Meiko

Before going to the concert, I was a very big Meiko fan. I had expectations and hopes of her being amazing live and I was not disappointed at all. Her voice was so beautiful and her stage presence was so sweet. With the chill, living room feel of Varsity Theater, Meiko's cool acoustic vibe was everything I hoped it would be.

I went expecting the great songs, but what I got was an amazing performer. She was so personable. Her stories were so funny and went right along with her songs. The music sounded better than on the album. I walked out of the Varsity wanting to tell everyone how funny she was.

What a great show! Meiko really delivered the goods that night. Her sultry alto voice was spot on and she even hung around a bit after the show to chat and drink.

Meiko... she is an amazing artist. Her records are awesome, and she is even better live. She is quirky, honest, and had a wonderful voice. Even my boyfriend, who I unwillingly dragged to the show, was really impressed. She is totally down to earth, her music is great, and she has a great band to back her up.

The venue was pretty crowded and Meiko actually mingled with the fans during her start up act, noone in the crowd really realized that it was her though, her stage presens is very nice and personal, her voice is great and her humore that reflects in her songs is great. I had a great time and would love to see her again when she books more shows in the Seattle area. This was my second time I watched her perform (first time her being a startup for Michaecl Wells). I would recomend everyone that loves women + guitar and a seductive voice to buy a ticket to her next show!!!!

I was excited to get to see her, love her music, lyrics. Would definitely go again.

She has the sexiest voice I've heard in years and her banter was surprisingly witty. Will be at the next show for sure!

I went to Meiko's show at the Blueberry Hill on my Anniversary with my boyfriend. She even dedicated our song, "Reason to love you" to the two of us. It was such an intimate venue that it felt like we were in someone's basement. She had such a great personality and it showed during the show. She has a great sense of humor & between all of her songs, she kept our attention and kept us laughing. I highly recomend seeing this girl, she has big things in store for her! :)

The Music was Great and I got to Meet Her After the Concert !! She was So Sweet ! I gave her manager Dan . My Email so he said she would contact me ! I wrote Lyrics for her she said she was Interested ! I am Working with Wendy Starland now ! I don't know if I will Have Time For Mieko , but I still love her and her Music... I regret that my Flash did not go Off , when my niece took a picture with me and Mieko!!

Meiko played many of her songs from her self-titled CD as well as some new ones. She told funny little stories about the songs or how they were written. Her interaction with the audience was the best part. She blushed when she explained that the "pictures under my bed" were just photo booth kinds, not the "nekkid" ones someone in the audience was suggesting. She did a fun and interesting cover of Rick James "Superfreak." The only downside of the show was its length. Get writing those songs or working on covers, Meiko, we don't want to see you leave that stage!
