I mainly went to see Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Buddy Guy, but Zakk Wylde left an impression with his guitar solo. Beth Hart also gave a good show as did Jonny Lang. There were some songs that I did not know and some bad audio engineering, some vocals were hard to hear. The Chicago Theater was a grand old theater, now it is worn out, old, dirty and really not a place that I want to go back to.

Very good show, lots of great acts mingling together, could've used more Dweezil Zappa, Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepard but overall very good show.
Bad sound, bad show layout and Jonny Lang was awful. I really wasted $200 on two tickets.

I had no idea what to expect from this concert as the information about it seemed a bit incomplete. So everything that happened and all the talented musicians that participated were one surprise after another throughout the entire show starting with Dweezil Zappa and Billy Cox opening the show. And from that point forward to was one after another of fantastic guitarists or singers who brought the Hendrix music to live and made this a great show. I never had the chance to see Jimi Hendrix when he was alive but from the energy and passion of this show it is easy to see that his music will live forever.

The experience Hendrix tour is an absolute extravaganza for any guitar lover! There is no other for him where you can assemble this money guitarists on one stage. Absolutely a fantastic concert! If you haven't seen it yet, you need to find A date near you and make it happen! Anytime I have the opportunity to see Buddy Guy perform I consider it a gift! The fact that he was up there Performing alongside so many other absolutely fantastic performers just puts it over the top! Zakk Wylde was also fantastic! The soulful rendition of Little Wing coupled with his walk out into the crowd during the solo was too cool!! Beth Hart was amazing as well! She has a wonderful voice that reminds me of Billie Holiday. Absolute amazing performance!

First off I'd like to say, I've seen Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang and Beth Hart play live before, so I knew this show would be a good one. What simply blew me away was the production and the way they rotated all the other musicians on and off the stage to also play their part. Growing up listening to classic rock n roll, I've always been a big fan of Jimi Hendrix, and he definitely would be smiling down from heaven as these shows are being performed! I've seen 70+ concerts and over 100 different bands/acts, and I put this show at The Taft Theater in Cincinnati, OH. easily in my top 10 list! If you love old rock, guitar gods and awesome musicians then you simply must take the time to go see this Experience Hendrix tour...you won't regret it!

Review of St. Louis Show 3/18/17. Holy crap! Words can't express just how great this show was overall. All the musicians came out and played absolutely incredible. The vocal performances were just stellar as well. One would think that with all the different musicians coming out and performing different song selections that there would be ups and downs through out the show. NOPE! From the first note and vocal to the last all were just 5 star darn near as perfect as they could be. Well done everyone. Can't wait to see it again in the future! Favorite moments: Finally had a chance to see Dweezil Zappa jam live! Excellent performances by a great talent! Zakk Wylde soloing up and down the aisles and Kenny Wayne Shepherd jamming the most incredible version of Johnny B Goode in tribute of Chuck Berry passing the same day. RIP Mr. Berry...

3 hours of non-stop electric guitar star talent in a comfortable showroom with nice staff & very cool Security Guards. I got 3-1/2 minutes of Zakk Wylde performing right in front of me when he came out into the audience like he does. Ana Popovic was fantastic (& the only female). I loved every minute of this concert & remembering Hendrix when I saw him live twice, once being at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967.

If I could give it more stars, I would. You don't need to know or like Hendrix music but if you do, this show will blow your mind. It is an absolute must for guitar fans! Excellent balance of performers. When Zakk Wylde went into the audience, playing the entire time, I thought there would be a riot but everyone was casual and got their pics/videos; all civilized. That damn Jonny Lang still sounds like a man beyond his years and like he had been suffering the blues forever!!! Still, my all time favourite player is KWS and with Noah belting it out, nirvana. Finished off with legendary, Buddy Guy. What's not to love If you can't make it to the guitar museum, hit this show up for some fine examples!

All star performances creating a refreshing tribute to the late Jimi Hendrix. The blues performances in the show led by Billy Cox were uplifting and powerful with an original flair transporting you through time with great connection to the original Band of Gypsies. The solo by Zakk Wylde where he went deep into the crowd to showcase his virtuosity was exciting and reflected the Jmi Hendrix guitar genius and freedom to break with normal conventions to create a moment for the audience. The Excellent vocals from Noah Hunt and the virtuosity of Kenny Wayne Shepherd had several notable segments that elevated the entire show with their unique up tempo passionate renditions of several iconic songs. All of the performances were very good and the blues cuts and play from the entire cast were phenomenal.

