One of the best live shows I've seen this year. Every song was better than the last. Thom is one of the only performers that completely grooves to every moment of his songs. He knows how to get down.

i personally have never seen either radiohead or rhcp live so it was a great experience to see thom and flea perform. i also think its rather amazing to see this kind of music performed live. it sounds very electronic on recordings, but you see its all instrumental. so cool to watch. thom did two solo songs, one on guitar and one on piano (everything in its right place). both awesome. what can you say when you see music like this in a small venue? i was blown away. not to mention i had a cold so i talked the doorman into letting me into VIP. nice add on! some other rock legends in the house. Michael Stipe (REM), one of the dudes from The Talking Heads. Also spotted Paul Rudd. Overall great experience, even with the cold. I feel much better today!

Atoms for Peace was out of control. Thom Yorke knows exactly how to keep the audience interested and into the music with his crazy moves and fun attitude. Most people at the show were real nice. Roseland Ballroom just isn't the best place for people under 6 feet tall (I'm 5'3") because it's impossible to see anything if you're not in the front row!

Thom is just an amazing entertainer and looked like he was having a great time. The band was great . Loved hearing Eraser and RH stuff. Wish I could return tonite for show 2. anxious to see the play list .. Thrilled they did "feeling pulled apart by horses" !! :):):):):):):):)

The show was a lot of fun - you could really tell the guys were enjoying themselves up there. It was great to see Thom a bit more relaxed and playful with the crowd; he seemed really responsive and accessible in the setting. All the songs were performed brilliantly with great energy and intrumentation. And of course, Flea was a lot of fun to watch rock OUT. Great dynamic, great show. Highly recommended!

Roseland is an amazing venue. Nice and intimate. There are even a row of seats up against the wall, which is nice if you don't feel like being pushed and having sweaty bodies brushing up against you all night. I have never seen Radiohead, but Thom Yorke definitely won my respect. To see him and Flea jumping around on stage and vibing off of eachothers guitars was priceless. At times I felt like Thom was channeling his inner raver. The fans were pretty tame in the general admission standing area on the floor.

This was just a special show. I enjoyed the Atoms for Peace album, but not as much as I expected to. Thusly I was naturally a bit cautious of getting tickets for the live show. But hey,it is Thom Yorke, so I bought them and couldn't be happier that I did. From the moment they came on stage all the way through the two encore's they just rocked, plain and simple. The Electronic Infused Rock of Flea and Thom Yorke radiated though the Hollywood Bowl and 95% of the crowd never left their feet. Probably because at various moments in the show Thom and Flea were engaged in a vigorous dance battle which seemed to repeat itself throughout the Bowl, from aisle to aisle. At the end of all this,at the end of two Encore's,they said goodnight and as we left the sreens flashed a message: Don't leave:Please Stay...and that led to a new music video for "Before Your Very Eyes" Playing on the monitors...perfect way to end a great show...a special show.

I've read that there isn't a bad seat in the Hollywood Bowl, and we did have seats quite far from the stage, but the sound was incredible. And, the big side screens helped with the close-up shots. The light show didn't need premium seats, either.

The transformation of AMOK into a life performance was sloppy and poorly executed. I expect more from musicians like Flea and Thom York. I was also disappointed by the stage design. The fact they built up the crowd excitement at the end of the show to what I thought would be a special guest encore, was even more distasteful and deceiving. I did not pay to see a video premier in a giant screen. Not worth the money. I'd recommend to anyone considering going to wait for the DVD to come out.

Fantastic show, would have paid three times the price for what was offered. Flea, Thom Yorke, and the entire band were on fire, they played with energy and purpose, crowd came alive and the Hollywood Bowl was en fuego. I don't have the set list, but it was mostly new stuff with the Unkle/Thom Yorke song "rabbit in your headlights" also thrown in, one of my favorite songs of all time, but with Flea voicing Danny Aiello's line from Jacob's Ladder. If you have a chance to see these guys, you need to do it, they don't sound like anyone else in the music landscape.

This writer went into the Hollywood Bowl purposely NOT having had listened to any of the music from "Atoms". I was a little worried about the show being dominated by the EDM sound. I missed the opening act, but heard it was a full-on EDM act, so I was pleased that I had missed it. It was all positive ions of energy when the Atoms took the stage. You can't help but get positive energy from bass player extraordinaire, Flea, as he jumped and hustled around the stage like his namesake. Like Flea, Thom Yorke is spending time away from his main day job and appears to be having fun with Atoms. Thom is a great singer to have for the kind of music that Atoms for Peace present. I would have to call this newer sound mostly IDM, rather than EDM. Intelligent Dance Music, as it dawned on me in the first third of show, is something I don't think I have witnessed, but found it very moving. Using atoms and energy together to explain the sound is moving in itself. I would compare and label this music as a kind of, "King Crimson of IDM", with vocals. Like King Crimson, Atoms has the energy and intensity flowing throughout its movements and also has the jazz influences that most bands of this genre and statue do not have. The set was split up. They did about a forty minute set and took about an eight minute break then came back out and did another thirty minutes. Upon leaving the stage they were about ten minutes from the Hollywood Bowl curfew and as house lights stayed dark and the audience continued clapping, a video came on and teased the crowd for the remaining ten minutes, with no return of the band. When the video was over so was the show, as the house lights came up.

