Trixie Delight

My girlfriend and I went for NYE to see Trixie Delight, very good band, my review is about the venue, not the Band. We would see them again, no question! The Bottle Neck Blues Bar seats 280 and they sold 450 seats, so I got there at 6:00pm, doors opened at 7:00, no big deal. I have never been to a New Years Eve celebration where food wasn't available, until now. They did allow for us to carry in, but the only place at Ameristar that allowed carry out was a Chinese Restaurant, so Chinese it was. The drinks were not only watered down, but half a glass! At 10 til midnight I asked our waitress if they were giving out champagne for the New Years Eve toast, her answer - NO! It was $5 a glass if we wanted some. I've Never been to a New Year's Eve celebration that didn't give out Champagne for the toast, what a piece of cramp this place is...never again, a total disappointment of a NYE celebration!

Trixie Delight was and always is amazing. Staff was excellent and funny. But for $25 a person, something could have definitely been offered free of charge in the form of beverages. We missed the midnight countdown because the tab was already $100 after 2 hours. There was just two of us on this tab. I won't be visiting anytime soon.

We arrived at Ameristar for the event with tickets in hand and they were at capacity. So why did we get tickets in advance? Had to wait behind two groups with out tickets and ameristar let them in before us when we had tickets!!??? Won't go back for any big event at the bottle neck blues bar

Even with a paid ticket, the venue was at capacity when we arrived and we were denied entry for almost an hour. Trixie's last set was boring, nothing to write about except it was not songs we recognized.
