I love this club! We got there a little early, not hours early, but maybe 20 minutes or so. Great seats - again. Even had time for a little snack too - sliders. Wonderful food! Served quickly and hot. The wait staff did not get in the way of the show. Two opening acts - both were entertaining. It's hard to appreciate someone else's act when waiting for your favorite to appear. Ben Bailey was funny - laughed all throughout his set. Even was geeky enough to get my picture taken with him afterwards. I've seen some great comics here - Ralphie May, John Pinnette - and Ben Bailey was right there with them. I continue to look forward to continuing going to Cobb's Club and seeing more great acts. This one was great. I had a great time!!

We knew Ben Bailey was funny, witty and clever, but we hadn't expected to laugh so much that our stomachs hurt. He entertained us from the moment he took the stage and provided us with a memorable night. Ben Bailey is a must see!!

The review is pretty simple, Ben Bailey is hilarious! And Cobb's Comedy Club is a great little venue in North Beach. I would definitely recommend both.

If you ever have a chance to see Ben Bailey - GO! He is one of the smartest, funniest comedians that I have seen. He had the whole place laughing hysterically and then of course thinking about the jokes the next day! Timing, stage presence and everything was excellent.

Although most people only know Ben Bailey from his job as the host of the TV Game Show Cash Cab, he's been doing stand up for a lot longer than he's driven a taxi cab. Bailey has a great comedic style that makes great use of timing and a unique delivery.

The comedy show was SUPER. Added bonus - we did not know that another comedian was on stage first - Steve Donovan from Worcester...he was really funny. Ben Bailey was FANTASTIC. Would go see him again...like the improv! Did not know the venue, HuKeLau had a $10. per person minimum. We had dinner elsewhere, but had coffee, dessert there.

It was a nearly identical act to what he's been doing for the past three years. He definitely needs to come up with a bunch if new material. We were pretty disappointed. Also the venue didn't honor assigned seat tickets, they just sat people first come first serve. We were supposed to be a few seats from the stage, according to our seat number purchased on TicketMaster, but we were seated towards the back. Overall the night was a let-down.

Ben is a very talented, funny and intelligent guy. His intellect appeals to an audience like San Francisco. He just needs to stay on point in his routine a bit better. He wandered a lot, which doesn't mean he wasn't funny, but I wondered if he tightened it up more for Friday/Saturday night audiences.

The comedian that was the opening act for Ben Bailey had a highlight of chugging a bottle of Patron Tequila. ( Is that supposed to be FUNNY?) I expected to see Ben Bailey tell the audience his stories of bloopers that occurred on his show, Cash Cab. Instead,Ben Bailey seemed to be mad at the world that night. He screamed a lot and used a lot of profanity. Plus potty jokes were not too funny. I was disappointed.

Although Ben Bailey was very funny and entertaining, I would not have bought tickets had I known it was family weekend. Apparently he was told right before he went on that he had to tone down his act. I bought a ticket thinking I would see his entire act, not the "family" version.

Ben has a lot of stage presence, though it seems replacing good material for four-letter words seems to be his philosophy. I'm sure it had something to do with the fact it was his last show on Sunday and he thought he could just wing it. Older crowd than I've seen at the Punch, which probably means people were Cash Cab fans.. and probably surprised t the constantly profanity. Maybe Ben thinks he's Bob Saget, God forbid. Still, my friend who goes for the lowbrow humor, laughed constantly. So, to perhaps friends with lower IQs, I recommend the show.

He's really amazing! I can't say the last time I've seen a comedian ad-lib most of his act. He was pure genius! He was so funny and working with the audience was hilarious!! I highly recommend going to see Ben Bailey! I haven't laughed that much in a long time, he put on a great show!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++

Of all the comedians I have seen in the last few months Amy Schumer, Lewis Black,Lisa Lampanelli ,Chelsea Handler who are all very funny Ben Bailey is the only comedian who uses very little profanity. Nothing against profanity but to be that funny and clean is very clever

I am sorry, and not to be mean, but the show was horrible, and even he knows he bombed terribly. In addition, the first 2 comedians were even worse. I almost asked for my money back they were so bad. My frieinds wanted to leave, but it seemed rude.

