My husband and I attended this concert at the recommendation of our daughter. I found Isakov's voice to be compelling and his onstage presence easy going. His band mates are all very gifted musicians and he would do well to give them more opportunity to shine in his set list. We sat in the balcony at Liberty Hall and unfortunately the acoustics were so terrible we couldn't understand a single word. The only enjoyable portion of the concert was when the band used a single mike (their version of "unplugged") and then it was truly a magical experience!

Greg is one of my favorite artists of all time. Not only are his lyrics powerful and beautifully poetic, but the sound he can achieve with his band + the orchestra are truly awesome. He seems like a genuine down to earth guy and made the space at the Fox theater seem so personal despite being large. He is a thoughtful musician who is happy to share his art with everyone and has a good time doing so with his band on stage. Despite feeling less personal than a smaller theater, the acoustics of the fox theater were unbelievalble. This must have also been due to the orchestra backing him up on most songs. Even the most familiar songs had an interesting and beautiful twist. This man is a musical genius; he continues to inspire me to travel, be myself, love life and what it has to offer, and continue my own passion as a musician. Thank you Greg + company for sharing your heart and soul with me.

This was one of the best musical experiences I have ever had. I had chills the entire night, and Gregory Alan Isakov's voice with Magic Magic orchestra in the background made me want to cry. I wish he released an album with the orchestra in the background. It was a beautiful experience.

Incredible sounds. Well-balanced between the band and the orchestra which is no small feat. The backing orchestra added depth and drama to Gregory Alan Isakov's normally mournful folk sounds. They also played a few songs sans orchestra which was fun and it was nice to hear glimpses of the simple acoustic folk that got me hooked in the first place. I'd go again tomorrow if I got the chance!

This event was absolutely beautiful. Isakov is a very talented song writer and the orchestra accompaniment left everyone in the audience in awe. The show was very low key. Isakov had to prod the audience to show some excitement. I think everyone was trying to be respectful of the orchestra.

Gregory Alan Isakov group is great; addition of the "ghost orchestra" made them even better. Highly recommend the show. One minor issue was the somewhat muffled sound of the vocals - otherwise would have been 5 stars!

Love his music and enjoyed the show, but way to loud. I thought about leaving after he started playing. It's not worth it to me having hearing damage due to a concert. I'll be listening to him on cd's in the future at my house, but you wont see me at a live show. Music was almost muffled because of the volume and not clear like he is on the cd's. Overall was disappointed with the show because of the volume issues. He needs to find another audio engineer.

The ground has certainly found a new voice with the orchestra - though we didn't get the full instrumentals of the concert hall shows, the small club-feel make a huge sound feel intimate and raw. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Gregory Alan Isakov is a great song writer and performer, but his music along with the orchestra is fantastic. The Maine Youth Rock Orchestra was certainly up to the task performing with the band. Sound wasd just right for such a powerful performance. Would see him again tomorrow if he is back in town!

I have long followed Isakov's music. When I discovered he was playing with the Atlanta Symphony, I was floored and had to go. His performance was extravagant. I will cherish his concert in my memories for a long time to come.

Gregory Alan Isakov and his band of friends captured the crowd at the Sinclair on Tuesday night from the opening note to the end. It was like we were all hanging out while the boys let their music wash over us. Simply put, great show.
