Monster Truck Show

this was my first time ever attending Traxxas Monster truck show, I really loved it and I bought tickets to carry my grandson for his birthday and he really loved it to.

I brought my 3 year old son and just to see the joy on his face made it enjoyable. The trucks may have not had a lot of room to work with but they made it very entertaining.

My 4year old was beside himself ... He loved every minute of it!! We will definitely go again:)

Show was basic. Trucks went very slow to do ant real tricks only truck to perform was Titan. Very slow running show if you want to enjoy a Monster truck show. Go to a Monster Jam. My little boy and I really have enjoyed those. Bigfoot was terrible!!

Show was good. I take my five year old son and daughter to two to four monster truck events per year, both monster jams and monster X events. However, this was a very small arena for this type of event. My recommendations include: focus more time on the monster trucks actually doing more events in a larger complex; too much down time and not enough of the trucks actually driving; Consider parking trucks some where other than in the arena to give more space for the events. Even my son commented that there was too much opening ceremonial stuff. Less fluff and more monster truck action! I hope these recommendations go to make the event better. Thanks.

They tried hard, but the crowd was small and the event was unorganized. We waited forever for the second act . My kids fell asleep during the half hour intermission. All of that for very little actual monster truckin.

I bought 4 tickets plus pit passes really glad i got passes to see vehicles and drivers up close before the event. It was great time for getting photos and autographs. Really enjoyed the motocross jumpers as well, was worried about being in a small venue that it might not be very entertaining but everyone did a great job. I really suggest hearing protection for everyone especially during the truck portion of the show. Some of the time the fumes could get a little strong but nothing that made us sick or caused any headaches. The 9 and 16 year old kids that went with us had a great time and after all isn't that what it is all about.

Monster X was just ok.... I thought the announcers did a very good job, and the show was well run...but I think the arena was too small for this. The floor space just wasn't big enough to allow the trucks to show their stuff the way they should. everything was done on a cement floor. Starting out the trucks went one by one and drove over a line of 3 cars...they spent more time manuvering into position and then backing back into their parking spot when done then it actually took to drive over the cars. Kind of a let down. Atv races were pretty lame. Freestyle motocross rider was good and I take my hat off to him for doing his stuff over bare concrete. My kids really liked the transformer type vehicle show. All in all it cost us about $100 for the 4 of us to attend. I'm not quite sure it was worth that much...but like I said, in a larger space I'm sure the show would have been more exciting allowing the trucks to actually get some speed and better jumps.

Surprised they got so much into that little building. Like the mix of bikes and trucks. Kids had a blast.

The show as great. My godson had a very good time and was thrilled watching the show..

There was too much time during the show for set up/break down and it seemed to drag on and on. I took my 5 yr old grandson and he got board during the wait times. The Crown Center seemed too small for the monster trucks to move around which limited their capabilities. Motorcycle stunts were great, wish the trucks were as active. Overall, it was an ok show. The announcer could have been better at explaining the events and making a bigger deal of the winner. It seemed he was shooting from the hip alot. My grandson enjoyed riding the Sgt Smash truck but $10 per person was a bit expensive for twice around the track. Overall, the show was ok but I think it would have been better in an outside arena with more room to manuever. There is very little leg space between the seating rows and, if you are tall you will be uncomfortable the entire show.

Save the $5 on the Pit Pass. It looked great until you got down to the floor, where they charge $10/person to ride three miniature laps inside of a truck specifically designed to make money off of gullible parents. There, the negative is out of the way... Everything else was great! Awesome bikers doing ramp jumps and showing off their talent--and they've got a lot! I would've paid at least 1/2 price just to see a show with that kind of action. The Monster Trucks were amazing. Crushing cars, grinding wheels in the dirt--wheel popping adventure, literally! It's a great show for kids who love trucks, and for those who might be the least bit interested in seeing the annihilation of some vehicles. Really enjoyed the show with my family--VIP is worth it... you might even get a bit of dirt in your face!

I was very disappointed in the show, the first 45 minutes all they did was talk and watch this clown run around, I am sure he was funny but his microphone made it so you could not understand him. I think it was a poor place for them to have the show, The Ocean Center is a great venue but too small for Monster Trucks. Would not go back to see again, once was good enough for me.

Once you have saw one show you have seen them all, not much is ever different.

This was our first monster truck event and we were completely fascinated. We thoroughly enjoyed all the events.

The show was short compared to Orlando and was not near as neat without the dirt. I will not return to Daytona for this event, they simply do not have the space it requires.

This was my 3 yr olds first Monster Truck show (mine too). For him it was perfect! It kept his attention, each segment was just long enough. I do wish it was outside bc of all the fumes they did keep is aired pretty well but it did get a little smokey and foggy at some points. My only regret was that it wasn't bigger but that is no fault to the tour, the Ocean Center is only so big, they did a great job with the amount of space they had. I was very happy that they did it during the day.

