This was my third time seeing Meat Loaf live and the best I've seen him perform to date. It was a very nice engagement in which he told jokes, stories, answered questions from the audience and gave us an inside look at his life all while rocking hard!! Moments were hilariously funny others serious and all with a positive messages and set list of his classics. My wife bought me the pre-show Meat & Greet ticket as a gift and it couldn't have been a more enjoyable experience. I don't think people at his level should be humble but he was very personable and took the time to ask everyone their name and a few things about them, which was very nice. The Meat & Greet didn't seem rushed at all and he's a genuinely down to Earth man. He also shed some light on some projects he has coming down the pipeline and I'm very excited for his next album. During his performance he threw out guitar picks and passed out Coors Lite longnecks and the band shot t-shirts into the crowd out of t-shrt cannons, it was a great time. If I remember correctly the show went just over 3 hours and it was engaging and entertaining the entire performance. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue to attend from start to finish, ever!!

Easy free parking at Abbortsford Centre, a great crowd and very friendly employees made this a very positive experience to start. The beverage vendors and equipment were not very efficent. The lack of pricing for the typically over priced beverages was standard. The floor seats were the typical metal added seats with enough room not to step on too many toes. The concert started at 8:15 for a posted 8:00 o clock start, pretty much right on. Pre recorded music was playing for a while before two band members appeared on stage and with synchronous drumming like a Las Vegas (robotic) stage production displaced the sound track. The last member to enter the stage was of course our star and the crowd was cheering wildly as the music was now playing with a full band. The vocals began and right away I noticed something was a bit off. The timing... the pitch... my heart sank a bit as I was thinking: well somtimes you need to get dialed in a bit. Who knows what went on back stage, things will probably flow after a while. I won't speculate about medication, health, exhaustion, but yet I've said it. The band and all it's vocals were a great support and carried the song, and the next and the next. I was trying to hear Meat sing but the other vocals drowned him out much of the time and when I did hear him it was often not flowing, I heard low chopped vibratos, sometimes more in a speaking voice. Not all the time, there were energetic times that were a relief to hear yet nothing in the great range we've come to expect. When I finally grasped the reality of it I sensed that this concert would be an adjustment, a reality check and a realization that there is a finality to everything. I have heard so many 60 and 70's artists sing and play recently that the expectation of the original sound is a fantasy. The recorded albums were prime time experiences and rarely are topped or equaled. Some artists hang in for a long time and the fans love of their music carries them, and so it was that we, vistors from California, fans of Meat loaf, were here to hear all those great songs, live and up close. Both those expectations were met. It was live and we were up close. The crowd was often singing along, self included, sometimes dancing, sometimes standing, then sitting again. That was a sign, sitting down again. The energy and inspiration came and went, came and went again. Paradise by the dashboard light was still a great number. Sure we know the act and the age difference between the two singers, but it was still a fun performance. Picks were tossed, (old) tour T shirts were shot into the crowd with a bad boy grin from Meat doing the shooting but not the reloading of the penile hot dog shooters. The concert ended abruptly without an encore. We left wondering what happened so quickly. Less than 1 1/2 hrs after the start. It was like a knockout in the first round. We got what we came for but somehow had hoped for more. I would recommend this only with the decision based on this and other reviews. You may love it or... maybe not.

So we were really looking forward to seeing meatloaf.WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT!!He was off que and most of the night did not sing was just talking through the songs .I wanted to feel sorry for him as he was limping across the stage for most of the night but I didn't because I work hard for my money and the ticke were a couple hundred dollars. We really felt scammed .He is 68 and has clearly lost his voice .He needs to hang up his hat and be honest with himself and his fans.Half the audience had gone home before the encore .They didn't miss much .Save your money and put on a bat out of hell cd

Worst concert I ever seen, could not keep up with the music, 3-4 seconds behind. I have been to many concerts, older groups from the 70's & 80's, and I must say that this one was the worst. Played for about 90 minutes and most of the tunes were from the new album, not much of "classic" meatloaf. When he did play a "classic" if was very wrong, oh so very wrong. It sounded like karyoke. Save your money and just listen to your CD's.

Great show. He should have done "Bat out of Hell" later in the program when the audience was really fired up rather than as a third song.