The new Kings Theatre was beautiful but the experience Hendrix tour is awesome, fantastic, loud and exciting. Zakk Wylde really energizes the crowd with his performance. Just because you can make lots of noise on metal doesn't mean you SHOULD. There were a couple of good covers. Zakk Wylde is atrocious. Like playing a chainsaw. Buddy Guy great but was on for 10 minutes at the end of 3 brutal hours. Total disservice to Hendrix. Never. Again.

The build-up to the headliners was far too long. 45 minutes of Zakk Wylde's repetitive, ridiculous triplets and hair whips was boring and the true musical low point of the show - which means a third of the show was a joke (and was not a display or celebration of the Hendrix Experience). Kenny Wayne was brilliant as usual, but did just a few songs. At least he gave us a full version of "Voodoo Cilld." Noah Hunt was strong as usual. Buddy Guy's time on stage was incredibly brief. Too bad Ana Popovic had left for Europe the day before. This is a poor room acoustically and the mix was terrible up front and quite muddy. Any performer on the left side of the stage was at a risk to not be heard and the vocals were occasionally lost.

Went to Electric Church last night with Zakk Wylde, Dweezil Zappa, Ana Popovic, Billy Cox, Doyle Bramhall II, Mato Nanji, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang and Buddy Guy! Very Old school sound with a stage full of amps that made for Great Feedback! Superb vocals by Noah Hunt!! So cool when Zakk Wylde jumped of the stage and walked up the aisle jammin the whole way!! Loved Jonny Lang's version of "Are you experienced?" They just don't do music like this today! Loved LOVED LOVED IT!!!!

The acoustics at the Taft (at least up in the balcony, row T) leave much to be desired (as does the small cramped seating and only the bottom half of the screen being visible) but the concert was worthwhile. It was great to see the smiling face of Buddy Guy (who at 79 can still set a revival mood with his timeless Bluesy Rock), Johnny Lang (with his soulful depth and spirited delivery) , Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Zakk Wylde etc... but there's nothing like the emotion that the great instrumentalist Jimi Hendrix brought to his music - it can't be duplicated. However, all artists gifted the audience with an eclectic, passionate, personal rendition within their performances making the "Experience" a soul nurturing revisit of days gone by - with a millennium twist! Much appreciation goes to Chris Layton as well for carrying the beat of the concert - an awesome tribute to another greatly missed Blues/Rock Hero, Stevie Ray Vaughan! Quite an Experience!!!

The cooperation of musicians at this event was tribute enough for the legends of time. More important to me was the presentation this year vs the same show four years ago. Four years ago, KWS came out and blew us away from the start. This year, patience was a virtue, the show gradually built to a grand entrance by KWS along with Mr. Buddy Guy, god I love these musicians and their approach to the songs and styles that represent their best during this tribute to Mr. Hendrix. What a great-great show.

The sounds that these guitarist created were amazing. Zakk Wylde was probably the most stage dominant performer -- while Eric Johnson and Kenny Wayne Shepherd were the most technical guitarists. I went in expecting Buddy to play the entire set -- but, was kind of disappointed to see him only play a handful on songs. Overall, it was like a guitarist talent competition and very happy I got to see it live.

overall excellent - trying to see around the odd stoner or "dancer" was a bit challenging, but I enjoyed the show - Kenny Wayne Shepard was great, as was Zacke Wild who seemed to descend from Asgard and bless us mortals with a dizzying display of Guitar God wizardry. Johnny Lang and the lead guitarist from Indigenous were excellent - Eric Johnson, AnaPopov and the original member of the Experience were great too. And finally the Master Buddy Guy - although I loathe his arrogance - He is the "The Man" and ended the night beautifully.

At 7:01 the lights dimmed and the concert started. The show I attended lasted from 7 pm to about 10:15pm, with a 15 minute break. Each performer does 3 or 4 songs. The show has very little down time. This past show was my 4th time to witness this celebration of the most influential guitarist of our time. The show is loud and proud. The line up changes somewhat and the regular artist such as Buddy Guy (incidentally is a legend all his own), Dweezil Zappa, Kenny Wayne Shepard to name a few. There was a couple of heavy duty slide guitar blues guys that were just a pleasure to watch and listen to. I know that Jimi was looking down smiling.

I had no idea our seats would be so close to the stage. I got the tickets for my husband as a gift. I'm not a fan of this kind of music, I think I am now! I was impressed with the talent. The show was the best I have been to . We go to a lot of concerts, but this one was the best. The theater was pretty amazing, lots of history, and the sound was great.

