Faith No More

FAITH NO MORE IN CONCERT:Following a ten-year hiatus, hard-hitting funk rockers Faith No More returned in 2015 with a new album and the same captivating and dynamic live performances that made them a household name. Pitched halfway between alternative metal and straight-up funk, the band always gets heads banging and booties shaking at their live shows. Lead singer Mike Patton has all the crooning chops of a classic balladeer, but he sings with a punk rock edge that makes his angst-ridden vocals undeniably infectious. While he runs and jumps around the stage, the rest of the band gets down to the groove on hits like “Epic” and “We Care a Lot”.

Even though they are one of my top three all time favorites, I haven't been to a Faith No More show since '92. But, WOW! Completely blown away! They were perfect. Mike Patton is, without a doubt, one of the front men in the history of front men. Wish I had a chance to catch them a few more times on the tour.

I've been listening to Faith No More since 1990, but this was my first time seeing them in concert and they did NOT disappoint. They were great live and had tons of energy even for older songs. The set list was a perfect sampler from all their albums, and included many of my favorite songs, such as The Real Thing, Epic, Midlife Crisis, Caffeine, Easy, I Started as Joke, Everything's Ruined, and The Gentle Art of Making Enemies. They also rocked my two favorite tracks from the new album Motherf***er and Superhero. They didn't talk much, they mostly just did their songs, but what banter they had was light and amusing. May be the best time I ever had at a concert. AND I got a poster signed by the entire band, exclusive to this event! There's no chance for me to see them again this tour, but if I can I'll see them on their next one!

From the time lights went out until the very end, Faith No More proved to everyone that they are still a force to be reckoned with. Mike Patton's vocals are as strong as ever and the band, as a whole, looked reinvigorated to be on stage together again. This was easily one of the best shows I have ever had the privilege to witness. And the sound was incredible. Whoever ran the sound board was on their A-game for this one. A perfect blend of everyone with no one person or instrument overpowering the others. A delight for the ears!

Of the dozens of concerts that I have been to, little have made such a mark upon me as Faith No More has. From sarcastic to heartfelt, it seems the concert was an all inclusive package. I went to the first of three shows at the Warfield, and drove up from Hollywood to mark the occasion. The energy from all of the fans prior to them taking the stage was unlike any that I've ever witnessed. There was an electricity in the air. Them starting out with 'Reunited' was appropriate on many levels (them being reunited as a band and the band reuniting with their fans in their home town). Every song that they played was as intense and awe inspiring as the next. Three songs in to their set, I had already determined that it was the best show that I've seen. A not on the venue; the Warfield: there is not a bad seat in the house, with elevated seating that left even the furthest rows with a perfect view. A really nice theater feel to the stage as well. HOWEVER, they had an asinine rule that there were no drinks allowed in the balcony seating. Why, you may ask? That is the million dollar question. Drinks were allowed below, but not above. I have been to at least a dozen venues with balcony seating and this is the first time that I have ever heard of this. Dumb rule, but not enough to blemish an incredible night.

The main event: The Faith No More set was incredible and lived up to all the hype and YouTube snippets of the European festivals, very personal setting, though a bit short for my liking compared to their 2 1/2 hour sets headlining the big fests across the world. Every song hit hard and they proved they still got it and then some after 11 or so years apart. Only silght complaint were the two encores, only one song a piece, with a pretty anti-climatic ending, just a quick walk-off. Still overall a historical homecoming for one of the greatest 90's rock bands of the last couple of generations.

We flew from LA to San Francisco specifically to see FNM. Last night they proved that after 10 years that they are still one of the best rock bands of all time. I wish we could go again tonight knowing that they always put on a great show. I hope they keep up the momentum, start writing again and do another tour soon.

OMG!! This was a GREAT SHOW!! Faith No More was sooooo good! Mike Pattons voice was so clear and clean. The band sounded great, lead guitar AWESOME!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Warfield. Wonderful, beautiful place for a concert. They played all the greats and came out for three encores. I wish they wouldve come on a little sooner than ten, and their were a couple mix ups with the sound but overall one of my tops!!

I was excited to see Faith No More, one of my favorite bands, for the first time last night. Wow, what a show! The sound at the Warfield was great as always, the band was super-tight and energized, and Mike Patton's rock-solid vocals were every bit as good as on FNM's albums. Songs included "Mid-Life Crisis," "Gentle Art of Making Enemies," "The Real Thing," and even a spellbinding version of Michael Jackson's "Ben." The between-song stage banter was also hilarious--"Way to go, drummer," says Mike Patton when drummer Mike Bordin accidentally drops a large birthday cake being presented to their guitar player who's birthday was that night. "Are you guys bored, you guys look bored," taunted Mike Patton to the crowd, who responded with defensive cheering. I was actually saddened to leave after the last song. At least I can say I've seen Faith No More in my lifetime--many years later after their formation, but just as good if not better.

