The Big Ticket had such a great lineup this year! Best of all, the acts were pretty varied in their musical styles. Twenty One Pilots was the highlight of the day with The 1975 and 30 Seconds to Mars being close 2nd and 3rd. Frank Turner also had a great set! My only complaint is that the area for VIP wasn't close enough and off center for the main stage. However, I just joined the general admission crowd and had a way better time! Can't wait for next year!

Really loved the line up but the late start made it too many bands. Paid extra for VIP, felt it was over sold, too crowded but mostly very poorly executed. Some signage would have been nice so we know where you could and could not go. The sound was pretty poor as well . won't be spending my hard earned $$$ on this one again.

The whole concert was incredible. I did miss not being able to see Imagine Dragons but that was the only downside. We all had so much fun! It was my 13 year old nephew's first concert and he had a blast. Thanks 102.9 for an amazing venue with a ton of wonderful bands!

first time at metro park for a show. I will return for another as this is a great site. Many of us from brunswick ga are already planning for next year. Easy to find and family friendly. I do recommend binocolars but my place on grass was great as I could see preformers on both stages

Fun definitely stole the show by far but Paper Tongues and Grouplove were close seconds. Overall, the VIP experience is much better to avoid mosh pits but the VIP food choices were very lackluster and you would have to venture out to the long lines for better eating choices.

The Big Ticket was the best ticket in town. The bands were great. I especially enjoyed Group Love, Of Monsters and Men, and Fun. I was disappointed that Imaginedragons canceled, but all the other bands more than made up for it. The venue was cozy and people were friendly. It was my daughters first real musical event and they loved the whole experience. Can't wait for next year

All the bands were good but Of Monsters and Men and Fun were really good. Bush knocked me out. They were incredible!! Sat is VIP. Enjoyed the roominess and shorter lines for drinks. We will definitely do VIP again next year.

I loved Paper Tongues. I downloaded two music videos and an entire itunes album of theirs.. I enjoyed most of the artists and downloaded various songs from them. I was disappointed in the cursing from the lead singer of fun, but such as life. I had my 13 year old there and i wasn't happy with the f-bombs. I should not be surprised. Two other complaints, no security kept the people off of the poles and it blocked the view of many. There was a ton of pot in air too, but i expected that.

The show was from noon to 11 PM and there were plenty of different acts to enjoy. Two stages were set up, yet you could sit in one location and easily see both. The bigger bands played on the main stage and the lesser-known bands played on the second stage. The sound was fantastic, due to the design of Metropolitan Park. There were different foods and drinks to purchase, as well as, plenty of merchandise. I was thrilled to see Fun., Of Monsters and Men, and Bush play. It was great!

The lineup was excellent. There were some delays but that is to be expected. However the long delay before Grouplove should have been attended to so the audience is not left waiting/hanging. The audience was phenomenal and patient though. Silversun Pickups (the main reason I was there) had a poor low volume sound that appeared muffled. This was disappointing. VIP area left a bit to be desired. No wine and limited beer selection as well as not enough port a potty's. I assumed VIP would have a bathroom trailer with running water and some seats rather than some bleachers with a distant side view of the stage.

I was there from noon till the end of FUN.'s set. Sorry I missed Bush and Rise Against, heard they were amazing. Everyone who played there was great, some not as much as others, but X102.9 picked plenty of top performers. People like Sons of a Badman and The Joy Formidable, not to mention my wonderful FUN. They all put on a great show, and I will definitely buy next year's ticket as soon as they go on sale!

Slightly disapointed that Imagine Dragons could not make it, the concert over shot expectations by far. People were yelling and crowd surfing and the energy in the venue was unbelievable. Grouplove, although they played early in the day, managed to rally up some fantastic crowd response. Overall the event was a huge success and they best way to end the semester.

