Hockey

I was only familiar with Saint Motel & that's who I intended to see, but Swimm & Hockey were really good too. Bought each of the bands EPs. I really recommend all three of these bands. Their music is so good, expect to hear them soon on the radio O know they're going to go far with their talent.

I was SO sad that they came on at 9:45! Was very surprised they were not headlining...that's who I thought i was really coming to see. Ended up missing the first half of the set, but what I heard was definitely great! Guess I didn't realize these guys are still pretty small time I guess...crowd was enthusiastic but again was kind of surprised there weren't more people on a Friday night...but these guys are def. up and coming and have a great live presence and music you wanna move to!

Great performance and set list! Saint Motel never disappoints. Looking forward to their next show at the El Rey.

This band only adds to the fact that I love my city. And they were perfect live, no polished recording, they sound even better live.

I'm biased, but hockey consistantly puts on an entertaining and quailty show. They sound amazing live. Just go see them, do it.

AWESOME. Had so much fun. Never have I gotten so sweaty watching a show before... bounced up and down the whole time. AWESOME SHOW! Going to see them again in Spokane and at Lollapalooza!

Hockey is a bundle of contagious energy that sounds as great live as on record. Man, can Ben sing! If they keep doing $10 shows, I'll see them every time they play Portland. My only regret is that they never play stuff that isn't on their album. I really want to hear "Reading to an Elephant" next time.

Hockey rocked the house...love those guys. Some sound problems with the opening acts, but all was good for the main act.

The entire show was absolutely amazing! The two opening band, The Postelles and The Constellations were fantastic and definitely set the stage for Hockey. Hockey completely rocked it out and were amazing. It was a great night and I would love to see any of the three bands again!

Hockey was great, better than I thought they would be, but the Constellations should have been the headliner. Amazing group, solid, pro, everything you could want!

Hockey was really great live, I hate it when that is not the case. I hadn't heard a lot of their songs yet, but figured I would based on their radio releases...they didn't disappoint. Time to get the CD!

Every single band who performed was excellent, but my favorite part of the evening was getting to see and hear The Constellations for the first time. They will quickly become my new favorite band! Hockey put on an outstanding performance and had the entire place dancing during their hour long set. Such a great show! Thanks to The Postelles, The Constellations and Hockey for putting on a fantastic show!

These guys were very talented. I listened to their songs on the internet and the performance live was even better.The sound quality was fantastic.

The studio album is solid all the way through so they definitely had some expectations to live up to and they were SPOT ON!!! Great energy, tight playing and captivating stage presence make this one of the up and coming bands to keep on your radar. Eclectic and very danceable....these guys are on their way to much bigger things.

Hockey was awesome - they absolutely killed it and had the place rocking. The constellations were also good, jammed really hard, brought great energy..I just wish the lead singer should leave the rapping stuff to Eminem. The Postelles were just 'eh' and seem to sound like a lot of other bands out there.

Pretty awesome! They look like they're 18, but they sounded great, and pulled off a good show. Much better than the 2 bands that opened up for them.

Hockey was amazing! They were so dynamic and had such personality! The music was great and it was a truly unforgettable show! Of all the bands I saw during December to Remember, Hockey gave the best performance overall. I'm so glad that I got the opportunity to see them play live at a smaller venue because these guys are going to be HUGE and playing the BIG venues too soon. The fact that they are a Portland, OR band made it even more of a treat!

Great live show in a fantastic venue. Hockey has a unique sound that you can't help but feel energized while listening to it. A must see band if you have a chance to see them live. If not, I recommend their album either on iTunes or when its released later this year. You won't regret it.