I saw Meat Loaf at the Bank Of America Pavillion last night (7/8/10) in Boston. The show was amazing to say the least. The man still rocks at 63 years old. He still has that uncanny and comanding stage presence, and he still has a great voice. I will say, however, that the sound mix could have been better. Meat Loafs vocals often got lost behind the music. His legendary voice sounded great (when you could hear it over the band) but it sometimes was totally lost behind the music. In my opinion the problem was simply a bad sound mix during parts of the show. As far as his band...They are AWESOME! They are one of the best live bands in Rock and Roll today. There were great piano and saxaphone solos. Great drums and guitar work too! The concert featured great pyrotechnics and lighting. There was a giant bat that inflated behind the stage during "Bat Out Of Hell". I have read reviews that say Meat Loaf wonders around the stage like a deranged crazy person. Well, he does wander about the stage, but that is his style... It is just him getting into his music. He puts himself into every song he sings, just like an actor does. He does not simply sing the song, he performs it. If you want to see a great concert by a legendary rocker.. Go see Meat Loaf! Highly recomended!

The Bank of America Pavillion is a great venue. The musis was way too loud, the base especially, the singing was drounded out. I was hoping he played more songs from the Bat out of Hell CD. They are promoting their newer music. I prefer the old stuff!!

I waited over 30 years to see Meat Loaf in a live setting and the show at Planet Hollywood was something I'll never forget. His music is still high energy and the band is the best there is. I was disappointed that Patty Russo wasn't included and I didn't care for the current backup singers but I wasn't there to see them anyway. Meat Loaf is a great story teller as well as rock star and actor. He's still an awesome entertainer and I adore him! It was well worth a 2 1/2 day trip from Hawaii

Enjoyed it very much. Done in a way that is an "only in Vegas" show. Every seat is a good seat. the closeness is something that can only be achieved in a Vegas theater. Meatloaf knows how to sing and still has it. Lots of fun during the show I saw. Several time audience was brought to their feet in applause, and some were dancing in the aisles to the legendary music. Sang all the big hits from RHPS through to BOOH and his last album. Of course, being live is not recorded perfection, duh. he takes some liberties to perform some parts in a new way. Be open to new performances and embracing to the ones you were brought up with and you will really like this show. Very much recommend it to all who are familiar, especially those who bought the original BOOH when it first came out.

The opening act Katrina was horrible , she played for 30 minutes and it was the worst 30 minutes of my life. A former lawyer , she should have stuck with that profession instead of "singing". We did not know there was going to be an opening act. Then there was a 30 minute "intermission" after her. At that point I was thinking about leaving even before Meat Loaf got on stage. The first 3 or 4 songs Meat Loaf sung you could not even understand. He sung them too fast and unintelligable and the background music was too loud. He sung a total of 16 songs , yes he did sing his heart out but at some points I felt sorry for him. Toward the end of the concert he did get better. There were a few moments when it was enjoyable but I expected a lot better show that what was delivered.

Thought it was going to be a typical casino 1 hour and out concert... no way. Katrina was the opening act which meant there would be more than 1 hour of music. When Meatloaf finally came on stage it was full throttle high energy rock and roll, Meatloaf style. The band is awesome and could back anyone or stand alone. Performed every hit and more. He could be a southern preacher as he shows in his talks with the crowd. If you have sensitive ears bring your ear protection because you will be blown away. At age 64 he may not do the same show of 40 years ago but he is still the only Meatloaf and rocks. And yes, Patty Russo is right there in the middle of it all. Need I say more. 4 hours later we left the concert with ears ringing and hearts pounding. And a huge smile. Never put it on my bucket list because I did not think I would ever get the opportunity, but I got to see one of my favs of all time.

Meat Loaf put on a tremendous show but this venue has the worst accoustics. You couldn't even understand when he was speaking let alone singing. This is always a problem at this venue. They need to do some type of accoustical treatment to the tent. I really think this is the last time I am going to spend money to go to this pavilion. I would go back to see this show anywhere ekse it comes in the area.

