Right from the start of things i was taken away. They did not stop there either, the setlist seemed like it went on forever in the best way possible. Every song was done amazingly and Peter single handedly brought Sweden with him and represented it as he jumped about the stage. Bjorn and John stage presence was evident throughout the show as well. Simply an amazing show.

It was nice to go up the escalator a bit early before the doors open to actually meet Peter Bjorn and John heading down before the show. The venue was intimate so there really wasn't a bad spot. The crowd enjoyed the show and it was a fun treat to have all of these guests from Foriegn Born, Lykii Li, and many others. Also having a signing at the end of the show was a nice touch. This will be my 4th time seeing this band. I was lucky to see them in 07' in San Diego and this year at Coachella, The Hollywood Bowl with Depeche Mode, and Club Nokia. I had no idea that it was their 10th birthday as a band. Thank You and I would definately come and see this band again.

The band was great! The venue was small so it was personal but it was casual at the same time. The sound quality was great. The band played for an hour and a half during which they had a few guest singers, the LA Women's choir, one rapper, and Lykke Li-- there were a couple of others. They played songs from both their old and new cds. It was fun. I just wish they'd had a merch table.

We went to the Depeche Mode concert a couple of months ago and didn't make it on time to see PB&J's whole opening preformance. So I got these tickets for my husbands birthday present and it is probably the best present I have ever given him! We had a blast. It was our first time at House of Blues and the venue was really nice. We got in about 15 minutes before the concert started. We were able to stand right in front of the stage against the railing. PB&J rocked the night out! The opening band Perro del Mar was also really good (I am a fan of their band now). At the end Peter threw out his guitar pick and i was fortunate enought to get that! And then they announced that they would be signing autographs after the concert!!! So we were able to meet them and get their autographs on our tickets! It was the most memorable birthday present I could have given to my hubby. He has now framed their record with our ticket stubs and the guitar pick! Thank you PB&J hope to see ya'll again soon.

The venu itself was sub-par. There was absolute NO SMOKING but I guess to each their own. The Opening act for this show literally brought on borderline suicidal actions. Between the lack of equipment failure or whatever might have happened this should have been well fixed before entrance. The main act decided it would be a great idea to have two shows in two nights at the same venue. This caused all sorts of stale moments. Each song felt rushed. The three did not go outside the comfort box at all during either show leaving me, my friends extremely disappointed.

i have been to over 50 concerts and this one was easily the best. i highly encourage these guys. they encored 5 songs, walked around in the crowd, danced with fans, signed autographs, made us laugh, went balls out, and were humble. these tickets couldve easily been 100$ and u still wouldve had way more than ur moneys worth. they were simply incredible and definitely a band i will see every time they come to LA now

I love Peter Björn and John! They put on an awesome show. I am a longtime fan, nut I brought a friend who had never heard their music before, and she loved the show. We stayed for the second show and that was even better than the first! They even stayed after both shows to meet fans and sign stuff! They said they were returning in the fall, and my friend and I cannot wait!

Peter, Bjorn and John put on a high energy show that definetly was a crowd pleaser. Going old school armed only with guitars and drums they sounded great. Getting out in the crowd while singing was nice to see. The crowd loved it. The light show added to the visual stimulation quite nicely. Peter, Bjorn and John genuinely looked like they were having as much fun and their fans. And it was their second show of the night. Great venue for a fun crowd and a high energy show with good music and nice folk.

This was the 4th time I'd seen PB&J and they just keep getting better and better! They're totally maturing as a band and perfect their live performance. I sorta miss the un-polished trio from back in '07 but this is a band that is at the top of their game right now!

We thought we had missed out opportunity to see PB&J when the first show sold out. But then we got a second chance when they added a late show. To think, I almost bought inflated-priced tux for that first show\u2026 I d always go for the later show anyway. It was awesome. They had so much energy and their quirky Swedish humor was fun. I liked the different versions of the songs off Living Thing. The harmonica playing we great. I didn t get one of the giant triple thumbs, but still went away having had a great time. The El Rey is a great place to see a show.

Honestly, I only just recently heard of this band thru my daughter, and I thought it would be cool to see them live while they were in LA. I went to the later of the two shows that evening, and I can't speak to the first one, but they really put on a good show for us! They gave three encores and it was obvious that they were really getting inton heir performance! I'd definitely recommend this show and would love to see them again myself.

Worst show ever. The songs were atrocious. They didn't even play the whistle song that they are known for. We think they avoided it because they are probably tired of being identified by it, but at least it would have been one half decent song during the show. We kept on saying "maybe the next song will be good." Then the end came and we realized all our hopes had not come true. I like the El Rey. I've been to many great shows there, so this definitely was not a venue problem. The problem was a bad band with a bad set list.

