Florence K

Florence K and her band, Dominique on Bass and Richard on Drums put on an outstanding Jazz performance. Florence mixed original songs with jazz standards and added her own touch to both, with a sprinkle of her wonderful sense of humor added to the mix. Her original songs felt familiar and the standards felt fresh. On piano, she is a prodigy. Her bass player and drummer were certainly able to keep up. Great show. I hope she makes South Florida a frequent stop on her tour.

The Joy Formidable

With all the big productions of Life Is Beautiful, it was a nice change to go see The Joy Formidable which felt more stripped down and real. They still had fun viscual effects going on the screen behind them. Seeing them live just made me so happy! Even my friends who had not heard too much of them were dancing and having a great time. See them if you can!

Sir Sidney Poitier

Mr Poitier related is life before celebrity and political activism without "preaching". How refreshing and how relevant when most of us are anonymous and willingly apathetic at the wrong time. There was only one message. Be yourself, do not harm and assist others to live with the greatest dignity. Thank you Mr Poitier for reminding me to stay the course. The question and answer period did not work well. It should have been controlled from the stage not from the audience with the house lights down..fortunately for Mr Poitier, it did not turn into a book signing event.

Jose James

Jose James is one of the most talented artists on the music scene today. He is jazz, soul, r&b and big band all rolled into one. Jose had the audience mesmerized with his unique interpretations of classic songs that we're used to hearing done another way. Music lovers owe it to themselves to see him live...they will be forever changed.

The only thing that would have been better is if Frank himself had performed - this show was remarkable, a genuine tribute to a superb performer and man who clearly touched many hearts throughout his life - happy birthday, Frank!

THIS WAS MY SECOND TIME SEEING HIS GREATNESS MR. P. BEAR IN BROOKLYN. I LOVED THE FIRST SHOW BUT, AND I WONT USE SWEARS IN MY REVIEW BC JESUS IS WATCHING, HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!! I WAS IN THE FRONT ROW OF COURSE, AND SOMETIMES I FELT LIKE I WAS DYING BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY LIGHTS AND I WAS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF A SPEAKER, BUT HONESTLY AT THAT POINT I HAD ACCEPTED MY FATE. I DID NOT DIE BUT I DEFINITELY HAD A RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE LIKE MOST PEOPLE DO AT PBEAR SHOWS. HE PLAYS SOME NEW SONGS AND SOME REWORKS OF OLD SONGS THAT WILL BLOW UR FREAKING PANTS OFF. I LEFT THIS SHOW SCREAMING GOD BLESS PANDA BEAR!!!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!!
