. They loved seeing him live for the first time, but unfortunately it turned out to be his last show before passing away.
