The music was so awesome, that it brought tears to my eyes and chills throughout my body! I cannot wait for next year! One simply cannot beat the price for that spiritual uplifting.

Great event. Have been following this event to 2 years now and I love it. Went to Detroit last year for the finals and sure I will follow again next year.

I really enjoyed the event and all of the artists and choirs. I was a little disappointed that Calvary Men of Valor from DC did not perform in the same fashion as they did in the regional competition (skipped the 1st verse and the impressive falsetto) which I think would have been the difference in their style and versatility. That would have given them the title!

This was an awesome show, I just think they should have startd by 6:00, it was kind of late when we got out of there

The concert was excellent. The only complaints I had were that the seating was terrible and for at least the second time, it didn't start on time. Also, Karen Clark-Sheard was absolutely terrible as a judge.

First I would like to congratulate the winning choirs. This was an excellent concert and I cannot wait until next year's concert.

I love gospel music, so I love this venue to see and hear different choirs from around the nation. They bless us with renditions of old familiar hymns, new, popular songs and sometimes our favorites too. It is a wonderful event and I love the fact that it is presented at a time, place and especially price that invites all people to enjoy the music, fellowship, and performances of top gospel music artists no matter your financial circumstance. I applaud Donald Lawrence and Verizon for making this happen. I enjoy it so much that i've considered traveling to Philly, next year, to see their regional competion too. This is a well planned and executed event that deserves the praise I'm sure it will receive from all who attended. Geat birthday treat for me.

This is my second time at the verizon center. The staff was unbelievably kind and helpful. If you've never been to a "How Sweet the Sound" event, you are missing an experience of a lifetime. To be in the house with some of God's most anoited musical ministers was fantastic. I highly recommend attending the next year if you missed it this year. Bottom line, all i can say is WOW!!!!!

I loved the entire program. The choirs were great and the entertaiment by CeCe and BeBe. Marvin and Fred was unbelievable and we got all of that for $5-7. Who can ask for more.

This was my first time attending the national competition. I hope it returns to DC next year. It was amazing. I encourage anyone who loves gospel or who needs to be fed spiritually to attend this event.

It was a very nice spiritual experience. All the groups were very dynamic. Hopefully, next year some of the gospel songs they sing might have some gospel songs from Tyler Perry's movies. That would be a treat, indeed!

I really enjoyed all choirs. I am very proud of the Men's Choir from D.C. for holding it down.

I thought that the show was very nice, however, I was VERY disappointed in the fact that when I purchased my tickets over a month in advance, the seating chart showed that there were no floor seats available. Only to see that there were HUNDREDS of floor seats available seats. That was very disappointing considering where our seats were!

THERE are no words it was just so PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Each judge (Hezekiah Walker, Tamela Mann, VaShawn Mitchell and Dorinda Clark Cole) sang a song as well as the co-hosts (Yolanda Adams and Donald Lawrence). For me, this took the whole experience to another level! I will definitely catch this show each year!

I will admit it has been better with the set up being different at Phillips Arena, but the movement and presence of God was not lacking! I was glad to see Yolanda back to help host, I missed Marvin Sapp tho! His performances were always amazing! Good show! Not sure why there were only 6 choirs this time?

This event has become a tradition that I take my mom and my daughter to. We have been going to this event for the last five years. I have to say that this was one of the best that we have been to. The change in venue was awesome. The sound was 100 times better than the United Center. I also have to mention that we had front row seats this year and it doesn't get any better than that. Tamela Mann was amazing. She is even more beautiful in person. Yolanda Adams and Donald Lawrence did a great as MC and the judges did an outstanding job. The winner that they picked was the one we picked. Congratulations to the winning Choir and we look forward to going next year. I have been informed that front seats are a requirement going forward. I hope it is at the Arie Crown Next year. Thanks Ticketmaster for being able to order my tickets early. I scored a lot of points with both my daughter and my mother. Lita

OMG - I came all the way from Bermuda to see this show and I was NOT disappointed @ ALL. It was so NICE to be in the company of so many like-minded people that there were to SIMPLY get their Gospel PRAISE on!

This was an amazing event. The level of talent in the choirs was amazing. Seeing some of my favorite artists perform live was unforgettable. I come every year and will continue to do so God willing for all future shows by this sponsor.

