First, I love the old theater, but they could spruce up a few things. I like old looking, but not deteriorated. For one example, the carpet is worn through on the steps. The band Machine played a pretty good set. They mixed it up with old and new songs. Instruments and vocals were good. The problem I had was with the mix of the sounds. Most of the time (from where we were sitting) the vocals were very low - while drum was overpowering. One note, in pictures, they show what looks like a laser show. I'm pretty sure it was just a light show with no lasers. If mixed right, I would have rated the experience a 4.

This was 6 years straight that the wife and I have gone to this show on Black Friday. This is one of my birthday gifts every year. Farewell to the lead singer/guitar player Joe as he is off to new ventures after 25 years. It will be hard to replace him. As an avid Floyd fan, you can not find another "tribute" band who compares to The Machine. Rock on!

This was my first concert and I could not have had any more fun than I did here. The music was awesome and everything that I remember about my youth. The Machine did a great rendition of Pink Floyd. Their knowledge of the music spans from the beginning of Pink Floyd through The Dark Side Of The Moon, Animals, Wall to their latest releases. A very thorough show. I would recommend every one to listen to The Machine as often as possible because they really know how to rock the house. I will be looking for their next concert. Rock on.

When I think of pink floyd I think of perfection. I've seen other PF tribute bands and have never been disappointed until this show at the House of Blues. The sound & mixing was terrible. They had constant mic feedback problems through the show as well. This unfortunately overshadowed their obvious talent. It would have been nice to have a little bit of a light show as well. Great choice of songs though..

the machine was fantastic. pink floyd was there that night. the orchestra blend was excellent. richmond symphony rocks. the band was really into the music. the sound was superb. during retakes for pbs, the machine played the same song over and over and it just kept getting better and better. i could have stayed all night long as long as they continued to play.

My husband has been a BIG fan of Pink Floyd for as long as I can remember I surprised him for his Birthday with tickets to see The Machine - Pink Floyd Darkside of the Moon, the concert was awesome I have never enjoyed the sound of Pink Floyd so much. The Machine is a natural the sound is amazing if I closed my eyes I wouldn't have been able to tell them apart from the real thing. All said and done the show was a smash hit with my husband it made his Birthday very special. Thanks Joe and the band for a great night of entertainment.

Not only was this a great show but a truly unique opportunity to see the Richmond Symphony perform beautifully. Since the show was being filmed, some things had to be re-played, but it was not annoying, it was actually cool. Lots of great enthusiasm, the band members are very personable and the symphony was fabulous. It's almost impossible to get a bad seat at The National, so there were no issues with being able to see the stage. In the 70s we would have been very ticked off about the National staff "policing" the place, but it was very nice that the aisles were kept cleared so that our view was always clear. Plus, some folks sat in our seats and the staff person quickly helped us locate our seats and remove the interlopers! All in all, it's a nice place to see a show and this one in particular was a unique and really satisfying concert experience! Brought back lots of memories - there were kids there wearing Pink Floyd t-shirts who weren't even born when "Dark Side of the Moon" came out, but that was pretty cool - good mixture of young people and boomers enjoying the show! :)

The Machine was videotaped for PBS with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and it was great! The concert began at 8:15 and ended around 11:45. They played Dark Side of the Moon start to finish and some of The Wall and some early stuff- all great.

I love mixed audiences. Kids through geezers both seemed to enjoy the performance. The mix of orchestra and rock worked well, creating a very interesting overall effect. Of course, it helped that the music was great to begin with. The Machine was fine both with the classic types and without, but more interesting with. By the way, for those of us in the nosebleed seats, the light show was partially blocked.

Well, i guess if there's a bad apple in this event it would be me. Everyone appeared to have a great time. But, as for me, if i had known that with the television production would have necessitated the replay''s as well as the number of lengthly pauses between song's i would not have spent the money as well as everything else it cost me to travel the 85mi. to get there. I also took off a day of work. Don't get me wrong, i pay for what i get. I don't expect anything for free. But, if this was going to be a "PBS" special then i, for the best of me did not understand why it was not a free concert. Generally speaking, those televised specials usually are. The people should be paid for "who they are". With everything, i just could not get "into" the music. The first three quarter's was just a "bummer" for me. The last quarter was great! I feel ripped off. Speaking of money...How much additional money's are those involved going to receive as a result of the filming...Isn't PBS sold nationally. Seem's like everyone won except for the audience.