Having been to a monster truck show previously, I pretty much new what to expect. Unfortunately, this show did not meet my expectations. This was based on the small number of entries and the quality of the moster trucks. Big Foot naturally was a nice looking truck much like Toxic and Viper. Project X and War Wagon was mediocre looking monster trucks at best. I will say the motocross motorcycle riders were the best part of the show. That said, if this would have been 100% motocross, my rating would have been higher. For the show we seen verses the price we were charged, Fair is the best I can do for this review. For those individuals who desire to see monster trucks, you tube would be a better investment.

OUTSTANDING SHOW, GREAT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. MY 4 YEAR OLD LOVED IT. THE ONLY DRAW BACK, YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN EARPLUGS OR PAY AN ARM AND A LEG FOR THE ONES THEY SELL. PERSONALLY I THINK THEY SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE. BRING EXTRA MONEY FOR FOOD AND KIDS TOYS. ALL VERY OVER PRICED. THEY ALSO OFFER RIDES ON A MONSTER TRUCK DURING INTERMISSION SO BRING CASH FOR THAT IF YOU HAVE KIDS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOW. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. SHOW WAS ABOUT 3.0 HRS LONG.

Realize the Crown is a small venue but there was too much motor sport and not enough monster truck....

My first monster truck show, I was not impressed. I felt the arena was way too small for the trucks to drive around. I brought a 3 & 5 year old, it was slow going and they have a short attention span. The best part was the free style when the trucks drove for more than 10 seconds.

First the food at Crown Coliseum was not very good, need big improvement there, had pit passes and waited ten minutes in line for 2 kids to go on monster truck ride get to front and they asked for 20 dollars for a 30 second ride, had no choice did not want to disapoint the kids there should have been a sign, also way too small inside for this event, otherwise need ear plugs for kids but was fun overall

Fumes were SO strong, eyes burned & couldn't breathe. Pit party was not much more then getting in early. Show was a bit lame.

all three of my children ages 10, 8, and 4, absolutely loved it.... We will return when it comes back though!

this event was very bad did not even keep a 4 Year olds attention, would not spend my money again for this event, it was really sad!

Great fun! I had a date night with my husband and he loved it as did I!

I got tkts as a Christmas present for my boyfriend, and we could not have had a more fun time. The monster trucks put on an amazing show, as well as the motorcyclists. We loved it!

I was so excited to to my almost 4 & 2 year olds to this! There were 4-yes only 4 monster trucks! The course was on a dirt race track straight-away! (Very VERY little area!) They also had the "Tough Trucks"-which are little trucks that pay to go through same course. They were fun and cute for the first 5-8 trucks. After about 10 more trucks- I was over it! I didn't pay to watch little trucks-I paid to see Monster Trucks. Granted I expected some other form of entertainment also-but the majority of the show was the "Tough Trucks"! My kids became bored, as did my husband and myself. We stayed throught intermission hoping to see more Monster Trucks-but they started back up with the 20 something Tough Trucks race-again.(My 4 year-old was asking to leave) Which I can totally understand why they started back up them, but, 20 tough trucks lasted about a good 45 min VS 4 Monster Trucks lasting a good 20 min max=BUST!

I took my son and his two cousins and they really enjoyed t he show. Personally, I would have liked to see the trucks outdoors with more space to do their thing. But overall, it was a good show. The motorcross stunts were awesome too.

I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. It was fun for the kids and better than what I expected.

Took my children last year to this event and had to go again this year! My son just loved it and got to go to the pit this time to meet the drivers of the trucks and bikes. We got GREAT seats too! I would defenitely recommend this event to others. Thanks for a great show!

The event lasted about 2 hours. There was a total of 30 to 45 minutes of actual show, and much of that was mediocre at best.

Great show, bristol great, ticket master needs to do a better job on information such as start time listings and what can and should be brought i.e. coolers ear plugs great show for the money.

Show itself was great. I was however very disappointed that I paid the extra $ for 3 pit passes that apparently could only be used at noon. This I was not aware of. Everything I saw online said that we were to arrive for 1:30. I wasn't the only person that I talked to at the show that was dissapointed by this fact.

Took 3 of my Grandchildren to see the Monster trucks in Hershey. The looks on their faces spoke volumes. We all had so much fun!! And I'm pretty sure i'm a shoe in for Papa of the year after this weekend.

This was our 1st monster truck show and it was great. The kids and I all enjoyed the stunts. Make sure you bring ear protection as it gets extremely loud, but amazing! This is sure to become an annual tradition for our family.

My son and I had a great time! Be aware though, this may be too loud for little ones.

Like a lot of monster truck fans I am accustomed to the big stadium, 16 plus truck shows put on by a competing promoter. But I enjoyed this small arena show with the five trucks they had. It was my third MonsterX show at this arena and my favorite so far. Bigfoot 18 with Larry Swim and Heavy Hitter with Derek Anston were the stars. One truck, Ghost Rider with Larry Quick, rolled on his first hit and did not come back. Heavy Hitter rolled during freestyle. Racing was not interesting other than the final race between Bigfoot and Heavy Hitter. You cannot get much closer to the action than these small arena's. Worth the price if you are a die hard monster truck fan.