I bought my mom tickets for this concert as a gift for mother's day. We were both SUPER pumped. My mom has loved Meat Loaf since she was young and I grew up with her rocking out to him, so naturally I'm a huge fan as well! The venue was pretty cool, lots of food choices (though I would love some candy options, haha). The seats were pretty comfy and we had a great view of the stage! It pains me to say it, but Meat Loaf was pretty horrible! Most of the event I just felt kind of... sad for him. He was off sync with the other musicians and when he stopped the songs a SECOND time to tell a story, rambling on for minutes and minutes, we were both reminded of a drunk great uncle at karaoke. Despite this concert being one of my mom's "bucket list items," we ended up leaving the concert early. We were both super disappointed with the entire experience.

Played a variety of old and new. Audience knew all the old. Two of his new songs "Mad, Mad World" and "Los Angeloser" are very good. Meat is a bit theatrical - trying to appear bad ass to this day, and leading a singalong of "You took the words right outta my mouth". Sometimes though he definitely looked like a 64-year-old with shot knees as he wandered back and forth across the stage. He nailed many songs but no doubt he's thankful for having such a strong band and backup singers. The highlights were his duets with his female singer, and whenever the Sax player started wailing a riff.

From the opening chords of 'Hot Patootie' to the final notes of Mercury Blues (his second encore) this show was amazing. It was my first time seeing Meat Loaf life and I sincerely hope it's not my last. There were doubts that Meat would be up to his usual level of performing after suffering an athsma attack and passing out onstage two nights before but with Pedialyte in hand, Meat didn't let anybody down in Columbus that night. I really enjoyed the songs from his latest album "Hang Cool Teddy Bear" and would have loved to have heard more live versions of the hard rocking songs on there. And the classics were performed with grace and perfection. I only wish he would have sang "Objects In The Rear-View Mirror", it's my favorite but like I said, I was not disappointed when I left the venue that night.

Great old-fashioned rock 'n roll concert! Meatloaf gave it his all for two hours. He seemed to gain energy as the night went on. His voice grew stronger and he was obviously having a good time. The band was terrific, as was his backup singer. Not only did I love the "greatest hits" (especially "Two Out Of Three"), but his new songs too. He and the very large crowd fed off of each other and the energy grew and grew. I loved the mix of ages at the concert too. Many people knew all the words to all the songs! Loved it when he manned the T-shirt machine!! Didn't seem like he wanted it to end!

I was a little concerned about Meat after his episode of passing out the previous week. I don't why I was concerned because having seen him before, I knew he would give us an amazing, energy-filled show. He did!! Was his voice what it was 20 years ago....no. Was his energy and showmanship? YES!! This is truly a high energy, fantastic show that any true Meat Loaf fan will thoroughly enjoy. You quickly overlooked any slight weakness or pitchiness in his voice and immersed yourself in the fun atmosphere that was instantly created when Meat Loaf hit that stage. He even held up his bottle of Pedialyte and joked that it was true that he drinks it. Keep drinking it Meat Loaf!! We loved you!! Patti was amazing and beautiful as always.