Although Ive seen The Machine before and thoroughly enjoyed it, this event put it over the top. The orchestra brought a rich, full feeling to the set that really made you feel like you were at a Floyd show. I have seen lots of concerts from many artists and this show may have been the best Ive ever seen. I will even put it up there against Bruce and Elton. Fantastic show, amazing sound, goose bumps on top of goose bumps. We had church.

I've seen the machine 3 times without the symphony and they were as close to Pink Floyd as one can get. The lead singer and musicians are VERY talented, each single one of them. The Machine band was remarkable. Their music is indistinguishable from the original band, Pink Floyd. Their ability to re-produce the music in a live mode was equally amazing. I reached a point where I was just sitting there watching intently just how they were making music. The performance with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra added depth to the music numbers and all arrangements were enhancements to the band. Following the symphony, the band's solo performance was like watching a different concert. I was totally iimpressed by the entire performance.

Calling THE MACHINE a cover or tribute band is hardly fitting. I have seen these four guys on several occasions and they never fail to WOW the audience. The keyboardist, Scott, has multiple keyboards and couldn't play with any more energy if he had an extra arm and leg to work with. Joe has mastered the lead guitar, the steel guitar and the voice box. Joe's voice can also resemble either David Guilmore or Roger Waters depending on the song played. Ryan, the bassist, also plays a twelve string guitar and sings harmony. Ryan's bass playing is exceptional in that he at times plays the lead (bass chords). And then there is Todd, the drummer. Todd's ability to change the tempo or pace of the song brings it all together. On one occasion(another concert) the guys SWITCHED instruments DURING a song ,to our amazement. Never missing a beat, Joe to the bass, Todd to the keyboards, Scott to the drums, and Ryan to the lead guitar. Never have I seen a band play with such enjoyment and love for the music, and desire to please the audience. To top this off, there is a laser light show to fully enthrall all of the senses.

It was easy to see they were feeding off the energy of the crowd and that only made the show even better. I would recommend to anyone to catch their show. But that would mean an even bigger crowd!

My fiance and I had a good time seeing as how he's a huge Floyd fan, but we were not impressed with The Machine's interpretation of the last few songs. The lead singer was excellent as far as sound, but his appearance could be improved for being in a rock setting. I don't mean younger or thinner, but not as messy looking. Lights were good. Musicianship was good.

A band "the Machine" playing Pink Floyd music plus with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, I just got one word to say, AWASOME!!!, My wife and I enjoyed every song they played, i closed my eyes and let the music take over my mind, body and soul. I also want to say that the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is an excellent Orchestra, I saw them perform a tribute to the Beatles last year and I said to myself, I wonder what other music can this fine talented gorup can play, then I saw them play Pink Floyd and now found a new wave of concerts that I would enjoy attanding for years to come. I am so looking forward to see the ASO at Chastain playing music to Queen, another of may favorite groups. Please keep this series coming and you will see me there, I hope to bring the whole family. Thank you and Keep Rocking!!!

I'm a big, big Pink Floyd fan. Watching the Machine was an unforgettable experience for me. It was amazing how closely they sounded to Pink Floyd. You could shut yours and truly believe you were actually listening to Pink Floyd. The sound system was good and it wasnt played overly loud, like some usually are. The light show was fantasic too. Great special effects. The big screens on either side of the sage was a big plus if your seat wasn't in the best of locations. It was a great value for the money spent. I would recommend any Pink Floyd fan to see them if they get the chance. I truly enjoyed the entire concert, the only complaint I have is that it was to short, but I can never get enough of Pink Floyd's music!

