LEON BRIDGES IN CONCERT: Leon Bridges sings soul and gospel straight from the heart, forming an instant connection with audiences wherever he plays. This was our 2nd time at Toyota. We love it. We drove in from Fort Worth for Leon Bridges and I literally was swept. His performance made my top 5 of all time and I have seen hundreds of concerts! Cannot wait to see him again!

The event was amazing. The Wang is gorgeous. The warmup band was great. Leon Bridges & his band were incredible. Not as showy as I expected but really great performers, music was great. I couldn't say anything better about the concert. I would go a million more times & recommend to everyone.

Amazing performer and an altogether great show. The venue (Wang, Boston) was beautiful. Opening act Son Little started right at the show start time and was great. He definitely set the bar high. Leon came out and killed it. Lights, dancing and sonic quality was all top notch. I'll be seeing him again next time he is in town.

Can't say enough good things about this concert. The venue was fabulous, not too big. Leon is a bit old-school R&B and very, very good at it. The sound was perfect, we had our hearing when we left. The level of talent from Leon and the band is off the charts. Would definitely see him again.

I had seen Son Little, who opened the show, a handful of times this past year. He's consistently brilliant, and the only downside was his set didn't last long enough! You really owe it to yourself to check him out. Now, I hadn't seen Leon Bridges before, but he was fantastic! One of those rare shows that sticks with you days after the last notes have been played. Outside of the music, Leon Bridges knows how to work a stage and pull his audience in.

Leon Bridges at this venue was perfect. Retro Soul at a Retro place. His soul styling and band were on the money all night long, everyone was up and dancing, the place was rocking. From the start of Smooth Sailin to the final solo of River this was one fantastic show. His band is super tight and makes his sound so much better live. If you are in the mood for the next big soul singer...GO SEE LEON BRIDGES!

After seeing Leon Bridges at Variety Playhouse last fall, I eagerly awaited for him to return to Atlanta. Not only did he return and put on an amazing show, but sold out a crowd over 5 times larger than his previous visit. His fan base is growing quickly, and there is no question why. His energy on stage and the quality of both his own and his performers art is like none other. I cannot wait to see him again!

Even though I had great seats on the floor in the fifth row, I was very disappointed with the show due to the poor sound quality. In particular, the opening act, Son Little. The sound was very muddy and I was unable to distinguish any lyric or spoken word by the artist. I promised myself, this is my last show of the Ryman. Tickets are outrageously expensive and I am tired of being disappointed by shoddy sound engineering. Both musical guests were fantastic! I very much enjoyed the music and will spend my hard-earned dollars buying their records as opposed to sitting through another crappy night at the Ryman.

Leon Bridges sounded amazing, but that was expected. What I didn't expect was his band members interchanging instruments, his awesome set design, and an amazing backup singer dropping some Sade on the crowd; all of which took the show to a more-than-expected level.

Opening act Son Little began the evening with some fabulous music but, sadly, the audience talked throughout and made it difficult to truly enjoy his talent. Then, when Leon came out, the mood shifted and everyone really focused on the music, the rhythms, Mr. Bridges' wonderful stage presence, etc. It was sheer fun and there was a palpable energy in the room. Both of this young artists are likely to go far and, hopefully, I'll be able to hear them again when they return to Atlanta.

This concert was magic. It took me back to an era I didn't even live in! I've seen and met Leon in a more intimate setting in Nashville earlier this year and his stage presence has come a long way. He didn't know where Columbus was back then but now he knows!! This guy couldn't be more humble and it's clear that it's all about the music and making people feel good with him. This was THE perfect show. Words can't describe, but I'll give it a shot. The sound was perfect. Each note was perfect. You have to go anyway, if only to see what LeonBridges is wearing! The man has serious style! He and his amazing band know how to rock their audience and keep them on the tips of their dancing toes. Speaking of that- you can't be in a room with his energy and sweet dance moves and NOT smile. It's not possible. I dare you to try. Serious good vibes and all kinds of good feels from being there. I'll be seeing him every chance I get. His band seems like the perfect talent/support for him, so fingers crossed to see each of them again too! Thanks to everyone who played any role, ever, in getting him to Birmingham on October 5th. My gratitude is deep! P.S. The lighting was highly worthy of mentioning: it was so beautiful and not harsh at all. That's important to some people, I know. Also worth mentioning: my seat was in the very back of the house and I'm still raving about this concert. That says a lot!

Leon Bridges is a wonderful singer and was accompanied by some great performers. He had so much energy and enthusiasm, it was all i could do to stay in my seat. What a voice! The venue was gorgeous. Only negative was all people that wanted to dance to his wonderful music were ordered back to their seating by Orpheum staff. A real let down by the venue.

Great show. I don't think my foot ever stopped tapping. Good mix of songs. Performed songs from his album, other stuff and a some new. His new stuff definitely rivals his Coming Home album which is awesome. I thought "Flowers" was performed too fast. Everything else was spot on! Only negative is he didn't acknowledge Oklahomans in the audience, only Texans. We were in Oklahoma which is where I live, but, me hold a grudge? Never! I would still see him again.

