Donnie McClurkin
For gospel singer and preacher Donnie McClurkin, music and spreading the word of God are one and the same. His concerts mix gospel standards, stirring originals, impromptu medleys, covers of secular hits and joyful discussions about the power of faith. McClurkin’s style is smooth and sophisticated, but he can still get crowds amped up with his genuine passion and unwavering devotion. It makes for a celebratory live experience, which was perfectly captured on his most recent album, the 2008 live recording We Are All One, which led to the single “Wait On The Lord.

This was one of the best Gospel Fest we have attended. The local choir was amazing. The Men of Texture was all so Annointed, Appointed, and served the crowd with AMAZING spiritual messages and performances. You got to go see for yourself, you will not be disappointed AT ALL. THe venue seats were so uncomfortable, however, the building is beautiful. It was very close to the BEAUTIFUL, SPACIOUS, MODERN, CLEAN, Townplace Suites on Mercer University.

The best Gospel concert I've attended and I've been to many. The performances were holy spirit filled and the audience participation was at a high level. The anointing on each of these men and women of God was awe inspiring. I'll never forget the way I started off the New Year. I praised and worshipped my way into a new level blessing with the assistance of these great minstrals/psalmists. God Bless them ALL!!

What a way to start off the New Years! This was a truly blessed event for those that attended. It was a concert and worship service all rolled into one. All the artist was great - But FREDDY HAMMOND blew the roof off the Boardwalk Hall. The crowd was so orderly - I was really impressed because the last time I went to a concert was back in 1993 when I was in the world. Beautiful - Concert - both myself and my niece, Sonia agreed that there are no real words to describe the experience.

The only problem was the long wait in line. The concert event was worth the wait. I truly enjoyed myself, an hope their will be many more Gospel events at the Boardwalk Hall, it was so convenient for me to drive to AC fot this event, an the parking was excellent also. No hassle about where to park my car, it was right there at the Boardwalk Hall. I do think the parking amount of $20.00 was alittle expensive 10 dollars ok, not 20. It should be next time for event like that, No waiting in line such a long period of time.. The Gospel Event was wonderful. Please have more Gospel events at the Boardwalk Hall (PLEASE)

From the beginning to the end, every artist was a blessing to the audience. The opening choir had fantastic harmony. J Moss was wonderful but should have given one more selection. Pastor McClurkin ministered in his own way. We got a sermonette along with a selection of his best songs. Mary Mary blessed the crowd with some of their best songs and wrapped it all up with a moving testimony before tearing up the room with " The God In Me". The icing on the cake was the final artist (my favorite) Fred Hammond. He went from new to old, to older and back again. As if it weren't enough that Minister Hammond was singing all of these songs, then he call Pastor McClurkin back on stage to join him in some old school favorite. During the final selection by Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett came on stage to join in the song and praise. All I can say is If you were not there, you missed an anointed service. I truly hope and pray that we see more events like this being presented in Atlantic City. The devil should have been real nervous that night.

A Lovely blessed experience! Each of these artist deliver a show in their own style and technique that gets young and old moving and praising! J. Moss got the crowd started...Donnie McClurkin does it like no other...Mary Mary, my girls, phenomenal!!! Both sisters, Erica (while 6 months pregnant!!) and Tina (who recently gave birth 2 months ago!!) held nothing back, moving and shaking. They certainly got the crowd with 'Get Up' and 'God In Me'...nothing was held back they gave there all and more! Fred Hammond...gotta love him!!! He is just spectacular! I left this concert inspired and empowered! Can't wait for the next one!

What an anointed, awesome experience. All of the performers were superb. Even though we were seated far away because we waited until the last minute to purchase tickets, we enjoyed every moment. It was a little difficult to hear at times, but overall we enjoyed the entire concert. Hopefully this was the first of many more to come. The parking was convenient and inexpensive. The event staff was accommodating, and the workers at the concession stands were courteous and professional. This was a wonderful way to begin the New Year.

Awesome...awesome...awesome show! We had a great time praising God! J. Moss, Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary and Fred Hammond were awesome. However, the sound system was off & on at times; there were also late getting started and long pauses in between the groups. I would suggest better soound technicians next time and maybe a comedian or something in between each peforming singer instead of the long pauses.

Overall, the concert was awesome! I had good seats. However, what was with the microphones? Most of the time everyone sounded muffled. If you didn't know the words of the songs, you were lost. There were a couple of times when CeCe was visibly talking, but there wasn't any sound coming out. Twice during separate performances, there was a loud mic screech. BOARDWALK HALL NEEDS TO WORK ON THESE THINGS. I loved the performances from Donnie and Fred. "OLD" they are not. No way should they ever think of putting an end to performing. It was true worship. With them, I was out of my seat the entire time. Tears, tongues, the whole nine yards. If only their performance time could have been extended. Talking about "old school" music, what a great incorporation to the set. Mary & Mary were also good. Six months pregnant, you could have fooled me. You go girls! I personally prefer more praise and worship vs. jump/jump music. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed them. I have and love their Cd's and will continue to support them. Maybe you can help explain the delay in their start. They had to be intro'ed 3x's. WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT? This was my first time hearing J. Moss in concert. His voice is beautiful and different. He needs to work on his performance so that it syncs with his music. I was upset that he did not sing my favorite song, RESTORE, but instead had us sing along with the pre-recorded version. Can I get a discount? I hope that I am not babbling. I just got home from AC and wanted to give you my review of the concert. Please don't see this as "downing", I am already looking forward to the next concert.

