There is not much I can say besides Marc is one of the best comedians working today, and this show did not disapoint. 2 hours of new material that was insightful and funny. Amber Preston opened for Marc and she was great as well. Do not miss a chance to see Marc Maron live!

More than fun and better than funny. A good evening from a irascible overly introspective comedian. He's workin' out his stuff as he walks the planet and he makes life more bearable for the rest of us, too. (What luck). Pay the man....he makes you laugh.

I hope Gilda's Laugh Fest is able to get Marc Maron to return next year. Maron put on a long show, but time flew by; a great night's entertainment. Worth driving into to Grand Rapids to see.

After more than 25 years in comedy Marc Maron has become one of the greats. He builds his comedy from his own life; with the success of his WTF Podcast, his life has become richer and happier and, consequently, his comedy has become more nuanced, more profound, and funnier. His observations are universal, especially if you are the slightest bit introspective. His jokes move in unexpected directions - seeing him in a club is like riding a roller coaster that does not merely threaten to veer off tracks, but actually leaves them, returning at the last moment before any lives are lost. The best comedians stroll the edge of a blade - they speak thoughts that can't be spoken but leave you surprised to find how badly those thoughts needed airing. His comedy may not be for everyone, but he is a great artist - painful, brilliant, surprising, and, more than anything, funny.

Maron is a master of his craft. Great stand up show and live WTF Podcast. He is great an riffing and the crowd work he did was hilarious.

Marc was great, people getting there late was annoying. There was a doors time on the tickets, but no start time, so lots of people got there late. It did detract a little from the show.

I thought i was going to see a comedy show.. instead i payed $60 to see Marc invite 5 people to the stage and talk about his life (inside jokes, stories about their past, bla bla bla) Worst comedy show (if you can even call it that) ever. I wish i could get my money back. at some point i think i even passed out (so boring)

Fantastic show from start to finish. Great bar service. Marc brought his top game and kept the place in a constant state of hilarity. One of the best shows i have ever seen.

Marc is great. Highly recommend his comedy! He has very little problem with stating exactly what he is thinking and as a result he does not come off as canned and one size fits all.

Marc was great. I'm a big fan of the podcast. Went to the 7 PM show. When it was over I wished I had tickets to the live podcast show at 10 PM.

Marc Maron always puts on a good show, and the venue is comfortable and easy to navigate. It's not a huge venue, so the meet and great at the end wasn't crazy long and pretty much every seat is a good seat. I hope Marc comes back soon!

Marc was hilarious. I love the podcast, and listen regularly, but this was him doing what he does best: stand-up. His crowd interaction was phenomenal and the jokes just kept coming. He's definitely one of the best.

This was a great show. Not only were all three comedians great (I knew Nato and Maron wouldn't disappoint, but I knew nothing about Sammy Obeid going in), but even the crowd was better than expected on a Saturday night. Killer show. Punchline remains the best place to see comedy in SF.

Marc Maron gave the kind of performance his fans have come to expect: deeply personal, often raw and extremely funny. Both his wit and his honesty were on full display. The crowd certainly got its money's worth. As a bonus both the feature act, Nato Green, and the emcee, Sammy Obeid, brought solid performances as well. Hopefully these two comedians will continue to move up the comedy ladder. I want to offer praise to the staff of the Punch Line. They handled the full crowd extremely well bringing food and drinks and collecting the money during the show without interfering with the performances. Great job.

I am a long time Maron fan (since the Comedy Central days in the 90s). This was my first time seeing him live, and it was worth it. The ticket prices were inexpensive, my seats were great, and I stuck around and purchased a poster which he signed. If he ever returns to Atlanta, I will see him again.

The Marc Maron show at the Variety Playhoue was a great comedy show. He was hysterical even though he was literally just in a car wreck an hour before the sart of his set. The Variety is a classic venue in Atlanta and one that needs to be on everyone's to do list. The people are always very nice and courteous. I will certainly be back.

Maron was on, but thought he was not, so kept doing more and more to make it a good show. That about sums up his struggle and the attraction. Beautiful.

Maron was more lose and comfortable than I've ever seen him. He had the audience in his grasp the whole time. Funny, real, relatable.

I laughed so hard I shed tears of joy at least four times. At one point I may have even snorted. He was truly amazing! A comedic genius! There's nothing else like him out there. The only other comic who is somewhat similar is Larry David who is also Fantastic!

The opener was pretty good her name is Ashley Barnhill, funny lady.. Marc Maron was amazing, he killed it, he performed some of his old material but it was great nonetheless. I got to meet Maron before the show, he stayed after the show to sign autographs and take pictures, had an amazing time, can't wait for him to come to Dallas again

I really enjoy his podcasts, and his show on IFC. Seeing him in person doing standup was just incredible, I am still sore from laughing.

