Empires

Empires is on a roll. New record coming out soon. The new songs catch you the first time and are true to the Empires sound we know and love. Frankies was lame. Been there before. They did not open at 7 to let the band set up like they said and got there to open at 8P. Empires has to do sound check after the warm up band while we where all waiting. Easily avoided it Frankies had just been there on time to let the bands set up and do sound check.

Empires put on an energetic performance, as always.

Overall a great show - wish this band was bigger than they actually are.

From their dark, smooth, gritty, sexy opener, "Hello Lover" to the crazy, raucous ending song "Bang" - I was totally hooked on empires. They blew me away with their non-stop great tunes. I 've been hearing awesome things about them from so many people and from the Rolling Stone contest last year and I was excited to see them live with my favs, Kaiser Chiefs. The crowd seemed to be really into it from the first song and it just kept growing to the huge finish. Everyone around me was digging it. What a perfect start to a great night. The band was really tight, especially the guitars, backing a really charismatic singer with the memorable rocker voice. These songs are so well-written and played so I'm really stoked to grab their new record in June. If you haven't already, download their free music . You won't regret it. Their live show was so great that I will for sure go check them out anytime around the Chicago area. Go see em - you won't regret it. .

Empires puts on a great show. The band was very friendly and took time to talk to everyone after the show. I really hope that they go on to become a big name in music as they are far more talented than alot of current popular music.

2nd time for this band. Plan on goin to Akron. They are very nice guys but really the music and stage presence are top notch. Wish they are goin on the cover of the Rolling Stone.