I attended the Monday night show with a friend. It was awesome. Great covers, starting with "Reunitied", then Lady Gaga's Pokerface midshow and ending with "This Guy's In Love". One small quibble, Faith No More left out my favorite song "A Small Victory". Otherwise a four star thumbs up concert.

this guys are jamming like they never stoped playing together. as with most acts that have been out of the loop a while the singer is frequently the X factor; but I gotta say I don't think Michael Patton ever sounded better he absolutely blew the roof off of the Warfield!! Fantastic show, what a way to kick off their SF dates. So happy to have a chance to see my favs performed live, the band sounds great. Not exactly pleased with the sound system @ Warfield, it was way too distorted and you could not hear each instrument clearly. Mike Patton is one of the most underrated singers, his voice sounds amazing, even after all the screaming!

Faith No More's opening night of their reunion tour at the Warfield in San Francisco was phenomenal. Energetic, electric performance to an audience of Faith No More partials. There were long lines for merch....lines for drinks....the place was rocking by the time the band came on stage at about 10:15 pm. The band played a wide array of songs....and totally tore the place up before a hometown crowd. Faith No More put on a totally enjoyable show!!!

The show was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The guys opened with a cover of Peaches & Herb's Reunited and then went into From Out of Nowhere. They played all the songs you would expect them to play (Epic, Land of Sunshine, Last Cup of Sorrow, Chinese Arithmetic) and kept rocking the entire time. They ended up doing 3 or 4 encores; The last being when the main lights had already come up and people were filing out of the theater. Overall it was a amazing show.

Faith No More's frontman, Mike Patton, is one of the few artists in the field of rock music who just get better with age. I've seen him years ago when his band toured with the Ozzfest. He and his band were good, but not as memorable. Over the years Mike has stretched and exercised his musical genius in many incarnations. Now that he's brought Faith No More back together you can noticeably see the results. He is more dynamic with his audience and a more polished artist. The band was awesomely tight. Dear Mike, please continue to make new music & always rock hard!

I wish I could go back in time and catch at least a couple more US shows as traveling to South America is not an option although I would love to see them perform with those die-hard fans! Let me try not to get too dramatic here... FNM--in my opinion (which is an amazing opinion, by the way)--is THE best band ever. My Numero Uno. I just get it. I get them. I get Mike. I can't really explain it, but I don't think I have to. Now, onto the review: This was the best night of my life. Seriously. The band brought it in every way. The music that was playing while setting up the stage was great, classic and humorous (Pink Panther Theme, Age of Aquarius). The actual set was meticulous, loved the theme of it all. Loved all the white, flowers, and beads. Even down to MP's red bandanna in his back pocket. The setlist was perfect...IT WAS ALL SO PERFECT!!! I've been to a pretty decent amount of concerts in my time. I've seen a lot of bands. I gotta say I have NEVER heard a band sound as great live as FNM. They make it look so easy! I hollered, I sang, I cheered, I danced, I jumped. I, uh...elbowed some chick in the head. Hey, I apologized. But, come on!! Who sits down during a FNM concert???!!! Go sit in the lounge if you're not feeling well or you're tired. It's safer. We FNM fans are passionate...and a little crazy. Thank you, Faith No More. Been a fan for 25 years and finally got to see you guys. It was EPIC! Totally filled with gratitude.

Faith No More haven't lost any of their energy or love for what they do. There's still good chemistry between the band and plenty of amusing audience interaction as well. The setlist was a fun journey through the back catalog with a healthy dose of the new stuff which sounds great. Opening the set with The Real Thing was a real surprise and they were 6 songs in before they played anything new (Black Friday). They dipped heavily into Angel Dust throughout the show, dabbled in King for a Day and Album Of The Year and needless to say, played Epic which is actually one of my least favorite FNM songs due to sheer overplay. The performance was pretty seamless all the same and just showed not only how comfortably the new stuff sits with the old stuff - while different enough to remain interesting - but also how well their music in general stands the test of time. I didn't know much about the opening band Refused beforehand but was pleasantly surprised. They were a super tight and high energy genre hopping mix of groove metal, scream core and hardcore punk. As for the venue, getting in and out was fine, but - probably due to the unexplained late venue change - they were completely unprepared for a hard rock crowd all wanting beers at the same time. The queues for the bars were like nothing I've ever seen and the number of staff and stock on hand were completely inadequate. In the end, I just gave up and made sure I didn't miss the start of FNM's set. Not a bad decision as it turned out! Faith No More: Still Epic after all these years ;)