The undercard was okay but when Ben Biley walked onto the stage it was his. The stories felt original, timely and were very funny. There are comic that tell jokes and those like Ben that can tie the stories together and make you think as well as laugh.

1st comedian was a OK. He was a big guy and most of his act was about his weight. A little obvious and kind of tedious. He flubbed his words several times. Needs some seasoning, but he didn't bomb. 2nd guy was a DJ from MA. Really funny, great energy. Very animated. Enjoyed him a lot. Ben Bailey was a riot. Didn't feel like a bunch of bits. Natural flow. At times reminded me of Carlin and even a bit of Robin Williams. He made a few references to the crowd's energy (being a downer). That was strange, as I was laughing so hard my cheeks hurt, but I guess he was perceiving a dull crowd. That was the only thing that bummed me out. *I* was laughing hard. Him pointing out his disappointment at the overall crowd energy was a drag for me, because I was giving him all the laughs I could muster.

I wasn't sure about this show because I had only seen the Cash Cab show, but was pleasantly surprised. I normally am the type of person who laughs on the inside and it has to be really funny to actually hear me laugh. I was laughing out loud and even had tears in my eyes. WHAT A GREAT SHOW. I will defiantly be seeing it again next time. Also our seats were right on the edge of the stage, it was nice to see a comedian who didn't bully or pick on the audience for laughs.

The Caaaret at the Mohegan Sun was beautiful, the comedian prior to Ben Bailey was really funny, but Ben Bailey's stand up was terribly disappointing. He is enjoyable in cash cab but he is no stand up comedian. Very disappointed

We love Ben Bailey, but this was no Cash Cab. I was very naive to think it would be like the show, especially when we came in and realized that the Wilbur had been turned into an enormous bar. As non-drinkers we were uncomfortable (to say the least) in this atmosphere. At $4.50 for a Diet Coke, we decided to stay thirsty. The opening act was disgusting. He had nothing funny to say so he used constant profanity to cover his lack of talent. Ben also used heavy profanity. Perhaps I'm a prude, but I find it difficult to pay attention to what's being said when every other word is a "bomb." The audience was extremely rude, but then, I'm used to seeing plays in theatres, not night club acts. A fight broke out directly behind us--quite scary. I felt bad for Ben as he was obviously shaken by an obnoxious audience member screaming out, "Ben Bailey" during a story. When I was in college I saw actors such as Eva Le Gallienne at the Wilbur. Now I feel it's been desecrated.

We were disappointed with this show. Jokes were lengthy and not worth the wait. Opening act took too long and also wasn't funny. We watch a lot of comedians who come to Boston and had hoped he would be of similar caliber as most acts we follow, but unfortunately this was not the case. Also a few people brought their kids (seemingly due to Bailey's gig as a game show host) and that was awkward, as his comedy is definitely like MOST comedians... a bit edgy. Finally - opening act was way too long, almost thirty minutes!

I am a fan of Cash Cab and have often found Ben Bailey funny on the show. During his stand up performance, I found that he was very slow to tell his joke and often took each joke too far, so that it was no longer funny after the first punch line (he often tried for 2 or 3 punch lines with each joke). Disappointingly, the opener was much funnier than the feature performer. He also seemed bitter towards fans of Cash Cab and complained about people recognizing him on the street - and was very angry when members of the audience shouted out. I do not regret attending the show, but would not recommend seeing him live.

This was my first comedy show and Ben Bailey did not disappoint! His opening act Stephen Donnolly(?) was hilarious, but my face hurt after Ben Bailey from smiling so much. The only bad thing was that the audience was calling out and interrupting Ben Bailey during his bit and some people got into a fight. He played it off really well, making hilarious jokes from it, but he was definitely pissed by the end.