All of the bands had great performances, even the ones I wouldn't normally pay to go see had they been playing on their own. I had really wanted to see Grouplove, Of Monsters and Men, and Flogging Molly. All were great! Fun put on a great show too. I knew a few of their songs before the concert, but they were so great live that they may have found a new fan! The only reason I didn't give the concert 5 stars was because the venue allowed smoking everywhere, which I didn't know about ahead of time and wasn't on their information page. It even caused something to catch on fire underneath our bleachers. We had to jump out and wait for security to put the fire out. I recommend a designated smoking area next year. Also there was apparently another stage somewhere in addition to the 2 main music stages and you could hear the music from the third stage while the headlining bands were playing which was distracting and took away from the performances.

The harbor and the smaller local bands were nice. Although it was a bit hot at first, it was nice in the shade. The artists sound very studio-like, which i think is important. They all sang songs that the crowd knew. Monsters and Men got the crowd going along with FUN.Great concert would go again.

I sat beside a very uncomfortable father who had taken his daughter and I had my 9 year old who was actually older than the mid demographic and I was embarassed. I am the furthest thing from a prude. I can't believe this was a family channel event. We have watched thel ast two years on t.v. and it was the big deal to drive 8 hours to attend. I could have taken her to the local strip club.

Overall .... very happy with the concert and our seats. Downfall - Most artists only sang a couple of songs and did covers. Would like to see them do just their own songs. As well, other concerts I've attended, the big screen behind the artists will usually show close-ups of the singers and bands during their time on stage. Not once did I see this happen at this concert. Shame, really. Many were sitting far away from the stage. I'm sure the artists looked like little ants to them. For the sake of the fans, it would have been nice to see the big screen used for closeups of their favorite artists :(

The gray weather only contributed to the ambiance of the performance by Alt-J at the Big Ticket. I have been a fan since the release of An Awesome Wave; their second album This Is All Yours is just as incredible so I was pumped they were making an appearance in Jacksonville. This is a band that fully delivers live, the energy that flows from their music is uplifting and positive. I didn't stop dancing the whole time they were on stage. Best concert I have been to this year!!!!

Alt J was amazing hands down my favorite band, but when it comes to pure showmanship it comes down between young the giant and big data. Both shows were fun and filled with energy. Would recommend for anyone who loves to dance and relax all at the same venue.

It was a great event overall. The ambiance was fantastic with the lights and the fog. However, due to the event being on a Friday when most businesses are still open until 5 p.m., some people yearned to stay there all day from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Alt-J, Weezer and Fall Out boy put on quite the performances for us. The people who went were also hilarious and amazing.

Great event. Good variety of bands. I would suggest that Fall Out Boy probably should not have been the final headliner. Maybe a switch between Fall Out Boy and Weezer would have been more appropriate. Weezer put on a better show.

The music was great, and I was very impressed with the sound quality. There were two big problems: 1. There was no wine available anywhere in the venue. Wine should at least be offered in VIP area. 2. The bathrooms were deplorable, even in the VIP area... so maybe it was best that I didn't have anything to drink.

Some really weird bands opened. Big Data was definitely not my kind of music but the crowd seemed to enjoy them. Alt-J just stood there and their music wasn't that great to begin with so that performance was a snooze fest. J. Roddy had great energy and it was the first time hearing their music, they put on a great performance. New Politics lead singer had someone in the crowd hold him up as he performed a song. Also, he break danced and performed a couple cover songs. That band was amazing, definitely worth going to see if you get the chance. Chevelle put on a great show and sung the classics. Weezer just stood there and the quality of the performance was poor but they played all their popular songs. Fall Out Boy sounds 100x better on the radio, even their energy wasn't anything to brag about, definitely won't be going to see them again.

This was my first music festival and let me tell you I am extremely addicted now. I went with a friend who said it was arguably the best day of her life. Originally, we went in order to see The 1975, Twenty | One | Pilots, and Manchester Orchestra, but I definitely liked other bands there that I had never heard of. There was a great mix of genres, and it was rad listening to Jimmy Eat World while the stage I stood in front of was going through a set change.