Being a fan for 25 years, I finally saw FNM and I was NOT disappointed! They played with every bit of energy and character that their music demands and did it with style. Easily one of my top shows ever! So glad it was moved to the smaller venue. The only complaint I have is that the set seemed a little short. I would've liked a few more tunes, but 5-stars all the way! Easily one of the most important & influential bands of the last 30 years & they lived up to that status! I've written reviews for FNM a few times here and this show at the theater @ Msg in front of a packed house was something that needed to be experienced live. With 6 songs played off their classic album ANGEL DUST including rare performances of A SMALL VICTORY and RV. The band sounded better than in their youth and the crowd was loving every second of it. Have say again how amazing the new songs (5 off the new album Sol Invictus tonight) Black Friday and the soon to be a classic Matador were highlights. Ending with Just A Man was the perfect finale. I have a feeling we might not see this band live for awhile. I hope I'm wrong.

Faith No More is not touring to cash checks, that's for sure. This was a great performance. The band is super tight, and Patten still has his complete vocal toolbox on board. The stage set was simple (everything white) and not distracting to the people or music coming from the stage - but it did look great when different gels were turned on. The color saturations were stellar. Been a fan of this band for 30 years, and loved hearing some older stuff, but I enjoyed myself most during the Sol Invictus songs. This new album is awesome and I think they could've played even more from it. I danced for 90 minutes. I didn't see a single person sit down the entire show. Go see it.

Once again, Faith No More has outdone themselves with their live show. We last saw them here at the Mann for the Second Coming tour a few years back and the years have been kind to all the members of the group. They only get better with age. We have been graced with their presence since we won the lottery both times with this tour. The set list was varied with a good selections of older songs along with some new songs from Sol Invictus. My only criticism of the concert is that I would have loved to have heard more of the new music. Also, I felt that the lackluster response of the crowd was an insult to the band. The Philadelphia area does not seem to appreciate the fact that this band chose to play here twice recently and was one of the few dates in the US for previous Second Coming tour. Who knows if they will ever tour again! It was a honor to be able to see them again. The opening act, The Refused was OK but seemed to have a fan base that was truly happy to see them.

I can't believe it's been so long between shows. My first was in 1990 when they opened for Robert Plant. I was blown away then and nothing has changed. Their energy was magnetic. Each of the band members seemed to be having a wonderful time. Mike Patton's voice is absolutely mesmerizing. How he can go from a full throat scream in one song to a soft pop song next is hard to understand. Considering that this tour has them doing shows night after night, it's a miracle that his voice is still so perfect. Love them. Will see them again as soon as possible.

With a lead singer that has over 5 octaves of vocal range and who isn't shy about showing that off and a band with over 20 years of history and experience, it's literally jaw dropping and awe inspiring to see a performance of this caliber.

The venue was nice, the crowd was well behaved but stoked. Good friends, good music. I felt like a kid again. On top of all that, the band was great and the sunset was awe inspiring! I think that it inspired the band to give it a little more than usual. All in all it combined together to be a amazing night!

WOW, WOW, WOW, excellent, Mike Patton and Faith No More are some the most talented musicians in the world! The show could not be any better! I have been a fan for 20 plus years and never seen them live, and they did not disappoint!!!! See this show at all costs!!!!!

Killer venue, Killer show. Jim Martin was missed but in appearance only. The band sounded phenomenal. I didn't want it to end.

It was as if they never missed a beat! Hopefully they come back after touring overseas and play a full set for Philly. Seems they only played one oncore when other venues had 2. Would have loved to have heard We Care A Lot, I Started a Joke and some of the other songs that weren't played at the Philly show.

The show was beautiful, the band sounded tight and like they'd never broken up. Mike Patton sounded amazing and just throws off personality like heat. The venue was pretty good, good sight lines, great view of Manhattan - which the band mostly enjoyed since they were facing it :) - and plenty of food and port-o-potties - there was even toilet paper in the port-o's at the end of the show!