Zakk Wylde stole the show! He owned it. An all star cast and lineup, however nothing tops the musical genius of Zakk. No folk art, ballad, soft rock, box guitar crap...he plays the hell out of a solid body electric. Absolutely the best!

What an amazing show. So much talent on that stage and was truly amazed by Buddy Guy being the first time I have seen him. As always Kenny Wayne Shepherd was amazing and the rest of the musicians were great too. This is a definite must see for anyone who enjoys Jimi Hendrix

This was hands down one of the best concerts I have ever been to! The performers were high energy. There was so much interaction with the audience. The tickets were the best I've ever had thanks to the friendly helpful agent at Ticketmaster.

3 1/2 hour show with intermission. Zack Wilde was over the top and stole the show for most in the crowd. He's more of a shredder to me and I was totally unprepared for that. Good to see Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang and Dweasel Zappa was solid.

Guitars drowned out some vocals. Great guitar players, most were showing off. Kenny Wayne Shepard was the best by far. Beth Hart and Noah_____, we're great vocals, the rest, eh. Overall, worth checking out, but not as good as it could have been.

This was not an overproduced concert. It was all about the music. It was just an incredibly talented group of musicians getting together to play Hendrix, and they did it very passionately. So if you're into Hendrix, and you want to hear some great guitar work and bluesy vocals, it's well worth seeing.

I think just seeing Buddy Guy play Red House is well worth the attendance. And then there's Dveezil Zappa, who is an amazing guitar player himself, there's Zakk Wylde, with his guitar playing so intense, so fired up, you think his instrument is gonna break... Kenny Wayne Shepard, Jonny Lang, many other talanted guitar players. Overall an amazing Experience!!!

My husband and I attended this show in Cincinnati in March and we were thrilled with all of the musicians who played and sang the best of Jimi Hendrix. The guitarists were incredible and the music was great. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and the place was packed! The next best way to go to a Jimi Hendrix concert and we would definitely go again and recommend this show to anyone who loves his music.

The buildintg is beautiful. The staff/workers are very helpful and courtious. However, some of the music was just ok--and some of it I could not understand what was going on--- from where I was seated I could not see the full screen which was a tad bit aggravating. I expected the show to by just as Jimi Hendrix would of performed.

Excellent concert filled with awesome collaborations of lots of guitar legends playing together in various combinations. This is excellent stuff if you love blues and rock guitar styles, whether you like Hendrix specifically or not. No warmup act, and none needed -- the concert lasted around 4 hours, and nobody was bored for a second!

We really enjoyed the show. It was awesome to see Buddy Cox and Buddy Guy together and hearing a little bit of their memory of Jimi. I would've liked to see the names of the guys run across the bottom of the big screen. Eric Gayles was great, i did not know him till now, I don't get out much. The young dude that opened the show was really good as well, I can't remember what his name was but he sure had the look of a present day Jimi Hendrix. I was sad that Dweezil never came back out, lost in the shuffle, I suppose. i liked the photos although they seemed a lil shorft of the many photos I have seen of Jimi. some electric lady land movie stills would've been nice.

The ensemble cast of guitar players performed extremely well while switching off every few songs. The classic Hendrix songs were played as well as a few I was unaware of. The A/V components of the show were simple (with changing Hendrix imagery on the backdrop) yet effective, forcing the audience to sit back and enjoy the show. Heavy fog most certainly helped as well. Well done!

Overall great show with great musicians (and a few not quite cutting the mustard). Very awe-inspiring to see Billy Cox and Robby Krieger on-stage together (the memories of these greats brought tears to my eyes)! Also excellent guitar playing by Eric Johnson, Jonny Lang, Brad Whitford, David Hidalgo, Cesar Rosas, Dweezil Zappa and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Downside - the Slide Brothers and Bootsy Collins butchering "Purple Haze" and "Foxy Lady" - ashamed to see two of Jimi's showcase songs being treated like this. Also disappointed not to hear "Manic Depression" in the set list......

This was the best concert that I have been to in a long time. I go to a lot of concerts. I am a child of the sixties and saw Jimi. These guys did him proud. The music is awesome. Loved it all. Favorite was Jonny Land doing Watchtower and Kenny Wayne doing Voodoo. WOW! Bootsy was a hoot and rocked! They were all good!!! Don't miss this one. You will never forgive yourself. It was fun seeing the younger gens, as well as the old farts rocking out. Love it! This concert made me smile......BIG!
