exellent musician and song writer, however very dissapointed in the fact it was a SOLO acoustic preformance, and the venue NEVER advertised or divulged it was going to be him alone and not the complete band. Made the trip just to see him and his band and when a musician is doing a solo acoustic performance, it should be advertised that way.

The show was put on to celebrate Go Country's 4th anniversary as a country radio station. All four act were fantastic! After the Jane Dear Girls performed, they presented the radio station with a cake to recognize their anniversary! Very emotional for all involved, including DJ Shawn Parr! I love House of Blues shows because of their imtimate feeling! I was able to stand fairly close to the stage, on the right side, next to the bar. Great spot to experience the concert! I have attended several concerts at HOB Anaheim, and this show did NOT let me down! Great job HOB staff! I will be back! ~CountryRockStar

There were seven of us who went to the WYRK acoustic show last night, 2/3/2010 at the Univerisity at Buffalo Center for the Arts. We all thought the show was amazing. My 10 yr. old niece was there with us, she especially enjoyed it because she is taking guitar lessons. This is our 4th acoustic show that we have attended at UB Center for the Arts. We can't wait until the next one. You can't beat the price, very reasonable. I would recommend this event to all my friends.

Great show. The venue and format make for a wonderful experience. Country performers seem to really enjoy what they do and appreciate the fact that people come out to see them. James Otto was especially good.

I enjoyed the show. The venue is awesome! I was disappointed that the show was only just over an hour long. I would've liked more from these talented artists. I also think there should be some sort of traffic control for when the concert lets out and people are trying to get out of the parking lots.

Was disappointed in this concert. Started at 7:30 pm and was out the door before 9 pm. An hour and a half? Each artist played 4 songs... While all the artists were great, especially James Otto and his rendition of In Color, I think they could have played a couple more songs.

I have been to every acoustic show that 106.5 has put on at UB, and sat everywhere from the balcony to front row. There is not a bad seat in the place, these shows are by far the most entertaining shows I have seen. Loved Jamey Johnson the most!! And Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Chris Young, Justin Moore....and on and on. Great time!

Congrats to WYRK for once again putting on a Premier show! James Otto, David Nail and Easton Corbin's performances last night were amazing. This truly was one of the best concerts I've ever attended. The UB Center for the arts is a perfect venue for acoustic storytelling shows - although there were thousands in attendance, it felt so personal and private. One of the best moments, besides "Joe" who sang karaoke style with Steel Magnolia was when James Otto sang the song he co-wrote with Jamie Johnson... in color. I recently lost my grandfather and that song shared an extra special meaning more than others. I would go see any of these dynamos at any time!

This show was so much more than what I was anticipating. James Otto was fabulous, but I have to say that David Nail, and Easton Corbin totally held their own. I can't remember a concert I enjoyed more than this one. It was a soulful display of exposed talent. With an accoustic show, there is nothing to 'hide' behind, you've either 'got it' or you don't. These guys have it. Bravo.

James Otto was amazing!!! David Nail and Easton Corbin were very good too. I feel like the show should have been a little bit longer. It did not start at 7:30 like the ticket said. The show only went for a little over an hour. The singers were great though!

We really enjoyed Joey & Rory, but did not enjoy James Otto too much. The sound quality was not very good. The music, bass, etc overpowered his voice and made it very hard to hear the lyrics.

The opening act, Joey + Rory was fantastic! That is why me and my two boys went to the show, to see them and hear their music. Joey + Rory are real traditional country music, simple but clear instumental, and awesome vocals. Nothing flashy, it's just about the music. The only negatives would be the limited song set, maybe 8-10 songs, and the absolute haze of casino smoke you have to walk through! We got to sit right up close to the stage, which is great since Joey is such a looker! We stayed for about 3 songs by James Otto, but it was really loud and hard to hear the vocals. I would definitely want to see Joey + Rory again back here in MN or anywhere else I can find them!

