This was an amazing show with incredibly talented musicians! The singer is spot on and so entertaining. Even if you're not a huge U2 fan, the talent this band has is worth seeing.

OC TRIBUTE ROCK WITH THE JOSHUA TREE There have been a few prized moments over the years among U2 tribute bands where four guys put on a show so inspiring that you not only pondered if the band could get any better, but if U2 themselves could DO any better. This summarizes Saturday evening at the OC Fair Hangar event featuring U2 tribute band The Joshua Tree. A masterful performance before a capacity crowd, along with standing room only in the rear. Performing the entire Joshua Tree album, singer Xiren seem to envelop Bono s signature essence of one to one intimacy with the audience, sharing the devastation of the recent tragedy in Colorado in a way that invited every listener to connect to one another, creating community within this audience. Bruce Springsteen comes to mind: equally captivating. However, U2 s music is much fuller than Springsteen s\u2026especially in the Joshua Tree album. I immediately flashed back to November 17, 1987 as I viewed my very first concert at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Thank you Joshua Tree for taking me back to that night filled with spirituality and social conscience. At the tender age of 15, I was deeply moved, and again at age 39 on Saturday night at the OC Fair. The reenactment of The Joshua Tree album reminded me of just how radical a force U2 had represented in music. This album is not filled up with crap. It doesn t include anything reckless. Themes of government, honor, breaking boundaries were illustrated clearly by this band. The entire crowd seemed to seem along on several songs with such passion that the entire Hangar became a chorus. From the first song, I immediately came to the realization that this band reached their goal of inspiring their audience, and the audience began to feel good about each other and as the band gained confidence as the songs kept coming, the audience s participation grew until they were united! Xiren, dressing in full Bono clad, bolted Where the Streets Have No Name with such determination and energy that every U2 fan under the roof connected in some personal way to the lyrics: I want to run/I want to hide/I want to tear down the walls/That hold me inside. As is the case with many U2 songs among fans. Along with Chas, Xiren connected yet again with the wide audience by escaping the confines of the stage and entered the welcoming crowd, achieving the intimacy of the classic U2 shows of old. Chas on guitar, Howard on bass, and Mike on drums, equally played with the intensity and drive of the real U2. Thank you, Joshua Tree, for brilliantly showcasing U2 s classic album. As united U2 fans, including the four members on the stage, there was a sense of magic on Saturday night that will stand among one of the greatest shows ever for The Joshua Tree band.

I don't generally go for tribute bands, but Joshua Tree did a wonderful job of capturing the energy of a U2 stadium rock show. From the backing video to the lighting, from the vocals to the guitar solos, everything that needed to be there was. I've had one experience at a actual U2 show (360 in Seattle) that wasn't as good - admittedly because we were seated above the top row of the speakers and so most of the audio we got was bounced off the back of the stadium and delayed 2 seconds. Nonetheless, I'd have to rate this concert as the best under $25 event I've ever attended.

The Joshua Tree is an amazing U2 cover band. They not only look like U2 but more importantly they sound just like them. I was very impressed with the entire performance of The Unforgettable Fire. The energy of the band and the musicians (Bono and the Edge) going into the audience and playing really got the audience cheering. The next set was a mix of various U2 classics including: Where the streets have no name, Vertigo, The sweetest thing, One, With or without you, and many more. Overall absolutely Outstanding!!!!!

Not on a par with Hollywood U2 or LA Vation. Good setlist with some deep cuts, but so so overall. Won't go back.

The Joshua Tree Band is made up of a lead singer, guitar, bass & drummer. They do a remarkably good cover of U2, staying faithful to U2's energy, style, lyrics, and presence. The guitarist has Slash's style down, as do the drummer and bass. The load vocals (aka Bono) are spot on, and very well done. If you're looking for a good U2 cover, these guys belong on your list.

The Joshua Tree rock U2 like nobody's business. Their musicianship is spectacular and the lead singer channels Bono so we believe he's actually there in front of us. I see the real U2 every time they're in town, and I go see The Joshua Tree whenever I find out they are playing locally. If you are a U2 fan there is no way you will be disappointed by seeing The Joshua Tree.

Every year, my friend and I attend a concert or 2 at the OC Fair. We alternate choosing the acts, and this year she chose The Joshua Tree. What a good selection. I was a freshman in high school when I began listening to U2, and although I loved all the British new wave bands, you can't deny that U2 is a band that can stand the test of time. I forgot how great "The Unforgettable Fire" album really is, until Friday night. The Joshua Tree did an amazing job covering the album, plus a few more extra songs for the night. They made me want to shop for some U2 music. :-) The guys in the band are very talented, humble, and gracious to the fans for coming. They even remembered fans who have been following them for the last 10 years.

The music was very good my only main complaint was the gentleman at the soundboard controlling what sounds came to you he did not in my opinion have good control of the sound sometimes different guitarists were overpowered over louder than drummers and lead singers I think it was the switchboard controllers issues as Fars the lead singer and the rest of the band my hat one off to them they were good

I am totally bombed that I could not see this event do to me having the flu that week end. I did see Jashua Tree at last year's New Years Eve party hosted at The O C Fair Grounds and became a fan of theirs right away. I did buy my two tickets through Ticket Master and had really cool seats but I just could not get out if bed. ) 8.. Maybe another time I will be more fortunate.

Best tribute band ever!!! The OC Fair finally got it right this year with this band. Wonderful graphics & big screens, great sound, awesome performers...the lead singer is definately a first rate professional who can put on a good show. BRAVO! I wanted more! True to promise they met us after the performance at the front of the stage. So glad OC Fair personnel did not let people crowd the stage as we paid good money for our up close seats and, were comfortable the whole time.

The event was awesome! We went to the fair, enjoyed the experience and then got to top it off with a great U2 cover band. Music, friends, food, and experience were all excellent.

Just this simple, these guys are awesome!!! If you haven't seen them before, don't miss the next show. if you love U2, you'll love these guys. Chas, Mike, Bob and Xiren have talent that exceeds many others in this same genre of tribute bands. All successful artists independent of the band, they are really something to see all together as one. Trust me, you will thank me! Enjoy!

Saw these guys for first time in the OC Fair Hanger. What a great show. These guys nailed the U2 sound, and they did it in a very intimate manner, which you'll never see in a U2 stadium tour. Great showmanship, excellent technical skills, really terrific performance. The only drawback was the sound, it was a bit too "bright" and the lead guitar was too muted for my tastes. I took my 12 year old budding guitarist and he was inspired.
