Bright Star (Touring)

Bright Star is an original musical play with a storyline that will pull you in and won t let you go till the very end. Shubert has excellent acoustics and the singing is amazing. Don t miss it.

Saw this musical twice on Broadway. Couldn t wait for the tour! Amazing singing, captivating story, and electric energy! I m still singing the songs.

Though I had read the reviews, and have seen other Steve Martin stage productions, I didn't quite know what to expect. It was absolutely wonderful. The person who originally recommended it to me said it was "corny," but terrific. I suppose so. But I love "The Music Man," so I love corny. This was much, much more involved than "The Music Man," and quite a commentary on its time and place. The sets are minimal, but very effective, and the music...well, it is just amazing. If you like bluegrass, you'll love this. And if you don't know you love bluegrass, you'll probably come out loving it. The touring cast, headed by Audrey Caldwell, was superb. Her voice alone is worth the ticket price, but everyone in the cast was just amazing. My wife absolutely loved it, as did I. We came up from Virginia, just for the weekend, just to catch this. It was my birthday present to her, and included a round-trip Amtrak ride, and hotel stay. Needless to say, it was a chunk of money, but worth it at twice the price.

This one of the most creative and beautifully staged shows I have ever seen. The simplicity and flow of the set and characters matches the setting of a simpler time in rural NC. The music is so unique. Of course, all the references to NC make it fun and relevant. You will be so happy to experience this show. Don t miss it!

Great writing by Steve Martin and Edie Brickel. Cast was fantastic. Music was excellent. A must see for everyone.

From the moment the curtain went up to the moment it went down, the Bright Star cast and crew did an amazing job. It was brilliant and comes highly recommended.