I heard Meatloaf songs for the first time when I was about 11 years old from an 8 track tape . I wore that tape out in no time . lol . He has been my favorite since .I have nerve deafness in both ears , which is not medically curable ,doctor says I will become completly deaf in a short time. So before that happens I vowed to see my most favorite singer/actor in the world. My birthday was August 1st and my fiance took me to see him in concert for the very first time .I got my birthday gift ,It was definitly the most incredible gift I have ever recieved And one I will never forget. I didn't know what to expect before I went. Here is a guy that is a rock legend. He has been around longer than the bipartisan frenzy . Having seen Meat Loaf several times before, I was excited to see him again. The excitement turned to concern about an hour before we left for the Ohio Star Fair where he was scheduled to perform. My step-son received an email with a line to an article that Meat Loaf had collapsed on stage to night before. We knew it was possible that he may have to cancel the show. Happily he hadn't, however, we were still concerned as to whether this would be too much on him.We had no reason to worry. Meat Loaf took the stage and immediately began singing with the same strong voice that he is famous for. He no long does the cartwheels that I saw him do on stage before, but he still took control of the stage and put all his energy into his show. He did look a little tired a few times and took opportunities to lean on some of the instruments or members of his band, but quickly pulled himself out of it. He still danced around, ran around and thrilled us. Every song was sung flawlessly. I and the group I was with, were a bit nervous when he did his song, "I would do anything (for love)", this was the song he was doing when he fainted in Pittsburgh. Fortunately it all went well. Early on Meat Loaf spoke and addressed that he fainted the other night and went in a little spiel making light of it. When Meat Loaf sang "You took the words right out of my mouth" he really shined. He again did his usual, taking over the stage and the audience. He had us all singing along with him and he made sure everyone sang hard with him. He also at one point did on of his routines where he raises and lowers his hand prompting us to yell or quiet down and did likewise with the band and their music. "Paradise" was not a disappointment he performed it with a very creative schtick. This is the fourth time I have had the pleasure of seeing him preform this song on stage and I have yet to see it done the same way twice. He always finds a way to keep it fresh. Meat Loaf ended the concert with a jam session in a medley of songs from past including other artists including Elvis. Meat Loaf has a way of energizing everyone in the room, we walked out after the concert a little drained ourselves, but happy. Before the concert my step-son had proclaimed, "I like Meat Loaf, but I wouldn't call myself a fan". While walking out of the arena, he looked at me and said, "Okay, I now consider myself a fan!" He is already planning on buying some CD's. As always I feel Meat Loaf gave everything to his audience and everyone walked out with a little something from him. I hope his health stays good, at 63 he kills the idea that 60 is suppose to be old. If you have never been to a Meat Loaf concert I recommend you go if you get the chance. If you have been to one, i don't need to tell you, you know.

Meat Loaf was, is, and always will be an iconic rock and roll persona. I went to this concert with new eyes, because it was my first concert I had ever attended. GOD BLESS MEAT FOR MAKING IT AN UNFORGETTABLE/SCRAPBOOK WORTHY EXPERIENCE!!! I sang every lyric to every song, because I was listening to him in the cradle. I'm an (almost) 18 year fan. Back up singers and musicians were great. If I didnt know the words to the songs I wouldnt have known which one Marvin was singing. His (very) off key singing ruined most of the concert. He was obnoxious - flipping off the audience and telling us "F**K you!" was not necessary. He is, in his own words," F*****G 68 years old! " which tells me "It's time to retire, honey."

Wow, that is literally all I can say! To me the concert was unbelievable and Unforgettable! Meatloaf was at his finest with all theatrical glory! They completely acted out Paradise by the Dashboard Lights as if it were a play. He barely took a breath let alone a break to even take a drink of water. Although he seemed to have a very hard time walking or even standing for that matter, he gave me a show I will never forget! This was not a show full of nothing but drum solos, piano solos and long speaking periods, HE SANG EVERY SONG from both albums and it was amazing! At the end he announced that he is 68 years old and thanked us all for what I swear was 10 minutes.

Sadly, Meatloaf is beyond his prime as were the majority of people in the crowd. We felt bad for him that he has to keep doing a tour (he can't possibly need the money, can he?) because he has no voice left. We assumed that if he had a cold, he would have said something. Because he didn't, we had to conclude that his voice is gone. He basically yelled his songs but sine the background music was so loud, you couldn't really hear him anyway. The two songs I wanted to hear (and did finally) took me several stanzas to recognize. I love Meatloaf, and it was obvious that everyone else did, but it was difficult to watch. Some people just walked out near the start. I'm not sure that the Pompano amphitheater is really good for that kind of music. Would be better suited to a single singer with a smoother kind of music.

I love Meatloaf, but he must really need the money. His band is great and the female singer is excellent. He tries hard, but my daughter sang Paradise by the Dashboard Lights better into a hairbrush at 7 years old. Listen to the classic CD. Save your money!