I have been to many a concerts over the course of my life but this is the first concert I Ever attended that actually started over 1 hour late. The sound stage people need a little more practice. The music was so loud it overpowered the voices of most the singers. Fix the voice level ratio to music level and start the concert on time and it would have been a great show!!

2010 vision is better than 2020 vision. Every eye doctor will confirm this, so this is the year of vision. This event was an anointing, spiritual, and visionary breakthrough event. God wants our vision to be clear this year, so we can clearly see his promise to us. Think vision this year and God will do the rest. J-moss opened the event and was awesome. Pastor Donnie followed and his testimony was so visial you see why his mission from God will be known to all. Mary Mary was my favorite (and I'm a guy) lool these 2 vessels of God have voices of true angels, they can out sing anybody. I thought they were just the ordinary- but they have truely extraordinary voices, and the God in Me song tore the roof off the house. Fred Hammond is so anointed his songs are so beautifully done. He was the headliner and brought out Pastor Donnie and TYE Tribbet out for a song. Like I said it was so visially clear. Can't wait to SEE all the things God will show us this year. Vision vision vision!!!!!

My husband and I took a jaunt to Macon, GA to enjoy the Festival of Praise! The event was held on Easter and we wanted to celebrate Easter praising our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We were so pleasantly please! The program began with the choir Rock n the House. I tried to remain in my seat, but I just couldn t. That Festival of Praise Choir came to sing praises. Yes! This event is a Festival of Praise and much more. You just must get your ticket and go see it for yourself.

It was interesting being a part of a live taping. You realize what you see on television isn't what happens. What you see on tv is edited. My only complaints are - the doors were suppose to open at 6PM. They had us standing outside in the cold until 6:40. Their response was they were having technical problems. To me that wasn't a good excuse because when we got in, they still had problems. Also it didn't start at 7 but at 8. My other complaint is the venue. You have to pay to get in AND pay a cover charge. The waiters rushed the food out and there was no place to put everything.

Checked out the Donnie McClurkin and Fred Hammond show (Festival of Praise) last night at the Lyric in Baltimore, MD. They hit the stage at 8:00 and left the stage at 10:20, non-stop music. The production was incredible - first class. They weaved in and out their hits, but also strategically performed other gospel artist's music as well. Most touching were the personal testimonies of each artist's physical struggles (Fred with his double knee replacements and Donnie's bout with throat cancer and diabetes). Beyond the obvious struggles, both were in great voice and the music was live with very little assistance from backing tracks. If they come back this way again or if you find they are performing in your area, I strongly suggest checking them out. Peace.

This was vintage Fred and Donnie, sharing their life experiences as they ministered in worship. There's something about hearing from people who've really lived life, experienced the ups and downs, and are still standing strong in the faith because of where God has met them. It truly takes one's faith to a different level. The music was wonderful too, all the classics, the songs we associate with them. Then some new stuff from Fred's upcoming album, which is already sounding very good. I would have happily paid twice as much as I did for the excellent seats and amazing performances. God bless them both!

Fed Hammond was flashing the illuminati devil horn sign the entire night. The show with 3 women lip synching 1 song each including the Hammond daughter and McClurkin sister. Then the DJ/Emcee JD Lawrence did a strangely out-of-place hip-hop way too loud set including AL Green. The headliners, an alarmingly thin Donnie McClurkin suffering through a diabetes incident and Fred Hammond did a few numbers. After a bizarre short movie clip Donnie and Fred came out and sat in chairs talking about their medical problems before doing a couple songs. After whichthe show can to a complete halt while they shilled for one of the adopt an African kid charity scams. Guilt tripping audience members into signing up. The show ended with a couple more big hits like Victorius.

The volume was so loud that the vocals and band turned to mud during the more uptempo songs. The quieter songs sounded great. The lights left a lot to be desired--any amateur knows you have to front-light dark-skinned people. It seemed like the light person didn't know the music, because when a soloist would step to the front of the stage their solo would be mostly over before the spotlight hit them. All in all a solid show, but it was also only about 65-70% music and the rest testifying and promoting World Vision.

The Super Choir of about 1000 people as the opening act was awesome. they were on stage and on the floor in front of the stage. Wow that got everyone going. Donnie was great but he held back a few of his most popular songs and promoted the All the Kings men Concert with he and others that will be coming up. Yep going to that one too!!!! Great seats since we did not wait. Good sound system and everything was nice at the facility.