Leon Bridges truly is an AMAZING singer and performer. His energy is through the roof. Dance moves are dope! Only complaint would be that the venue was SUPER hot. Place is awesome but if they could find a way to make the air run through there better it would be great! It sucked that we paid nearly 250 for our tickets for it to be so hot we wanted to pass out. Leon kept us alive though!

Leon Bridges and his band were great! Tight grooves, soulful vocals, and not overkill on the production. The venue was a surprisingly good, too. It was over 90 degrees outside, but they kept air moving and we never got too hot. We were sitting under cover, though, which I'm sure helped.

Jon Battiste opened for Leon Bridges and he played with the finesse of a classically trained pro, which he is, and the excitement of Lil Richard, without being flamboyant!!! Both guys had great bands!!! Leon then sung his heart out!! Very entertaining adult concert by these 2 fine young men!!!

We saw Leon Bridges at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving Texas and were not disappointed !! Show started on time, sound was great, view was great and the screens visible and clear. Concession was easily accessible and fast service. Bathrooms were clean and not a long wait. Tip for first time visitors- use the restrooms and concessions on the right side of the stage, not as crowded as the entrance side. Only one issue was credit card reader was not working on the line I was in, swiped 3 different cards and finally just paid with cash.

Recommend lawn seating. Stretch out, chill among people, drinks easily available, bring blankets to sit on...dance, etc. Music was fantastic. Good mix of old album and new. Great style.

It was too loud. Don't misunderstand; I'm not saying it was too loud for my ears, it was too loud for the sound system. The mix was terrible and the speakers couldn't take the volume. I don't think I understood a single word he sang. And the best instrument Leon has is his voice. This was not the venue for him. And after seeing this show, I will rethink my idea of buying tickets for Florence and the Machine.

So my best friend and I travelled all the way from Little Rock, gussied-up real fancy, walked into a gorgeous venue, and we couldn t DANCE to Leon Bridges. Have y all even heard his jams? This was an abomination. I purchased floor tickets to up my chances of an R and B ear-pregnancy, and I had about 1.5 square feet to hold my beloved close and swoon. Unacceptable.

Leon Bridges is a must-see performer. His songs are catchy and delightful when listening at home, but will blow you away in person. He cranks up his up-tempo songs to a feverish speed, and slows his croons down to a heart-rending speed. And to top it off, his dance moves and audience interaction will keep you engaged for hours at a time! His band is also wonderful as they easy keep up with Leon's intense presence. Thoroughly enjoyed Bridges show. The music was great. He is quite an entertainer. The unfortunate part about it was the crowd. They stood up the moment he arrived on stage and did not sit down for the entire show. Concert tickets are expensive. Not being able to see the performers or having to stand the entire show is ridiculous.

I was surprised he didn't save some of his hit singles for the end of the show. The theatre shows already bring an interesting mix of standing and sitting guests which can be a little awkward.

What a disappointment! Leon Bridges is such a wonderful talent and on this particular performance, the sound quality failed him, his band and everyone that paid good money to see him. The Alabama Theater is a great venue with good acoustics and I have never heard such poor sound mixing. The sound of the drums completely overwhelmed all of the other sound.

I love Leon Bridges music and was looking forward to enjoying a live performance. I was looking forward to grooving on his velvet vocals, instead I wound up hating the show because the sound distortion from the speakers made his lyrics sound like rice falling on a metal trash can lid. Speakers sounded shattered. Vocal coil was shot, subwoofers rattled the timpani membranes. Performance was at the Tennessee Theatre.

Ive been listening to Leon for ages, but getting to see him as such a personality on stage was unreal. Sitting second row, I watched as every dance move and note showed he was having an honest good time. Also Lianne La Havas was unreal and so sweet! this was our second time seeing leon bridges and, just like the first time, he did not disappoint! he is charming, talented, and intriguing. his sound is unique for the times and reminds me of the old Motown music my parents raised me on. excellent opening act by the way! the only reason the night did not get five stars was the venue. seating chart was pretty misleading. I thought I bought floor seats, but we were up in the mezzanine. I wouldn't have spent that much money on seats so far away had I known! also, the venue is cash only. in 2016. seriously?

Liane La Havas was AMAZING, as expected. I was really looking forward to hearing Leon Bridges live. I had yet to buy the cd but had sampled it and thought it would be an amazing concert. What made his performance subpar for me was really the fact that I could barely understand him. He tended to do more dancing than singing and at times his show seemed more about the band than him. Lisa Sawyer was amazing but it was one of the few moments he stayed at the microphone long enough to appreciate what sounds like a really good voice. I imagine that with time he will develop a wonderful stage performance and presence. But I did not feel like I got my money's worth at this concert and I actually left early

Wow, this concert had everything. The music was diverse and was so much better live. Leon puts on a show to please. If you don't like this then you don't like music, regardless your taste.

