I've been a Zucchero fan for 20 years, and have long wanted to see him perform live. I flew from NC to Atlanta for the sole purpose of attending this Black Cat concert, and the experience was life-changing. Zu is such a dynamic performer, and his band members are all great musicians from rich, eclectic backgrounds. Everyone associated with this show was superb, from sound mixers to lighting crew, and stagehands. Onstage, Zu gives 100%, is in complete control, yet allows the organic life of the music to steer the experience. He "feeds" off the audience reaction, to the point that we are part of the permormance, too. By the end of the evening, I felt as though I was a personal friend of Zu, as he shared stories of his life and his process for creating music. I felt as though his purpose in performing was to bring joy and beauty into my life, and this was definitely achieved! His music makes you move, and moves your emotions, as well. I only hope that I will, someday, have another opportunity to see this magnificent, beautiful musician!!!
What a concert! Zucchero is a true showman. He is very talented and so were the musicians in his band on Saturday. The venue's size and acoustics made for an excellent show, the sound was incredible. Also at Parker Playhouse every seat is a great seat. Hope Zucchero comes back to play in South Florida soon.
Concert was unbelievable he started off with a few songs from his latest album" black cat" then proceeded to sing a bunch of his top hits from previous albums and as a performer not letting down his fans came back out to play some of his greatest songs to wind down the evening
I have watched him come in concert for over 6 years, I recommend him to all my friends and the group gets bigger and bigger!!! I love him... Keep them coming.
OMG - what a night! Zucchero was just unforgettable. I saw him in Europe in large concert venues - to see him that close in the Andiamo's Showroom felt like a private concert. His new songs are awesome and of course, the big hits we all love! Molto grazie!
What an extraordinary concert he put on! Not a lot of razzle dazzle, just good music and interaction with the audience. We'll absolutely go see him again!
amazing, hope see him again, nice sound, fenomenal musicians

Zucchero was great, it only seemed at some point that the sound needed a bit of more work, but the vibe was amazing. One thing to reconsider is the venue, while the theater is great as such and historical place, Wilbur does not allow to record/taking photos of the even, which seems a but odd, and more a user friendly place with a possibility to more freedom would be better.

Once again Zucchero asounded us with his showmanshp and great mix of old and new music. He managed to remind my wofe of his 30 years ago self and rock some great older music, and treat both of us to some really powerful new music. I can wait to see him again. The Wilbur is a great, intimate, theatre and we had ball there. Easy access, great staff, full bar. Really great place to see some awesome music!

From the moment he started to sing you could feel his presence and energy on stage. His entire band was on fire , from his solo violinist to his guitar players and the duo drummers were truly amazing. He performed for two hours and kept us dancing the whole time. What a diverse crowd. He played over two hours straight. Lots of songs and lots of fun. What struck me was the fact that his voice is awesome! You go to some concerts and the voice is different than the soundtrack but he gets better with time. His voice was flawless. For what he lacks in rhythm, he delivers in that powerhouse voice of his. The stage and his bandmates are wonderful too. I highly recommend.

Zucchero gives all he's got on stage; passionate; ultimate musician; and his tunes are unique and memorable. You either want to sway wit the rhythm, dance, jump up and down, or even get a little teary eyed. His band as well are phenomenal musicians. Presence onstage shows great energy individually and playing as band very cohesive. You can sense everyone on stage is having a good time. Really wonderful to listen to and great to watch!!! Sound mix is also great - you can hear each individual musician. And this is a no nonsense show - they play the music without a break and without antics - just the music. Zucchero stopped once to say a few words on the topic of how he - an Italian - came about playing the blues and small venues - he's just the genuine article - talented and focused musician. If you haven't heard of him before, treat yourself and get introduced to Zucchero and his band. And the prices he is charging - he is the only world renowned artist who offers incredibly affordable prices - because he loves music and wants to be accessible! No one like that out there. Great show. This is great music.

Zucchero has the most amazing singing voice. He can sing high, low, growly, in a ballad or in a bluesy rock stye. He sounds exactly the same whether it's on an album or live. He started singing immediately and stopped only for a few minutes about halfway through the show. Amazing singer!!!

Its a very small venue, which for me made this particular event even greater. I have been a fan of Zucchero for over 30 years. I first learned about his music while stationed in Naples, Italy while serving in the US Navy. To see him in person after all of these years was truly an awesome experience for me and brought back a lot of great memories. His music is a rhythm and blues style with an Italian edge. He is very powerful on stage and when he took several moments to just address the crowd you could tell he is just a great person overall. It was a great experience and I would strongly suggest that anyone at least give his music a listen even if you cannot understand Italian, the music transcends language barriers.

