A truly awesome, unforgettable musical experience. Great songs, vocalists, lyricists, orchestra, poetry, images, history sharing, and more. Would do it again in a heartbeat. A must-see show, by all means. Congrats to the Directors and Producers!

I was surprised to get the Ticketmaster email announcing this event and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But it was beautiful, heartbreaking, amazing performances and it was filled with some information that I learned years ago, so it refreshed my memory. It included images I had never seen before e.g. footage of Mamie Till, the mother of slain Emmett Till. The mixture of vocalists paired with an orchestra and hip-hop was new to me, but the presentation was excellent. If they do it again next year, I will be back. The members of The Soul Science Lab created a unique Black History program that I won't forget. Program Highlight: hearing Abiodun Oyewole (a member of The Last Poets) deliver a spoken word piece.

This was a true musical and visual journey from Africa to the present day African-American experience. Incredible musicians and vocalists! You will laugh, cry, and rejoice, but you leave feeling free!

Simply amazing, the music, and messages were so compelling. Astounding talents.

Event was awesome musicians and singers under a backdrop of videos recounting the histor of the black freedom movement. The theatre is historic and gorgeous. The only issue was that the volume got louder as the evening went on and became quite uncomfortable. I was in front mezzanine. Couldn t even understand many of the lyrics. Not necessary and should have been at least 15dB softer.

Wow, what amazing violinist, saxophonist, drummer, singers...the entire orchestra were absolutely amazing with wonderful story telling. Well done, wish more young adults were there to see how far we have come and how we must continue to push!

Tour de force! An artistic masterpiece that is a must see for people of ALL ages.

One of the best show of it's kind. I loved every moment of the show, and hope they do it again next year.

Powerful show. Thought provoking. Love the content however it was advertised with having Rihanna Giddens and Leon Bridges as being part of the performance. Yes, indeed, they did perform. One song each and during the closing number. With all due respect these are extraordinarily talented and gifted artist who should have played a much larger part. I bought tickets for me and several friends because over the years, I have raved about Rhiannon Giddens .Given Ms Giddens and Mr. Bridges respective catalogues this made perfect sense given the concept. What a perfect idea.Thats why we all came. We were sorely disappointed. SoulScience was amazing. Too much ChenLo though. The overall execution of the show was flawless but disappointing given my reasons above.

Soundtrack 63 was memorable as a trip across the centuries of the horrific path of slavery and magnificence of the expressive creativity of a culture...horrifying and magnificent.