I started following this band back when Sarah was on Keyboards (20 years ago). Wetlands, NYC was always their best shows. When they played back then, they were a very talented and simple band that played some really great covers of Floyd and occasionally working some Dead tunes into the Floyd stuff. I don't even like the Dead but listening to them working the Dead tunes into the Floyd stuff then transforming back into the Floyd stuff was great. The simplicity of this band playing on a small stage is what made this band perfect. Watching them perform back then was like listing to an old 1970's bootleg of an actual Floyd concert and that's what made them perfect. Somewhere along the line, they purchased a few lasers and some equipment to play background tracks from actual Floyd albums and it really just got way too techy for me. Instead of sounding like an amazing Floyd cover band, they sounded like a wanna be Pink Floyd. I think anyone who's followed them for as long as Me, knows exactly what I'm talking about. I think the band lost its focus years ago. I've seen them over a hundred times. When they brought in that first laser (I believe it was Club Bene, NJ) it was pretty cool but slowly went down hill... I used to watch them play in small bars packed shoulder to shoulder in Staten Island to a large unpacked theater in Whiteplains, NY and of course the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. It seems to me that there are no more original members of the band, Not even Joe the guitarist / lead singer is left! It's almost like some company came in and purchased the name and is now taking the show on the road. The last time I saw them was at the Starland Ballroom about a year ago and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with all of the actual Floyd tracks being played behind the music. I could have sat home to listen to that. With that said, they're worth seeing but if you've ever seen the old band play, you're going to be pretty disappointed. If you've ever seen Pink Floyd play, you're going to have to lower your expectations quite a bit. I wish they'd put the old cover band back together because they were pretty amazing.

This was my first time seeing "The Machine". I was very happy and I thoroughly enjoyed their performance. When I closed my eyes, it felt like I was listening to the original Pink Floyd. My favorite thing about this band is the way they put their own spin on the songs. The new music they add is and works in perfect harmony of the nature of the song. I was happy to hear this. The past 4 years I have gone to see The Machine in Harrisburg on Thanksgiving Eve and I think I am now spoiled. The Kezwick show was good, but my seats were in the very back and it was extremely noisy around me -- people were talking the entire show. And I was right by the concession stand/bar so that was very noisy as well. Also, the seats are very close together at the Kezwick and I was uncomforably close to my neighbors.

The Machine was not all it was said to be by their fans. Sometimes the band was spot on and others it was way off in left field. When you go to see a tribute band you expect them to represent the music of the band with accuracy and the same passion as the original artists... this was not the case with the Machine. I took my sister to the show and she is a diehard Floyd fan and she was disappointed and even lost at some points. We expected a tribute, what we got was a cover band in a bar that took liberties with the music when they just should have stuck to what people were there for: To hear Pink Floyd... not jazz-blues improvisation in the middle of songs that should remain faithful to the original. What also gave the atmosphere of a bar band was that they inexplicably took a break in the middle of the show which I felt was unprofessional and needless. They played Echoes and from the very start of the song which is unique in its style and atmosphere The Machine managed to botch it into a difficult to follow introduction that made me wonder why the band even thought that changing a Floyd staple was a terrific idea. To add insult to injury they didn't even complete Echoes, they stopped in the middle of things and started Learning to Fly. I was confused how you start an epic tune like that and not finish it. The musicianship was good from a strictly musical standpoint, however they lacked the love for the music they were playing. I would not see them again and suggest that people check out The Pink Floyd Experience to get the true representation of what Pink Floyd is all about because The Machine is not that band.

I just saw these guys at State Theatre in Falls Church and they were incredible! They played all the 'hits' (Comfortably Numb, Hey You, Time, Wish You Were Here, etc.) and played some songs that I love extremely well like Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Set The Controls For The Heart of The Sun, Free Four, Sheep. They had two sets, and took a somewhat lengthy intermission in between shows which tested my patience a little, lol, but as soon as they came back and started playing Shine On You Crazy Diamond I completely forgot about the intermission. In total, they were on for about two and a half hours and you can tell they were enjoying the hell out of it. Great show, one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I've seen some great shows.

