Friendly Fires was absolutely FANTASTIC! I had a great time. The energy was amazing. I wish the show was longer but the hour and a half they were on stage was magical. I LOVED the show!!

I haven't been to many concerts as of yet, but I left this concert with the impression that it will always be my favorite and most memorable. I went with my close friend, I fellow Friendly Fires fan. The venue looked very clean and lighting effects were excellent. Theophilus London was entertaining and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Seeing Friendly Fires come in for the first time was like seeing the President (or I would imagine). Some highlights of the concert were when Ed jumped into the crowd (on two different occasions), when they plays there most popular songs like Skeleton Boy, Paris, and Lovesick, and when they came back after "leaving" for an encore.

Some friends and I took a trip down to LA to see Friendly Fires @ Club Nokia. Their show pretty much exceeded my expectations, I already knew they were going to be Fantastic live...they def. put on one of the best shows hands down. Can't wait to see them live again!

The show was great:) I'd never been to the roxy before and I really liked it! Friendly Fires always puts on a fun show. Both of the opening bands were surprisingly great! I really loved the first one but I dont know their name... but I'm searching desperately! Superhumanoids knocked my socks off... I'd never heard of them before but seeing them live made me a believer. Check them out!!:D

What a half-hearted performance. Saw them last year at Webster Hall and they were AMAZING. They looked sluggish and not into it. Which matters a lot for a high-energy band. A bad night.

Sound quality was great. Friendly Fires performance was amazing Opening band wasn't energetic enough to really warm up the crowd. Venue was too crowded for dancing. Waiting to get in the venue in the rain was unpleasant. Staff was quick, courteous and stern when necessary.

The show started a little later then i had assumed but it was well worth the wait. The sound system at webster hall was amazing for The Xx. The bass seemed a bit overpowering to the rest of the band, but it was still a good set. And i love that they played the florence an the machine remix by The Xx in between the Xx set and the Friendly Fires. Then The Friendly Fires came out and rocked the roof off the W Hall. I love bands that will do impromptu jam sections rather then just play exactly what is on their albums. Following the footsteps of great bands like The Violent Femmes, !!!, and Hot Chip, they didnt hold back on the jam sections within the occasional song. All and all it was an amazing show and i look forward to seeing both The Xx and The Friendly Fires again sometime down the road.

Friendly Fires completely stole the show, nailed every song, got COMPLETELY into it. The crowd was really great and enthusiastic, the venue was the perfect size, sound and lights were great, and everyone danced like crazy. Incredible. Supporting band The XX were cool too, set the stage perfectly and gave good contrast to the more energetic and upbeat FF. I just hope they all come back soon to play again.

It was really hard to enjoy Friendly Fires to their full potential because the crowd didn't really seem to understand that their music is intensely danceable and that they shouldn't stand still when they listen to it. They were really good performers, I just had a hard time getting into it.

The XX was SO boring. They were the worst live band I have ever seen. Every damn song sounded exactly the same; same vocal pitch, beat, etc. Horrible. But other than that, I had a good time. Friendly Fires are so energetic and amazing.

seen friendly fires 4 other times and this was as good, if not better, than the rest. and it was my first time to club nokia and i loved it. sounded great and it was clean (as in not dirty) which is much different than almost all other venues. only complaint was that pit entry was reserved for those who arrive early and got wristbands. i think that's lame. very disappointed to have missed theophilus, but i heard he put on a great show.

I saw Friendly Fires last weekend in LA, and they were nothing short of AMAZING. The quality of the music was incredible (near-perfect to what you hear on their albums, but with just enough grit that you know you're seeing them play live). And the dancing! Mind-blowing. I took a friend who had never heard of them before, and she left a converted fan. My only complaint would be that the set seemed shorter than many shows I've gone to, but it was still great regardless.

