A Taste of Things to Come (Chicago)

We had great seats, but I don t think there would be a bad seat in the Venue! Sound was good, acting & singing was great, we enjoyed it immensely!

Awesome show! You will be either nostalgic or shocked!

My group of four all were very disappointed. The content went too far with vulgar actions and language. We left at intermission. Too bad the acting was good.

Very well written and energetically performed. The four ladies in 1957 remind us of life "back then," and their mostly new lives in 1967 show us how important the changes were. This is a positive message about each person's value (regardless of gender) and their need to become the best "themselves" they can be. Lots of insights and laughs without bashing or excuses. We loved it.

This was a most enjoyable blast from the 50's that takes us on a beautiful musical trip down memory lane with 4 lives that are separate but equal in their struggle to find themselves as women with meaningful lives. It's wonderful how they come together as friends amidst their political views in the end.....

In two words: Average / Overpriced It's not that the show is terrible, it's cute and easy to watch, but honestly, I've seen High School productions of higher quality and sophistication. The story line is moderately entertaining and the set is static with only a few minor changes in the second act. Music and acting were both decent, but frankly, it wasn't worth the money for a simplistic story and average set design.

My friends and I roared with laughter! What a great show. The acting was superb and the harmony was excellent. Not a bad seat in the theater. Will definitely go again!

The cast was amazing. I don t usually enjoy musicals but this was enjoyable. The issues are unchanged to our current year. The jokes were generational & appeared to be lost to the younger crowd. I went with my Mom who lived through the time and she thought enjoyed as well.

Took my mom and her friend to this show (who both spent time in Winnetka in the 50's), and we all enjoyed it enormously. Fun, lively performances from all four actresses (esp. Dottie!). Loved the all-female band. Girl power! Sorry it wasn't fuller on a Friday night, but audience was appreciative. Comfortable, friendly venue. Parking options could have been clearer on the theatre website.

Very entertaining with amazing voices and fun plot

A Taste of Things to Come was very fun and entertaining! I really enjoyed the music and liked the size and feel of the venue. Parking was easy. The only thing that surprised me was the length of the show...only about 2 hours including intermission.

Great show with four amazing women! The singing and acting was all outstanding. Laughed and hummed along!

Loved, loved, loved the show. It was upbeat, funny and that music!! Wonderful time was had by all and everyone leaves with a smile on their face. Women in the 50's and 60's were ground breakers. Learn how life has changed. Not just for women and girls of all ages but great for men as well.

The play was fun and entertaining. The theater was very small and intimate and you could see from all rows. Loved it.

Absolutely amazing show! The acting was unforgettable, the actresses were incredible in their roles. The music and band were also amazing. We loved the show and wished it didn't end! The venue is perfect as well, I had second row seats and was completely immersed in the show. I've also sat in the farthest row at Broadway Playhouse and still was pleasantly surprised by how great of a view we had. Overall would definitely recommend if you are a fan of musicals! The songs are catchy, acting is fantastic, and overall we had a very great experience.

Excellent show & talented Cast!. They should have included Recipes in the Lobby like the NY show!

It was definitely a fun evening! The first half was my favorite as you watched their early relationships and how different they were, but still enjoyed each other every Wednesday afternoon. The second half was good because you saw how their paths took different turns. The singing in the second half was at times drowned out by the background band, but it came around at the end. If you don t fall in love with Dottie, I don t know what to say!

Taste is a clever and cute. I would recommend it to friends and family.

I took my mother and my husband to see "A Taste of Things to Come," and all three of us laughed throughout the show. The performers were very talented and the music was memorable.
