This concert by far was the BEST concert that I've attended this year! This was the first time I've attended a concert at the Scope...Hampton Coliseum has to step their game up! The show started on time, had very few intermissions and the lineup was amazing! The seating was great, no extended rows that prohibit a fast exit if you needed to go to the bathroom! I always purchase floor seats so that I can be close to the action and even took a selfie with Vanilla Ice! Everyone on the roster showed up, performed their hearts out and took us back in time with the wonderful, feel good music we grew up loving! Coolio, All 4 One, Rob Base, Kid N Play, Salt N Pepa and Vanilla Ice all earned standing ovations that night! I couldn't say one thing negative if I tried and will pay to see them all again!

Great energy. Great performances. Vanilla Ice had a lot going on on stage. I couldn't keep up with him. I get the ninja turtles because of his song from the soundtrack. But why was Megatron, Beetlejuice, a giant ape, clowns, etc all over the stage? He had a blast though. Some small child (she had to be no more than 10 years old) was dancing her little legs off on stage. Great time.

This was a great show, everyone done very well and they were all very friendly and connected with their fans, especially Vanilla Ice he loved his fans and stayed over for about an hour to take pictures and sign autographs. He thanked everyone for being there and was just down to earth and humble, I would love to see this concert again!!!!!

This was one of the LEAST memorable shows that I've been to in ages; I see about 30 shows year. Virtually nothing is played, or built live - all sound is prerecorded, so the show consists of a bunch of formerly-famous people talking/singing over a beat with gobs of overweight white-folk making cell-ph videos of everything around them. Tone Loc still has the voice that you remember, Young MCs set was v. short, Rob Base has lost his EZ Rock, Coolio looks like he should go (back?) into rehab, and with the exception of Salt-n-Peppa (we left before they come on)the other bands don't even deserve mention. The MC of the evening (literal sense) attempted to hold it together between acts; filling the gaps between sets while the stage manager tried to herd the former talent, but he was an amateur. They would have done better with someone (like) Chris Rock, who could keep the energy high. The musicians looked annoyed at the tech running monitor sound, and one of the intros included instructions to the guys who run the spot-lights, presumably because they didn't have it together enough to use their radios/walkie talkies/ house manager?? Sound was mediocre, so we both needed earplugs. If this all sounds like a good time, knock yourself out, but your $150 might be better spent buying some records, 12"s, CD or videos of these guys when they were (& deserved to be) still riding high.

This was a great trip back in time, bringing back many great memories. All acts were great, although Vanilla Ice did do a lot of talking about old times between songs that seemed to drag on. HIs first song was something new(?) and showed scary movie scenes on the screen. I didn't get it. He was cool and hung out on the side of the stage after the concert was over, just milling with fans while Bob Marley songs played, so that was cool. Salt n Pepa were awesome, sounding like they did in their prime. All 4 One was a great suprising highight, singing their popular songs, but covering many other 90's artists such as Boys 2 Men. All in all, this was a good trip down memory lane and I really enjoyed it. The concert flew by with minimal set changes and DJ music between acts.

The venue was nice and set up well. All-4-One was good, Kid-N-Play good, Rob Base ok, Salt-N-Pepa good, Vanilla Ice wasn't. Too bad also, since he was the main attraction. He filled the stage with girls from the crowd for 75% of the show and make it not so good. The seats in front of the giant speakers might have been a problem, all we heard was bass for a lot of Salt-N-Pepa and especially Vanilla Ice

I am glad i did not pay more for my tickets. I attended the show with a great group of people so the evening was good. The performers should have played more of the music they are remembered for. At times it felt like they were promoting a new album. Most of us there wanted to experience the 90's like we once did. It was a little disappointing. The spectators and atmosphere made the night.

I loved the atmosphere. Each group of performers played several songs..... But salt and peppa stole the show my far. There was a short intermission between each group and they played live dJ remixes of all the great dance songs. I thought everyone did great but I wish they wouldn't have ended it with vanilla ice. He was a one hit wonder and he continued to throw water bottles and actual water into the crowd for his entire performance (around 48 bottles). The crowd started leaving around his 2nd song. All in all it was a great concert and I would see it again!

Some acts came out without a whole lot of glitz or glamour (Young MC, Tone Loc, Coolio, etc.) but the show was still totally worth it...even for our expensive floor seats. Salt and Pepa were still soo good and fun to watch. As a whole the entire night was like a giant non-stop dance party (90's music played by the DJ in between acts and everything). Some acts even did songs by other 90s stars playing more favorites. I have never seen anything like it! Just total fun until....the last act...Vanilla Ice. I realize not many of his songs were like Ice Ice Baby but a. let's face it that's all most everyone wanted to hear and b. most everything else he did totally spoiled the awesome vibe built up by the others. If I see a show with other friends in a different state with the same lineup we will just leave when he comes on.

The show was great until vanilla ice came out. For whatever reason he was the headliner and was last to go. It took the crew 20 minutes to set his stage up and then he came out giving monologues in-between songs and his hypemen were throwing water in the crowd. I left the show early and so did half the stadium. Other than that I had a great time but Mr ice ice baby should've went first and did his one hit ONLY.

Get your 90's gear on and put on your dancing shoes! This concert was a total blast from the past. We had so much fun. I think Coolio or Salt n Pepper should have been the headliners. I was a little disappointed. The Baxter arena is a terrible place for a concert. Seats were too close together, waited in line 40+ minutes for a drink, parking situation didn't seem very logical. Thoroughly, enjoyed every set, some more than others. Excellent vibe, the scene was energetic and the performances were on point. Kidd & Play killed it!! By far, my favorite act. Vanilla Ice was good but not great. I expected him to dance to "ice ice baby" but it didn't happen instead he allowed too many people from the audience on stage which looked like a mob and diminished his act. Also, what's up with throwing water bottles into the crowd? Looked like he was trying too hard. I thought the smoke machines were lame, the ninja character, the clowns and the robotics were cheesy. I wanted to hear 90's music not see a cheap carnival act. I was disappointed he didn't perform 520 but he at least kept the tempo up beat.