Another fantastic show from Friendly Fires.....venue not as intimate as the Music Box, but the atmosphere and sound quality made up for that instantly. We missed the beginning of Theophilus London's set unfortunately, but loved what we saw. As ever, Friendly Fires don't disappoint....the albums are great but they're even better live!

Friendly Fires was incredibly tight and energetic. I had been waiting to see this band for 2 years! Ed's dance moves inspired all to shake it to the groove. Both groups left everything on the stage and did not hold back one ounce! Theophilus London was a nice treat to discover live!

This was the second time seeing the friendly fires this year. Saw them in June at the music box, I thought they were unforgettable the first time but this show made me realize that statement is very true. Ed Mcfarlane has an amazing presence, it was rumored he had been ill but his dance moves never seem to fail. I have seen many lives acts, but without hesitation the Friendly Fires are by far the best live act around.

Friendly Fires are FANTASTIC live. They have so much energy and passion; they really put 100% into their performances. This was the second time I've seen them (the first time being on the tour for their debut album at the El Rey) and they were just as great this second time around. Their new songs definitely show progress, and are a bit moodier and not as full-out-dance-assault as the first album, but they still build to a great, dance climax. All-in-all this is a great, young band with a lot of promise and tons of energy. I can't wait to see what their future holds. GO SEE THEM IF YOU GET THE CHANCE!

I would have to say that Friendly Fires put on what I would consider the single best live performance I have ever seen. Their cohesive energy and obvious passion for music (not to mention their raw talent) made for an unforgettable concert experience. As entertaining to watch as they are to listen to, Friendly Fires rocked the house accompanied by a killer light show that would make even the lamest of people want to dance. A perfect set.

How far the band goes they probably were a amazing band. But do to my 5'0'' status I was unable to see the band. If I were to sit up there, my vision would be blurred. The sound around me echoed beyond me, I was worrying about the speakers being beyond the area, if I were to hear them good as the person in front, they probably be amazing. Just sad that I was unable to see the third member of the band.. I guess they were good no matter what the people thought it was going to be not perfect because of some sort of problem, I'm pretty sure some people can't notice. This is my first concert not being as huge as the Honda Center, and all I can say to the fact is that the experience was much better, just something different was that the people here were much older and more of a party person. These bands deserve a good rating without the problems of unable to get to view them better, they deserve the ratings in terms of music ignoring the venue review.

Had a great night seeing Friendly Fires at the Music Box. I took my wife who had only heard the 'hits' but that was enough. Energetic sold-out crowd were loving the band from England. Tribal beats meets dance music meets 80's retro-alternative. Very fun with an eclectic crowd of old and young alike. I must say something about Hollywood Blvd and the Sobriety Checkpoint right outside the W hotel. Freakin Yikes!!! We had a few glasses of wine at dinner before the show and were driving East toward the Music Box on Hollywood. We found ourselves trapped unable to get off the street with about 50 police cars and pattywagons lined up on the street. I'm all about safety but what a joke and waste of resources. We got by with no issues but would think twice about going to that part of town on a Friday again. And by the way, the Music Box while a great Venue is run like a typical Corporate Prison inside, you can't move two steps without getting double checked and hassled by one of their staff with a headset, sorry, I'm an oldschooler but too many lawyers and accountants can kill the vibe at a show - I thought this was Hollwood??

First time seeing the Friendly Fires live and totally happy with the experience. Outdoors around sunset at a festival would have been a better venue for the huge summery sound they bring, particularly with the wildly atmospheric tracks off the new album, Pala. Sound quality was a little lacking (though it could have been my corner-stage positioning) and vocals were difficult to hear in the mix, but that was the only reason not to give five stars. The boys had an incredible amount of stage presence and energy, and the session guys filled out the tracks nicely. Cheers!

The venue was surprisingly cozy, the band was AMAZING, and the people were really cool, which was great considering that it was NYC (nothing against New Yorkers, mind you...) I'd read some reviews of Webster Hall on Yelp that were mixed, so I went with some trepidation. My experience was grand- the staff members with whom I interacted were gregarious and informative. I shall return for a show here- unequivocally.