It was a birthday celebration for bassist Flea and percussionist Mauro as Thom Yorke brought his groove-centric side project to the bowl on a beautiful warm night in Hollywood. They played most of the new record as well as Thom's solo material and even a Radiohead B- side. It was the new stuff, though, that really impressed. Their mix of Afro Beat, tribal, house and trance turned the Bowl into one big rave in Lagos. Since these new songs sound so different than the recorded versions a live album is in order.

This was my first concert I ever attended! So it was quite an experience, that and because I went by myself. I was hesitant at first, but as soon as the music started playing, I was so in the moment! I mean, omg I finally got to see Thom Yorke!!! I mean of course it would've been better had I purchased pool circle tickets, but what can I say, I'm content with the seat I got! I've tried purchasing radiohead tickets for their King of limbs tour, but had no luck. So I'm fortunate to have purchased Atoms for peace tickets though a radiohead concert would be 100 times better! Overall a great experience! Good things :)

Atoms for Peace; wow, what a treat to see live! Thom Yorke and Nigel of Radiohead and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Need I say more? Obviously, these two artists come from bands and backgrounds that are huge and great at what they do. But Atoms for Peace manages to create a life of it's own, with intense Afro beat inspired rhythms by the wonderful Joey Waronker and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco. Although quite a rarity to hear Thom Yorke's solo work (The Eraser) be played live, it was even more interesting to hear Amok, the record these musicians created together. The crowd was full of energy, moving to the music and Thom and Flea acting as conductors and gesturing to the crowd. Bottom line, don't go expecting Radiohead. They are meticulous and methodical, perfect in execution. That being said, Atoms for Peace is spontaneous and rhythmic, almost like a night at the club with great music and dancing. Sometimes meticulousness does not necessarily mean better. The band creates something rare and special, and runs amok... Literally. Opening act was nothing great, typical ambient electronica you can find on YouTube or maybe a club. Boring and unimaginative when compared to Flying Lotus, the brilliant opener and musician that opened during their 2010 tour. But Atoms for Peace was too excellent to give this anything but 5 stars! If you have a chance to see this rarity, do it!!!

From the ambient music while the stage hands set up, to the last notes before the house lights denoted the end, one was left feeling as though they just witnessed something special. Really very amazing. It is unfortunate, however, that the 10:00pm curfew cut into the second and third encores that the band had been playing at the other venues on this tour. Might I suggest that the concerts begin an hour or two earlier so the band doesn't feel like they are being rushed off stage. It is a little distracting seeing the tour busses start up and move into position for the bands departure while the show is still happening.

Thom Yorke never disappoints, whether in studio or live. His live collaboration with Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, long time Radiohead producer and musical genius in his own right Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker, and percussionist/drummer Mauro Refosco is nothing short of a euphoric flow of the musical type. Every song carried the audience through rhythms and beats that only can only be described out of a dream sequence. Yorke's lyrical prowess and unique voice coupled with these rhythms, beats and movements communicated something that was far beyond "entertainment." It tapped into a sense of life and energy in every audience member as well as the artists themselves. While glancing around for people's expressions around me, I discerned curious smiles and movements not merely of happiness or excitement, but of a level of connection to the music. Changing the setlist for every show also perhaps keeps the band from seeming predictable to us and themselves. That night at the Fox Theater in Oakland there was a perfect harmony between musicians and listeners. We had all let go of expectations and the incessant thoughts of everyday life and tasks, and were focused on this one thing. Call it an escape or merely the luck of the draw. Alas, we found a moment of peace. At some point, I could not help but think that it was all unreal. That as Thom Yorke's voice echoed in "Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses," it was all a figment of my imagination. Then I realized that Atoms For Peace had indeed taken me to another state of my mind and consciousness. Simply pure genius.

Atoms For Peace at the Fox Theater in Oakland was totally sick. Flea was flipping out from the first note, the percussion was ridiculous the whole show and Thom was amazing on guitar, piano and of course on vocals. The band looked like they were having a blast and Thom's banter with the crowd was short enough not to be annoying but it was really engaging. The light show was perfect with each song. It had great colors and movement but wasn't too much to be distracting. I sat up in the balcony but would sell my left kidney to get pit tickets for this show if it came around again. They played tracks from the Eraser, some goodies from Radiohead and some new stuff. The crowd cheered for a good 10 minutes after the band left the stage and their encore, "Love Will Tear Us Apart," blew everyone away. Great memories AFP. A heart you.