This concert is an experience that I will never forget. Even though the event started late, it was well worth the wait. Every act did a superb job getting the crowd involved in the show and the presence of God was truly witnessed in the venue. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera to take pictures of this awesome experience. Surprise appearances by Tye Tribbett and Kierra "Kiki" Sheard really spiced up the concert. I think there should be more events like this because they are truly needed in difficult times like the one in which we currently live. People's spirits need to be edified, encouraged, and empowered so they can do their part to make this earth a better place for all who inhabit it and for all who will come to inhabit it. Finally, I had the time of my life at this concert and look forward to the next concert like this one at Boardwalk Hall. It proved a phenomenal way to commence the new year and decade.

all of the artists were great. The sound quality was very poor in the auditorium., There were too many long pauses between artists and Fred Hammond was rushed to meet a time schedule

My husband got these tix for me for Christmas. At first I was going to take a friend because I didnt think he would enjoy it. He is a new Christian and not all that into the music yet. Boy did he prove me wrong. God was definitely in that place. We had an amazing time, and it turns out that Donnie McClurkin was his favorite. He even asked me to look for other gospel concerts that are coming to our area. What a blessing to be in that place at that time.

This was a great, affordable event. We were there 4 or 5 hours and still wanted more, especially from Donnie McClurkin.

What an awesome musical worship service I attended this evening! May God get the glory and praise due His Holy Name! My spirit rejoiced, my feet danced and my hands are still clapping when I think about how these gifted talent ministers did not perform but actually minister to our spirits, what a way to begin the new year. Would not have missed it for the world!

The Gospel Celebration 2010 was joyful and energetic! The artists could have ministered a little longer, but I understand the time constratints placed on them. It was obvious that Fred Hammond gave the crowd extra time and sent us home rejoicing. I will definitly make sure I attend the next event!

I was overwhelmed. Everyone performed there best and fred hammond was great with his 13 minutes and kept looking at his cell phone . I enjoyed that. I would recommend everyone that performed at THIS CONCERT. MARY MARY Performed wonderful especially the work out they both gave me and being that one is in shape having a baby she was so energetic I had 2 get up.

I was disappointed because the show was supposed to start at 5pm, but actually started at 6pm. Each act that performed [4] was rushed through their sets. Although the show was awesome and the Holy Spirit was in the house, had the performers not been on a time frame, i believe their comfort level would have been higher. Hope there will be many more Gospel concerts to attend in the coming months and years. Thanks much!

This concert was a time to really worship the Lord and not just a concert. The gospel artist came to sing as unto God and lift up the name of Jesus. I left feeling like I had been in the presence of God's people. It was truly a wonderful evening.

This event was excellent! and will do this again. We arrived to the venue during the last song of the first act (J. Moss). This was due to two factors 1) two accidents on the way to the venue from Virginia to Atlantic city and 2) parking difficulties (it took us over an hour to find parking). Donnie McClurkin and Fred Hammond was great...Mary Mary was not so great, I expect a little more at a concert and I was not feeling them at all.

I thought the concert was amazing, but it took forever for the performers to come out on stage. Then in between every performer the crew would take like 15 to 20 minuted setting up equipment. I was also upset when Donnie McClurklin didn't get to sing "We Fall Down but We get Up" because there was such a long set up in between. Overall the concert itself was great though.

The show of itself, was good but it could of been great if the sound system was better set up. I am not sure if it was because the building was old or something, but the sound was so very off. M&M came on stage and they made the sound system work for them, but they also took a VERY long time to perform. Their first song "Shackel" sound horrible, but thwir next few songs were really good. I am not a fan of M&M but their performance at that building made me become one of their fans. They cared enough to make sure that what they put up were up to part when it comes to performing to their audience. I am still a die hard fan of Donnie but he broke my heart with his announcement...Fred H. was really good even with the microphone acting up every now and then. I pray that the next concert will not be in that hall again. One good thing for future I learned is that before I buy tickets for a show, I must do my homework with the location and not show the entertainers.

The organization and timeliness was horrible and took away from the entire performance. The concert started 30 minutes late and there was way too much set-up time between acts. A concert that should have lasted no more than 3 hours dragged on over 4 1/4 hours. J. Moss should have spent more time singing and less trying to get people to stand up. Donnie McClurkin could have had a shorter set-up time and longer performance. Mary Mary had a great performance but they were late, and the acoustics were horribly loud at the floor level. The only act that seemed to have an organized, quick set-up and on-time performance was Fred Hammond. Having been to several other Donnie McClurkin( & friends) concerts which were joyous experiences, I was terribly disappointed by this one.

I enjoyed myself. Even though I didn't have a seat on the floor, I saw everyhing. Anytime Mr Donnie comes to town, I'll be there.