The kids got a little restless in between setting up for trucks/motorcross/races but they loved it! They are still talking about it and want go back. We brought head phones for both of them but they only wore them about 1/2 the time. The doors to the event center were open so the fumes weren't bad either. We'll def. be going back next year.

We bought our grandson for his first experience with monster trucks. He is 3 and was so excited and enjoyed it very much. There were some lapse time between the different things they were doing which was hard to keep his attention, but other than that it was a great show... good job - hope to have more family fun stuff like that coming to Lake Charles!

If you go don't go the first night go the second night the first night they take it easy so they don't tear up any parts on the trucks.. The free style needs to be longer also

The show was 3 hours, only 1 hour of Monster Truck fun, What the trucks did was great but, Fake Wrestling 1 hour and then 1 hour of fill time of setting up taking down intermission time to ride a Monster Truck. Very Disappointing

The motorcycle jump at the beginning of the show was a little slow and anti-climatic. Watching the Monster Trucks was great. The wrestling matches wer an epic fail. I would rather see more of the trucks than the wrestling.

We always love going to the Monster trucks! I think this year they had too much other than Monster trucks going on. I go to watch the monster trucks not all the other. I thought the wrestling was ridiculous. I probably wouldn't go again if there was wrestling involved. Sorry. The Monster truck portion and even the tough trucks are fun to see.

I've been to a lot of Monster Truck shows back in the South and have always enjoyed them. But this one in Colorado at the Fairgrounds in Pueblo was really boring. Long delays between events made it seem like a lot of wasted time, thus wasted money. the sound system was not efficient so we could not hear the speaker much. He was loud, perhaps too loud. So it seems we just heard a lot of rumbling and then quiet with him talking but not knowing what was being said. Very disappointing. I don't recommend this event at this venue, although overall Monster Truck shows are good at other venues. (Oh but not the ones at indoor arena though.)

it was nice and clean and fun. my son had a lot of fun and i would take him again

The drivers were very nice to fans and very thankful. Show was amazing and would have liked to ride in the monster truck but not enough time during intermission.

This was the sorriest low-budget farce I ever wasted money on. The first two of the four trucks racing broke and had to be towed off. The worst of the two lost a front wheel and never finished the lap, but was voted by the crowd to be the best. My family joined many others who left at the intermission. Never again.

Very lame, took my grandson, it was his first time seeing this kind of a show and his reaction was " is that all the trucks that are here". He is 6, and he understood what was going on. All the trucks were either broke down or was afraid to run. Not at all worth the money that was paid. And the the truck that you rode in the back and took two laps around the track was not worth the money paid. I will not attend again. Very obvious that it was set up for Bigfoot to win, and the announcer kept saying that Bigfoot was co-owned by Robby Gordon, that says it all, thats the only why Robbie can win, if the win was set up.

Was not worth my time. The show should have lasted about 40 minutes but was dragged out for hours. All but 1 truck broke down, and that driver was afraid to dive his Ford truck, " Dont Ford trucks last forever" I was at the Monster Truck Show in Indy and the show at Cincinnati Gardens doesn't even come close.

The show was fun and entertaining! It was my first show so I had no idea what to expect except for watching some video's on youtube. They don't really do any car crushing or anything of that sort, just a lot of jumping and wheelies. Cool obstacle and the races between the trucks were really fun as well. I'd recommend going, it was overall a great show. Something fun to do with friends.

Only four trucks. Should be more for an event like a state fair

The show was entertaining, but for the cost of the tickets there should have been some big name monster trucks like the advertisement led you to believe.

IT WAS REALLY GREAT TO SEE THE LEGEND BACK. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THAT THE ARENA WAS NOT QUITE BIG ENOUGH FOR THE TRUCKS. EVERY TIME THE ANNOUNCER WOULD ASK WHY WERE WE THERE-THE AUDIENCE WOULD CHANT BIGFOOT. MY THREE-YEAR-OLD GRANDSON WOULD SHOUT BIGFOOT. I TOOK 5 ADULTS AND A CHILD AND I THINK THEY EACH HAD A GREAT TIME.

There were only 4 monster trucks and there wasn't enough room for them to run. Show would have been a lot better if it had been in an arena instead of a small section of the race track. The other trucks that ran were like what you would expect to see at the county fair except the county fair show is free with general admission. Would not have paid $20 if I had known this.

BIG WASTE OF MONEY!!! There was only 4 monster trucks and it was apparent it was all setup to let Bigfoot win. All they did were a few drag races and the rest of the time it was tough truck, which most of them where only 2x4! The 15 min intermission turned into almost an hour intermission! I will not be wasting our money on this event again!!!