It was my first time at the Wilbur Theater and was very pleased with the layout and intimacy of the theater. The theater employees were friendly and helpful. The theater was clean and comfortable. The view from our seats was fantastic (five rows from the stage). We could see the facial expressions of the performers and their fingers on the instruments. Zucchero was fantastico!!! His voice is so powerful and true to how he sounds on his albums. He sang straight for over two hours with a pause in the middle when the band continued to entertain the crowd with a song. He spoke to the audience which made us feel appreciated. He real loves entertaining and music. It's in his soul! Zucchero also did an ancore after a standing ovation which was awesome! During the concert he sang his new songs but mixed it up with other hits from various past albums. I've been following Zucchero for over 20 years, have seen him twice, and would definitely attend another concert of his again if I have the opportunity. Most songs were of course Italian and knowing the language brings more enjoyment and meaning while listening. However, I highly suggest even non-Italian speaking people to attend his show or listen to his music. I was with people who do not speak Italian and they really enjoyed Zucchero's music and could feel the meaning just by listening to the music and his voice. Zucchero's songs are both in English and Italian. I liked the way he mixes it up! Molto bravo Zucchero!

A Facebook friend in Europe introduced me to the music of Zucchero about five years ago, and I immediately fell in love with the music of this artiste. An artiste is more than just a musician or a performer - an artiste is a grand master. Not every performer deserves to be given the title of artiste, but Zucchero is an artiste of the most supreme level. I was so excited when I saw that he would be performing near Detroit, Michigan as part of his "Black Cat" tour, so I checked every day for ticket availability and I was in HEAVEN to get seats in the fourth row, right in front of the middle of the stage area. The concert was outstanding from start to finish so I thank Grande Zucchero for the joy on 25/3/2017.

"In the vastness of this world Baby, he is so unique In the sadness of this life He brings happiness to me From his head down to his toes He is beautiful devine (And) there never is a moment that he Is not on my mind" .........Lyrics: Never A Moment / sung by Zucchero Zucchero has transitioned from the best kept secret of Italy to a rock star of the world. Finally. We've loved his music for years and now seeing him perform was a dream come true. His love of music, his fellow performers and his genuine appreciation of the Seattle audience all resulted in what felt like an intimate evening of fun and frolic. He asked us to dance. We did. He sang and played his heart out and kept going from 8:00 pm to 10:15 pm nonstop. What a gift. The number of instruments that he and his troupe used in this performance was amazing. You do not have to be Italian to appreciate and enjoy his music. Just listen to his CD's as I have over the years. I was almost worried that a live performance could not live up to what I had been listening to for years at home, on my PC, in my car and on airplanes. However, this was proven to be a fabulous set-up and sound stage and I applaud all the technical resources used to deliver to us an amazing sound throughout the concert.

We are American born rock/R&B/blues lovers who "fell on Zucchero" while changing channels on our cable provider some twenty years ago. He was performing at a Piazza in Italy and we were intrigued. It's been a love affair ever since. We have seen him on three of his trips to America (Trump Marina, Carnegie Hall, Theater at MSG). We are devoted to the international beauty of his music. Stellar talent and showmanship doesn't even begin to cover it. It doesn't matter what language he speaks (though he integrates English, Italian and Spanish into his songs). At MSG, we were sitting next to an entire group of people who spoke ONLY French. Yet when someone turns to you and says "spectacular," it doesn't need much translation. In our opinion, Zucchero should be far more famous than he is but we don't care if people who don't "get it" think we're odd. They're the ones missing out. Viva Zucchero, molto fantastico!

To all my friends stateside: Last night I saw the most amazing concert at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Zucchero Fornaciari, an artist from Italia performed with many special guests: Sting, Sam Moore, Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini (another Italian artist who sings rap-who I met at a CD signing and absolutely love him), Andrea Griminelli (flutist - they performed Miserere along with Pavarotti on big screens), Elisa, Fher (of Mana') and Fiorella Mannoia. If any of you ever have an opportunity to see Zucchero in concert, even though for some there will be a language barrier, I totally recommend you go see him. He will not disappoint! He always has special guests who are classic stars.. the flavor of the concert is jazz/blues/country with some rock and some spanish/latin flavor... He's gracious, entertaining, and has a wonderful spirit. If nothing else, do a search on youtube where he sang with Pavarotti, Sting, Bono and others in the past... try him out... he may grow on you! I don't know if he does an annual show in NYC (certainly hope so), however, if he does, I am there every year from now on, front row and center!! My ultimate goal is to see him perform in Italia! Now THAT would be the greatest!

