The concert and the venue were simply fabulous. The band that opened for Jeffrey Osborne was one of the best I have heard performing music from multiple genres. From the moment they opened their show, the audience was on our feet moving to the groove and jamming right along with the band. When Jeffrey came down the aisle, the audience exploded with excitement. To sum it all up, Jeffrey Osborne still got the moves and the voice he had from many, many years ago. I recommend everyone attend this event if not for the great music then to support the great cause (Closing the Gap in Health Care in South Carolina). We will be there to celebrate the next anniversary of this great event

Damien brought the house down especially ending with everyone turning on their lights during Purple Rain. I didn't think Culbertson would be able to top it but he did. They are distinctly different & Brian had the flu. It was OUTSTANDING!

At the Low Country Jazz Festival, all the performers were very entertaining. The venue was comfortable, clean, and not overcrowded. The show started about 20 minutes late, but other than that it was a great experience. It was great that some of the proceeds went to a good cause. Jeffrey Osborn is a great entertainer and we look forward to seeing him in concert again one day. We also plan to return to the Jazz Festival next year!

This 3 day event is what the doctor would have ordered, for me! Each performer entertained with a spirit of EXCELLENCE! Most of the artists were first time pleasant surprises for me. Brian Culbertson & Jeffrey Osborne were familiar faces and truly did NOT disappoint! The entire package was worth the financial investment!!!

This show was absolutely amazing!!! From start to finish I was very pleased with the entire event. Although seating in the venue was uncomfortable due to small seats being too close together, the show was awesome!

The North Charleston Performing Arts Center was excellent. Comfortable seats, plenty of leg room between rows, perfect temperature setting, and unobstructed views of the stage from every seat! Lots of vending options were available in the lobby area. I actually enjoyed the caramel peanut popcorn! Vendors and staff were courteous and friendly. The crowd was outstanding! Everyone was laid back and relaxed. So refreshing to see well dressed patrons with men wearing fedoras and stingy brims instead of baseball caps. The concert itself was probably the perfect mix of jazz and old school R&B. Rick Braun, Richard Elliot, and Norman Brown opened up with uptempo cuts. Each artist got to perform solo and they collaborated as a trio for the final tunes. Although the crowd favorite was Norman Brown, Richard Elliot really put it down with his energy and sax solos! Jeffrey Osborne ended the evening with the type of performance that leaves everyone smiling. Jeffrey sang his songs and a healthy dose of the LTD classics not to mention a few others during an audience participation segment confirming the power of Old School music. Jeffrey also came out into the audience to let a few fans test their "Woo woo" chops. Jeffrey put on a MUST SEE performance!! All phases of the evening were uncommonly good. From the venue, to the crowd, the music, the artists', the atmosphere, everything made for a SPECTACULAR night.

The 9th annual Low Country Jazz Fest was wonderful! Each nights performance just got better than the previous night. Richard Elliot, Rick Braun, & Norman Brown are the reason I keep coming back (Jazz Perfected!!) But Jeffery Osborne was the cherry on top of the event. BRAVO to Low Country Jazz Festival. Looking forward to next year.

what a Joy to listen to Damien Escobar. This was my time seeing him Live and he was Fantastic! And the setting was Perfect. He is a definitely a Must See in concert!!! Brian Culbertson Performance was 5 STARZ!! I saw him at the Hampton Jazz Festival and when i found out he was at the Low Country Jazz Festival, i immediately booked my reservation. HE WAS AMAZING!! His Horn section of OLD SCHOOL music was SUPERB!! The best part was i saw him when he was checking out of the hotel on Saturday. Although he was not feeling good on Friday ,he still performed to the MAX!!!

This was my first time attending this event and it will not be the last! The concert hall was great and the usher staff were even great! They were very accomodating in insuring people were comfortable! I saw them redirecting a lady to another available seat for comfort! The performers were top notch; especially Jarrod Lawson, Lalah Hathaway, and Brian Culbertson! I will be back next year!

This was my second time attending the Low Country Jazz Festival. The concerts each night were simply unforgettable. All of the artists were fantastic and didn't short change you with their song selection. Of course, Brian Culberson and Jeffrey Osborne were my favorites.

Wanted to see these 3 artists for a while now but to see them all in one show was Christmas come early. It was an awesome show. Robert Glasper was amazing and funny too. Lalah was all that I had expected, did not fail to deliver. Her voice is effortless...truly gifted. Jarrod was great as well, looking for more to come from him.

This is basically my error. I needed to pay more attention. but if I knew Robert Glasper trio was performing i would have never bought a ticket. don't get me wrong now.. trio band is really good. but i had my HEART set for the experiment :-( .(Robert Glasper never comes this way-NC/SC so when I heard he was here I jumped at the chance and made arrangements to be there) and its just the same as you had your heart set for a certain type of food to eat for your meal and they bought you a dessert instead for your entree.. Overall the best sounding performer/artist of the night wast robert glasper trio. Trio was the best. but clearly its what type of music you prefer the most. Lalah dJ hyped up everybody that gave the boost we needed, if not we would had fell asleep. Jarrod the opening act he did awesome when it came to singing somebody else songs. Overall it was a nice setup/and cause to help the community.. I def will be back( in the meantime I will read carefully regarding what artist will be there before i commit tho..lolol)

This was probably one if the worst shows I have ever been to. Not only were the acts second class, but the sound system at the show made it even worse. I would have thought that at least Lala Hathaway was going to be good, but guess again. Maybe if the sound system would have been better, it MIGHT have been a little better. I could not wait for the show to end and if I was not there with goods friends, I would have walked out on the show mush sooner. I will probably never come back unless they have actual Jazz performers.

I can only say one great evening as I only went to opening night. This is my second LCJF and it was as good as the first one. I am already planning on attending next years events. The venue is great, not a bad seat in the house. The artists are wonderful and really get the audience involved, I love live music. Great Festival for a Great Cause. Would love to see everyone there, trust me, it will be one of the best night's of your life.
