You may find yourself among a motley crowd of rednecks that hoot and holler throughout the show. That's OK. The fun is in the singalong lyrics, the foot stomping, the hand clapping, and the skillful "gitar" playing by Rev. Peyton. It's an experience miles apart from any big name band at MSG, and way better.

Going in as a fan of Reverends Peyton Big Damn Band I of course had an excellent time. Wonderful music, great stage presence, and so delicious live. I brought along a few friends, a couple who were only marginally familiar with the Reverend Peyton and they were amazed at the band, especially of course Reverend Peyton on guitar. They are now new fans! I have new respect for Breezy on washboard too.

Small intimate venue, we were able to speak with the opening acts and Rev Peyton before and in between their sets.

i first seen Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band this summer at Summer Camp in Illinois! WOW!! This was my third show i attended for the summer :) Words or videos can not begin to describe the feeling when seeing them live. The energy felt in a crowd at a show is simply indescribable. If you get an opportunity to see them DONT miss it. You will not regret it!

The energy level of these three is amazing! Even if you don't like punk style music they will entertain you all night long! I met them in Clarksdale, MS this April before their Euro tour. They were leaving the next day and very excited about it. I am sorry to say I don't remember the drummer's name but he was fun to watch playing because even though he didn't have a mic he was singing along all night long! Good times at the Vogue. I may even see them in ATL because I live there, just happened to be visiting Indy for Thanksgiving. I am more of a heavy blues fan but this is a must see group for any music lover!

The energy of the show was incredible and the band sounded great. This was the second time i have gotten the opportunity to see these guys and i can't wait to see them again. I loved the fact that it was such an up close and personal venue and they were very interactive with the fans. I got to stand up front and witness it all.

This is the fifth time I have seen the Reverend and family. They have never disappointed. Such amazing music and energy. They always seem so truly grateful for the fans that come out to see them. Their gonna be big, so don't miss out if you get the chance to see them at a smaller venue like the Tralf!!!

From the moment the Reverend, Breezy and Ben took the stage, the crowd kept bouncing until the night's last "Thank you so much". Amazing guitar riffs and distinctive vocals carried a set of energetic original songs with a healthy nod to country blues. Throughout the show we could tell that the Big Damn Band was having a mighty good time. The show left me exhausted and grinning.

If you have never seen Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, then you are missing out on a show that will have you dancing and smiling the whole time. I have seen them 3 times this year alone and I will continue going to their shows whenever they are in the area. I listen to mostly rock music, so I was skeptical the first time I went to see them but I quickly came to find that it doesn't matter the type of music that you typically listen to, you will have a great time watching The Big Damn Band. The show at the Taft was sort of a homecoming show for them making it my favorite show of the year. My advice: Go next year!

Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band never fails to put on a fabulous show. I had never been to their holiday show at the Taft but will not miss another one. Great set of music, even got into the Christmas spirit with Feliz Navidad. The Tillers killed it as the opener too. Made some new fans that night.

I am a new, absolute fan, of The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band. The opening number really set the tone for the whole show. Call me crazy, but I had a Primus flashback....could just be me! Whatever we are calling it, The Rev and company really put on a great show and I can't wait to see them again.

My favorite part was when Breezy set her washboard on fire and smashed it on the stage.

First saw this band in Sturgis, SD At the Full Throttle Saloon during the Motorcycle Rally. Very unusual band. We were impressed and hooked as fans right away. I was thrilled to hear their home state is Indiana meaning we would see them again. It was a great show in Cincinnati at the Taft. He claimed he was losing his voice but there was no sign. Will definitely go see thus band again!

Although way too loud for me, I loved the whole damn thing. I was let down they didn't play the persimmon song, but otherwise very happy with the whole show. It went way later than I expected and the resulting tinnitus was an unwelcome feature, so plan accordingly.

I saw them for the 1st time on New Years Ever 2012 in Bloomington. I had no idea what to expect. They blew me away! An absolutely awesome experience and I will definitely see them again. Their timing is perfect, tons of energy, they clearly enjoy what they are doing...very entertaining. And loud! They reminded me of Flogging Molly. Rev Peyton has wicked guitar skills.

The Rev and Breezy Peyton are excellent performers and engaged the crowd easily and often. Rev is an outstanding guitarist and a showman with his guitar, playing it behind his head and then playing 2 songs at once. His rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" at midnight was amazing.

The Big Damn Band does it again! Endless energy and hard bluegrass that's tough enough to grow hair on your chest. So much fun, and Mercury Lounge was a great venue for them!

First time I heard the Tillers and I like them. I really like the Big Damn band. The venue not so much. A concrete basement two floors down. Only the bodies of the crowd to absorb the sound. My db meter hit peaks of 106 thirty feet from the stage. The sound wore me out before the end. the lounge area made a good haven. The damn Band didn't bring enough cds. I couldn't buy one of each of the lot. I had to pick and choose. Good music to boogey to when I have some control.

Overall, this was a good time. The music was fun (although somewhat repetitious) and the musicians were entertaining to watch. The Reverend is a good guitarist and I loved his many guitars, especially the cigar box one. The opening act was pretty awesome too. I would definitely go to see these folks again, but hopefully at a venue that has seats.

The Tillers opened up, and then Rev. Breezy and Cuz blew us away. Music was great, though a bit heavy on bass. Wished they would go on before 10 pm though.

The first time you see these guys and of course Breezy live you're in complete awe, and an instant fan. There's no other show like it, and no one plays vintage guitars like the Reverend . There's always a crowd of their following - that's entertaining in itself -, but it's a huge treat to take someone for the first time. No question -- Go out of your way to see this band WHENEVER you get the opportunity to see them locally.

Although an opening act was not listed anywhere, the Cox Brothers and Harsh Reality put on some really great original music prior to the Reverend's act. We got there early and were able to sit on the sidelines on a church pew and watch most of their music. When the Rev came on at 11 pm, we had to stand as the floor filed up with all the concertgoers. Rev Petyon and band was extremely high energy and entertaining. The problem with the whole event was the venue. The Bluebird smelled bad and was dark and dank. The worst part was the water dripping from the ceiling and landing on our heads during the Reverends show! Not sure if the roof was leaking or if it was coming from the air handler. At any rate, it made it hard to enjoy. I will never go back to the Bluebird for any event.

One of a kind. A washboard on fire, a cigar box guitar. There is nothing like it! People even drove down from north of Toronto Canada just catch the show.