I am a huuuuge Radiohead and Thom Yorke fan, and they never ever fail to deliver. As a band that haven't been together for that long, they read each other well and they vibe off of one another in perfect unison. Each musician is meticulous in their craft, and you can just tell they are having a kick a** time on stage! Thom was in a great mood and talkative... oh his dancing... he was giving it to the ladies!! His voice was well rested I think, so on ballads like Lotus Flower, he rocked it out. I've always looooved Paperback Writer, it's perfect for Flea. Harrowdown hill was pretty cool too. A full band rendition of Follow me around was priceless! It was a real treat to have been there. I can't help but feel a little cheated. Thom Yorke's new band Atoms For Peace are easily one of the most innovative and crushing acts in the world at this moment. Which is why I didn't hesitate to pay for the not-cheap tickets and drive the 9-hour-round-trip drive from Detroit to see them in Chicago. But what we got was a phenomenal performance which was more fun to watch than listen to. With a singer like Thom Yorke in the band, vocals are essential. And yet they were mixed lower and less clearly than shows I see at local dive clubs. I think they were trying to hype the low end and percussion to make the band sound like a live equivalent to the glitch beat production used on Thom's record, and so there was too much emphasis on sub frequencies and kick drums in general. I feel weird complaining about such a great band who performed their asses off, but the bad sound really bummed me and my friends out. The same went for opener Flying Lotus's set. It was a laptop performance, in theory much easier to control the mix on. But it was sonic mush.

First off I'm a HUGE fan of this band. This is the 4th time I've seen them, and I've seen Radiohead numerous times as well. Usually I would give Atoms for Peace an easy 5 star rating, but this time was different. I feel like they went on late and ended early. After their encore I noticed there was still 13 minutes left. Myself and the almost 20k people in the audience with me thought they would play at least one more song, as shows can go to 11pm at the Bowl. Instead of coming out to play another song they debuted their music video on the video screens. LAAAAME!!! They could have just emailed us all their video, and played another song.

The CD is even better to listen to after seeing them.

I admire these musicians tremendously, and I am a huge fan of their main projects. They're basically doing drum and bass that others do much better and makes me want to listen to Radiohead. A night at the Bowl is always magical, but the music was pretty meh.

The energy of this group was amazing. I came with husband and 10 year old son. The overall performance was amazing, couldn't help but dance (even though the other hollywood people were too cool for that, I guess- hah).

I hadn't listened to the album but I enjoyed it anyway. It was a little distracting seeing flea running around. He did the same moves with the red hot chili peppers. I had to ask myself was it 1996?

The opening band could have been better. But that wasn't the point as soon as thom walked out on stage the whole crowd arose. He played a really great set of songs. Thom Yorke has the voice of an angel. Go to this concert now!

This supergroup puts on a show not to be missed. Thom and Flea provided maximum entertainment, artistry and soul while the other performers were totally incredible as well. They did two encore sets and at the end of the night, nobody wanted to leave the show!

If you have an opportunity to see these guys Do Not pass it up. And incredible show with the group playing all the songs from their debut album (not in order) with some other tracks added in. While all of the AMOK songs were easily recognized, they all had cool intro variations or other live tweaks that make seeing a live show like this so amazing. Could Not sit down the entire concert!! See them!!! Oh, and the lighting behind the stage was So cool!

Don't expect the Thom of Radiohead, he's free. Be prepared to dance, unless you just don't, in which case, get over yourself. The beats just move you even if you have no ryhym. I have NEVER enjoyed myself more. A MUST SEE BAND!!!

Since I was only moderately impressed with Atom for Peace's Amok album, I was unsure about attending this concert. But in the end my curiosity and undying love of all things Radiohead won out. I can't tell you how happy I am that I made that choice! The live experience is barely comperable to the recorded version. Aside from the lights, the performance and Thom Yorke's enthusiastic dancing, the instrumentation for the live performance was amazing! These adaptations upped the energy level and highlighted the band's impressive musical talents. I would choose to llisten to a live recording of Amok over the studio version any day. And his performance of UNKLE's "Rabbit in Your Headlights" was a sweet treat!

The show was fantastic! The layers of sounds and beats mixed to create new enhanced versions of familiar songs from this awesome collaboration. The musicianship was impressive. Flea is entertaining to watch too. Great time. Highly recommend it.

With Thom Yorke's voice soaring over body-shaking (technically brilliant) percussion and Flea's frenetic yet controlled bass: how could the concert be anything but wonderful? I certainly liked the album Amok, but played live by this super-band, it reached a whole new level. The music managed to be both thrillingly electronic and sensually immediate. It was great to see Thom Yorke and Flea dancing with abandon, but again, also with control. I think "Stuck Together Pieces" may have been the highlight of the show for me. Tight and engaging on the album, it came *alive" on stage, funked up and rocked up. That song serves as a great metonym for the band itself and for what they have been able to achieve first in the studio and then on stage. I wish I could seem them again on this tour!

This was one of the best live performances I've ever seen. They're taking music and sound to another level. It's incredible how they can take all the digital sounds on the album and play them live and make it sound 50 million times better than the album version. Now that's true talent and true musicianship!!!!!!

It was like watching a show performed by an unknown band. There was not a lot of people but the energy was high. I would love to see a video from the show.

The band rocked out...sounded amazing.... my only complaints are that there were no TVs for us peons siting in the back..... it was definitely hard to see the band. Also, not a fan of Barclays Center - seats are very tight and they stopped serving alcohol really early.