First off I'd like to say I've been trying to catch as many classic acts as I can these past few years. I saw the Eagles twice in the past 3 years and with the recent passing of Glenn Frey, I'm glad I did. Meatloaf was also on my bucket list. Having grown up with Bat out of Hell, I knew every song and lyric on that album. Now with Meat in his upper 60's and having read past reviews I knew His vocals weren't going to be that of a young Meat, so I was not disappointed as much when I heard him sing. The band was great and Meat gave it his all. Now for the VIP nation experience....well I got front row seats which is the reason I bought them. Other than a paltry gift back with a poster, not signed, a shot glass, diary and commemerative ticket, not worth the extra 120 bucks for VIP. Not even early access to the venue or early access shopping like at other VIP events I've done. Again it was the front row seat that made it worth it. I've never been in the front row. After the concert Meat and the band threw out picks and signed drum heads both of which I got. That made up for the price of the tix. Overall I would recommend if you're a fan go see Meatloaf. Odds are it may be his last tour.

First off the venue was awesome, smaller hall better show:) the energy that meatloaf and his band put into the show was remarkable. It was an experience I will never forget! Crossed another one of my bucket list. Been trying for 15 years to get to a show near me so happy I kept trying !!!

Been a Meat fan since the 70s. Have seen him many times in be past. Although in his late 60's Meat still wows the crowd and gives you all he has. Would definitely recommend seeing the show. True Meat can't hit all he high notes he did 30+ years ago, but I don't know many-I any that could. The Neverland Express Band is as good as every and the new backup female vocalist did a great job. Replacing a legend like Patti Russo is no easy task but she did a great job. Actually, although not quite as overpowering as Patti, she actually blends in a little better. The fill in for Justin on piano was very good as well. Paul, Randy John and the rest of the Band rocked as usual

Short and too the point. NO regrets for going to this concert, as I was a huge fan of Meat Loaf's ... but this is NOT the Meat Loaf of roughly 1980. Go to a McCartney, Billy Joel or Elton John concert, and you will be rewarded with vocals relatively close to your memories. Simply put, Meat Loaf is not the Meat Loaf of your memories. DON'T expect it. You'll be disappointed. Screaming and screeching into the mic is not singing. Its just bad. Period. That said, I still enjoyed the concert. His female co-singer was fantastic. Period. His band is "top drawer, A+". NO complaints. This is a LOUD concert. A lot of the vocal nuance from "Bat out Hell" is completely lost at 100 DB +. I listen to loud music, but loud does not necessarily equate to "good". This is the case with many of his songs at this concert. NOTE to Meat Loaf and the band: You guys can REALLY play. You are VERY talented, its "OK" to not play at 100 DB. Try bringing it down at times. You guys are good. IT will work. You guys literally had people walking out because of your volume. Literally. By the way, your guitar riffs were awesome ...

After all these years I almost forgot how many really, really good songs were on Bat out of Hell and Bat out of Hell II. They're still great songs. The band is tight and the woman vocalist is excellent. I've had Meat Loaf songs as earworms since the show, so that is saying something. The band was pretty theatrical and they had some fun: who's ever seen a rock star shoot a T-shirt gun into the balcony? Two problems though. The first was that the sound was cranked up way too loud, especially at the start. It was distorted and painful. It did get better (or maybe I just got numb). The second, bigger, problem is that Meat Loaf's voice is shot. Not just limited range: he wasn't hitting any of his notes. Sad, really. He isn't very mobile, either, almost limping around on stage. That didn't bother me -- we didn't go to see him dance -- but the voice was bad: cringe-worthy bad. The show was pretty short by rock-show standards. They said good night after about 70 minutes, but the house lights stayed dark so obviously the encore was planned. With the encore the show was acceptably long.

Most definitely a stroll down memory lane. Heard Meatloaf had recently been sick & maybe even cxld a tour stop, but whether that or just time as expected.... the music was good, but his vocals way off. He was overplayed by the music, which I guess as intentional. Backup vocals carried him, especially the female counterpart ever so present in his songs. Sharon, I think was her name as introduced late, was really spot on ....if you could listen to her besides just watching. She's one gifted by nature and gifted back to us in her simple presence let alone personality & dancing. Casts a wonderful shadow if you know what I mean. Meatloaf thanked the audience repeatedly saying, without yiu-- there'd be no me. He worked his butt off, so anything short of the 1970-80s was not for lack of effort.