Faith No More had Neil Hamburger open the show and do his comedy. It was priceless. I couldn't even keep up with how man digs at the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Rahzel came out afterward and did some of the maddest beats you ever felt rattle your insides. It felt like a never-ending earthquake. He put every buildings structural soundness in the area to the test. Neil once again emerged to surprise us with even more digs. Just when we thought there couldn't possibly be any more... ZING! (coughhackcough) Ladies and gentlemen: FAITH NO MORE! Faith No More comes out dressed to kill (as always) and kicks off one hell of a show with REUNITED. The set list was insane. It had every song I had hoped to hear. I couldn't even tell you right now about the set list because I am still in rant and rave mode about the concert as a whole. They even took a moment to have all of us turn around and admire the city skyline that makes New York.... well, New York. Did I mention this was held at the Williamsburg Waterfront? What a great place for a concert. The view in every direction is spectacular, it sits on the water, its outdoors and generally just a nice place to be. Faith No More... Thank you so much for reuniting. You made the wait worth my while. ---t00F

I was a casual fan of FNM but after their performance at the iconic Warfield in San Francisco, I have become a disciple of their experimental music and presentation. The mixing of the Commodores Easy with their post punk mental trash etc, at first seems absurd. But they make it work with their exuberance and obvious love of music. The venue was filled with old and new fans and all seem to have enjoyed the symphony of musical styles.

Best concert I've ever been, incredible, after all these years FNM still kick ass, songs still are progressive-thinking music and never sound old. Nice venue, nice city, beautiful crowd. Band performed awesome. 100% Recommended, but if you missed it too bad.

I have seen Mike Patton in several of his other projects but this seems like the Mike of the 80's and 90's. High energy, interacting with the crowd and lots of great vocals! In other bands he just plays with his toys, recorders and effects which might be fun for him... but no so much for us. My ears will be ringing for days!

So amazing! I have been hoping for a reunion for YEARS! I didn't want to leave when they finished, and thank goodness because they came out when half the place was cleared to do a final encore! YAY! I was a little worried that they wouldn't rock because of their ages (to be honest), but they continued to impress throughout the entire show! Rockin my ass off!!!!

And destroyed their hometown of San Francisco in doing so. Unbelievable energy the whole night from the crowd and the band. If you can get tickets to tonight or tomorows show, do it!

They played with as much energy as I have ever seen any band play with. They played all of their hits. They played THREE encores!! What else is there to say. FNM is has it and I hope they keep making music for a long time to come.

This was an outdoor event in Atlanta in August. It was pretty hot. However, the concert was great. Mike Patton has an awesome voice. I was standing towards the back of the field and could hear and see everything just fine. I would definitely go back to this venue if I'm in town.

Faith No More was awesome and Refused put on a good show with their energy. The drummer was off a lot, though, and didn't even know one of the songs in the set list. FNM was everything I hoped for and more! Only complaint about them was that they didn't play 2-3 songs I knew pretty good...good stage show and Patton had me in tears at times with his craziness! lmfao Check them out and you won't be disappointed!

What a terrific night of rocking entertainment. Refused was really good, FNM was sublime. So good to see them back together after all these years. Husband saw them in early nineties and still talks about that show as one of the best. They did not disappoint.

When I purchased the tickets, I had never heard of Refused, but was thoroughly impressed when the boys hit the stage and came out swinging! Refused and their music was KILLER!!!! They provided the momentum for the show, but when Faith No More knocked it right out of the amphitheater by starting off their set with "Motherf*cker"! It was a great night and THANK GOD for the cooler temps for a summer night in NC!!! Oh, and some advice for the 55+ year old attendees who decide to start sh*t in the PIT, take your Geritol and chill out! No one wants to get arrested hitting a senior citizen because said senior citizen had one too many drinks of "liquid courage" during the show!

One of the few bands that needs to continue touring! The side projects and solo missions are good but FNM is one of the entertainment treasures. Mike Patton is one of the most talented artists alive! Dave Grohl and Mike Patton keep cross genre music alive and kicking!

Amazing show! If you are a fan and you don't go to one of these shows, you should be ashamed of yourself and just stop listening to music. These guys were as tight as a misquito's butthole. Best concert I've seen in well over a decade. Mike Patton and the guys have really raised the bar for everyone. Don't miss this tour!

Awesome? Amazing? I don't think those words quite capture it. I can't claim to have ever been a FNM super fan in the past. I liked them fine but was never blown away. Now...blown away. What a performance! The band was tight and on point. The vocals were inhuman. Seriously! Patton needs a spot on the X-Men or something. Can't express, through type, the proper level of enthusiasm behind my recommendation to see them if you haven't already. If you have seen them then see them again.