I was so looking forward to this show. I love Yolanda Adams and Tamela Mann. The only problem that I had was the extremely rude woman that was sitting next to us. Besides being in my seat when I arrived, she was loud and annoying. But other than that, great show

How sweet the sound was awesome. This was my third year and it was better that ever. Wish it could have lasted longer. more choirs.

This is my fourth HSTS and each year is as good as the last. Although the choirs appear to have been reduced and the competition went from small and large choirs to one mass competition, didn't seem to affect the evening or flow of the competition.

All the choirs were great. the host also sang and were wonderful!!

The show was off the hook and I love good I would like to see it again.

This event was Awesome, Anointed & Amazing!! I took my 2 teenager daughters and they already can't wait for it to come back next year! The choirs were absolutely amazing. I was out of my seat dancing the entire time. We could not have had better hosts. Donald Lawrence and Yolanda Adams, need I say more! The judging panel were all superstars of gospel music. My daughters and I truly had the best time at this event. I'm also grateful that the tickets were reasonably priced which allowed me to bring my daughters. Thank you Verizon Wireless for sponsoring this event! I am a proud Verizon subscriber and God willing, my girls and I will attend again next year!

I Loved every moment, all the choirs were excellent, and the artists oh my. I came with an expectancy of a move God and received it.

I have attended How Sweet the Sound for the past 5 or 6 years (haven't missed one) and I do believe this is the best one yet...I am not sure if it was the venue change (the choirs were a lot clearer), the crowd or the judges/hosts but it was great. We had an amazing spirit filled time. The Spirit was really moving in the place.

How Sweet the Sound was Awesome! The energy from the audience and the hosts was great! The best one I've been to!

I enjoyed each and every act all seven choir was excellent this is my second time seeing them the frist time was at Joe Louis don't care for Joe Louis area so I never went back but when I heard that how sweet the sound was at the Fox theather I was excited about it and can't wait for the next time I loved all of them.

This was my 1st time attending this event. Every thing was good except the part when one judge made bad comments about a choir. You should keep it on a professional level at all times.

The entire event was AWESOME...from start to finish!!!!

My children and I really enjoyed the choirs and performers! Tamela Mann took us to church! Praise God. It was an amazing evening.

The event was great! It was a wonderful experience all the way through. I took my 16 year old son with me and the next day he stated that he really had a good time. The only critique is that it started later than expected.

How Sweet the Sound exceeded my expectations. I didn't know Hezekiah Walker, Tamela Mann, Yolanda Adams, Donald Lawrence, Vashawn Mitchell and Bishop Paul S. Morton were going to perform. I thought it was just going to be choirs competing. It was an awesome concert and definitely worth every penny. There were a lot of empty seats and if you weren't there, you missed out. Another surprise was Bishop Morton's dry humor. He is hilarious and should do stand up. Every time he gave his critique of the previous choir's performance, he had something funny to say. I live and breathe the 504, but I still think Strong Tower Gospel Chorale out of Grambling, LA, directed by Dr. Pinkney, deserved to win. They sang acapella for crying out loud and you could understand every word.

I LOVED IT!!!!!!! Everyone was amazing, Erica from mary mary did an amazing job on ' Yesterday'. I can not wait until next year.

I enjoyed my self very much , and my guest said they really enjoyed them selves, they said it was a great experience to be with that many people loving the LORD was over the top, he said he could feel the love for the LORD

A truly amazing experience. The joy on the faces of the choir and the uplifting message that the music gave will last me through till next year. To see the entire audience on their feet should have been testament enough that the message was coming through loud and clear. The only down side I could see was that at times the sound was a little too loud to hear what was being sung. But mostly it was a heart warming experience. I was speechless by night's-end. I was alternately dancing and in tears. The energy was overwhelming! and it is clear that these people are inspired by . . . if not by God then I don't know what! I love the movement to the songs,

It was time well spent. The price was affordable. And i'm looking forward to coming back again.

I must say it was AWESOME, WONDERFUL, ANOINTED, AND SPIRIT FILLED, I went on Wednesday and today is Friday and I am still floating on A Natural, Spiritual High, God was truly present, the Choirs was Awesome, the people who came out was Wonderful, I went by myself but the Love of Christ which was present in the center let me know I was not alone, it was just Wonderful to see so many people from all over Praising, Worshipping, Thanking, Glorifying and Magnifying Our Lord and Savior.... I can't wait for Next Year, and then the performances by Donald Lawrence, Ce Ce, Marvin Sapp, Shirley Ceasar and Fred Hammond what can I say Speechless....Yes Yes Yes!!!