First I'd like to say something about the last reviews... You've probably read the last reviews.-- They weren't really nice. PLEASE!! - Don't let them hold you back from going to a Meat Loaf show, you'd regret it! Of course, Meat Loaf does not sound exactly like he does on the record, but NO singer, NO ONE - and I mean NO ONE - DOES!! If you want to hear a perfect song, perfect vocals, perfect everything.. - listen to the records and stay home, really. But if you want to experience a superb show - full of power, full of passion, full of high energy songs and sounds - buy a ticket and go to a show!!! The show lasted over 90 min, including newer songs and classics. The crowd was marvelous and carried away by his presence! Meat performed like he used to - amazingly!!! He put all his energy into his songs. His band is awesome, they are professionals. I loved the intros!! The female singer is fantastic, especially when it comes to ''Paradise by the Dashboard Light''... The show took me away to a rocking, heavenly place... !!!!! To me it was PERFECT, it was REAL and TRUE! MAGICAL !!!!!!

Meat Loaf at Lynn City Hall. I was excited about this one since I first heard he was coming. Got my tickets on Pre-Sale. Went out for a nice dinner prior to the concert. Got to the auditorium just as the band began to play. But when Meat Loaf opened his mouth to sing, something was wrong. Sorry to say, he can't sing! His voice is gone. His tempo was wrong. It was painful. Mind you, there were a few highlights but they were only when the other vocalists added their voices and harmonized on the choruses. I could not sit through the entire show. After a little more than an hour, I left, disappointed.

Fantastic opening show. Meat came on really strong in voice and kicking ass with the Running for the Red Light/Lemon medley and continued to exercise that right foot and those mighty chords and lungs until he finally left the stage to tumultuous applause. He may walk, prowl and stride the stage rather than run about now .. but is not a jot less commanding. He comes on at the beginning, guitar at the ready, looking out at the audience with that searching stare, and takes command of every inch of the space, every soul in the venue, with the same fierce power and passionate delivery he has always done. He starts with Running for the Red Light, which I still think is just about the perfect opener   Gonna have a good time tonight!  Yes we will .. and we did! He and the band were on superb form .. can't remember the set list, as it was almost non-stop delivery, but he included Los Angeloser and Giving Tree, as well as Two Out of Three, Dead Ringer, AFL, Frying Pan .. and of course Bat! All in all a wonderful night, and an audience which stood, danced, sang and cheered their heads off as a giant of Rock and a master of conceiving, designing and executing a spectacular night of music, colour and spectacle proved that he has lost none of his signal ability to pull this off, but rather that he can deliver the goods better every time. Great things wait for all those lucky to be still holding their tickets for shows to come!!

Feeling his age maybe? Sure. Voice not quite what it used to be? Yes. The passion, desire and energy to put on a fantastic show still there? Absolutely! Meat Loaf is very theatrical, his band and gal singing with him now are awesome! He played everyone's favorites and the room was hopping, all 2,000 seats at the Tropicana Showroom! We drove close to 500 miles and would do it again in a heartbeat. If you love Meat Loaf, you won't be disappointed!

Meatloaf tried his best but his best wasn't good enough. While I expected a difference in the tone and quality of his voice, given his age, (he was garbled and off key) and even some differences in the performance since its live and not tweaked in a studio, I wasn't prepared for this. The beginig of most songs seemed sluggish and off beat. Couldn't even sing my favorite songs along with him because they were paced wrong, that is until the female vocalist came in and helped him out. And he needed a lot of help, so good thing she was fantastic and the band played well together. It's great that he is trying to keep his music alive and I give him credit for trying to get up there and do it. But at this point it's time to hang up the microphone. As for the venue at Twin River I was unimpressed with the flat seating in a plain ballroom setting. Where is the stadium seating?

He may be a 68 year old diabetic with asthma, and he doesn't sound 'like on the album' anymore, but this man and his band can not be beaten for intensity, passion and sheer entertainment value. This venue was fantastic to go to. I had never been here for a concert & I would definitely go again. The venue was easy to get to, signs everywhere instructing you to your destination inside, valet parking was fantastic & having restaurants right next to the venue made the evening easy, fun & relaxing. The seats in the venue were comfortable & I really liked the wider aisles so you could stretch out a bit. The cup holders in the back of the seats in front of us were just an added bonus. The sound quality was amazing! We were there for my friends birthday & you helped make her 55th birthday a huge success! She still hasn't stopped talking about it....thank you!