Lianne LaHavas in my opinion stole the whole show. Her performance was spot on and every song was tight. I am a fan, so of course I am biased. But all around me were people asking "who is this? Wow. She is awesome. Soulful". I'm glad Leon brought her on the tour so more people are exposed to her awesome talent!

What a "refreshing" show....he sang, danced and truly liked what he was doing. Leon wanted you to have a good time at his concert. I took my three daughters, ages 19, 16 and 13. I never felt anything was inappropriate for the girls. The crowd really enjoyed themselves, everyone was happy.

Leon Bridges was a nice act with a tight band. If you are a fan, like me, of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, then he's right up your alley. He even did a Sam Cooke cover. The opener was Smooth Sailing, probably his best known song. The last song (before encores) was River, another favorite of mine. Unfortunately for Bridges his opening act, LiAnne LaHavas, was awesome and he kind of paled in comparison. She's a great songwriter, has an amazing voice, is a more than competent guitarist and oozes stage presence. If she isn't a household name by the end of next year, I may just give up on music.

Leon Bridges gives you everything he's got on stage. The band has been with him for a long time and it shows! They were tight and sharp. Lots of entertainment. We loved it.

Masonic Aud is almost 100 years old. Needs much TLC. This time the musty smell was gone. The staff here are not to be believed; courteous, not rushed, nor hurried. Need to accept credit cards for concessions. Or warn of not doing so, on tkt info. Other great! Leon is a great entertainer, and hope to see him st Grammy awards next year. Lianne LaHaves is also a super entertainer; very personable. Crowd loved her

Sometimes when an artist has been touring for awhile, as Leon has, they lose their energy and put on a lackluster show. Boy, Leon delivered! I had high expectations as I had been wanting to see him for a good eight months, if not more, and the night was perfect. Well worth your money and time to see Leon live.

I had purchased tickets for the Leon Bridges show over half a year before it happened. I was so looking forward to seeing him perform in the small theater venue. I already loved his studio work, as I love how it spans genres and hearkens back to the music of earlier decades, but still feels incredibly contemporary and relevant. Experiencing his music and energy live was ridiculously good fun. He absolutely brought it that night. His vocals were so solid, and his energetic movements and dancing were so much fun! The band and back up vocalist Brittany were integral parts in making this concert so enjoyable. The stories he shared before a song added a personal touch, and he also allowed for a lot of crowd participation. Plus, the opener Lianna La Havas also makes incredible music, and her vocals were stunning to hear live. She is so delightful, and I feel that she gave a very honest performance.

Leon was a good time concert, fun and full of good energy. The sound for both the opener and Leon was terrible. The bass was turned up way to high all night, there was feedback in the backup vocal mics, and just mix was off all night.

Lianne La Havas opened. She was Ah.Mazing. She sang beautifully and is completely charming. She keeps the audience enthralled. Then came Leon. I did not expect him to be as energetic as he is. I don't know what I expected but I never watched videos of him, I only listened. Such an entertainer but so humble still. Amazing performance. I loved how he pays tribute to his band mates and includes the behind the scenes crew as well. What an unforgettable night. The venue is basic. I liked that every seat was general admission. There are no seats really, just the concrete steps but everyone winds up standing during performances so that doesn't really matter. It was such a pleasure to listen to all of these happy people play beautiful music. We loved it!

Leon and his band were such fun. You could tell they were enjoying themselves on stage. Leon Bridges was so entertaining dancing around the stage and fully engaged with the audience. It was a treat too when he gave each band member a chance to shine. I'm so happy I got to see him before his tickets sky rocket.

Leon Bridges puts on an unbelievable show. He is energetic throughout the entire performance, he dances around the entire stage and involves the audience as much as he can. This was my third time seeing him perform and I'll definitely go again and again.

I always knew Leon had talent. We really enjoyed meeting him a few years ago while he played local venues in Fort Worth, before he was signed to a major label. What we did not realize at the time was just how many talents he possessed. I believe that he does his own choreography, and just has a stage presence that separates him from his peers. He puts on quite a show and deserves all of the rave reviews he receives.

Best concert this far coming in close with his acoustic intimate performance at Shipping and Receiving. He feels the music and that flows out to the audience and has the entire venue standing, dancing,moving and feeling the music!!! He is truly one of a kind talented artist!! This concert was so much fun! The music and performance was excellent - great sound, great energy, great presence. They played song after song, but Leon would pause once in a while to tell a story or get the audience fired up. By the time the encore came, everyone was standing and dancing and cheering.

Leon gave a soulful and high energy show reminiscent of Sam Cook, Otis Redding, Chuck Berry and Jackie Wilson rolled into one. He gave us our money's worth. There was diversity in songs, tempo, instrumentation, and even the audience. He has wide appeal from baby boomers, like myself, who remembered the above-mentioned artists to millennials just discovering this sound and from black to white and male to female. The crowd (sold-out?) loved him, and didn't budge when he "concluded" his set. His encore was about 15-20 minutes long!