He can bring the crowd to its feet with Baila Morena and Diavolo in Me, and lull them into a dreamlike state with Diamante and Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime. I would love to see him every year, and hope he adds New York to his tours as long as he is doing concerts. His band is fantastic, and a very important part of making everything work beautifully.

Waited many years for his new tour of the U.S.. Never had seen him live before. It was a fantastic concert from his new album and all the favorites he has composed through the years. The audience must have been about 70% to 80% Italian heritage. When he realized that he mostly spoke in Italian. This crowd was pumped and the band felt it and responded with an amazing high energy performance! Being a musician myself he put on one hell of a performance. What was nice also the Parker Playhouse, as venues go, is a relatively moderate size auditorium so it made it even all the more special. The only fly in the soup was the technician handling the mixer for all the instruments and voices. The sound was quite a bit "muddy" acoustically and it was on occasion hard to distinguish his voice over the music. Also the lead guitar solos were not as distinctive as they should have been because of it. He played for over 2 hours non stop with encores as well. I have seen many rock and ballad acts in my 65 years but this was a highlight indeed. Thank you Zucchero!

Zucchero's music is the perfect example that "music is universal". Even though he sings in Italian, his native tongue, his songs move and inspire you in a very special way. I've been a big fan of him and his talent for almost 30 years, and having had the amazing opportunity to see him perform live is a true gift. I've always known he's an exceptional singer-songwriter, but seeing him live gave me a new appreciation for his terrific voice and soulful style. The concert surprised me by exceeding my own expectations - he was energetic, soulful and totally rocked!! - and his band was great too! When he addressed the audience I discovered that he's charismatic, charming, humble and funny - & it was such a treat to see him in that light! I loved his concert as much as he loves the blues!!

The Fillmore is a superb venue to see a favorite artist since it is small and you are so close. Zucchero's show went above and beyond my expectations signing in both Italian and English and covering a great mixture of his music. EVERYONE was up dancing and singing the entire time. Even my non Italian speaking husband enjoyed it. Zucchero has such a unique sound that is not bound by language or cultural boundaries. WHAT A MEMORABLE NIGHT, I WAS FORTUNATE TO ATTEND ZUCCHERO'S CONCERTS IN NEW YORK, (THIS WAS MY SECOND CONCERT) AND I LOVED IT SO MUCH. I FEEL THAT ZUCCHERO IS ONE OF THE GREATEST VOICES OF MY GENERATION, HIS MUSIC FULL OF SOUL CARESSES YOU, YOU CAN CLOSE YOUR EYES AND SWAY TO HIS MELODIOUS VOICE. HE BEGAN HIS CONCERT PROMPTLY, NEVER TOOK A BREAK...I WAS AMAZED THAT HIS POWERFUL VOICE COULD DISH OUT HIT AFTER HIT WITH NO BREAKS..AT THE END OF THE CONCERT WE BEGGED FOR AN UNCORE, AND HE PLAYED FOR US SOME MORE. ZUCCHERO CAME TO NY WITH AN ENTOURAGE...BUT IN MY OPINION HE NEEDS NO ONE, WHAT A TALENT...

First the positive. Zucchero is a very good singer and his musicians were equally good. The songs were a little repetitive in style and the stage but very well sung with his unique style. Now the not so good. The show was truly bare bones...no real staging or showmanship, more like a college setting. The lighting that kept flashing on the audience was incredibly distracting and irritating. The sound was way too high...the chairs were literally bouncing around from it and it muffled the actual singing and music. The seating and lack of comfort in the Taj auditorium was truly sub standard and pathetic. The chairs are tiny occasional chairs, you were sitting literally on top of your neighbor and of course there was no gradient to the theater so all you saw were heads in front of you. Bottom line - is the show worth $120+ per ticket - no. However if money is no object then yes despite the flaws.

Zucchero put on a great concert. This is my fourth Zucchero concert in the last 10+ years. His back-up band whom I believe are the same musicians I have previously seen are phenomenal. He played a great mix of Italian to English songs. I highly recommend seeing his show. As for the venue -- it's horrible. It's a large convention arena with banquet chairs. There is no grading to the floor of the venue. I was unlucky enough to have a large tall man sitting directly in front of me. My view of the stage was very limited. To make matters worse he spent half of the show with his arm up videotaping the show, further blocking my view. Bottom line - go see Zucchero - just not at this venue!