These guys are great! Their stage presence is amazing and they busted out with their latest album Gimme Some that's proven to be a great match-up for their corky personalities and performances. The venue was perfect for this kind of show and the sound was impeccable. I'll definitely be catching them again next time they come around. They did a little meet and greet after their DOUBLE show- yes, they performed back to back shows and still did an awesome job. Overall, SEE THEM!

I see an obscene amount of shows, and I'd have to say this was one of the best performances I've seen all year. I'm so glad I decided to get tickets, as I also saw The Cars this week and I needed to see something great to redeem live music for me after The Cars played the most boring concert on the planet. I wasn't looking that forward to this concert - I had no idea they were such great performers and were such a fun band live, all 3 were just totally into it and all over the stage. They blew my boyfriend and I away so much that we stayed for the second show, so essentially we spent 6 hours at the El Rey waiting for and seeing PB&J. I'm moving them to the top of "Bands I Obsess Over List."

This was hands down one of the best shows I've ever been to. They all have so much energy and you can tell they really love what they're doing. The venue was perfect: it was small enough that you felt like you had a private show no matter where you were standing. Like the Ikea furniture, the swedish band lacks personality. They know how to play, the sound was good, the set was perfect but there wasn't any magic, nothing particular about them, no charisma at all, nothing that makes it worthed to pay for a ticket and see them alive. They tried very hard, but I was very dissapointed. Buy the album and listen to it in your sofa, itd be a much better experience.

This was my second time seeing the band this year. What made this time even better than the first is the song selection. It wasn't just heavily based on their recent release "Gimme Some", which is a nice album by the way. I was surprised to hear them play not one, not two, but THREE songs from their album "Falling Out". I almost died when I heard the opening riff for "Teen Love". I had the privilege of meeting them at the first show that I saw them at back in March. It is ridiculous how nice they are to fans -- it's pretty scary 0.o They definitely possess that quality on stage. What makes them great performers is that they engage with the audience, whether it is making us add in "lalala's" and "whoa-oh's" or even coming through the crowd singing and dancing with the concertgoers, like Peter did. They even made a shout out to a young man standing at the front of the stage who came to all of their New York shows. I thought that was adorable =) They really do know how to put on a good show. The level of energy that they exert is crazy! Moving around that stage, banging away on the drums - it's nuts, and provides for great entertainment. In other words, they enjoy what they do and want to make sure that you enjoy yourself too. I highly recommend that you go see them -- I know I will the next time they come to New York. Even if you just go into their concert and the only knowledge you have of them is they're those "Swedish dudes with that whistling song", you'll enjoy them and might find a new favorite song, or band!

I love Peter Bjorn and John, even more since I saw them for the first time last year in NY. I was impressed by their ability to sing, dance, jump and being fun at the same time! This concert was just as good! I loved the songs they payed, I like that they tried also to create new "versions" of the oldest song, so they will sound different! My favorite moment was when John came down in the crowd and sang with us. There was a lot of good energy!

Let me start by saying I love Peter, Bjorn & John's music. However, I went with a large group of people to the concert, all of us very much looking forward to it, and we were all pretty disappointed with the outcome. I'm not sure why, but the venue wasn't crowded at all and that translated into low energy from the audience and from the band. I had a great time with my friends, but it had nothing to do with the show - unfortunately, it wasn't very memorable!

My experience seeing Peter Bjorn and John was the best first-concert experience I could have hoped for, even despite the fact that I had laryngitis that evening. The Trocadero was a great venue for the concert, and the band performed very well and with a lot of energy, despite the fact that John had injured his shoulder recently. What I'll remember most those is the chance I had to meet Peter and see John when they came into the audience during the opening act, Memoryhouse (which was a good act, unlike the first act Work Drugs). Not only are Peter Bjorn and John talented musicians but they are also friendly people, and my experience was amazing and unforgettable. I hope they are able to come back to Philly and even the Trocadero.

Hearing them live was phenomenal, and even gave me a new view on some of their songs. They were energetic, fun and exciting. Having decided to go to both Toronto shows, I went into the second one, after the moving performance the night before, thinking I wouldn't care if they played the exact same set again, it was so good. However, they played an almost entirely different set, covering yet again terrific older material, as well as great new songs. The show was every bit as exciting, and coming out of the weekend I'm feeling a bit sore and exhausted from the whole thing. In short, I can't wait until they come to the region again.

This concert was fantastic! These guys are great musicians, they have a blast playing their music, and the fans get all the benefits. Sure the songs on the new album are fun, but the way these guys rocked out live, they pumped up the music to a whole new level. They play with tons of energy and let their own individual personalities shine through. What was especially cool was that the barricade normally set up about 10 ft. from the stage in this venue was not in place for this concert, so fans could be right up at the stage allowing Peter and Bjorn to interact and touch the audience. Peter also came singing through the crowd and playing harmonica. Also surprising, they all came out to the lobby after the show for autographs and pictures. These guys really care about the fans and pour their hearts into the show. One of the better concerts I've seen. If you like these guys at all, do not miss them live!