I've been listening to Marc Maron's podcast, WTF!, for just a few months. We went to see his stand up show on April 26th & we laughed so hard we had tears in our eyes. Great show! A MUST see!!!

The comedy stylings of Marc Maron were not only extremely funny, but they also made me feel better about not being married, not having kids, and eating massive quantities of ice cream. Highly recommended if you have an above average level of self-loathing.

Marc Maron was hilarious. It was his second show of the night, but you would have never known. He started out with some great improv and segwayed into his planned jokes. I laughed a lot at both sections of the show and felt like I really got my money's worth. And even though I didn't end up waiting in line to meet him, I like how down to earth he is and that he made himself available after the show for people to take photos with him.

I had never seen Marc's standup before. I have only listened to his podcasts, but since my boyfriend is a fan I bought tickets for his birthday. I am so glad I did because he was hilarious. Would absolutely see him again :)

Maron was as promised. Angry and hilarious, Maron's comedy was on points and topical . I recommend going if you can.

The comedy started before the show did. While I was in line waiting to see Marc Maron at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, I witnessed the beginnings of his first joke happen 5 feet away from me. Marc was walking down the sidewalk to the end to try and go across the street and these drunk people (that didn't even make it in the building I should add) bombarded him with selfies. He was clearly not amused, and it showed in the pictures, but they thought it was the greatest thing ever. Little did they know when he got up on stage that they would become the punchline. I got to meet him after and he was awesome off stage too. I will definitely be back next time he is in town.

Saw MM at the Wilbur in Boston in April. I was not familar with his stand-up show or type of comedy but have watched his TV show. Loved it!! Observational comedy -- witty and funny. What else can you ask for in a comedy show?!

Saw Maron at the Wilbur in March. Had remembered him from the 80s. Very smart, observational comedy with a keen eye. Worth seeing in person. Also, be sure to check out his WTF broadcasts. He did a meet and greet after the first show and before his next one. Personable and funny. Appreciates his fans. A great time was had by all.

Marc Maron's OUT OF THE GARAGE show was everything we expected and more. After a brief glitch in the form of a mildly deranged, extremely LOUD heckler (sitting, of course, directly behind us), the night was nothing less than fantastic. Maron's opener, Mike Campbell, brought the laughs in spite of Chuckles the Heckler, who naturally became the comics' prey. Maron was sublime, displaying his usual mix of angst, pathos, rage, and sweetness. Looking forward to his new show on IFC!

I am a fan of Maron's WTF podcast so I bought tickets to his show. I was worried that I would like his podcast better than his standup. WRONG! His show was so great - he is a genius at storytelling.

I'd seen Marc Maron live before, and am a regular listener to his WTF podcast so I had an idea of what to expect going in. There were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, quite a few chuckles but also a lot of dead time or some moments that were mildly amusing, but not really hilarious. Maron made a point of saying that he didn't prepare for the show, which I thought was schtick, but appeared to be the truth later on as he debated with himself about which bit to do or which direction to take the show. Some of Maron's self-analysis is interesting and humorous and is something you don't see a lot of performers do, but I do have to confess to being a bit disappointed that he wasn't sharper or funnier. He also told several jokes/stories that I'd heard him do on his podcast before, which was a bit of a letdown since I knew the punchlines ahead of time. Part of why I like to see performers live is that I get a chance to see them perform material I haven't seen or heard before. All in all, this was a good performance but not a great one. I'd still see Maron again but will hope next time he does newer material.

I was familiar with Marc as a comedian prior to him becoming the podcast celebrity he is today and so I have followed him for several years. This is my second time seeing Marc live and although in a theater, as opposed to a comedy club where I first saw him, the venue is less personal, Marc does a great job of connecting with the audience. I still read about Marc's comedy not being for everyone and maybe in the past that was true. Marc has a certain air of sadness, anger and a well wrought personal intensity that he brings to the stage that makes for a very personal experience for the audience. As his star continues to grow, Marc approaches his past with a growing revere for himself and other comedians that results in a humorous reflection accented with his characteristic undertones of sarcasm, narcissism and self-doubt. Overall, I was impressed with how generally happy he was and can't wait until he comes back to SF.

I've wanted to see Marc Maron for years, and he was even better than I expected. He touches the audience on so many levels, and transforms the tragedies of life into comedies. In fact what he does is more than comedy--it's tragicomedy.

The guy has a genius for making you feel like you are part of his life while laughing your ass off. Incredibly perceptive and comically self-aware reformed anger ball.

I laughed for 2 hrs. My friend laughed for 2 hrs. Everyone around us laughed for 2 hrs. He was captivating: simultaneously nuanced and over the top, compassionate and angry, sarcastic and humble. You've got to see the show if he comes back. It was well worth the ticket price and the ridiculous fees.