OK - maybe one of the BEST shows you'll ever see. Zucherro always has a grear show but this one tops them all. 3000 people on their feet singing "Soul Man" with the original Sam plus Sting plus Jovanotti! Amazing for $70. bucks - would have paid 3 times as much!

We came across Zucchero in Morzine in France last year when our holiday overlapped with a "Harley Days Festival". We have been committed fans ever since. I don't know what I expected of a free festival for bikers but I was pleasantly surprised. They say that music can calm the savage beast, but the sight of thousands of big hairy bikers rocking gently to Zucchero's unique blend of rock, soul and blues was truly something to behold! We were wondering where to go for a spring break, but when we found out that "The Man" was performing at MSG the decision was made to cross the Atlantic and the date fixed! New York was a great bonus. Zucchero did not disappoint. How often do you go to a concert and enjoy every number? He was on stage for three hours non-stop and the performance just got better and better! The show started with just Zucchero and his guitar performing a couple of his more recent, and beautiful, songs including the thought provoking "Someone Else's Tears", then things really got going! Zucchero packed in so many favourites such as "Dune Mosse", "Cosi Celeste", "Blue", "I'm in Trouble" and "Senza Una Donna" there was not a "low" moment. Miserere with the Pavarotti backing track and somewhat irreverent video was great - we never tire of this. Talking of irreverent, we have no idea what "Solo Una Sana..." is about but Italian speakers seem to love it! Must learn some Italian. The show ended with "X Culpa Di Chi" or "The Funky Chicken Song"- another crowd pleaser! This man has got two mature, and usually sensible, adults behaving like daft teenagers. New York was great but our ambition is to see him perform in Verona - and we will do it yet! Bravo Zucchero! See you in Verona sometime.

This was our 2nd Zucchero concert, and he didn't disappoint. Our 1st time seeing Zucchero was at the ancient Arena in Verona, Italy. That venue can't be duplicated, but we were excited to see him in NY. His music is varied, his guests were fabulous, and we loved how he ignites the audience. The show never stopped for 3 hours, with some songs in English and some in Italian.

Zucherro sings from a place that steals your heart. His sound is earthy and lifts your spirit. It is like a religious experience . He definately gives his all. The band which accompanies him is just "above and beyond".

This was definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen. Zuccero put together a program that was like nothing else. The variety of guests was amazing. Each brought her/his own style, from rap to opera, and Zuccero fused his music perfectly and captivated the whole audience every single song. It was really an out of the ordinary treat. His daughter seems to be a real talent, too.

We have seen Zucchero since 1997 in NYC and Atlantic City ,A 30 year career has not diminished his ability to perform and sing with style. Although he may sound like he is only in one register he keeps falsetto and swings in the vocals alternating between raucous to whispered. Zucchero has cowritten many songs with known Rock legends like Clapton, Elvis Costello and the legendary Pavarotti. Sting came on the stage and was perfectly contrasted with Zucchero on their collaboration where Sting actually sings in Italian i was impressed by the acoustics in the Theater at MSG and although I loved Billy Joel a month ago in the big arena , This concert was more acoustically pleasing and I heard everything so well Big concerts dont sound as good. Zucchero filled the house and the Theater with his brand of International Rock and kicked ass

Best concert I have seen in years. Our seats were great (11th row) and the show was amazing. Just found out about him on PBS about two weeks ago and just happened to see if he was touring. It was a magical night with him performing with Sting, Chris Botti, and various other artists. It didn't even matter that I do not understand Italian....he sings beautifully!!

Yes, you can tell from my nickname above that I am a Springsteen fan but have loved and admired the music of Zucchero for a long time. He has the same basic band compilation as Bruce with the violin, multi guitars and keyboards. He directs the band just like a maestro too. I attended the concert with my husband (partner in crime) with all the concerts we attend and he was equally moved and neither one of us speak Italian. Oh, how I wish we did. I have collected as many CD's as possible but we will be going to Italy this June and I will once again be checking out the Italian record stores.

The Zucchero concert had a Soulful Power all night. His voice has emotion, romance (Italian is great language) and strength. The violinist was amazing, female lead guitar has a beautiful voice, slide guitars were amazing -- a complete music show. And Flagstar Strand Theatre is an awesome venue -- will see more shows there.

Great concert, nice small venue, very good opportunity to enjoy every song. The first half of the concert is all new songs, the second half is the older hits. I highly recommend this not only to all Zucchero's fans but to anyone who wants to listen to great live blues and rock ballads.