A somewhat chilly event, but very enjoyable nonetheless. As we were interested in seeing the later bands, we only attended the second half of the lineup. Solid performances by several bands, although we weren't familiar with some of them and didn't have the "sing-along" concert experience. Thirty Seconds to Mars played a solid set, very similar to one seen this past October in Ohio, just a bit shorter. The only real complaint there was the fact that their anchor single, "The Kill", was an acoustic version. This is a really powerful song that really benefits from full instrumentation, and it falls a little flat as an acoustic. Chester Bennington did a fantastic job as the frontman of Stone Temple Pilots. Compared to their last (and somewhat weak) tour with Scott Weiland, the experience was exponentially better. Chester was in good voice and performed well, which Scott did not on the last go-round. The band was tighter and more in sync. This switch was a good decision, guys. Sometimes to keep the ship afloat, you have to throw the deadweight overboard. : )

My only complaint was the out of control mosh pits during jimmy eat world and adtr. It was difficult to stand up let alone enjoy the music and experience. Other than that, I had an amazing time. I crowd surfed, got to listen to several of my favorite bands up close, and made some new friends during all of that! I haven't stopped talking about it to my friends and family and it has been three days since the big ticket. Needless to say, it is deffinitely an experience I will never forget.

Started the day with Pepper at 1:45. Although they put on a good show, there was no energy to the crowd and my fiance was one of the 5 people that apparently knew them. Then there was nothing on decent for another 3 hours. A Day to Remember came on and they performed well. Had a memorable "hamster ball" trick, but only did it on one side of the crowd. There was still no energy in the crowd though. I have seen them before where the crowd goes wild. Then 30STM came on stage and Leto lit the crowd up. He was not going to allow a lousy crowd. The first 25 minutes of the set (60 minutes total) were all new songs. Yet, he got the crowd singing along anyway. He is an AWESOME performer. They leave the stage and STP w/ Chester comes on. The songs off their new album sounded fine, because they were written for Chester's voice and STP played as his back-up band. Chester sounded flat singing the classic STP songs. It was not good.

The line up was spectacular!!!!! Purchasing the VIP Tickets was a JOKE!!! VIP sitting more than 200 feet from the stage on high school portable bleachers and to the far right!!! Not even in line with the stage. Covered seating meant by the shade of a tree. Take a lesson from Palm Beach's stage settings Metro Park!!! DJ and crew from X102.9 were great hosts for the event. Sound and lighting matched the line up - fantastic. Oh and when it was brought to the parks attention that placing Sleeping with Sirens on stage 3 was a safety hazard not only for the band but also the audience because of low and easy stage access - the venue stepped up and moved them to stage 2. Great job coming from a Safety Professional. With exception of seating for VIP - loved it!!!! And People learn to pick up your own trash!!!!!

The lineup was good. The sound was so so. Either the person running both sound booths was clueless or they need to overhaul the equipment. The choice of food for the day was also pretty bleak. For being there all day and only having 5 choices it was pretty bad. And I'm really glad I didn't go in for the VIP tickets - what a waste of money.

This was my first time experiencing a huge music festival! Every single band was great and definitely knew how to put on a show! I was in such heaven for this fest! To have such wonderful music coming at me from all sides was unbelievable! I'm happy to say that I have a few new bands to get into now, and I can finally say that I've seen legends, some of my heroes, live, on stage, performing some of my favorite songs. I do want to turn a bit more bitter on this and say that I was extremely pissed that 3/4 of the crowds cleared out after Sleeping With Sirens played(late, just after 30 Seconds to Mars), which pushed back Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington, leaving barely half the field filled for these rock legends. I felt slighted on behalf of the band, who just tried to do the best they could with what they had. Jimmy Eat World had to do the same too. I love you guys!

Tge VIP wasn't worth the money. Last year you could get right up to the stage. This year it was nowhere near the stage in the front. You couldn't see much from the back of the stage because of all of the equipment. There weren't options for food/drink, and the lines were just as long as outside of the vip section. I spent 90% of the show outside of vip. Twenty one pilots, pepper, Frank Turner, Jimmy eat world, and dirty heads were the best performances in that order. I will go next year!