James Otto is very passionate about his music. His voice is beautiful when he's singing a country ballad as well as belting out a country soul tune! Jimmy Wayne was an extra surprise.......his voice is amazing, but he seemed to be more of an "entertainer" rather than a good 'ole country boy singing a country tune. And Jimmy's band members were just as awesome as he is.....very entertaining!!!!! My first thought when I walked into the Rusty Spur was "James Otto is singing here?" No disrespect at all for the Rusty Spur......nice place, but VERY small. It was humbling to see James play a small venue when he's such a BIG country star. Glad I stayed until after midnight to hear James play since technical difficulties delayed his start time until well after midnight.

Jimmy Wayne was a great performer for the venue. He had the place rocking. He came out promptly on his time. James Otto took forever to come out and get started, the stage was dark and clear waiting for him. His crew was playing the music in which was being heard over the speakers during the wait, which there were many people who complained to Rusty Spur staff that had previously been playing the music, but it was out of their control. I was highly disappointed that South of Sunset was cancelled by James Otto as the opening act, I had bought the tickets with the intention of seeing them and having Jimmy Wayne and James Otto as a bonus.

He was great but I wish they would have really told you when he started!!! By the time he came on stage we both were sick from cigarette smoke and had to leave 25 min. into the show:( We drove back home and had to take our close off in the garage and shower the minite we walked in!!!! . I loved him but wasted a lot of $$$$ waiting to hear him.... Smoke free and I'll go back in a heart beat....otherwise I'll stay home and enjoy his CD.

The concert was freaking awesome. James was fighting a bit of a cold but said he was going to do his best to sing all night, and he KEPT that promise. He kicked butt with his extremely soulful Country sound. This was my third time seeing him in concert and by far, not even close to my last time!!! If anyone gets a chance to go see this amazing artist in concert, do so. You will not walk away disappointed!!!

With such a small crowd, I was completely impressed with his ability to play to the audience as if it was 10,000 - with so much charisma and charm - quite a ham with all those smiles - an incredible voice - someone who took control of the entire show and made me glad that I was there to be enveloped by his energy - and his relationship with the band was fun to watch - they clearly get a "kick" out of each other. He is on his way to the big time with a spirit that matches it.

It's not very often you get a chance to hear voices like these boys have without all the clutter of their bands. James Otto is always incredible, and tonight was exceptional, with his soul-filled delivery of 'In Color'. David Nail has become a new favorite for me after belting out his latest single, and Easton Corbin's a newcomer I'm going to be following a lot more closely now. The show was only disappointing because it was so short at just over an hour, but it was a fantastic hour.

As always, James Otto was awesome. He is just as good with only a guitar as he is with his entire band! I just wonder why people haven't caught on to his talent yet.... David Nail & Easton Corbin were definately a pleasant suprise. I like to judge artists on their live performances compared to recordings we hear on the radio. I think this really allows their talent to show through. Both proved themselves to me! I expect to see much more of them both in the future. As for James Otto, I am sure that the best is yet to come - keep an eye on him!!

I thought all three performers had strong voices and performances. However, when they stood up and the lights, came on, I thought it was an intermission, not the end of the concert. The concert was over at 9:00 P.M.. That meant a 90 minute concert for three performers, or, 30 minutes each. I expect more out of a concert. This was by far the shortest concert that I ever attended.

Everybody sounded amazing last night. The venue is the best, beautiful acoustics, such a nice change from the usual Darien Lake shows in the area. This is the second acoustic show I've attended. It feels so much like sitting around in your own living room, I kept wanting to reach for the remote and replay. This is the only way to REALLY enjoy the music itself without all the hype and fanfare. It's so relaxing and I enjoy the maturity of the crowd. Don't get me wrong, a concert at Darien Lake or Taste of Country is a good time but sometimes you just want the tranquility of good music. Not only is the price crazy low, it's a thrill to be able to take a photo with your favorite artist. Bring on the next show!!!

I wish they would have shared more about themselves in between songs, instead of David Nail repeating 3 times how he's been in Nashville doing this for 10 yrs. Easton Corbin is real new to country music, so some info about him would have been nice. My favorite was James Otto. He had no other musical instruments or help, just him and his guitar and he was by far the best. Steel Magnolia couldn't perform, because the guy was sick, so I thought putting an audience member on the spot to come up and sing with Megan from Steel Magnolia's was kind of lame. Why did she even come out. They should have just skipped it all together!