Picture this: you're standing in a concert hall for an hour, waiting for the band to come on stage. You're not sure what to expect, as the opener was alright but nothing special. Then the lights go out, and a synth begins to drone. Then all of a sudden you're thrust into the most energetic and upbeat performance you've ever seen. Everyone's moving, including the band. Your heart's racing, and you realize that this is going to be one show you won't soon forget. Thus was the Friendly Fires show last night, December 5. The band was full of raw, uninhibited energy, and the crowd only enhanced their performance. Pure gold.

This was the second time in months that I got to see Friendly Fires and again it was at the Paradise in Boston. The show was again absolutely amazing and I was able to introduce the Friendly Fires experience to three new people(my fiancee, and a close married couple). The air was oozing from the built up excitement and anticipation of show. The boys of Friendly Fires did not disappoint as they hit the ground running with classic hits like Skeleton Boy, Jump in the Pool, and On Board. Of course they had to bring the fire from their second album Pala via tracks like Pull Me Back to Earth, I ll Live Those Days Tonight, and the soulfully sung Chimes. The crowd hit many energy high points dancing non stop through the classic song Paris, the ultra hit Blue Cassette, and my personal favorite True Love. There was too many highlights to keep count of because of the energy and dedication the band put forth. Whether people were dancing through Show Me Lights or singing through Love Sick there was something for everyone. The crowd refused to leave when they walked off the stage the first time because everyone could taste the furious encore that was only minutes away. After a brief pause the band returned to properly end the right by giving the crowd a divine recital of Hawaiian Air and Kiss of Life. This was the second time I was able to see Friendly Fires and I know that when they return I will be seeing them again. This was my first show at Terminal five and I heard it was a little small so I was worried. However, it was not over crowded at all and I felt like where ever I stood I saw perfectly. The bar was, to me, very expensive. Friendly fires was amazing! They have excellent stage presense and are fantastic performers. The opening act was fantastic too. I dragged my boyfriend to this concert and the minute we went him he downloaded all of theophilus londons songs. Usually I write a whole essay on my concert experience, but I'm feeling lazy and will just keep it concise: 'Freakin. Awesome. If I went to a Friendly Fires show every night for the next two months, I would shed 30 pounds and probably lose my voice. They are amazing and very highly energized throughout the show. I think Ed went through 6 bottles of water that night. There was a point where he went through the crowd. Sadly I wasn't in that center area, but if I had the chance, I would have swiftly combed my fingers through his hair like some other chick did. ::Swoons:: Even if you are familiar with only one or two of their songs still go. It is worth it. And prepare to move. Don't be that concert goer annoyed by the people dancing around you (like these chicks next to me). Either stand in the back of the venue or dance, darn it! If you feel self-conscious because you can't dance well, just look at Ed and you'll realize that it pays to not give a damn about what people think as long as you are having fun. I highly recommend you see them. I know I will if they come around to New York again although I see that I've missed them twice this year because I was in England (where they are from, oddly enough) during those months. So frustrating to learn that. But, can't hurt to stop by a forth time guys, right? Maybe next year? =) Okay, that wasn't concise, but I think I got my point across: I love these guys!

This was my third time seeing Fires since May, and it was a blast! No other band out there right now has this much energy and charisma. They'be always had a great live presence, but with this second album they truly kicked their art into high gear. Always a great show, always an engrossing experience. Theophilus London was also a revelation. I'm a fan, and now I have another artist to keep track of. Awesome that he was a fellow Brooklynite. P.S. Some members of the crowd need to understand that if you want to avoid friendly conversation, don't come to see a band called FRIENDLY Fires.

I knew going into it that this band has a great stage presence and can really hype up a crowd. Friendly Fires didn't disappoint. It was a great show. The venue was perfect with good views everywhere you stood.