Great events but it started 45 mins late - not good.

This event was the best I have experienced in a long time. I was amazed with my seats, and enjoyed every minute of the celebration.

Everything was on time and in order, every performance was was great. Didn't agree to the final decision on the large choir wasn't accurate. The audience made the decision and we cant change that. Hope to be there next year if it's God's will.

Now 18,I have been attending how sweet the sound since 2008 3 years ago! For starters they have 2 ticket prices for 5 dollars or 7 dollars. The host is always Donald Lawrence. the 3 judges that sit on the panel always changes each show but is your favorites in gospel,acting,radio you name it.You will always see other local celebrities that come out to have a good time. The show attracts all ages you will see droves of teenagers and also cliques of the elderly pulling up.Every year I have always made friends with the people I was sitting by because they are super friendly! Now lets get to the choirs! The choirs bring their A game when it comes to vocals,wardrobe,band,choreography,and also musical leader. Basically the show is centered around creating the audience a lifetime experience. ps: bring your cell phone charged and ready to go because there are many things that deal with your cell phone. peoples choice award is calculated by the audience texting a certain number kind of like american idol. Also before the show and during intermission you can text this certain number to show support of your choir. The text will show up on enormous projectors for all to see! See you guys this year!

For $5.00 I got to see some great choirs competing and some of the great Gospel recording artist live on stage performing and judging the competition. The show was amazing and the judges (who also performed) kept the crowd laughing and fired up for God.

I was so moved by all of the performances in Philadelphia as well as D.C. I couldnt imagine that any of the performances could be topped before visiting D.C. I was thrilled to see the passion, and the technicality, and the youth and aged alike joining together to sing praises to his name. Church was definitely happening on November 13th. We APPRECIATE verizon for showing up and showing out.

This event was amazing!! It started about 30 minutes late but it was well worth it. I enjoyed every act. It lasted about 2 hours. If anyone has the chance to go next year I surly recommend it!!

The show started late, maybe 30-40 minutes. The choirs were great, sounded good, the stars talked a bit too much, I guess trying to stretch time. The show was good, not enough singing ......

I really had a good time. It was more people this year then last year. The ticket price wasn't bad at all and I had great seats. I will be there again next year. I like the face they they switch up the judges.

i thought it was good, but i didn't think the talent this year was as good as previous years. While every group could sing and sounded good, the competition just really wasn't there for me this year. The group that was the audiences' and judges' pick was definitely the group to win. That being said, i hope next year's competition will produce just a little more outstanding talent.

This was a great event from start to finish I plan on going again next year.

Verizon's How Sweet the Sound was an amazing experience. It was very well organized. The groups were very talented. Although the winning group was exceptional I felt Vy Higgensin's Gospel for Teens should have won both the People's Choice and First Place prizes.

This was an incredible event I enjoyed every performance more and more. Awesome!

We loved the show! It was the right length. Parking needs to be more organized at the Atl Civic Center.

I enjoyed the the choirs, they were innovative and energetic, God was in the house. Looking forward to seeing who will actually win in California in November .

The music was great which made the competition even better.

I was really happy with the performances and all the celebrities. Gods presence was most definitely in the building. It was uplifting and entertaining. I just wished it wasa little longer

This was my first time attending HSTS and. I really enjoyed it. The choirs were amazing and the celebrities were great. The show was constantly moving. The only issue I had is that the show started late. Since it was on a week day and many people had to commute home after the show, there should be more of an effort to start on time. Otherwise it was great.

The show was excellent. The performers was great and the winning Choir was one of a kind. Their could perform a show of their own. Needs to be more show of this kind.

Tamela Mann's performance was incredible! The children's choir from Harlem was awesome and very theatrical! Broadway here they come! Also my next favorite was St. Thomas African choir they was on point!

The show was everything I expected plus more. I loved that all the judges sung their most popular songs throughout the show as well. It was like a mini concert. The choirs were awesome. They showed up and showed out!!! And the audience was definitely glorifying The Lord Jesus Christ!!! This was my first year attending, but surely it would be the first of many!