Meat Loaf puts on one helluva show. He's came out with a burst of energy - Started the show with "runnin' for the red light", Life is a lemon, and then Dead Ringer. Never let up for a second and the sound mix was perfect. Meat Loaf has a stage presence that is larger than life and of course the songs are great. He ripped through the first 3 songs without a break. By the time he greeted the audience he was dripping wet with sweat! He got in all of the favorites: Took the words right out my mouth. All Revved up. I would do anything for love, Paradise by the dashboard lights, Two out of three ain't bad, Bat out of hell, etc... Despite the energy he pours into every song, sadly, he has lost his voice. He fakes his way through most of the songs well enough, but he just can't hit the high notes. He makes up for it with massive passion- he leaves every drop of energy on that stage. It is impressive! His back up band "the Neverland Express" was excellent. The female singer has a beautiful face, a smoking hot bod, and equally impressive pipes. She carries Meat through the duet ballads like "dashboard lights" and "took the words right out of my mouth". She killed! Bottom line- If you are expecting to hear Meat Loaf that sounds like the albums, forget about it. But if you want a great show loaded with nostalgia and great songs, you will love this show.

The show had lots of variety, singing, videos, dancing, comedy, clowns, acrobats and even some fire eating. Meat or if you prefer Mr Loaf if you prefer, explains how he got his name and answers questions from the crowd. You get what you expect from Meatloaf. High energy, great songs and a show that puts the 70s back into the forefront of great music. From the opening songs to the finale Bat out of Hell, this show rocks. At 66 Meatloaf doesn't have the pipes to pull off flawless vocals. He never did have a great voice, but his stage presence is what has always made Meatloaf The backup band and singers were awesome especially the two female singers who did their part to keep the audience engaged. Having a sax in the backup group added a richness to many of the songs. Overall, I would make this a must see for any 50 plus rockers.

During a number of the songs; either the band was playing at a different pace where you could barely distinguish the actual song they were playing until the chorus. A few points where you could hear Meatloaf, the band and what sounded like an audio track all at different times seeming like that set was a very poor verision on kareoke. I have this on my phone but willl not upload to youtube to paste here. This sounded horrible; almost when you were little and sang songs in a round very poor quality. Meatloaf i know that he had fallen ill due to dehydration but i would prefer the concert postponed than have the poor performance we recieved. He barely had any vocals that you could hear even in our seats and the vocals you did get were poor, off key and just not the Meatloaf i recall from his last concert i attended for him here in BC. Just not impresssed it was my first concert with my fiance and this wasnt the best concert; we choose this over pink, jeff duhman and other performers coming to the Lower Mainland only to get this performance or lack there of. Meat Loaf is one of those artists that you have to have an affection for more than his songbird talent; his personality and character in general are what you'll see at this event. This concert is a reflection of who he is and who he's become. If you love Meat Loaf you will love to watch this dramatic account of his capacity. If you're expecting him to sound like 1976 then don't even bother. He's almost 70, get over it. If you understand that an artist is also a human with more than simply vocal talent to provide you with then you will adore this show.

The show itself was pretty decent. Good volume, didn't need ear plugs 99% of the time. A few humorous moments between Meat and his female lead singer. However, it's not the Meat that made I'd do anything for Love so popular anymore. His voice has changed considerably and while he was belting out all the songs as much as he could, he's just not physically all there anymore. So if you love Meat, go see it, before he isn't doing them anymore. You'll still enjoy the show and his band are great artists.

Where do i start, Meatloaf should never have been on stage, the show should have been postponed, he was not well and it was clear from the start. He hobbled on and around the stage, The first time he dropped the mike should was a clear sign this was not going to end well. For 95% of the show you could not hear or make out what he was singing, (good job we knew the words) we was directly in front of the stage on the second level, should have been perfect sound in this custom designed building. While the backing band music was good and tried to cover for meatloaf by singing some of his lines and singing over him to try and keep the show going. Meatloaf did his very best in the situation, But his fans would have understood and accepted if he had just postponed the show. Meatloaf clearly gave it his all for Bat out of Hell but that extra effort was his undoing as it took every last bit out of him which showed when he collapsed during the next song. We took our young son with us, its only his second concert, Meatloaf collapsing out cold on the stage has left a very big impression on his little mind, to the point he keeps asking if Meatloaf is ok and did he die or will he get better. In over 30 years being involved with concerts and festivals this one will stick around for a while, Unforgettable for all the wrong reasons