Went to Showcase Live in Foxboro MA last night, 12/28/2011, to see The Machine, A Pink Floyd tribute band. First off, what a nice Venue, great stage, reasonably priced food and cocktails, plenty of free parking, attentive waitstaff. This was my first time at this venue and I was definitely impressed. I have seen The Machine play at least a dozen times over the years all across New England. Every time I've seen them I've been blown away with their talent, their professionalism, and their attention to detail. They always left me wanting more, and I would tell everybody how awesome they were. Last night was a complete train wreck from the first note. I haven't seen them in several years, and the first thing I noticed was that the only member I recognized was the bass player. I have never seen the other 3 members of the band until last night. They were all extremely talented, BUT, they were NOT Pinkk Floyd. That band used to make the hair on the back of my neck stand up every time I saw them. I guess those days are over. One of the highlights of their shows used to be "wish you were here", with the most insanely accurate guitar playing to go along with it. From the 12 string intro to the mind blowing electric solo in the middle, it was ridiculious!!! Last night, the "mind blowing" guitar solo in the middle of the song consisted of some horrific noises coming out of what sounded like a childs toy keyboard. What a disgrace to what this band once was. With all the new members in this band, and their own versions of Pink Floyd's amazing music, I really think they should have changed the name of the band as well. Had I known any of this going in, I never would have gone to see them. Once again, very talented musicians, I can't take that away from them, but not even close to the epic performances that I have seen in the past.

On occasion during the performance, if I closed my eyes, the sound made me think I was at a live Floyd concert. Some things didn't work well for the venue, but for the most part, the band does a very respectable job of channeling the original soul of Pink Floyd. I would gladly attend again, or pay more to attend in a better venue.

The band had a great stage presence and the music was fine! Plus, they had a local girl as a backup singer. Great show, great venue! Loved my 2nd row seats!!!

The Machine is the ultimate tribute band to Pink Floyd. Fans of Pink Floyd yearning for another Pink Floyd tour and that are tired of waiting should definitely check out The Machine. The bad sounds eeirly like a clone of Pink Floyd. This was a birthday present for my brother who is a huge Pink Floyd fan. As like I, my brother enjoyed the show immensely. I recommend this for fans of Pink Floyd and Floyd music. This is definetly a do not miss for any Floyd fan!

My husband and I went for our 24th wedding anniversary was a great concert! Truly filled with people who love Pink Floyd, don't think anyone was disappointed. Light show was awesome. The only part we didn't like was the Sherman Theater the seats were so small and close, it made for a very uncomfortable night But "THE MACHINE," well the are great.

Let's face it, Pink Floyd is gone and will never be playing together again. Roger Waters has his solo tours, and everything David Gilmour tried to do after the band's break up was a pretty big fail in my opinion. Even if you manage to find a venue of theirs you will be paying a lot of money for not even the real thing. Enter The Machine They are just as big of fans of Pink Floyd as you are and they won't let you down. Their tickets are affordable to any Pink Floyd fan; they play at your local venue rather than some large expensive arena. Their diverse choice of tracks from all of the popular CD's is very satisfying. Their timing is perfect; their sound is closer to the real Pink Floyd than any other cover band will achieve. Depending on which member is singing, they can even sound close enough vocally. Long story short, you can nit pick short comings, but they are a cover band, and they do it damn well. So if they are playing near you, grab your friends and/or a date and enjoy the show!

I seen these guys about 5 years ago at the National. First, I love the venue...The National rocks. Second....what happened to The Machine. 5 years ago you guys rocked with popular tunes. You can play the songs greatly, I've seen you do it. But the old Pink Floyd stuff is ok music but not great. Unless The Machine states that they are playing the popular tunes, I doubt I will go back.

The Machine's performance was amazing and quite enjoyable, however I bought two balcony tickets for $60 and the seating was horrible. There's no space for average-sized legs, I had to spread mine on the seats in front of me. Don't buy the balcony tickets, not worth it. But do I recommend The Machine to all Pink Floyd fans!

I saw them last year at the Hinckley Event Center. They were good, then. But this year was a bit different. They added a sax player and a singer. And it made the whole concert, for sure! what a voice that lady has!! Just unbelievable! I actually thought I was listening to Pink Floyd. Would I go see them again!?? Hell yeah! And every year after!

I saw The Machine at The Forum on April 8th 2011. I was disappointed by not only the sound quality, but also by the "laser light show" which was underwhelming at best. If it is true that The Machine is among the best tribute bands in the realm, then I am cured of ever attending another.

