"This was one of those shows, you wished would not end!" I looked at all the faces in the room before the band took the stage. Everyone was smiling and eager to "ROCK OUT" with this band that is making its' mark worldwide! Lights went down and a voice from the heavens boomed over the pa cabinets. The crowd erupted and Punky with band took to the stage opening with a classic ANGEL song "Rock And Rollers"! The setlist consisted of alot of great cuts from the Punky Meadows - Fallen Angel cd. It also was sprinkled throughout with Angel gems! I remember one in particular, " Wild & Hot" that had many singing including myself! Punky was playing his guitar with that "Rock N' Roll" stance / attitude that we as Angel fans have loved since the mid 70's! Lead singer Chandler Mogel served up that classic rock / soulful sounding voice! Danny Farrow played rhythm guitar and sang "Leavin Tonight" off the Fallen Angel cd. He also co-wrote with Punky on that fantastic cd. Keyboardist Charlie Calv weaved some majestic notes throught the set. Bob Pantella ( of Monster Magnet ) on the drums was the engine in the back! He kept the band "running on all cylinders"! Keith Roth played bass with original bass player Felix Robinson of Angel stepping in for a few songs. Felix had surgery a short time ago but you would never know. He gave us that "thunder"! Can't forget those girls singing backup! Amy Andersen and Barbara Serbes were singing sweet harmonies and dancing up a storm! This band sounded tight and gave everyone what they had expected! A "Rock and Roll Party"!!! Punky is back and "WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE"!!!

My youth as well as many others this night was revisited! I have been to many great concerts over the years and this one is at the "top of list"!! Punky and his band were playing songs from the new cd "Fallen Angel" as well as some ANGEL classics. The band sounded really tight, right from the opening song "The Price You Pay". Chandler Mogel had an almost "soulful bluesy" sound to his voice. He knew the crowd would be filled with ANGEL fans and did not disappoint when covering those songs! We were all mesmerized on Punky Meadows guitar playing! Listening & watching him play, I didn't want it to end! Danny Farrow on Rhythm guitar & back vocals co-wrote with Punky, material for the Fallen Angel cd. Dan kept the room singing and fist pumping especially on the song "Shadow Man" where he says "You better turn this mother up!" Former ANGEL bass player Felix Robinson played magnificently on two songs this night(only because he had surgery done recently). Randy Gregg played on bass for the rest and was fantastic as well! Bob Pantella on drums made me play "air drums" on the Angel songs "Wild & Hot" and "Tower". Charlie Calv on keys brought a symphony of "heavenly sounds" to our hungry ears! The two female backup singers were not only phenomenal at singing but, fantastic "movers and shakers"! I am so thankful Punky Meadows is back and has a band who is "Re-opening" the ears of rockers worldwide!! Hope this band does a full US. tour!! This band is "ROCK N' ROLL" period!!!