Meat Loaf was likely the poorest concert that I have been to - and I go to a lot of concerts! The Jubilee Auditorium was obviously NOT the venue for this performer - there are NO screens and the entire middle section on the main floor stood up, making it impossible to see the stage when one is height challenged. I am VERY aware that people stand up at concerts but not in a venue such as this one that is not equipped with screens. The middle section was NOT the place to be! Meat Loaf himself should NOT have been performing! Either the sound quality at the Jubilee was lacking or he was lacking - many of the words coming from his mouth were garbled and not recognizable. He didn't 'sing' anything - he 'talk shouted'. Not acceptable. The entire evening was unacceptable - especially for $300!

Meat Loaf is one artist who gives his all in every performance. At 68 years of age, he performed for 1 hr 45 mins, and exuded more energy than I have seen bands in their early 20s capable of. It was an unforgettably incredible performance by a true legend.

I attended the first 40 minutes of the Meat Loaf concert in Winnipeg, MB. It was the worst concert I have ever been to (have attended close to 100 concerts). For starters, he has lost his voice and now relies on a forced vibrato. Next, he was forgetting the lyrics and much what he was able to sing was either unintelligible or consistently behind beat of the music. In addition, he has a distracting palsy in the hand in which he holds the microphone and has trouble merely crossing the stage. Finally, his hiring of a nubile 20-something as his female backup singer not only places Meat Loaf's deficiencies in a spotlight, but also adds a creepy-old-man vibe to the show. This was the first concert I have ever walked out on in 20 years of attending concerts. Time to hang it up.

I have seen Meatloaf 10 times since 1993 and the majority of the concerts have been fabulous. That said, in 2014 I saw him in Vegas and there were definitely cracks then. Well, the recent show in Hamilton is proof positive that he needs to retire. His voice was horrible, he couldn't keep with tempo and his band did most of the work. My wife and I last saw Meatloaf when we were engaged in 1989. During the last 27 years, Meatloaf left his voice somewhere and forgot to bring it to the show. We were very upset that we drove 8 hours to Toronto and invested a lot in a vacation in Toronto around this event and this event was a complete waste of money. Massey hall was a delightful old building in the middle of Toronto great sized venue for everyone to get a great view, the show its self was amazing the NLE band sounded great and with a good mix of the big hits and a few slightly newer songs were fantastic Meat Loaf as ever when I've seen him put in 200% and he was clearly enjoying the audience joining in which sounded amazing!!! Meat Liaf actually stopped to applaud the audience for raising the roof on paradise by the dash board! There was also a very moving tribute to Mohammed Ali who had sadly past away that day.

some people/groups don't know when to retire - he couldn't carry the tunes, muffled at best, female singer helped restore some dignity. I could not interact with audience and most words he sang were undiscernable. Too bad as he has some of my favorite songs. My expectations were low going into the concert, given the quality of performances I had seen in recent videos of Meatloaf, but I thought that the band and back-up singer would be able to carry him. That was not the case. He spoke more than he sang the lyrics, his melody seldom matched the original song, his voice cracked and was uncontrollable, he didn't address the crowd, and some of the classic songs were barely recognizable. This was a huge disappointment. His making out with the back-up singer during Paradise by the Dashboard Light, and the gestures and name-calling that followed were classless and bordered on being offensive. I wish I hadn't gone and instead had only the great memories of the Meatloaf of my youth to remember him by.

I don't know if that affected the performance given, like lets hurry up and get this done so we can get back on schedule. I think the sound engineer was sick for this performance. The music was set too loud, which drowned out most of the vocals. Even when a few members did their solo instrumentals, it sucked! The music just did not compliment the instruments. I seen Meat Loaf before, and know many of his songs. Some of the songs had the audience guessing which song was about to be played due to the quality, it did not help the vocals when you can't hear them due to the sound levels.