Saw "The Pink Floyd Experience" here a coupe of years back and was very impressed. Expected more of the same from "The Machine" but was very disappointed. The orchestra were excellent but it was like someone putting on an orchestral version of Pink Floyd on their stereo system and then having their best friend playing drums to it whilst they sang along out of tune. The lighting was very simplistic, and the back stage projection was at best irrelevant and at worst distracting. Sound mix was awful, could only hear drums and vocals except for keyboard solo which then sounded distorted.

I have seen cover bands in the past, and they have always been, OK. They seem to do the job, fair to listen to, but just not quite the real thing. Not so with The Machine. Their act is, for a lack of better words, simply amazing. If you are a Floyd fan they will not let you down. I say this concert is a must see for all classic rock fans. The Binghamton Philharmonic added that mystically bold sound that you have come to expect from Pink Floyd. Worth every penny you pay.

This was the 2nd time i've seen The machine at the Warner Theatre. Both times i sat front row, so i enjoyed a close up experience. The first time i saw them was a few years ago and they blew me away. This time however, they had the Erie Philharmonic backing them. Both the Machine & The Phil played flawlessly, but it seemed as tho the Machine had the volume turned way down the time. Perhaps it was to not drown out the Phil. I also noticed thast when it came time for the encore without the Phil, The Machine had their volume cranked again... It sounded great

NOTHING prepared me for this......we checked The Machine out online and were so impressed with their reviews and we thought we were well-prepared for this performance. But they totally blew us, and everyone in the place, away! Where on Earth did you ever find these talented musicians?? Also, how were you so lucky to find such an awesome, talented drummer "TAHRAH!!" How in the world she can keep up with Floyd music without missing a beat - all on her own - is UNBELIEVABLE! No one should miss this ... you will walk away with so much respect for them and the Erie Philharmonic.... just to watch the members of the Philharmonic and how they all nailed it.....I loved watching the Conductor as well. He really gets into it....please come back again. We are already planning on traveling to catch another one of your shows....it's great how you make each one different. GREAT PERFORMANCE BY ALL! And, a great, friendly crowd! Thank you!!

It was VERY nice to see the Erie Phil doing "Rock" music and I can't think of a better band for them to do their first show of this type than THE MACHINE . They did a nice variety of Pink Floyd tunes (although, with the orchestra available, I would have liked to hear " Atom Heart Mother" too) , but for fans of the first 8 albums, they did "Set The Controls...". They sounded JUST like Pink Floyd, but they also jammed exactly in the style that Pink Floyd would have jammed. I'd go again (and again even). I will say it was a bit hard to see the band and alot of their massive light show was missing. VERY WELL DONE ! THANKS !!

Loved this concert. Bought tickets (front row) for hubby's birthday. What a great gift. I highly recomend this concert. The Erie Philharmonic backed the band (awesome) ...there were spacy film clips and lighting. The only thing I would expand on was more of the spacy lighting..you will not be disappointed by this concert if you like any of Pink Floyd's music cuz you will walk away loving it! The drums, the bass, the keyboards, the sax, the guitar, the singing...all meshed into one trippy tapestry of music that covers the soul in peace and harmony....it's all good :)

Great show and venue. The philharmonic was a worry for me, but they added to the show. Having a sax player was a plus, and the female singer for Great Gig in the Sky was AMAZING. She nailed it. The Machine also nailed it. If the original four Floyd members were on stage, it musically would be close. The vocals are close, Joe does a good Waters. No disrespect t the rest of the band, but to me, Floyd's music is Gilmour and Wright.. They have the unique sound, and The Machine is dead on. I highly recommend them. If you see them, feel as if you are seeing Floyd in the beginning, when they played clubs.

I would definitely recommend seeing any show performed by the Machine but having them pair up with the Binghamton Philharmonic was definitely a first for me and I enjoyed it. I was second row from the front, in the middle section and I could see all the facial expressions of the pianist and the lead singer. Unfortunately, I believe that this hampered my ability to really hear the orchestra along with the Machine but I did hear them and it was neat to watch them play. Next time I would definitely sit farther back from the front to get more of a sound experience...if it ever comes around again...which I hope it does!