Salt n Pepa were the best act by far! Kudos to the other artists (Coolio, Young MC, Tone Loc, All for One) because they sang their hits and sounded great. Salt n Pepa should have either been the finale or they should headline their own show. Vanilla Ice was AWFUL! Inflatables on stage? Banners promoting his TV show? We had no idea what he was singing and it sounded terrible. People started pouring out of the arena, it was that bad. Of course we all wanted to hear Ice Ice Baby, but sticking around to watch 100 random people from the crowd dancing on stage to music we've never heard was NOT worth sticking around for.

This show was extremely disappointing. The tickets were a birthday gift for my daughter and she too, was very much disappointed with the entire show or lack of. Coolio did not sound like Coolio and probably should retire or lay off the booze. There was a 20 minute intermission and for what?? Each performer wasn't on the stage longer than 20 minutes with at least a 10 minute wait between each one!! They didn't have to make stage changes, the DJ stand was the only prop everyone used. Salt n Pepa came out playing most of their new releases no one knew then proceeded to play some 80's throwbacks from other artists. The people next to me were asking me to decipher what the performers were saying half the time. Vanilla Ice was screaming so loud you couldn't understand his words or maybe my ear drums were busted. I don't know. Props to Cool Moe Dee and All 4 One...they were seriously the only ones who were decent and looked like they put some effort into the show. We would've been more entertained at karaoke bar or night club. I was embarrassed for them. I'm sad to say I wouldn't waste your time or your $ on this one.

Had a great time with two friends of mine. Hadn't seen any of these artists in concert ever. Kind of wished Coolio had completed his whole songs as opposed to doing one verse then stopping and moving to the next one. The concert felt rushed. I think Salt-n-Pepa should have closed the show as opposed to Vanilla Ice. His music was way too loud. I started losing my hearing by his third song and had to leave. Secondly, he rearranged his music to sound more modern. I thought it was unfortunate that one of the ushers came to my seat twice to tell me there is no video recording of this concert at all. That's funny because that was not mentioned during the purchase of tickets. All-4-One mentioned any pics and videos taken during their set that we should post to such and such site. Guess they didn't know we weren't "allowed." I truly couldn't get any good pics from the screen and my phone made everybody on stage look smaller than they were. Getting the zoom and focus right probably made it look like I was taking video but didn't have that opportunity. I was surprised the concert wasn't a little more attended. I think the arena was a little over half full.

First, let me say that we had a great time, and I was glad that we went. I had 3 real complaints, however. First, there were no big screens that allowed you to see the performers up close. So if you were not in the first few rows, then you couldn't see the acts well. Second, several of the acts sang songs that were not hits and nobody knew. If you're going to a retro concert, you're going to relive the "glory days," not to listen to songs you don't know. The first half of both Salt N Pepa & Vanilla Ice's sets were songs that nobody knew or could sing along to. Also, Vanilla Ice brought so many people up on stage, that we lost him in the crowd (again, no big screens), so it was boring. Half the crowd was sitting and playing on their phones through most of his set. The last 2 songs he sang were the Ninja Rap and "Ice, Ice Baby" which got everyone up. So, my suggestion would be to "cut the fat" from the acts. The concert started at 7:30 and didn't get out until midnight. It could have been a lot shorter and a lot more engaging if they would have only played the songs that were the big hits.

The performances were exceptional and they remain true to their love for the music in the 90's! All 4 One, Coolio, Kid N Play, Rob Base, Salt N Pepper and Vanilla Ice - top the charts in the 90's and again during their visit to Norfolk, VA. Their voices (harmony) remain "fresh" and for one night, the artist allowed me to relive the 90's again within my heart as a fan. If you have the opportunity to attend, I trust you will enjoy the show because if they decide to reappear in ORF - VA, I plan to attend. Note: I commend the venue (SCOPE) and all parties who participated in setting up the 90's show because the lighting, stage presentation and sound system were graced with perfection. ^^^^^^^^^

This event seemed so unprofessional. We were very excited and bought premium tickets. The length of time between each band and the random things such as the trivia to win shirts with theme songs from as far back as the 60's just made the event seem thrown together instead of being professionally produced. I was extremely disappointed. It had its moments but the performers seemed to depend on the audience for energy level and excitement instead of their own performance.

The show was like a house party from the time the DJ started!! SUCH FUN MUSIC! All the acts were great, still got "it", and were fun to watch. There was some down time in between acts because each act had their own DJ and their own crew. But in between each act, the "house DJ" would come on and keep the music coming.

The concert was good. A lot of great 90s songs that I recognized and enjoyed. Crazy part was most the songs sang weren't even by the artist singing it. However, Vanilla Ice act was RIDICULOUS. We were a group of many who walked out after his first song. It wasn't reminding me of the 90s AT ALL! Is was weird.... her threw water bottles at people and yet we were not allowed water bottles in the stadium. His act was a lot of his more recent music when we were there for the 90s hits. Also his stage setup with clowns and Halloween characters was just weird. I did not care for that part at all.

The was too much time between the different a artists without fun music to keep the energy alive. The few times a fun energy song would be played right before an act would start, the crowd would go wild! Why couldn't there have been one great fun DJ for the entire concert to make it one big party, instead of several shorts acts with long time to kill between sets?!