In the last 12 months in DC I've seen most of the top tier stand-ups that came through DC. I honestly think this was my favorite (And there were some damn good ones). Marc's a pro. I'm really glad I got to see him live.

I was originally in the front,had to relocate because of my hair color for editing purposes. Ok fine. Marc on the other hand was the cats MEOW! I love his real take on everything.

Definitely Marc's best comedy special. Very dark and funny. You don't wanna miss it.

Over the years, Marc Maron shows have had moments of brilliance and moments, well, somewhat short of brilliance. This set was different. He played upon his own reputation, appearing to be out of control, acting like he couldn't close a story arc, but he always got there and the results were hilarious. He had a through line and a tight structure. The self-editing paid off. Well played, Maron, well played.

Funny times. Hahahaha. Laughs we're plentiful and belly jiggled with tremors from giggle time.

Marc is a talented, insightful, honest (sometimes brutally), comic. He's a little cranky and that is how I like my comics. A definite must see.

What's to say? Marc Maron was in top form. He was lively and fast-paced, delivering his well-known brand of humor with his trademark cadence. Seeing him on television, either in his show or his recorded concerts, pales in comparison to being in the presence of this comedy mastermind.

He's at the top of his game with this set, which covers heavy topics like death and politics -- hilariously.

I've listened to the WTF podcast and watched the Maron TV show for years. This was the first time I had seen him live, and I was a bit worried he wouldn't live up to my expectations. But he way exceeded them. There's something special about watching an experienced comedian who's firing on all cylinders. He nailed the routine, but also pivoted effortlessly when an idiot or two insisted on yelling from the audience. Bottom line, he owned the stage and provided nearly 2 hours of great entertainment.

Big fan of Marc Maron's comedy, TV show, and podcasts. Always a blast to watch him perform. Raw and sincere style of comedy. Love that he performs for however long he feels like; our show was 2 hours!

Marc was witty, snarky, sarcastic , sweet and vulnerable at the same time. He dealt w hecklers w ease (even the drunk and mean ones who left). He did his homework on our area and made it personal as one can.

This was first time seeing Maron live. The opener was so good that I worried Maron would be upstaged. He was absolutely not! Maron's comedy topical was timely, vulnerable, amazingly incisive, and most importantly, side splittingly funny. I want to the show with two buddies but wished I had brought more people. The show was door to door awesome!

I knew a little about Marc from his show Maron and his podcast WTF. I wasn't completely sold on his comedy and wasn't sure what to expect. Man, what a great decision I made to go see him. He's more of a story teller rather than a punch line type comic. He certainly does some political humor but its genuinely funny even if you are a Trump supporter. Why you would be is unknown to Marc but its very funny. He talks about a lot of various material from the Rolling Stones to Dave Matthews Band being good musicians but ... He told a great story about buying a hat and the ramifications of that purchase. He talks about men and women relationships and how sex plays out with things go awry. Marc as on stage for almost 2 hours and was entertaining the entire time. He was worth the price of admission and completely sold me on his comedy.

Marc Marcon is a great performer. He was on stage for almost two hours and did a great job varying topics and revealing his true self, as always. I'd love to see him live again--it was a great performance!

We really enjoyed the Too Real Tour with Marc Maron. There were a lot of people in the audience laughing out loud during the whole show, including us.

Show was fantastic. I had never seen Maron live before, and he exceeded expectations. Expectations were not low :). I think he even performed longer than he was supposed to, which was great.

This was my second time seeing Marc Maron since I became a regular WTF listener. Maron was funny and I don't regret going to the show, although I felt like being a fan of his podcast worked against me a little more this time around. He tailored a lot of his opening to jokes to Boston and did some improvisational crowd work, which was impressive, however as a listener of the show I was disappointed by how many of his bits came from situations or thoughts he's shared on his show. This made things feel less fresh and seeing his standup seem less essential. Lastly, I thought he spent a little too long on political jokes, while not spending enough with his random Post-It note observations, which were much funnier and unique.

Marc Maron's years of experience in comedy culminated in a hilarious show with jokes that came from the strangest places. I found myself laughing hardest at the jokes stemming from his personal misfortune and a joke about children's books about hats. The venue, though cramped, could take nothing away from this skilled performers dramatic delivery. There's a joke that's probably been made a thousand times about this stand up comic who insists on doing most of his act from a seated position. I'll leave that to the review hacks. Basically, if Marc ever comes back or I'm near where he's performing, I hope I have enough cash on me to get a ticket. Thanks for the laughs.

Haven't laughed this much in a long time. A solid hour-and-45-minute performance with a lot of new material. Some retreading of stuff on his WTF podcast, but still funny stuff.

It was my first time seeing him live and I really enjoyed i and highly recommend his stan-up performance to anyone who's a fan of his podcast or the IFC show.

Undeterred by an accident in his rental car on the way to the performance, Marc was his inimitable self and made us all laugh.
